Four attars in two registers is a house point of view, not a discovery kit. Where that is the wrong answer, these guides say so.

Founder Diaries · Attar Gifting
By Sonal Sahani · ISIPCA Versailles 10 min read Updated September 2026
Half the year works and half does not, which is a much narrower problem than it feels like in a shop. The winter bottles are doing their job. What is missing is a specific thing for specific conditions, and buying a set of three is a strange way to fill one seasonal slot - particularly when all three belong to the season that already works.
Quick answers — read this first
Why do rich sweet perfumes feel wrong in hot weather? Heat raises the rate at which materials lift off skin, so a heavy composition reads louder and closer in warm conditions than the same dose does in the cold. It is a question of weight rather than category. Lighter, brighter materials hold their shape better in heat, which is why most people's summer bottles are also their lightest ones.

Which SOSA attar suits warm weather? Adaa, at ₹379 for 3ML - bergamot and green cardamom over jasmine sambac and white musk. It is the only light scent in the attar range. It is not in the three-attar set, which is three rich evening attars, so it is bought on its own.

Would a three-attar set cover different conditions? Not this one. Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani are all rich evening scents built on oudh, sandalwood and rose - they cover the season that is already working, three times over. A set can only cover different conditions if its contents differ in weight, and these do not.
The short answer
Short answer: Warm weather asks for less weight rather than a different category, and the range holds exactly one light bottle - so buy that one, not three winter scents.
The pick: Adaa at ₹379 for 3ML or ₹669 for 6ML - the single lightest thing in the range, and not part of the fixed set.
Honest note: the set is fixed and all three scents sit in one register, so it is depth rather than contrast. Adaa, the one bright scent, is not in it.
The trio, and the alternative - at a glanceThe trio is one register: rose, oud, sandalwood. Three eveningsFixed set ₹1,055 · Ameeri, Nawaab, Mastani · Adaa not includedWant contrast? Three chosen 3ML from ₹1,153 - three boxesAlcohol-free oil · worn at the wrist
SOSA's three-attar set is a fixed pairing of Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani at Rs 1,055 for three 3ML bottles. All three sit in the same register - rose, oud, sandalwood and heavy florals, built for evenings. If what you want is contrast rather than depth, the route is three 3ML singles chosen yourself, from Rs 1,153, which is the only way to include Adaa, the one bright scent in the range. Those arrive as three boxes rather than one gift set.
Straight answer
Can a discovery set cover both winter and warm weather?
A set could in principle. This one covers winter three times.

What the fixed set actually is. Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani at ₹1,055 for three 3ML bottles - Taif rose and sandalwood, white royal oud, night-blooming jasmine over oudh. Rich, resinous evening attars. They are lovely in December and they are three versions of the half of the year that is already sorted.

The reframe that helps. Warm weather is not asking for a different fragrance family. It is asking for less weight. Heat lifts material off skin faster, so a heavy composition projects more in June than the same dose does in January, and what was comforting becomes loud. The fix is a lighter construction, not a swap from sweet to fresh as a matter of principle.

Which makes this a one-bottle purchase. Adaa at ₹379 for 3ML or ₹669 for 6ML. Bergamot and green cardamom over jasmine sambac and white musk. It is the only light thing in the attar range and it is not in the set, so it has to be bought separately - which for this brief is convenient rather than annoying, because the set is the part you do not need.

Also true: dose is a lever. A bottle they love in winter is often wearable in warm weather at a smaller dose. One roll rather than two, on the wrist rather than the neck. That costs nothing and it is worth saying when you hand over the gift.

