Your instinct is sound and worth naming precisely. A request is a transaction in the opposite direction. The customer has just paid you, the work is finished, and the last thing that happens is that you put a small job on their list - remember us, mention us, write something. It is not that this is wrong. It is that it is the one part of the close where you are taking rather than giving, and a business uncomfortable with doing it to everybody is usually right to be. The handover is the only other lever in that minute, and unlike the ask, it requires nothing of them.
Something to put in the last thirty seconds that is not a request. SOSA car perfume, 12ml, ₹449 to ₹509 - two variants at the same price: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). No fitment, no demonstration, nothing owed in return. Alcohol-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India.
Quick answers — read this first
What can a detailing studio change at the end of a job instead of asking every customer directly? The object that goes into their hands. SOSA car perfume is ₹449 to ₹509 at 12ml, published in two forms at the same price - Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). It asks nothing of the customer: no fitting, no registration, no follow-up and no favour.
Is there published data on what a handover gift does to the number of people a customer sends you? None at all, from SOSA or from anyone else selling fragrance. No study, no case history and no figure exists, and a page that produced one would be making it up. The honest content here is the mechanism and the arithmetic of what things cost, and this page stops there.
Spray or hanging when the studio has just finished the interior? Usually the spray. They are the same price, so this is never a budget decision. A spray waits until the owner picks it up and leaves nothing visible in the cabin; a hanging bottle starts working immediately and takes the mirror. You have just been paid to leave that interior exactly as the owner wants it.
The short answer
Short answer: Change the object, not the ask. SOSA car perfume is Rs 449 to Rs 509 at 12ml, and the spray and the hanging bottle are the same price, so the choice is control rather than budget. SOSA publishes no data on what any gift does to what a customer does next, and neither does anyone else.
The pick: The spray at ₹449 to ₹509 - handed over without a request attached, which is the entire point of choosing it over an ask.
Why: It needs no fitting, no explanation and no follow-up, it is the same object for every vehicle you work on, and it leaves the customer owing you nothing.
A gift cannot change how somebody's week went, and a page that suggests otherwise is not worth reading. What a small parcel does is tell a person you were thinking about them on a day when nothing made you - which is a real thing to say, and worth saying. Keep it small, because a large one asks somebody already short of energy to produce a reaction, and send the words separately, because the object cannot carry them.
Our detailing studio would like customers to pass our name on without us asking each one directly. Is there anything in the final handover worth changing instead?
There is one thing, and it is worth being exact about what it can and cannot be. The close of a job has three parts. There is the work, which is finished. There is the payment, which is administration. And there is a short window after the card machine and before the customer gets in, which is the only part of the transaction with any slack in it. An ask fills that window by adding something to the customer's list. A handover object fills it by removing the need to add anything. That is the whole difference and it is a real one. Now the honest boundary: SOSA cannot tell you that customers will recommend you, because no data of that kind exists, and a fragrance house is the last place it could come from. What is knowable is what the object is. SOSA car perfume is published at ₹449 for Jasmine, ₹479 for Sandalwood and Lavender, ₹489 for Icy Mint, ₹499 for Lemon, and ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at 12ml, in two variants at the same price - Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). It is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. It needs no model, no fitment and no demonstration, which matters because the window you are filling is about thirty seconds long. No bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break and no lead time is published; quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531, and custom label or logo on product is the one branding option. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The reason asking everybody feels wrong is not that it is rude. It is that it converts the end of a finished job into the start of an unfinished one, and you can feel the customer's list get one item longer.
What goes in the window instead of the ask: the spray, ₹449 to ₹509 - the same price as the hanging bottle, nothing to fit, and no favour attached.
The three parts of a handover, and which one is yours to change
A handover is shorter than people think and it has a fixed shape. Three questions follow from that, and the last one is where honesty costs something.
1
The first question
What is actually happening in the last thirty seconds?
Take the close apart. The work is done and has already been inspected. The payment is administration and nobody remembers administration. What remains is a short gap in which the customer is holding keys, a receipt and possibly a phone, standing next to a vehicle they are about to get into.
