This is the product page written honestly. The Vaayu is not a lifestyle object and it will not fix a home that needs airing. What it does is solve four very specific failures that stop most homes from ever having a consistent smell, and those four failures are exactly what stand between an ordinary hallway and an arrival people remember. Here is what it does, what it costs to run, and where it should sit.
Quick answers — read this first
How does the SOSA Vaayu create a memorable arrival at home? By solving the four things that break home fragrance. It covers 1000m³, about 2,000-3,000 sq ft, from one point, so the hall and the rooms beyond smell like one home rather than four. It runs on 1h, 4h, 8h and 24h timers, so the scent is settled before the doorbell instead of sprayed after it. It has adjustable intensity with a key-lock, so the level a guest meets in November is the level they met in March. And it is waterless at under 38dB, so it can live in a hall beside a console or art. Rs 11,999, made in India.
Is the SOSA Vaayu suitable for an apartment entrance? Yes. It measures 165 x 80.5 x 215mm and weighs 0.9kg, so it stands on a console or wall mounts above a shoe cabinet, and it runs at under 38dB, which matters in a silent hall. Because it is waterless there is no dampness or residue near a mirror, wood or art. It is still rated to 1000m³, so the entrance unit scents the rest of the floor as well. Rs 11,999.
How much does a SOSA Vaayu cost to run? It draws 5W, which is roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten hour daily schedule, and its 400ml refillable tank lasts up to about 75 days depending on intensity and run hours, so a year of continuous use is around five fills. The machine itself is Rs 11,999. There is no water, no heat and no consumable other than the fragrance oil.
The short answer
Short answer: it fixes the four things that break home fragrance: 1000m³ of coverage from one point, timers so the scent is settled before the door opens, a key-locked intensity so the level never drifts, and waterless, near-silent operation that suits a hall. ₹11,999, made in India.
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) on the entrance air path, low and continuous, with a longer window before guests arrive.
Next step: tell us your floor area, ceiling height and where your door and air-conditioning return sit - ask us what fits your home.
Each of these is answering a specific failure of candles, reeds and sprays: partial coverage, wrong timing, drifting level, damp near furniture and something that has to be remembered.
What does the SOSA Vaayu actually do for the moment a guest walks in?
Four things, each answering a specific failure. One, coverage from a single point. The Vaayu is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described on the product page as about 2,000-3,000 sq ft. That is a whole-home number rather than a room number, which means the hall, the living room and the passage carry the same scent instead of a guest walking through three different ones. Two, timing. Bluetooth app and onboard buttons, with 1h, 4h, 8h and 24h timers and adjustable intensity. Arrival scent has to be settled before the door opens, and the person who answers the door is the person who forgets, so the schedule matters more than the fragrance. Three, a level that does not drift. Adjustable intensity plus a key-lock means the setting an honest visitor helped you choose is the setting that runs a year later, safe from children, staff and your own adapted nose telling you to turn it up. Four, it suits a home physically. Waterless and heatless, so no dampness and no residue near a wooden console, a mirror, books or art - which is the argument against ultrasonic misting devices in a furnished hall. Under 38dB, quieter than most fridges, in a hall that is silent between the bell and hello. 5W, roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten hour daily schedule. A 400ml refillable tank lasting up to 75 days depending on intensity and hours, so a year is about five fills. 165 x 80.5 x 215mm and 0.9kg, freestanding, wall mounted or HVAC mounted, with auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certified. Made in India. What it does not do is equally worth saying: it is not an air purifier, it makes no health claim, and it cannot cover damp, a musty shoe cupboard, cooking or new-furniture off-gassing. Air and clean first, then scent. SOSA's hotel-inspired fragrances are our own original interpretations of a style of scenting, composed in our own studio. SOSA is an independent Indian brand and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel or hotel group. A free home scenting plan will confirm whether one machine covers your layout, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