If one bottle feels thin as a present. SOSA's designer-inspired line does hold lighter registers - an aquatic one, a pear and freesia one, a bergamot and tea one - at ₹599 for 10ML, and it is the only part of the catalogue that spans several fragrance families. Two things to state before you buy: it is an alcohol-based spray rather than an attar oil, worn a different way; and those scents are SOSA's own compositions, made independently and not affiliated with, licensed by or endorsed by any fragrance house. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: warm weather wants less weight rather than a different family, so buy the one light bottle in the range and leave the winter half alone - it already works.
The fixed set is the wrong shape for this. Choose three 3ML singles yourself - any three of the four, ₹1,153 to ₹1,173 - which is the only route that includes Adaa, the one bright scent in the range. It costs about a hundred rupees more than the set, and it arrives as three boxes rather than one.
from ₹1,153

Weather is a weight problem, not a family problem

Three things about the season that is not working, and none of them requires abandoning what they love.

1
Weight, not family
Heat changes how much of a scent arrives, not what it is
Warmth raises the rate at which volatile materials leave the skin. The same dose of the same perfume therefore arrives in larger quantities in June than in January, which is why a composition that feels like a coat in winter feels like a crowd in summer. Nothing about the family is the problem. The weight is. That reframe matters because it stops you buying something they have no interest in on the theory that summer requires citrus.
Tip: Same bottle, different season, different amount arriving. That is the whole mechanism.
2
The honest inventory
One light bottle, and it is not in the set
Of the four attars, three are built on oudh with sandalwood, saffron and rose, and one - Adaa - is bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac and white musk. That is the entire light end of the range. Four scents in two registers is one perfumer's point of view rather than a seasonal wardrobe, and a title asking for several directions for several conditions is asking this range for more than it has.
3
Dose
The free adjustment nobody makes
Before buying anything, there is a lever that costs nothing: apply less. An attar is rolled on rather than sprayed, so the wearer controls the amount precisely - one pass at one wrist instead of two at the neck changes the experience substantially. Plenty of winter bottles become warm-weather bottles at a third of the dose. Worth mentioning when you give this, because it is the sort of thing people only discover by accident.
Tip: Half the dose is the cheapest seasonal adjustment there is.
The SOSA principle
Warm weather is asking for less weight, not a different category.
Which means one light bottle answers the brief, and three rich ones answer the half of the year that was never the problem.

The SOSA attar edit
The warm-weather gap, and how to fill it
Option Who it suits, and what it costs
The one light bottle in the range Adaa, ₹379 at 3ML or ₹669 at 6ML. Bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac, white musk.
A warm option that is not heavy Ameeri, ₹385 at 3ML. Rose and sandalwood - the lightest of the three deep attars, for cooler evenings in a warm month.
Two bottles, two seasons Adaa and Ameeri together, about ₹764 at 3ML. Two boxes rather than one set, because there is no build-your-own option.
The fixed three-attar set ₹1,055, and it is three winter scents. It covers the half of the year that already works, which is the wrong half.

If the split you are really solving is between evening and office rather than between seasons, Sweet at night, restrained by day is the version of this with a different axis. If you want the whole argument for buying into a gourmand wearer's collection from first principles, The gourmand guide is the guide. Adaa is where this one lands.

The SOSA attar edit

Every SOSA attar is alcohol-free oil worn at the wrist, hand-blended in small batches in India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Here is the edit by what you actually know about the person's taste, which is what decides whether a fixed set or three chosen bottles is the right answer.

The SOSA attar edit
Five answers by what you actually know about their taste - from ₹1,055 to ₹1,859
Option Best for What it is, honestly From
The three-attar set, 3ML x 3 They already wear rose, oud or big florals Ameeri, Nawaab, Mastani - one register, three evenings. Fixed: Adaa is not in it ₹1,055
Three chosen 3ML singles You want contrast, not depth Any three of the four, chosen by you. The only route that includes Adaa. Three boxes, not one set ₹1,153
One 12ML of a scent you are sure of You know exactly what they wear A size they finish rather than sample, when guessing is not required ₹1,149
The three-attar set, 6ML x 3 The same three, in a size that lasts Where the trio is right and 3ML would run out too quickly ₹1,859
Solid perfume tin 15g When a roll-on is not right Solid balm in a metal tin - nothing to spill, nothing to leak in a bag ₹500