Every option in that gap falls into one of two directions. Either something moves from you to them, or something moves from them to you. A request for a name, a review or an introduction is the second kind. It is perfectly reasonable, it is what every business does, and it is also the reason you asked this question: doing it to everybody turns a completed job into an open loop, and it does it at the exact moment the customer thought the job had closed.
An object is the first kind. It closes the loop rather than reopening it. That is not a claim about what the customer will do afterwards - it is a description of what the thirty seconds contain. The practical requirement follows directly: whatever goes in that gap has to survive being handed over without a conversation, because there is no time for one and no natural place to have it.
Tip: The ask adds an item to their list. The handover is the only lever that adds nothing.
2
The second question
What can be handed over in thirty seconds without an explanation?
This rules out more than it sounds like. Anything that needs a model or a size needs somebody to know the vehicle. Anything that plugs in or pairs needs a demonstration. Anything with a code, a card or a registration step needs the customer to do work later, which puts you straight back into the direction you were trying to avoid.
What survives is small, sealed and self-explanatory. A 12ml bottle is the same object for a hatchback and a seven-seater. SOSA car perfume is ₹449 to ₹509 and the store publishes both forms at the same price: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). Price cannot break the tie, so the two real differences do.
Who starts it, and what stays visible. A spray sits in a door pocket until the owner reaches for it. A hanging bottle works from the moment it goes in and occupies the mirror, which is the most looked-at object in the interior. For a studio that has just spent hours on that interior, handing over control rather than taking a decision on the owner's behalf is the consistent move. Anyone presenting the hanging bottle as the upgrade is inventing a gap the price list denies.
3
The third question
What nobody can promise you about any of this
SOSA cannot tell you that customers will refer anyone. There is no published study, no tracked figure and no case history behind any fragrance on this store, and there is none behind any competing one either. If a supplier hands you a number for this, the number is not evidence, it is a sales aid. This page will not carry one.
What is knowable is small and checkable. The object costs what the store says it costs. It is alcohol-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. It goes into the vehicle rather than a pocket, and it is used in a place the owner spends real time. Whether that is worth doing at your volume is a judgement about your own business, made with your own records, and this page has no standing to make it for you.
Two practical blanks while you are deciding. There is no bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break and no lead time published anywhere, so take your monthly volume to WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 rather than looking for a list. And no published life exists for a 12ml bottle in either form, for any scent, with the single exception of Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only, at about 100 sprays in the 10ml (₹549) and about 500 sprays in the 50ml (₹1,499).
Tip: A supplier's retention number is a sales aid, not evidence. Treat it that way.
The two variants, and why the price is not the question
Spray or Hanging - same product, same price, different control
The store publishes both forms of every 12ml scent and names them plainly: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). They cost the same - ₹449 for Jasmine up to ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver. So the decision is about two other things. Who decides when the scent happens: a spray sits in a glovebox until somebody picks it up; a hanging bottle works from the moment it goes in. And what stays visible: the hanging bottle hangs where the owner sees it, the spray does not. When the car belongs to your customer, those two usually settle it. Only Mysore Orange Blossom publishes a life: about 100 sprays at 10ml, about 500 at 50ml. No 12ml bottle publishes one, in either form.
Time your actual handover. It is shorter than you think and has no slack.
Drop anything that needs a size, a demo, a code or a registration step.
Hand over a spray, so the cabin decision stays with the person who owns it.
Keep your own records. No supplier can tell you what any of it did.
The SOSA principle
Asking everybody is not a taste problem, it is a direction problem. The last minute of a finished job is the one minute in the whole relationship where the customer owes you nothing, and an ask is the only thing that can undo that.
Changing what goes into that minute is entirely within your control. What happens afterwards is not, and nobody selling you an object is in a position to describe it.
Which scent, and everything else the range holds
Eight scents, and a studio choosing on somebody else's behalf should narrow harder than a person choosing for themselves. Jasmine at ₹449 is soft and floral and the least likely to be disliked outright. Lemon at ₹499 is bright and clean and reads well in a freshly finished cabin. Sandalwood at ₹479 is the warm middle. Icy Mint at ₹489 is sharp and suits a customer who wants the car to feel just-cleaned. Oud at ₹509 is rich and woody and divides opinion, which makes it a strong choice for a regular and a risk for a stranger. All are alcohol-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. One practical point: it adds a scent to the cabin. It does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify a smell, and it does not clean the air, so it is not a substitute for the interior work you were paid for.