What the Vaayu does that a candle or a reed cannot
Three comparisons explain why a nebuliser and not something simpler, and each one is about a failure people have already lived through.
1
Against a candle
Two hours a week is not a home scent
A candle is a lovely object and a poor system. It works while it is lit and supervised, which for most households is a couple of hours a week, so the house smells of it on Saturday evening and of nothing on Wednesday morning. Since memory of a smell is built by repetition, that pattern never accumulates into anything. The Vaayu is the opposite proposition: a low level held continuously, on a schedule, with no flame, no supervision and no wax. Keep candles for the table, where they are genuinely better than any machine, and let the air of the house be handled by something that does not need watching.
Tip: keep candles for the table. The air of the house needs a schedule.
The Vaayu runs on 1h, 4h, 8h and 24h timers, so continuity is not something anybody has to remember.
Reeds are strong in the first days, comfortable for a few weeks and noticeably faint by around week six, so what your guests experience depends entirely on when in the cycle they visit. They also cannot be scheduled, cannot be turned down when the room is warm and crowded, and stop working altogether in a hall with poor airflow. A nebuliser holds a set output instead of decaying, which is what makes March and November smell the same. It is a different job, not a better version of the same one.
A 400ml tank in the Vaayu runs up to 75 days at a set intensity rather than fading week by week.
Dampness is the wrong thing to add to a furnished hall
Ultrasonic devices add water to the air, which is a genuine consideration in a hall with a wooden console, a mirror, framed art, books or upholstery nearby, and in humid coastal cities where nobody needs more moisture. The Vaayu is waterless and heatless: it nebulises pure fragrance oil directly, so there is no dampness, no residue on surfaces and no daily emptying and refilling of a water tank. It also means the fragrance is not diluted, which is why one unit can hold a level across 1000m³.
Tip: in a furnished hall, dry beats damp every time.
The Vaayu uses no water and no heat - nothing settles on a console, a mirror or a painting.
Setting it up for arrival specifically takes about ten minutes.

One machine, sized to the air in a home rather than to a room. Waterless, so there is no dampness and nothing settling on wood, art, books or fabric. Quiet enough for a hall, lockable so the level holds, certified CE, RoHS and SGS, and made in India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The SOSA arrival specification
One machine, placed on the air the guest walks into
What it is not: the Vaayu is not an air purifier and makes no health claim, and it cannot cover damp, a musty shoe cupboard, pet odour, cooking or new-furniture off-gassing. Fragrance works alongside ventilation and cleaning, never instead of them. SOSA's hotel-inspired fragrances are our own original interpretations of a style of scenting, composed in our own studio. If you want an honest answer on whether one machine covers your home before you spend anything, ask us what fits your home.

A note from Sonal
I did not design the Vaayu to be admired. I designed it around the reasons home fragrance fails: it covers one room, it runs at the wrong time, the level drifts, and somebody has to remember it. Solve those four and an ordinary fragrance becomes the smell of your home.
In a house, the specification that matters most is the boring part. Waterless, because halls are full of wood, mirrors and art. Under 38dB, because an entrance is silent. 5W, because it has to be able to stay on. And 1000m³ of coverage - about 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft - because a home should smell like one place, not four.
And the honest part. The Vaayu is not an air purifier and makes no health claim. It will not fix damp, a shoe cupboard, cooking or fresh paint, and a home has to be aired and clean first, then scented. SOSA's hotel-inspired fragrances are our own original interpretations of a style of scenting, composed in our own studio. SOSA is an independent Indian brand and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel or hotel group. Everything is made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
What does the SOSA Vaayu do?
It is a waterless cold-air nebuliser that holds a set level of fragrance across up to 1000 cubic metres, described on the product page as about 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft. It has a 400ml refillable tank lasting up to about 75 days depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1, 4, 8 and 24 hour timers with adjustable intensity, runs under 38dB at 5W, and has auto-stop and a key-lock. It costs Rs 11,999 and is made in India.
Is one Vaayu enough for a whole apartment?
In most cases, yes. A 1,200 sq ft flat at a ten foot ceiling holds roughly 340 cubic metres of air, comfortably inside the 1000 cubic metres one machine is rated for. Place it where air moves between the entrance and the living room rather than in a bedroom. For a very large villa or a multi-floor home, send us the layout and we will tell you honestly what is needed.
Does the Vaayu use water, and will it damage furniture?
It uses no water and no heat. It nebulises pure fragrance oil directly, so there is no dampness, no residue on surfaces and no water tank to empty, which is why it suits a hall with a wooden console, a mirror, books or art nearby. It is CE, RoHS and SGS certified.
How noisy is it, and what does it cost to run?
Under 38dB, which is quieter than most refrigerators and inaudible under conversation. It draws 5W, roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten hour daily schedule, and a 400ml fill lasts up to about 75 days, so a year of continuous running is around five fills.
Will it remove smells from my house?
No. It is not an air purifier and makes no health claim. It adds fragrance and cannot cover damp, a musty shoe cupboard, pet odour, cooking or new-furniture off-gassing. Deal with those at source through cleaning, ventilation or time, and then let the fragrance run underneath a clean house.