Four honest notes. The three-attar set is fixed - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, in one size tier at a time. Adaa, the bergamot and cardamom one, is not in it, so if the brighter style is what the person wears, that means buying Adaa separately. All three trio scents sit in the same register - rose, oud, sandalwood and heavy florals - so the set is depth rather than contrast; if contrast is the point, choose three 3ML singles yourself and know that they arrive as three boxes rather than one gift set, because there is no build-your-own set on the store. SOSA's attars are alcohol-free oil worn at the wrist; the designer-inspired line is an alcohol-based spray and a different product entirely, and SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any fragrance house it names. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

A note from Sonal

The hardest fragrance gift is not the one where you know nothing. It is the one where you know just enough. You can name the bottle they have worn for six years. You also know that buying it again is not a gift, it is a refill - and that buying something wildly different is a coin toss with your money on it.

So people reach for a set, and most fragrance sets quietly mislead. They are sold as exploration when they are really one house's single idea, broken into three bottles. I would rather tell you what ours actually is. Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani are three evenings, not three directions. Rose, oud, sandalwood, saffron, night jasmine. If the person you are buying for already lives in that register, the set is genuinely good and the discount is real. If they wear something bright and fresh, it is the wrong set, and no amount of my writing changes that.

The answer in that case is not a different set. It is three bottles you pick yourself - and yes, that costs about a hundred rupees more than the fixed three, and yes, they arrive in three boxes rather than one. I would rather you knew both of those things before you ordered than after. Adaa is the only bright one we make, and it is not in the set. A portion of every order supports girl-child education.

Frequently asked questions

Why do sweet or rich perfumes feel wrong in hot weather?
Because heat increases the rate at which materials lift off skin, so more of the same dose arrives at once. A composition that feels comforting in cold air can feel heavy in warm air without anything about it having changed. It is a question of weight and dose rather than of family.
Which SOSA attar works best in warm weather?
Adaa, ₹379 at 3ML and ₹669 at 6ML. Bergamot and green cardamom over jasmine sambac and white musk, and the only light construction in the attar range. It is not part of the three-attar set, so it is bought on its own.
Would a set of three cover different seasons?
Not the fixed one. Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani are all rich evening attars built on oudh with sandalwood, saffron and rose. For somebody whose winter is already sorted, that is three more winter bottles and no answer to the months that are not working.
Can a winter fragrance be worn in summer at all?
Often, at a smaller dose. An attar is rolled on rather than sprayed, so the amount is entirely under the wearer's control - one pass at the wrist instead of several is a real adjustment and it costs nothing. Worth mentioning when you hand the gift over.
Is there anything at SOSA that spans several fragrance families?
The designer-inspired line does, at ₹599 for 10ML - it includes aquatic, pear and freesia, and bergamot and tea registers alongside the sweeter ones. It is an alcohol-based spray rather than an alcohol-free attar oil, so it is a different product worn differently, and every scent in it is SOSA's own composition.

SOSA does not sort fragrance by the gender of the wearer - every scent is recommended here on what a person has said they like.

SOSA attars, specified: alcohol-free concentrated fragrance oil in a roll-on bottle, applied at the wrist rather than sprayed. Four scents: Adaa (bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac, white musk - the one bright scent in the range), Ameeri (Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh), Mastani (night-blooming jasmine, damask rose, oudh) and Nawaab (white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron). Ameeri, Mastani and Nawaab share oudh, sandalwood and rose materials and sit in one register; Adaa is the outlier.

Prices verified 28 September 2026: 3ML ₹379 (Adaa) / ₹385 (Ameeri) / ₹389 (Mastani) / ₹399 (Nawaab); 6ML ₹669 / ₹679 / ₹685 / ₹699; 12ML ₹1,149 / ₹1,165 / ₹1,179 / ₹1,199.
