What you are chasing is a specific memory: the corridor outside a hotel spa, the towels, the cool air off a pool deck at seven in the morning. Here is the useful part — that memory is not a marine fragrance. The scent hotels actually run in those spaces is a white tea signature, which is fortunate, because there is no aquatic, marine or ozonic note in the SOSA Hotel Collection or anywhere else in the SOSA range. The thing you remember and the thing you assumed you remembered are different, and the first one costs ₹299.
Quick answers — read this first
The spa signature is white tea, not a marine accord — which is what hotels have run in those spaces for years.

The pick: the Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity — white tea, cooling aloe, soft cedar, ₹299 for 15ml.

Said plainly: there is no aquatic, marine or ozonic note in the SOSA range. The aloe gives the cool after-swim quality; it is not a marine note.
The short answer
Short answer: the Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity from the Hotel Collection — white tea, cooling aloe and soft cedar, ₹299 for 15ml. White tea and aloe is literally the spa register, and the aloe supplies the cool, after-swim quality. There is no aquatic, marine or ozonic note in the SOSA range, so nothing here is being offered as sea air.
The pick: the Westin-inspired (₹299) for the spa and bathroom; the Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury (white tea, bergamot, cedar, ₹299) for the lobby register — cooler air with a citrus lift that holds through traffic; the Shangri-La-inspired Tea Garden (₹299) for the green, Asian-spa reading of the same idea.
Shop: the Hotel Collection at ₹299 for 15ml, ₹999 for 100ml and ₹1,799 for 300ml at about ₹6 per millilitre. The Sukoon is ₹1,899 and runs 16–18 hours per 500ml fill on low, which is the continuity the hotel effect actually depends on. Free shipping above ₹499.
Straight answer
Which hotel-inspired fragrance suits somebody who loves fresh aquatic scents?
1. The spa smell you remember is white tea, not a marine accord. That register — cool tea, a green cooling note, a soft woody floor — is what has been running in hotel spas and pool corridors for years, because it holds all day and flatters wet skin, towels and stone.

2. There is no aquatic, marine or ozonic note in the SOSA range. None in the seven Hotel Collection scents, none in the alcohol-free reed line. If you came specifically for sea air in a diffuser, that is the answer, and it is better heard now.

3. Buy the Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity, ₹299 for 15ml. White tea, cooling aloe and soft cedar — the spa signature, weightless and restorative. The cooling aloe is the closest the range comes to that after-swim quality, and it is not the same as a marine note.

4. For the lobby rather than the spa, take the Ritz-Carlton-inspired. White tea and bergamot over clean cedar at ₹299 — the same family with a citrus lift and more structure, which is what a room with doors opening all day needs.

5. Then copy the method, not just the bottle. One scent, low output, running for long stretches rather than in bursts. A Sukoon at ₹1,899 gives 16–18 hours per 500ml fill on low, and continuity is most of what makes a building smell like a good hotel.

A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
TL;DR: the spa register you are remembering is white tea, not a marine note — and there is no aquatic note in the SOSA range. Buy the Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity at ₹299, run it at three or four drops on low for long stretches, and the cooling aloe does the after-swim part.
Westin-inspired · White Tea Serenity
The closest the range comes
Westin-inspired · White Tea Serenity ₹299 / 15ml
Serene white tea, cooling aloe and soft cedar — the spa signature, weightless and restorative. The aloe is the coolest material in the Hotel Collection and the nearest thing the range has to that just-showered, after-swim quality. It is not a marine note and I will not describe it as one: there is no aquatic, marine or ozonic note anywhere in the SOSA range. ₹299 for 15ml, ₹999 for 100ml.

What a hotel spa actually smells of

Stand in the corridor outside any decent hotel spa and try to name what is in the air. Most people say something like clean, or water, or cucumber, and what is generally running is a white tea composition with a cool green note in it and something quiet and woody underneath. Almost none of it is a marine accord, and that is a deliberate choice rather than an economy. The rest of the impression — the coolness, the wet stone, the sense of air moving — comes from the building: tiles, humidity, ventilation, towels, temperature. You have been crediting the fragrance with work that the architecture was doing.

