Up to now this ladder has been a straight line: measure the room, read the rating, buy the machine. Three thousand square feet is where the line forks, and the honest thing to say is that I cannot answer it from the floor area alone. I need to know your ceiling and your doors.
Quick answers — read this first
How do I fragrance a 3,000 sq ft modular kitchen experience centre? It depends on the building rather than the number, and there are three honest answers. One connected volume at a standard ceiling is about 849 cubic metres, so one SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999. A genuinely divided building - two floors, or a wing behind doors - takes one machine per volume, ₹23,998. A double-height unit with central air handling is roughly 1,700m³ and becomes an Aangan conversation at ₹25,999.
How do I know which of the three I am? Two measurements and one walk. Measure the ceiling height and multiply it out, because a double-height centre holds twice the air its floor area suggests. Then walk from the front door to the furthest point and count the real boundaries you cross - a wall to the ceiling, a door that closes, a change of air-conditioning zone. Zones drawn on a plan do not count. Finally, ask whether the building has a central air handler you could specify into, because that is what makes the third answer available at all.
Why is 849m³ described as tight when the rating is 1000m³? Because a rating is a ceiling rather than a comfortable operating point, and because 849 assumes a flat ten-foot slab across the whole centre, which few experience centres actually have. A mezzanine void, a double-height entrance or a raised display platform quietly adds cubic metres that the floor plan never shows. At 85 per cent of rating I would want the machine mounted on the air path rather than parked in a corner, and I would remeasure before I committed to one unit.
The short answer
Short answer: in one of three ways, decided by the building rather than the floor area. One connected volume at a ten-foot ceiling is about 849 cubic metres and takes one SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999. A genuinely divided building takes one machine per volume at ₹23,998. A double-height centre is roughly 1,700 cubic metres and, with central air handling, becomes an Aangan at ₹25,999.
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) mounted on the air path if the centre is one volume at a standard ceiling, and one SOSA Aangan (₹25,999) specified into the air handling if the unit is double height and centrally conditioned.
Next step: send the floor plan with the ceiling height written on it, every door that closes marked, and a note of whether the building has a central air handler, and we will tell you which of the three answers you are - Ask for a retail scenting plan.
This is the rung where I stop being able to answer from a square footage. Two identical 3,000 sq ft centres, one with a flat ten-foot ceiling and one built double height around an atrium, need genuinely different specifications.
The machines at 3,000 sq ft - tap for specifications
How should a 3,000 sq ft modular kitchen experience centre actually be fragranced?
There are three honest answers and the building picks, not the number. Do the sum first. Three thousand square feet is about 279 square metres, and at a standard ten-foot ceiling that is roughly 849 cubic metres of air against a SOSA Vaayu rated to 1000m³. So branch one: if your centre is one connected volume with an ordinary ceiling, it is one Vaayu at ₹11,999, mounted on the air path rather than parked in a corner - because at 85 per cent of rating you want the building's own air movement helping rather than the machine working alone. Branch two: if the centre is genuinely divided - an upper floor, a wing behind doors that close, a section on its own air-conditioning circuit - then each volume takes its own source, and two Vaayus is ₹23,998. Note the discipline in that sentence: a second machine belongs to a second volume of air, never to a second corner of the same open floor, where it would simply overlap the first. Branch three: if the unit is double height, and kitchen experience centres are built that way constantly, the same 3,000 sq ft holds roughly 1,700 cubic metres - comfortably past what one machine is rated for. If there is a central air handler in that building, this is the point where the honest recommendation becomes one SOSA Aangan at ₹25,999, specified into the air handling so the distribution is the building's job rather than a machine's. And notice what that costs against branch two: ₹25,999 versus ₹23,998 is a difference of ₹2,001, which is small enough that the decision should be made on how the building moves air rather than on price. What I cannot do from here is specify it for you: installation and HVAC specification support are not published, so confirm the scope with SOSA, and ductwork and filtration are your air-conditioning engineer's call. Two standing conditions before any of the three. If the centre still smells of laminate, adhesive or new joinery, buy nothing at all yet - off-gassing is a curing problem answered by ventilation and time, and fragrance is never used to mask another smell and is never a substitute for ventilation, extraction or cleaning. And if you run live cooking, whatever you install comes off before the demonstration and stays off until the extraction has cleared the room. Register: dry, material-led, nothing edible, at the lowest level your designers still notice at the end of a working day. And plainly: no one can promise that ambient scent moves footfall, enquiries or order value, and a supplier quoting you a figure is not measuring, they are selling.Ask for a retail scenting plan and send the plan with the ceiling height on it.
Three answers. One volume at ten feet is about 849m³: one Vaayu, ₹11,999. Genuinely divided: two, ₹23,998. Double height at about 1,700m³ with central air handling: Aangan, ₹25,999.
