Sticker price tells you almost nothing about what a fragrance really costs. What matters is cost-per-wear - and a concentrated roll-on is quietly one of the cheapest ways to smell good every day. Here is the maths, done simply.
Quick answers — read this first
What does a roll-on attar cost per wear? Roughly a few rupees. A 3ML at ₹379-399 gives about 60-100 dabs, so most people land between ₹4 and ₹7 a wear - and less again at the 12ML size.
How do you calculate cost-per-wear? Divide the bottle price by the number of wears it gives. A dab of oil is tiny, so a small bottle stretches surprisingly far.
Is a roll-on cheaper per wear than a spray? Usually, yes. A spray puffs out far more liquid each time, so a 100ML bottle empties faster than a 3ML roll-on lasts - the per-wear cost climbs with it.
The short answer
Short answer: A good roll-on attar costs roughly ₹4-7 per wear at the 3ML size (₹379-399 for about 60-100 dabs), and even less at 6ML or 12ML. That is far below a designer spray, because a dab of concentrated oil uses a fraction of the product a spray pumps out. The exact figure depends on how much you apply - but the shape of the answer barely moves.

Adaa (from ₹379). Every attar is a 3/6/12ML roll-on.

Straight answer
How much does a roll-on perfume cost per wear?
Start with the wears, not the price. A 3ML roll-on gives roughly 60-100 dabs across pulse points. Even at the low end, that is a lot of days from one small bottle.
Divide. ₹399 over ~80 wears is about ₹5 a wear. Step up to 12ML (₹1,199) and the same maths falls closer to ₹3-4, because bigger sizes cost less per millilitre.
Compare like-for-like. Do the same sum on a spray you own. A 50ML EDP emptied in three months often costs several times more per wear than the roll-on you thought was the cheap option.
Made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
A 3ML roll-on works out to roughly ₹4-7 a wear, and less at larger sizes. Concentrated oil goes a long way, so the small bottle is the low cost-per-wear choice.
Why a small roll-on stretches so far
1
A dab is tiny
You use a fraction of what a spray puffs out
SOSA Adaa · Bergamot & JasmineFrom ₹379 A roll-on lays down a thin film of concentrated oil on pulse points - millilitres last for weeks. A spray atomises far more liquid per use, and a lot of it lands on air and clothes. That is why a 3ML roll-on outlasts the per-wear cost of a much bigger spray bottle.
Tip: Two or three pulse points is plenty. Over-applying an oil wastes product and does not make it last meaningfully longer.
2
Size scales down the cost
12ML is the cheapest per wear
SOSA Attar Trio · pack of 3₹1,055 The 3ML (₹379-399) is the low-commitment way to try a scent; the 12ML (₹1,149-1,199) is the value size for a fragrance you already love, because you pay less per millilitre and therefore less per wear. If a scent has become your signature, size up.
Tip: Find your favourite in a 3ML, then commit to the 12ML - it is the lowest cost-per-wear in the range.
Maximum longevity & projection SOSA Nawaab From ₹399 Nawaab (White Oud & Saffron) is the powerhouse of the range - a deep, resinous oud-saffron base that holds on skin for hours and projects for the first stretch of an evening. If longevity and presence are your priority, start here. Sizes 3ML (₹399), 6ML (₹699), 12ML (₹1,199). See Nawaab →
Cost-per-wear, size by size
Wear counts are estimates - a lighter dab stretches further, a heavy hand less - but larger sizes always land lower per wear.

The SOSA principle
The most expensive perfume is the one that sprays four puffs and vanishes by lunch. The cheapest is a dab of oil you barely notice using.
Cost-per-wear rewards concentration and restraint - exactly what a roll-on is built for.
Fresh, subtle & office-friendly SOSA Adaa From ₹379 Adaa (Bergamot + Cardamom + Jasmine Sambac) is the daytime-grace choice - clean, fresh, and sitting close to the skin, so it lasts without filling a shared room. People think small means expensive. With concentrated oil it is the opposite - a 3ML is one of the cheapest ways to wear a real fragrance every day.

Which attar to pick
The whole decision fits in one box: match the attar to the performance you actually want - longevity and projection, warm richness, a quiet floral, or hot-weather freshness - and remember an oil rewards you most on well-moisturised pulse points. How to read this box: attars are concentrated perfume oils, so as a family they wear
longer and closer to the skin than alcohol sprays - you trade some room-filling projection for longevity and a refined, intimate trail. For the most presence,
Nawaab (oud & saffron) projects hardest and lasts longest; for a clean daytime signature that won't overwhelm a shared cabin,
Adaa is the pick. Every attar comes as a 3ML pocket roll-on (from ₹379) that's effortless to reapply, plus 6ML and 12ML. Scent behaves differently on every person and in every climate, so give it ten minutes on your skin before you judge it, and layer on pulse points for more strength. Everything is made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Why a roll-on oil Long wear, easy reapply From ₹379 An attar is concentrated perfume oil: it wears longer and closer to the skin than an alcohol spray, and the roll-on format is spill-proof and pocketable - the 3ML slips into a bag for touch-ups. Oils lean toward longevity and intimacy over big room-filling projection; for maximum projection, layer or choose the deeper Nawaab. Shop the range →

Frequently asked questions
What is a realistic cost-per-wear for an attar?
For a 3ML at ₹379-399, plan on roughly ₹4-7 a wear; at 12ML it drops toward ₹3-4. Your own figure depends on how much you dab, but concentrated oil keeps it low either way.
Does a roll-on really beat a spray on cost-per-wear?
Usually. A spray releases much more product per use and drifts onto clothes and air, so the bottle empties faster. A roll-on lays down a thin, efficient film - fewer millilitres per wear, lower cost.
Which size is best value?
The 12ML has the lowest cost-per-wear, so it is the value pick for a scent you wear often. Use the 3ML to find the one worth sizing up to.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Fragrance performance - longevity, projection and sillage - depends on the perfume, but also on your skin type, body chemistry, the weather and how much you apply, so descriptions here are honest guidance, not guarantees. Attars are concentrated perfume oils: they generally wear longer and closer to the skin than alcohol-based EDPs, trading some projection for longevity and intimacy. Always test on skin and give a fragrance ten minutes to settle before judging it; patch-test if you have sensitive skin, and keep oils away from the eyes.
