The instinct behind the question is sound, but the arithmetic inside it is not. A thank-you does not become proportionate by getting closer to the invoice - if it did, the only honest answer to a large bill would be a large gift, and every studio would be losing money to prove a point. What makes a small object read as proportionate is whether it belongs to the thing that was bought. A keychain does not. It could have come from a bank, a phone shop or a conference lanyard, and that is the whole of what is wrong with it.
A thank-you that belongs to the car rather than to a pocket. SOSA car perfume, 12ml, ₹449 to ₹509, and Discovery Sets of three mini sprays at ₹699 to ₹899 when one bottle looks thin. Every 12ml scent is published in two variants at the same price: Spray for strong scent-throw, Hanging for mild. Alcohol-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India.
Quick answers — read this first
What is a relevant thank-you gift after a large detailing job? Something that belongs to the car rather than to a pocket. SOSA car perfume is ₹449 to ₹509 at 12ml, and a Discovery Set of three travel-size mini sprays is ₹699 to ₹899 in eight fixed trios, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Relevance to the work is what a small object can carry; matching the invoice is not.
Should the gift scale with the size of the bill? It can, and SOSA's range does give you three honest steps - a single 12ml bottle from ₹449, a combo of two at ₹899 or ₹949, and a Discovery Set from ₹699 to ₹899. What it cannot do is buy you an outcome. SOSA publishes no data on what any gift changes about what a customer does next, and no honest page will tell you otherwise.
Is there a rate for a detailing studio buying these regularly? Not a published one. SOSA publishes no bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break and no lead time, and there is no trade programme or corporate rate card behind the scenes either. Bulk orders are welcome, custom label or logo on product is available, and quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
The short answer
Short answer: Yes, because relevance is what a small object can carry and a keychain carries none. SOSA car perfume is Rs 449 to Rs 509 at 12ml, and a Discovery Set of three mini sprays is Rs 699 to Rs 899 if one bottle looks thin against the bill. No bulk rate is published; ask on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
The pick: A 12ml spray at ₹449 to ₹509 as the standard thank-you, stepping up to a Discovery Set at ₹699 to ₹899 on the larger jobs.
Why: A car fragrance belongs to the thing that was paid for. It goes into the vehicle, it needs no fitment, and it does not look like something handed out at a counter anywhere else.
A gift cannot change how somebody's week went, and a page that suggests otherwise is not worth reading. What a small parcel does is tell a person you were thinking about them on a day when nothing made you - which is a real thing to say, and worth saying. Keep it small, because a large one asks somebody already short of energy to produce a reaction, and send the words separately, because the object cannot carry them.
Our customers spend Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh on their cars, so a generic keychain feels disproportionate as a thank-you. Is premium automotive fragrance more relevant?
Yes, and the reason is relevance rather than value. A keychain is generic in the literal sense - it is the same object a bank, a showroom or a conference hands out, so it says nothing about what was bought. A car fragrance is specific to the vehicle that was just worked on, which is what lets a small object sit comfortably beside a large invoice. SOSA car perfume is published at ₹449 for Jasmine, ₹479 for Sandalwood and Lavender, ₹489 for Icy Mint, ₹499 for Lemon, and ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at 12ml, each sold as Spray (Strong scent-throw) or Hanging (Mild scent-throw) - two variants of one product at the same price, so the form is a question of control rather than of budget. If a single bottle looks thin next to the figures you quoted, the honest step up is the Discovery Set at ₹699 to ₹899, three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed trios, or the Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Say the plain thing about fragrance while you hand it over: it adds a scent, and it does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is not a stand-in for the detailing itself. Everything is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. And the commercial part: no bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break and no lead time is published, so take your volumes to WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 - custom label or logo on product is the one branding option offered. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The keychain is not disproportionate because it is inexpensive. It is disproportionate because it has nothing to do with the car, and that is a problem a bigger keychain does not solve.
The two honest steps: a 12ml spray at ₹449 to ₹509 as the standard thank-you, and a Discovery Set at ₹699 to ₹899 on the jobs where one bottle looks thin.
