How SOSA works
Four attars, three sizes, one fixed set - and an honest account of what each one is for
The trio is fixed
Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani. Adaa is not in it - that one is bought separately.
Alcohol-free by formulation
The attars are alcohol-free oil worn at the wrist. The inspired line is an alcohol-based spray - a different thing, and we say so.
Made in India
Hand-blended in small batches. Cruelty-free and vegan.
Composed by a trained perfumer
Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained, composes the whole range.
A portion funds girl-child education
Part of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
We will tell you not to buy
Four attars in two registers is a house point of view, not a discovery kit. Where that is the wrong answer, these guides say so.

The interesting thing about this problem is that it is not really about your sister. Everybody who buys for her is working from the same clue, reading it the same way, and arriving at the same shelf. The bottles pile up in one family not because she asked for that, but because a dozen well-meaning people independently solved the same puzzle with the same answer. You are not competing with her taste. You are competing with everyone else's reading of it.
Quick answers — read this first
Will a three-attar set give her three different fragrance directions? No, and it is better to know that before ordering. The SOSA set is fixed at Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, and all three are built on oudh, sandalwood and rose. They are three evening scents in one register, so a set would repeat the problem rather than solve it.

What should you buy instead for someone who keeps receiving the same family? Three 3ML singles chosen yourself - any three of the four attars, ₹1,153 to ₹1,173. That is the only route that includes Adaa, the bergamot and green cardamom one, which is the only genuine change of direction in the range.

How many real directions are there in the SOSA attar range? Two. Adaa is bright - bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac, white musk. Ameeri, Mastani and Nawaab are deep - rose, oudh, sandalwood, saffron. Four attars in two registers is one perfumer's point of view, not a map of the fragrance families, and pretending otherwise would be the same overselling that got her eleven similar bottles.
The short answer
Short answer: The instinct is right and the obvious product is wrong - the fixed set is one register three times over, so the honest version is three 3ML singles chosen yourself at ₹1,153 to ₹1,173, which is the only route including Adaa.
The pick: three self-chosen 3ML singles at ₹1,153 to ₹1,173, built around Adaa as the direction nobody else is buying her - three boxes rather than one gift set, and about a hundred rupees more than the fixed set.
Honest note: the set is fixed and all three scents sit in one register, so it is depth rather than contrast. Adaa, the one bright scent, is not in it.
The trio, and the alternative - at a glanceThe trio is one register: rose, oud, sandalwood. Three eveningsFixed set ₹1,055 · Ameeri, Nawaab, Mastani · Adaa not includedWant contrast? Three chosen 3ML from ₹1,153 - three boxesAlcohol-free oil · worn at the wrist
SOSA's three-attar set is a fixed pairing of Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani at Rs 1,055 for three 3ML bottles. All three sit in the same register - rose, oud, sandalwood and heavy florals, built for evenings. If what you want is contrast rather than depth, the route is three 3ML singles chosen yourself, from Rs 1,153, which is the only way to include Adaa, the one bright scent in the range. Those arrive as three boxes rather than one gift set.
Straight answer
Can a set of three give her directions she is not already drowning in?
Only if you pick the three yourself, and I would rather explain why than sell you the tidier object.

What the fixed set is. Ameeri - Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh. Nawaab - white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron. Mastani - night-blooming jasmine, damask rose, oudh. Three evening scents sharing most of their materials. If the family that keeps arriving at her birthday is rose, floral or something rich, that box is a twelfth bottle of the same idea in a nicer wrapper.

What to buy instead. Pick three 3ML singles yourself: any three of the four, ₹1,153 to ₹1,173. Two things to be straight about. It is about a hundred rupees more than the fixed set, never less. And they arrive as three boxes rather than one gift set - there is no build-your-own option on the store and I am not going to imply there is.

Which three. Start with Adaa at ₹379 - bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac and white musk. It is the one bright scent in the range and the only thing here that is genuinely a different direction from a shelf of rich florals. Then Ameeri as the bridge, because rose and sandalwood connect to what she already wears, and Nawaab as the far end if she enjoys oud.