The SOSA gift edit
Four things you could put in the last minute, and where each one breaks
The option
Who it suits, and where it fails
Asking the customer directly · free
Direct, unambiguous and the only option that states what you want. It fails at scale and it fails on consistency: done to every customer it converts the end of a finished job into a small request, and the staff member doing it has to judge each time whether this is the right person to ask.
The spray · ₹449 to ₹509
Handed over in seconds, nothing to fit, nothing to explain and nothing owed in return. It fails if you need the customer to do something specific afterwards, because it asks for nothing at all - that is exactly what it is for and also its limit.
The hanging bottle · the same ₹449 to ₹509
Working from the moment it goes in and visible in the mirror rather than shut in a door pocket. It fails when the owner would not have chosen it, because you are making a lasting decision about an interior you were paid to leave alone.
A branded accessory · your current spend
Carries your name on it, which is the obvious appeal. It fails on address: most accessories leave the vehicle within a day, and anything that needs a fitment, a size or a demonstration cannot be handed over in the window you actually have.
What exists for handing out in quantity, and what does not
Sets, combos, refills - and the four things nobody publishes
For businesses handing something to a lot of customers, this is the honest inventory. The Car Perfume Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Combos pair two scents at ₹899 and ₹949. 15ml refills are ₹399 to ₹449 and they refill the hanging bottle. Now the gaps, because you are planning around them: the trios are fixed and a build-your-own set is not offered; no spray refill is published; no bulk rate, minimum, lead time or per-unit cost is published anywhere; and no cost per spray can honestly be given.Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available - that is the one branding option. Quantities are settled on WhatsApp.
What else exists, and where it fits. The Car Perfume Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999 - the right answer for a large job where a single bottle looks thin, and the trios are fixed rather than chosen. Combos pair two scents at ₹899, with the Oud and Sandalwood combos at ₹949. 15ml refills are ₹399 to ₹449 and they belong to the hanging bottle - there is no spray refill product at all, only a system described as in development. And SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 is a cordless waterless diffuser with three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off, which belongs on a chauffeur or fleet page rather than a per-job handover. The fragrances are made in India. The Safar device is imported, with a country of origin of China.
Published as Spray (Strong scent-throw). Applied when somebody decides to apply it, and nothing stays visible in the cabin afterwards. Eight scents, ₹449 to ₹509 at 12ml.
Published as Hanging (Mild scent-throw), and the same price as the spray. It runs continuously once it is in the car, and it is visible from the driver's seat.
Three travel-size mini sprays in one box, in eight fixed curated trios from ₹699 to ₹899, plus a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. The trios are fixed and a build-your-own set is not offered.
from ₹699
The one published fact that settles most of this decision
Spray and Hanging are the same price. So the choice is never the money.
Every SOSA car scent is sold in two forms and the store names them plainly: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). They cost exactly the same - ₹449 for Jasmine, ₹479 for Sandalwood and Lavender, ₹489 for Icy Mint, ₹499 for Lemon, and ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at 12ml. So the decision is not a budget decision at all. It is two other things. Who decides when the scent happens: a spray waits in a glovebox until somebody picks it up, while a hanging bottle starts working the moment it goes in and keeps working. And what stays visible: a hanging bottle hangs where the owner sees it, and a spray does not. For a business handing something to a customer, those two facts usually decide it on their own, because the car belongs to the customer and not to you. Every one of these is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Only one scent publishes how long it lasts:Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only, about 100 sprays at 10ml for ₹549 and about 500 sprays at 50ml for ₹1,499. No 12ml bottle publishes a life, in either form.
Tell SOSA who it is for, roughly how big the room is, whether their home is already scented and what you want to spend - and you will be told which size and which scent, including the times the honest answer is the 50ml rather than the 130ml.
The last minute of a finished job is the only minute in the whole relationship where the customer owes you nothing. An ask is the one thing that can take that away.