1
THE PLAIN FACT
No aquatic or marine note in this range
Before the flattering part, the plain part. The Hotel Collection is seven scents and this is all of them: white tea, bergamot and cedar; white tea, aloe and cedar; cedarwood, vetiver and green leaves; amber, violet and woods; jasmine, green tea and white tea; citrus, soft florals and sandalwood; citrus, pepper and amber. There is no aquatic, marine or ozonic note in that list and none anywhere else in the SOSA range. These are SOSA's own interpretations of hotel moods, composed in India to IFRA standards and phthalate-free; SOSA is an independent house and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. The nearest thing to sea air is the cooling aloe in the Westin-inspired, and cooling is not marine.
2
THE HOTEL REASON
A spa scent has to survive a fourteen-hour day
Which is where the technical reason and the commercial one meet. A hotel scents a space that is occupied from six in the morning until late at night, and the composition it chooses has to read the same at hour one and hour twelve to a person who has just walked in. The materials that give a fragrance a marine, ozonic quality are among the most volatile a perfumer has — brilliant for the first twenty minutes of a perfume, largely finished long before a room has settled. No property is going to build its signature on materials that leave before the guests do.
What they use instead: tea, clean woods, soft citrus and green cooling notes — light enough to feel fresh, structured enough to still be there at ten at night.

THE ANSWER
White tea and aloe is literally that signature
So the recommendation is almost embarrassingly direct. The Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity at ₹299 is white tea, cooling aloe and soft cedar — serene, weightless, restorative, and the closest thing in the range to that cool, just-showered, after-swim quality you are describing. I will say the limit again in the same breath: it is not a marine note and it is not being offered as one. If you want the lobby rather than the spa, the Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury at ₹299 puts bergamot above the same clean cedar and holds better in a room with doors opening all day. Both are ₹299, so the entire hotel argument costs ₹598 to settle at home.

The seven scents, ranked for spa and pool-deck freshness

All seven Hotel Collection scents with their real note profiles, ranked by how close each comes to the spa corridor and the early-morning pool deck. The fourth column is the one to read. None of them is aquatic, because the range contains no marine note; the ranking is by coolness and cleanness, which is what those spaces actually smell of.

The spa setup, in three products
The SOSA principle
Hotels do not scent their spas with the sea. They scent them with tea.
Because a marine accord is finished before the first guest of the day has finished swimming, and a white tea is still doing its job at ten at night.

The hotel method — one scent, low output, all day

Continuity is the part everybody skips, and it is most of the effect. A hotel does not run its scent hard for an hour before you arrive; it runs it quietly and without interruption, so that the building has an odour rather than an event. Copying that at home is straightforward: pick one scent for the zone, run it on the low setting for long stretches, and resist changing it for months. The Sukoon at ₹1,899 gives 16–18 hours per 500ml fill on low at 30–50 ml/h against 9–12 on high, covers 270–320 sq ft and has steady, 2H and 4H timers with auto shut-off — which means the low-and-long shape is available without you having to think about it. The Hotel Collection is dosed at three to six drops per tank regardless of tank size, because you are scenting the mist rather than the water, and for a spa register three or four is right. Six drops of a white tea does not smell like a better spa; it smells like a smaller one.

Zoning matters almost as much, and hotels are disciplined about it in a way homes are not. A property does not run its spa scent in the bar. It runs a cool, clean composition where people are wet, tired or recovering, and something with more structure where they are arriving, meeting and leaving — and it keeps the boundary. At home that translates to the Westin-inspired in the bathroom and bedroom, the Ritz-Carlton-inspired in the hall and living room, and nothing at all in the kitchen, which is a room that should smell of ventilation rather than fragrance. If you want two zones running at once you need two machines: a Boond at ₹899 takes the same bottles at the same three to six drops, so the second room costs ₹899 rather than a second fragrance budget. And if the space is genuinely large or double-height, a Megh at ₹3,499 with a six-litre tank is the honest answer rather than running a smaller machine flat out all evening.