For a 3,000 sq ft centre that is one standard-height volume, the machine is one SOSA Vaayu - rated to 1000m³ against about 849m³ of air, waterless, under 38dB, with app timers and a key-lock. ₹11,999. If the unit is double height, that sum doubles and the Aangan at ₹25,999 becomes the honest answer instead.
Two machines cover the three branches between them, and the difference in price is smaller than most people expect. The images link to the product pages so you can read both specifications properly.
Waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, about 2,000-3,000 sq ft. 400ml tank running 90+ days a fill, Bluetooth app with 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, under 38dB, 5W, auto-stop and key-lock. At about 849m³ this is inside the rating, so mount it on the air path rather than leaving it in a corner.
HVAC nebuliser rated to roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, specified into the building's air handling rather than placed in a room, so the distribution becomes the building's job. ₹25,999 - about ₹2,000 more than two Vaayus, which is why this decision is made on air movement rather than on price.
1000m³ coverage (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft), 400ml tank running 90+ days a fill, Bluetooth app and 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, under 38dB, 5W, freestanding or wall and HVAC mount, auto-stop and key-lock. CE, RoHS and SGS certified. Made in India. Cold-air refill oil is not currently sold separately - the machine ships with 400ml and continuity of supply should be confirmed with SOSA before a multi-machine plan.
Work through these in order. The first one is done with a tape measure, the second on foot, and the third by asking whoever maintains your air-conditioning.

Measure the height before anything else
The same 3,000 sq ft is either 849m³ or about 1,700m³
Kitchen experience centres are built in tall shells more often than any other retail category I write for, and the floor plan never shows it. A flat ten-foot ceiling across 279 square metres gives roughly 849 cubic metres, which sits inside one machine's rating. A twenty-foot shell gives roughly 1,700, which does not, and no amount of turning a single unit up will change that. Watch for the partial cases too: a double-height entrance, an atrium over the central display, or a mezzanine void all add cubic metres that a square-foot answer silently ignores. Measure the tallest part and the ordinary part separately and add them, rather than averaging by eye.
Tip: In a tall shell, mount low. Warm air rises and carries the fragrance up away from the people.
One Vaayu ₹11,999, set once and left alone, is the whole hardware side of this.
A second machine belongs to a second volume, not a second corner
Start at the front door and walk to the furthest point a customer reaches, counting only boundaries that actually stop air: a wall to the ceiling, a door that closes, a change of air-conditioning zone. Display zones, aisles and merchandising areas do not count, however clearly they are drawn. If the count is one, one source does the centre and a second unit would only overlap it, producing a handover somewhere in the middle. If the count is two - an upper floor, a wing behind doors, a closed consultation suite - then each volume gets its own machine and the total is ₹23,998, which is a specification rather than a duplication.
Tip: If a boundary is open at the top, it is not a boundary. Air goes over walls that stop short.
One Vaayu ₹11,999, set once and left alone, is the whole hardware side of this.
Central air handling is the distribution system you already own
This is the question that makes the third branch available, and most owners have never been asked it. If the centre is served by central air handling rather than by split units, then the building already moves conditioned air everywhere a customer goes, and an Aangan at ₹25,999 specified into that supply uses it instead of fighting it. At 3,000 sq ft this is worth considering mainly when the shell is tall or the layout is awkward. Two honest limits: installation and HVAC specification support are not published, so confirm what SOSA can do before planning around it, and ductwork and filtration are your engineer's decision, not a fragrance supplier's.
One Aangan ₹25,999, set once and left alone, is the whole hardware side of this.
Three thousand square feet is the first number on this ladder that does not have an answer. The same floor area produces three different correct specifications, and what chooses between them is the ceiling height, the doors that close and whether the building has an air handler to specify into.
Which is why a supplier who can price your centre from the square footage alone has not asked you enough questions.
Branch one, one volume: SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999, mounted on the air path, timers on trading hours, key-lock on. Total hardware spend: ₹11,999.
Two experience centres with identical floor areas can need completely different specifications, and the difference is usually something nobody wrote on the drawing: how tall the shell is, and how many doors actually close.
Two machines cover the three branches, and which one you need depends on how your building moves air rather than on how much floor it has. Cold-air refill oil is not currently sold separately, so the 400ml supplied runs 90+ days a fill and continuity of supply should be confirmed with SOSA before you commit to more than one machine. Installation support, warranty and bulk terms are not published either. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The SOSA kitchen-showroom specification
3,000 sq ft: the same floor area, three specifications
Measure the height before you count the square feet, count volumes of air rather than display zones, and buy nothing while the centre still smells of its own fit-out. Ambient scent here is a presentation decision like lighting or display styling; it is never used to mask another smell - not laminate, not adhesive, not cooking - and it is never a substitute for ventilation, extraction or cleaning. Installation and HVAC specification support are not published and should be confirmed with SOSA, and ductwork and filtration remain your engineer's call. Ask for a retail scenting plan before you spend anything.