And the honest limit. Even then you are giving her two directions, not three. Four attars in two registers is a house point of view rather than a cross-family discovery kit. If you want three genuinely unrelated families, no attar range this size can supply them, and that is worth knowing before you spend. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: everyone is buying from the same clue, so the job is to be the bottle nobody else thought of - which means moving register, and there are only two.
The fixed set is the wrong shape for this. Choose three 3ML singles yourself - any three of the four, ₹1,153 to ₹1,173 - which is the only route that includes Adaa, the one bright scent in the range. It costs about a hundred rupees more than the set, and it arrives as three boxes rather than one.

Why everybody keeps arriving with the same bottle

Three things explain the pile-up, and only one of them is about perfume.

1
The shared clue
Eleven people, one piece of evidence
She said once that she likes florals, or somebody saw the bottle on her dresser, and from then on every buyer has worked from the same sentence. Each of them believes they are choosing thoughtfully, and each of them lands in the same aisle, because that is what the evidence points at. Nothing is wrong with any individual gift. The problem is the aggregate, and you are the only person in a position to notice it. So choose against the group rather than against her - the scarce thing at her birthday is not another bottle she will like, it is a direction nobody else is covering.
Tip: Do not ask what she likes. Ask what eleven other people have already bought.
2
Direction is countable
Three bottles is not automatically three directions
This is where most sets quietly mislead, mine included if I describe it lazily. Ameeri, Mastani and Nawaab share oudh, sandalwood and rose. Put them side by side and you have three variations on one evening, which is a good thing to own and a poor answer to your question. A direction means a different register - and in the SOSA range there are two, with Adaa alone at the bright end. Any honest version of this gift has Adaa in it, and the fixed set does not include Adaa.
3
How it arrives
Three chosen bottles come in three boxes
Better learned now than on the morning of her birthday. The fixed set ships as a single box. Three singles you choose individually ship as three, because the store has no build-your-own option. If the present has to open as one object - if it is being handed over in front of people, or posted to her - that constraint is real and it may push you towards two bottles with a ribbon rather than three in a stack. The four attars are all 3ML at ₹379 to ₹399, so the arithmetic is easy either way.
Tip: If it must open as one thing, buy fewer bottles and present them properly.
The SOSA principle
The bottles repeat because the reasoning repeats.
Twelve people reading one clue about her taste will reach one shelf. The useful gift is the one that reads the room instead of the clue.

Counting directions rather than bottles

Work out what has already arrived, then pick the register that has not - which in a four-scent range is a short list.

The SOSA attar edit
What to buy when her shelf keeps repeating itself
Option Who it suits, and what it costs
The genuine change of direction Adaa at ₹379 for 3ML or ₹669 for 6ML. Bergamot and green cardamom over jasmine sambac. The only bright scent we make.
You want three bottles Three 3ML singles picked by you, ₹1,153 to ₹1,173. Three boxes rather than one set, and it should include Adaa.
She genuinely wants more of what she has Then the fixed set at ₹1,055 is honest and well priced - but that is a different question from this one.
One bottle, properly chosen Adaa at 12ML, ₹1,149. Better than three bottles she already half-owns in spirit.

If the deeper question is whether a gift should sit close to her taste or step away from it, Match it or extend it works through that properly, and it is the argument underneath this whole block. For the version where the recipient owns several bottles of one scent rather than several scents from one family, Add, don't duplicate is the closer fit. Adaa is where this one lands.

Tell us what they already wear
Send us the bottle they have worn for years, or just how they describe it - bright, heavy, sweet, clean. If the fixed set is the wrong register for that person, we will say so and tell you which three to pick instead.

The SOSA attar edit

Every SOSA attar is alcohol-free oil worn at the wrist, hand-blended in small batches in India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Here is the edit by what you actually know about the person's taste, which is what decides whether a fixed set or three chosen bottles is the right answer.