— Sonal Sahani, SOSA
The SOSA gifting range
Two questions settle almost every reed diffuser gift, and the first one is not price. How big is the room it is going into? A 50ml suits a bedroom, a study, a hallway or a first diffuser; a 130ml suits an open-plan living and dining area, and it is genuinely too much for a small closed bedroom. Then: how much do you actually know about their taste? The less you know, the less declarative the scent should be - Morning Freshness is the safest of the five for a home you have never stood in, and Fresh Brew coffee-vanilla is the strongest opinion in the range. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.
The SOSA car range, sorted by who controls when the scent happens
Start from control and visibility, not from the price
Eight scents at ₹449 to ₹509. Applied on demand by whoever is holding it, and it leaves nothing visible in the cabin - which is why it suits a car the giver does not own
₹3,999 - rechargeable, three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off, so a driver controls when it runs. Imported rather than made in India
₹3,999
Spray and Hanging are the same product at the same price. The store publishes them as Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw), and the choice is scent-throw and who controls it, never budget. Every SOSA car fragrance is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Fragrance adds a scent to a cabin; it does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is not a substitute for cleaning a car. No spray refill is published - the 15ml refills are for the hanging bottle. Prices above are published retail prices; bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available, and quantities, rates and anything commercial are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 rather than published here. SOSA is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The honest spec sheet
What the SOSA car pages publish, and what they do not
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
Two forms, one price - Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw) are published as variants of the same 12ml product at the same price: Jasmine ₹449, Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479, Icy Mint ₹489, Lemon ₹499, and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Every one also carries a 50ml spray at ₹1,499.
Composition - alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free, IFRA-compliant, formulated by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles trained, and made in India.
The only published longevity - Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only: about 100 sprays at 10ml (₹549) and about 500 sprays at 50ml (₹1,499), published as about 50 days at two sprays a day and 3 months and above at one. No other scent publishes a spray count or a duration, and no 12ml bottle publishes a life in either form.
Sets and combos - the Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Combos are ₹899 and ₹949. The trios are fixed; a build-your-own set is not offered.
Not published, and therefore never stated here: any bulk rate, minimum quantity, slab, price break, lead time, turnaround or per-unit cost; any trade, partner or dealer programme; any cost per spray; how long a 12ml bottle lasts; and anything at all about what a gift does to customer retention, referrals or repeat business. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
Working out what to hand a customer, and how many? Tell SOSA on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 four things: what your business actually does, roughly how many customers a month you are talking about, whether you want the customer to control the scent or the car to carry it continuously, and what you want to spend per customer. You will get a straight answer rather than a catalogue. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available - that is the one branding option, and there is no custom box, sleeve, insert or printed packaging. What is not on this page, because SOSA does not publish it: any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break, lead time or per-unit cost; any trade, partner or dealer programme; how long a 12ml bottle lasts in either form; any spray count for any scent except Mysore Orange Blossom; and any cost per spray. One thing worth knowing before you plan around it: the 15ml refills are for the hanging bottle, and no spray refill is published, so a spray is a sealed unit rather than a topped-up one. Where SOSA is: an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India, with no shop, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city.

A note from Sonal
The enquiries that come from automotive businesses are refreshingly unsentimental. Nobody writes to me about the magic of a first drive. They write: we hand over ninety cars a month, we currently give a keychain, and we are fairly sure nobody keeps it. That is a good question, and it deserves a better answer than a brochure.
So here is the part I would want you to take away, and it is the only part that is actually a fact. The spray and the hanging bottle are the same product at the same price. Jasmine is ₹449 either way. Oud is ₹509 either way. That surprises people, because they assume one must be the upgrade. Neither is. What you are choosing between is who decides when the scent happens and whether anything stays visible in the cabin - and when the car belongs to your customer rather than to you, those two questions usually answer themselves.
The part I will not pretend about is the part most of these enquiries are really asking. I cannot tell you that a gift brings anybody back. Nobody selling you a gift can, and the ones who say they can are selling you something else. What I can tell you is the mechanism: a small bottle goes into a car, it does not need fitting or explaining, it works the same in a hatchback and in a seven-seater, and if the customer likes it they will use it where they spend an hour a day. What that is worth to your business is your judgement, not mine.
And the honest gaps, because you are planning around them. There is no published bulk rate, no minimum, no lead time and no per-unit cost - not because they are secret but because they are settled properly in a conversation, and a page that invented them would be lying to you. Custom label or logo on product is real, and it is the only branding there is.
