2. Counting rooms returns five or six machines, and a 4BHK is where I argue with the count. Five Sukoons is ₹9,495 and six is ₹11,394, with fifteen or eighteen bottles included. The arithmetic is sound; the chore is not. Five or six 500ml tanks to empty, rinse and refill on the same morning every week is the point at which households quietly stop.
3. Start at ₹7,596 and stage the rest. Four Sukoons in the bedrooms is the first purchase on any budget, because it puts a fragrance somebody chose in every room a person sleeps in. Nothing is superseded later: the machines cost the same in November, every bottle fits every ultrasonic tank, and a 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799 serves a machine you have not bought yet.
4. The wardrobe is five to seven bottles and mostly free. One house signature held permanently in the common zone plus one character per bedroom, with two more for arrivals and winter. Twelve 15ml bottles arrive with four machines, and the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 is roughly ₹257 a bottle against ₹2,093 for seven singles.
5. What a 4BHK should never buy. Two ultrasonic units in one open plan, a machine in the corridor, a 500ml unit in a bathroom, the Megh at ₹3,499 for a five-door flat, the Aangan at ₹25,999 which is an HVAC system for 8,000–10,000 sq ft, or essential oils in an ultrasonic tank.

Step one: the hardware, zone by zone
SOSA makes several home and commercial scenting systems and only five of them matter to a 4BHK — the Sukoon for the rooms that close, the Vaayu for the connected common zone, the Boond for a bathroom, reeds for a bedroom still waiting and a candle for the evening somebody stays. Everything else in the catalogue exists because a 2,400 sq ft flat and a 15,000 sq ft lobby are not the same problem. The deciding concept is the enclosed air mass: fragrance is stopped by a closed door long before it is exhausted by distance, which is why the same 2,400 sq ft would need one machine as a loft and five or six as a 4BHK — and why the honest answer at this size is two technologies rather than more of one.
Step two: every 4BHK setup, compared

Step three: the wardrobe, the schedule, the budget and what to skip
Start with the wardrobe, because a 4BHK is the first Indian home where it can honestly be large and because most of it costs nothing. Every Sukoon arrives with three 15ml Hotel Collection bottles of the buyer's choice, so four machines land with twelve and six with eighteen — spread that choice at checkout instead of ordering three of the same one and you own the entire seven-scent range on the first evening. The structure is one house signature plus one character per bedroom. Fixed: The Ritz-Carlton-inspired (white tea, bergamot, cedar) across the connected common zone, because it is the largest air mass, the one nearest the kitchen and the one the front door opens into, so it works hardest and must offend least; The St. Regis-inspired (amber, violet, woods) behind the master bedroom door, where richness is comfortable because you are conscious in that room for two hours rather than sixteen; 1 Hotels-inspired (cedarwood, vetiver, green leaves) where a teenager sleeps or a bedroom has become a study, since it is the driest and greenest in the range and eight conscious hours behind a door punish anything sweet; Westin-inspired (white tea, aloe, cedar) where a guest sleeps, chosen by subtraction because it has the least to say; and Shangri-La-inspired (jasmine, green tea, white tea) in the fourth bedroom for anybody who wants something softer than woods and citrus. Choose for the distance between bottles rather than the description of each — cedar runs through three of the seven and white tea through three, which is what keeps a 2,400 sq ft flat coherent while every door still changes what is behind it. Then the schedule and the budget, because a 4BHK setup fails at the schedule far more often than at the hardware. Bedroom units on low with the 2H timer, at least 1.5m from the pillow, where one 500ml fill lasts most of a week; the common zone steady or on the 4H timer while people are home, or genuinely scheduled from six in the evening if it is running on a Vaayu. Be clear about what the Sukoon's timers are: duration timers rather than a clock, so the machine runs for a set number of hours once you start it and cannot switch itself on — the only machine in the range with real scheduling is the Vaayu. Then pick one morning a week and do every tank together as a single circuit — empty, rinse, wipe the misting plate, refill with filtered or RO water in hard-water cities — rather than reacting to whichever machine has run dry, because the reactive version is what turns four machines into a rota nobody owns. On the budget, in the order I would spend it: ₹3,798 is two bedroom machines and the honest floor. ₹7,596 is four bedroom Sukoons with twelve bottles and is the first purchase on any budget. ₹9,395 adds a 300ml 300ml refill at roughly ₹6 per ml against about ₹20 per ml in 15ml bottles. ₹11,194 adds the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 — roughly ₹257 a bottle against ₹2,093 for seven singles, and since six singly is ₹1,794 the seventh is effectively free. ₹15,797 is the entry hybrid with two bedroom machines and ₹19,595 is the full one, with ₹23,193 adding both the refill and the Pack of 7 on top of it. Staging is unusually clean because nothing you buy first is superseded: the second, third and fourth machine are identical at ₹1,899, every bottle fits every ultrasonic tank, and a refill bought today serves a machine you have not bought yet. Now what to skip, plainly, because a 4BHK budget is exactly the situation in which people buy the wrong things. A fifth and sixth Sukoon — that is the money which would otherwise become the right machine for the common areas, and it buys two more weekly tanks in the two spaces that empty fastest and belong to nobody. Two ultrasonic units in one open plan — they overlap in the middle rather than adding their ratings together, so the centre gets heavier, the ends stay much as they were, and a bedroom has been left silent to achieve it; raise the first machine to 90–120cm and move it central instead. A machine in the corridor — it has no door of its own, nobody stands in it for more than a minute, and it borrows from whichever rooms are open, which is precisely the blending a hotel corridor performs for free. A 500ml unit in a bathroom — a 4BHK has three or four of them and each is far too small a volume for a machine rated at 270–320 sq ft; a Boond at ₹899 runs the same water-based bottles at the right scale. The Megh at ₹3,499 — a genuinely good 6-litre unit whose large tank solves refill frequency in one big space and still occupies exactly one room, because a tank is a duration and never a distance. The Aangan at ₹25,999 — an HVAC nebulising system for 8,000–10,000 sq ft, which is a hotel floor rather than a home, and Meenar at ₹38,500 more so. A machine for the bedroom nobody sleeps in — a reed diffuser from ₹749, a 130ml at ₹1,299 or the duo set at ₹1,598 keeps a guest room looked-after with no socket and no tank, and a candle from ₹379 handles the evening somebody actually arrives. The 4BHK is where I stopped being able to answer this question with a number, and it took me longer than it should have to admit it. For every smaller home the method holds — count the doors you close and then live behind, buy that many machines, spread the fragrances. Run it on a 4BHK and it says five or six, and the households who did exactly that are the ones who wrote to me a year later to say they now refill two of them.
So the complete answer here is a split rather than a count: the connected half of the flat on one waterless machine, the bedrooms on one Sukoon each. ₹19,595 for the full version, ₹15,797 for the two-bedroom one, and ₹7,596 for the part I would buy first on any budget. Three things I would like to leave you with. Start with the bedrooms, because a fragrance somebody chose behind their own door is the part households notice every day, and because nothing you buy first is superseded. Do the free half properly — the extractor, the shoe cupboard, the morning air, the machines at 90–120cm — since it outranks every product on this page. And be willing to stop early: four Sukoons, twelve bottles and a home where the common areas are simply doors standing open is an honest, good-smelling 4BHK, and I have no interest in talking anybody past it. What I will keep arguing against is the sixth tank. It is the same excellent machine in a perfectly reasonable room, and it is also the purchase that turns a habit into a chore — and a home fragrance habit that has become a chore is a home that smells of nothing by the end of the year.