The SOSA attar edit
Five answers by what you actually know about their taste - from ₹1,055 to ₹1,859
Option Best for What it is, honestly From
The three-attar set, 3ML x 3 They already wear rose, oud or big florals Ameeri, Nawaab, Mastani - one register, three evenings. Fixed: Adaa is not in it ₹1,055
Three chosen 3ML singles You want contrast, not depth Any three of the four, chosen by you. The only route that includes Adaa. Three boxes, not one set ₹1,153
One 12ML of a scent you are sure of You know exactly what they wear A size they finish rather than sample, when guessing is not required ₹1,149
The three-attar set, 6ML x 3 The same three, in a size that lasts Where the trio is right and 3ML would run out too quickly ₹1,859
Solid perfume tin 15g When a roll-on is not right Solid balm in a metal tin - nothing to spill, nothing to leak in a bag ₹500

Four honest notes. The three-attar set is fixed - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, in one size tier at a time. Adaa, the bergamot and cardamom one, is not in it, so if the brighter style is what the person wears, that means buying Adaa separately. All three trio scents sit in the same register - rose, oud, sandalwood and heavy florals - so the set is depth rather than contrast; if contrast is the point, choose three 3ML singles yourself and know that they arrive as three boxes rather than one gift set, because there is no build-your-own set on the store. SOSA's attars are alcohol-free oil worn at the wrist; the designer-inspired line is an alcohol-based spray and a different product entirely, and SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any fragrance house it names. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

A note from Sonal

The hardest fragrance gift is not the one where you know nothing. It is the one where you know just enough. You can name the bottle they have worn for six years. You also know that buying it again is not a gift, it is a refill - and that buying something wildly different is a coin toss with your money on it.

So people reach for a set, and most fragrance sets quietly mislead. They are sold as exploration when they are really one house's single idea, broken into three bottles. I would rather tell you what ours actually is. Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani are three evenings, not three directions. Rose, oud, sandalwood, saffron, night jasmine. If the person you are buying for already lives in that register, the set is genuinely good and the discount is real. If they wear something bright and fresh, it is the wrong set, and no amount of my writing changes that.

The answer in that case is not a different set. It is three bottles you pick yourself - and yes, that costs about a hundred rupees more than the fixed three, and yes, they arrive in three boxes rather than one. I would rather you knew both of those things before you ordered than after. Adaa is the only bright one we make, and it is not in the set. A portion of every order supports girl-child education.

Frequently asked questions

Would a three-attar set break the pattern of the same fragrance family?
Not on its own. The SOSA set is fixed at Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, and all three are rose, oudh and sandalwood scents made for evenings. If the family that keeps arriving is floral or rich, the set continues the pattern rather than interrupting it. Three singles chosen yourself can interrupt it, because that route can include Adaa.
Why is Adaa not in the set?
The set is a fixed pairing of the three evening attars and has always been sold that way - it is a depth set rather than a sampler. Adaa is the bright one, bergamot and green cardamom over jasmine sambac and white musk, and it sits outside that idea. It is ₹379 for 3ML, ₹669 for 6ML and ₹1,149 for 12ML, bought on its own.
Is it cheaper to choose three bottles myself?
No, it is more. Any three of the four 3ML attars come to ₹1,153 to ₹1,173 against ₹1,055 for the fixed set, so choosing your own costs roughly a hundred rupees extra. What you are paying for is the ability to include Adaa, and that is the only reason to do it.
Will three chosen bottles arrive as one gift set?
No. They arrive as three separate boxes. There is no build-your-own option on the store, so if the gift has to open as a single object the fixed set is the only thing that does that - and it is the wrong contents for this particular problem.
How many genuinely different directions does the range actually offer?
Two. Adaa is the bright register and Ameeri, Mastani and Nawaab are the deep one. That is four attars from one perfumer rather than a survey of fragrance families, and if you want three unrelated directions in one gift, no range this size will give you that honestly.

SOSA does not sort fragrance by the gender of the wearer - every scent is recommended here on what a person has said they like.

SOSA attars, specified: alcohol-free concentrated fragrance oil in a roll-on bottle, applied at the wrist rather than sprayed. Four scents: Adaa (bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac, white musk - the one bright scent in the range), Ameeri (Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh), Mastani (night-blooming jasmine, damask rose, oudh) and Nawaab (white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron). Ameeri, Mastani and Nawaab share oudh, sandalwood and rose materials and sit in one register; Adaa is the outlier.