Frequently asked questions
Is there any published evidence that a handover gift affects how often a customer is mentioned to somebody else?
No, and this page will not invent any. SOSA publishes no data of that kind and no fragrance supplier holds it. What is knowable is the mechanism: a sealed bottle goes into the vehicle, needs no fitting and gets used in a place the owner spends real time. Whether that is worth doing at your volume is a judgement you make from your own records, not one a supplier can make for you.
What does the studio actually pay for these?
Published retail is Rs 449 for Jasmine, Rs 479 for Sandalwood and Lavender, Rs 489 for Icy Mint, Rs 499 for Lemon, and Rs 509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at 12ml. There is no bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break and no lead time published anywhere. Bulk orders are welcome and quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
Does the hanging bottle cost more than the spray?
No. They are two variants of the same 12ml product at one price, published as Spray for strong scent-throw and Hanging for mild scent-throw. The difference is who decides when the scent starts and whether anything stays visible in the cabin. Anyone describing one as the paid upgrade is describing something the price list does not contain.
Will a car perfume cover up smells left in an older interior?
No. A fragrance adds a scent. It does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is not a substitute for the interior work itself. On a vehicle that needed deep cleaning, the cleaning is what fixes the problem and the fragrance is what goes in afterwards.
Can we put the studio logo on the bottles we hand over?
Custom label or logo on product is available and that is the one branding option. There is no custom box and no printed sleeve. There is no carton, no insert card and no assembled gift box. Anything wrapped around the bottle is yours to arrange. Raise the label with quantities on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
Take the next step
Change what goes into the window, and keep your own records
The spray at ₹449 to ₹509 when the cabin decision should stay with the owner. The hanging bottle at the same price when the scent should be present from the moment they drive away. A combo at ₹899 or a Discovery Set from ₹699 on a job large enough that one bottle looks thin. No rate and no minimum quantity are published, so bring your monthly volume to the conversation instead.
Not sure which one suits the person you are buying for? Send SOSA their age, whether they drive, whether they like their home scented and your budget on WhatsApp, and you will get an honest answer - including when the cheaper product is the better gift.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the buying reasoning applies to any brand.
Specifications verified from the live SOSA product pages, September 2026: every SOSA car fragrance is published in two forms of the same 12ml product - Spray, described on the store as strong scent-throw, and Hanging, described as mild scent-throw - and the two forms are the same price. Those prices are Jasmine ₹449; Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479; Icy Mint ₹489; Lemon ₹499; and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Each of those products also carries a 50ml car perfume spray at ₹1,499. Mysore Orange Blossom is sold as a spray only, at ₹549 for 10ml and ₹1,499 for 50ml, and is the only car scent publishing a spray count: approximately 100 sprays in the 10ml and approximately 500 sprays in the 50ml, stated as about 50 days at two sprays a day and three months and above at one spray a day. Car perfume combos are ₹899 for Jasmine with Lemon and Jasmine with Lavender, and ₹949 for Oud with Lemon and Sandalwood with Oud. The Car Perfume Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in one of eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Car hanging freshener refills are 15ml at ₹399 to ₹449. Every SOSA car fragrance is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, and is made in India. What is not published, and is therefore not stated here: how long a 12ml bottle lasts in either form; any spray count or duration for any scent other than Mysore Orange Blossom; any cost per spray; any bulk rate, minimum quantity, slab, price break, lead time, turnaround or per-unit cost; any trade, partner or dealer programme; and any spray refill, since the 15ml refills are published for the hanging bottle. Limits of this guide: fragrance adds a scent to a cabin. It does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is never a substitute for cleaning a vehicle. No claim is made anywhere on this page about mood, stress, calm, alertness or wellbeing, nor about the safety of any product for children, pregnant passengers, elderly passengers or pets, nor about flammability, nor about how any customer or passenger will feel. No claim is made about business outcomes. Nothing on this page states or implies that a gift increases customer retention, referrals, repeat business, reviews, recall or sales; SOSA publishes no data of that kind and none is invented here. No competitor is named or characterised, and no rating, review count or customer name from any product page is cited. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; that is the only branding option, and quantities are settled on WhatsApp. SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, sending orders across India, with no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