A note from Sonal
Three thousand square feet is the size where my replies get longer and less satisfying, because it is the first one where I genuinely cannot answer the question as asked. Somebody sends me a floor area and expects a machine back, and what I send back is two questions: how tall is it, and how many doors actually close. Nobody enjoys that, but the alternative is guessing, and a guess at this size is either a wasted ₹11,999 or a centre that smells of nothing past the second display.
The height question is the one that catches people, and it catches them in this category more than any other. Kitchen experience centres get built in tall shells because tall shells photograph well and hold a double-height entrance and let you stack an island display under a void. Every one of those decisions doubles the air in the building without changing a single number on the lease. Two identical 3,000 sq ft centres, one flat and one tall, are 849 cubic metres and 1,700 cubic metres, and they are simply not the same problem.
So: one Vaayu at ₹11,999 if you are one ordinary volume, two at ₹23,998 if the building is genuinely divided, and an Aangan at ₹25,999 if the shell is tall and there is an air handler to work with - with installation scope confirmed with us first, and the ductwork left to your engineer. Dry register, nothing edible, so our own Fresh Brew at ₹849 stays out of a kitchen centre. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
How do I fragrance a 3,000 sq ft modular kitchen experience centre?
In one of three ways, decided by the building. One connected volume at a ten-foot ceiling holds about 849 cubic metres and takes one SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999. A genuinely divided building takes one machine per volume, so two Vaayus at Rs 23,998. A double-height shell holds roughly 1,700 cubic metres, and where there is central air handling that becomes one SOSA Aangan at Rs 25,999 specified into the supply side.
Is 3,000 sq ft too much for one Vaayu?
Not at a standard ceiling. About 849 cubic metres against a rating of 1000 is inside the machine, though closer to its limit than any rung below, so placement stops being optional - mount it on the air path rather than parking it in a corner. At double height the same floor holds roughly 1,700 cubic metres, which is past one machine, and turning a single unit up will not change that.
Should I buy two Vaayus for a 3,000 sq ft centre?
Only if you have two genuinely separate volumes of air: an upper floor, a wing behind doors that close, or a section on its own air-conditioning circuit. Two machines in one open room do not add their coverage together, they overlap, and the handover between them reads as a change in the middle of the floor. Two volumes with one machine each is Rs 23,998 and is a specification rather than a duplication.
Two Vaayus or one Aangan at this size?
They are about Rs 2,000 apart, at Rs 23,998 against Rs 25,999, so price should not decide it. Two separate volumes of air argue for two Vaayus. One large or tall volume served by central air handling argues for the Aangan, because the building already distributes conditioned air everywhere a customer goes. Installation and HVAC specification support are not published, and ductwork and filtration are your engineer's call.
Will scenting a 3,000 sq ft centre make customers buy more?
No one can promise that and I will not. SOSA has run no research that would support a figure, and there is no honest way to separate ambient scent from the twenty other things a customer experiences across a ninety-minute visit. A supplier who offers you a number for footfall, enquiries or order value is not measuring anything, they are selling. What you can judge is whether the air agrees with the displays, the lighting and the price of the kitchens.
Branch three, tall and centrally conditioned: SOSA Aangan at ₹25,999 into the air handling, with the ductwork and filtration left to your engineer.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the planning advice applies to any brand.
Facts verified 5 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with adjustable intensity, a 400ml refillable tank lasting 90+ days a fill depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, operation under 38dB at 5W, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification, which are electrical and compliance marks and not medical approvals. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment. The SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) is an ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser covering roughly 270-320 sq ft and is supplied with three 15ml fragrances; the water-based Hotel Collection (₹299 / ₹999 / ₹1,799) is an ultrasonic fragrance and is not a refill for a waterless cold-air machine. SOSA reed diffusers are alcohol-free and phthalate-free, with 50ml lasting about 6-8 weeks and 130ml about 14-18 weeks. Cold-air refill oil for the Vaayu is not currently sold separately - the machine ships with 400ml included and further refills should be confirmed with SOSA. Warranty, annual maintenance, installation and bulk terms are not published and should be confirmed before ordering. Ambient scent is an interior and hospitality decision: it makes no clinical, therapeutic or wellbeing claim, it works alongside proper ventilation, cleaning and infection control and is never a substitute for any of them, it is never used to mask another smell, and no claim is made that fragrance influences a patient's decision or any commercial outcome. Clinical areas including procedure, post-procedure and photography rooms are left unscented, and the treating clinician's judgement overrides any scenting plan in their own room. The hotel-inspired scents are SOSA's own original interpretations; SOSA is an independent brand and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel named for reference. Coverage, fragrance usage and running cost depend on the space, settings and hours of use, and are confirmed on a consultation.