Finally, the two conditions that do more for a pool-deck impression than any bottle. First, air: fragrance layered over stale air produces something nobody chose, so ventilate for ten minutes and then diffuse rather than the other way round. Cool mist from a 2.4MHz plate is already on your side here — it is cool rather than heated, which is precisely why an ultrasonic diffuser suits this brief better than a candle does. Second, surfaces: hard floors, stone, glass and laundered cotton are what the memory is made of, and a heavily upholstered room will always read warmer than a tiled one at the same dose. Rinse the tank between scents so one register is not sitting under another, keep the machine at waist height or above because cool mist falls, and never substitute raw essential or carrier oils, which clog the plate. Buy 15ml at ₹299 to test all of this; the 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799 and about ₹6 per millilitre is for the scent that has already become the smell of the corridor.

The spa corridor you remember was tea, stone and ventilation. Only one of those three came out of a bottle.

The SOSA edit

In buying order for somebody chasing spa and pool-deck freshness at home. Two bottles and one machine is the whole of it for most people, and the final row is the honest note — because a buying guide that lists only what is in stock is an advertisement rather than a guide.

Not in the range: a marine or aquatic scent No aquatic, marine or ozonic note in the Hotel Collection or the reed line Said plainly — and hotels do not use one in their spas either
Honest notes for buyers: the Hotel Collection is a water-based fragrance for ultrasonic diffusers only — it runs in the Sukoon, Boond and Megh, and it does not go in reed diffusers or in the waterless Vaayu and HVAC machines, which take their own undiluted oil. Reed diffusers are a separate alcohol-free line with their own scents. Use 3–6 drops per tank and rinse between scents so each stays true; never substitute raw essential or carrier oils, which clog the 2.4MHz misting plate. Where the Hotel Collection does not contain a note, this guide says so rather than stretching the nearest scent to cover it. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels, composed in India by an ISIPCA Versailles-trained perfumer; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. A note from Sonal

People come to me for the pool-deck memory more often than they come for any single scent, and the conversation always turns on the same misunderstanding. They think they are remembering water. They are remembering tea, stone and cold air. That is not a disappointing answer; it is a much more useful one, because tea, stone and cold air are all reproducible in an Indian flat and sea spray is not.

The White Tea Serenity was composed for exactly that register — serene white tea, cooling aloe, soft cedar, with nothing bright enough to shout and nothing heavy enough to build. It is the scent I would put in a bathroom, a bedroom or a small hotel's treatment corridor, and it does the cool, just-showered part properly. It is not a marine note. There is no aquatic note anywhere in what I make, and I would rather write that twice on the same page than let a photograph of a pool do the implying for me.

Everything is composed and made in India, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. You get a home that smells like somewhere you chose; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.

Frequently asked questions

What fragrance do hotel spas actually use?
Almost always a white tea composition with a cool green note and a soft woody base, rather than a marine accord. It holds consistently across a fourteen-hour day and flatters towels, stone and wet skin. The Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity (white tea, aloe, cedar, ₹299 for 15ml) is SOSA's own interpretation of that register.
Does SOSA have a marine or aquatic hotel-inspired scent?
No. There is no aquatic, marine or ozonic note in any of the seven Hotel Collection scents or anywhere else in the SOSA range. The cooling aloe in the Westin-inspired is the closest the range comes to that just-showered, after-swim quality, and it is not the same thing as a marine note.
Which SOSA scent is closest to a hotel pool deck?
The Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity at ₹299 for 15ml, run at three or four drops on the low setting. Most of the pool-deck impression is stone, humidity and ventilation rather than fragrance, so ventilate the room first and let the scent supply only the cool clean part.
Are SOSA Hotel Collection scents the same as the hotels' own fragrances?
No. They are SOSA's own interpretations of those hotel moods, composed in India by an ISIPCA Versailles-trained perfumer to IFRA standards and phthalate-free. SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand.
How do I get the hotel effect at home rather than just the scent?
Run one scent per zone, on low, for long stretches, and do not change it for months. A Sukoon at ₹1,899 gives 16–18 hours per 500ml fill on low with steady, 2H and 4H timers. Continuity and ventilation account for more of the effect than the bottle does.