What proportionate actually means, once you stop reading it as rupees
Three things settle this, and the first one is the assumption hiding inside the word proportionate.
1
The assumption
Proportionate to the invoice, or proportionate to what was bought?
Read the instinct carefully and there are two different ideas inside it. One says the gift should scale with the money. The other says the gift should relate to the work. They are not the same idea, and only the second one is achievable.
If a thank-you had to scale with the bill, a job at the top of the range you described would demand a gift no studio would sensibly give, and you would be back where you started. Nobody actually expects that. What people notice instead is whether the object has anything to do with what they just paid for. A keychain fails that test in a single glance, because it is the same object handed out by a bank, a phone shop and a conference desk.
A car fragrance passes it for one dull structural reason: it can only be used in a car. It goes into the vehicle that was worked on, it is handled by the person who paid, and it requires no explanation of why you chose it. That is what lets a small object sit beside a large number without looking like an apology.
Tip: Relevance is what a small object can carry. Matching the invoice is not.
2
The range
Three steps that exist, and what each one honestly buys
There is a real ladder here, and it is worth knowing where each rung sits. A single 12ml bottle is ₹449 to ₹509 - Jasmine at ₹449 through to Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at ₹509. A combo pairs two scents at ₹899 or ₹949.A Discovery Set is ₹699 to ₹899 for three travel-size mini sprays, and the Pack of 9 is ₹2,999.
What each step buys is straightforward: more of the range, and a box that has more in it. What it does not buy is a different mechanism. The Discovery Set earns its place for a specific reason rather than a sentimental one - it hands the choosing back. Three scents means the customer finds the one they actually like instead of living with the one you guessed. On a job at the upper end of what you described, that is a more defensible step up than simply buying a larger single bottle.
Two limits to know now rather than later. The eight trios are fixed - a chosen-to-order three is not offered, and SOSA describes a build-your-own set as something it is still exploring. And the spray and the hanging form are the same price at every one of those steps, so stepping up never means moving between forms.
3
The honest part
What no supplier can tell you about a thank-you, including this one
There is a version of this conversation where somebody tells you what a well-chosen gift is worth to a detailing business. Treat that as a sales claim, because that is what it is. SOSA publishes no data on referrals, repeat work or anything else a gift is supposed to produce, and a page that quoted a figure would be making it up on the spot.
What is knowable stops at the mechanism. An object goes into the customer's car. If they like the scent, they use it in a place they spend real time. Whether that changes anything about what they do next is not something SOSA can tell you, and nobody selling you a gift can either. That is the whole of the honest claim, and it is enough to make a judgement on.
The same applies to the commercial side. There is no bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break, no lead time and no per-unit figure published, and no trade programme, corporate rate or account structure sitting behind them. Bulk orders are welcome and quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. Branding is one thing only: custom label or logo on product. No printed carton, no sleeve, no insert and no assembled gift box.
And SOSA does not publish how long a 12ml bottle lasts, in either form, for any scent. Only Mysore Orange Blossom publishes a life, spray only, at about 100 sprays at 10ml (₹549) and about 500 sprays at 50ml (₹1,499).
Tip: Ask for quantities on WhatsApp, and ignore anybody quoting you a return on a gift.
The two variants, and why the price is not the question
Spray or Hanging - same product, same price, different control
The store publishes both forms of every 12ml scent and names them plainly: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). They cost the same - ₹449 for Jasmine up to ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver. So the decision is about two other things. Who decides when the scent happens: a spray sits in a glovebox until somebody picks it up; a hanging bottle works from the moment it goes in. And what stays visible: the hanging bottle hangs where the owner sees it, the spray does not. When the car belongs to your customer, those two usually settle it. Only Mysore Orange Blossom publishes a life: about 100 sprays at 10ml, about 500 at 50ml. No 12ml bottle publishes one, in either form.
How to size the thank-you without guessing at a number
Match the gift to what they bought, not to the figure on the invoice.
A car-specific object reads as relevant even when it is small in rupees.
Step up to a Discovery Set from Rs 699 when one bottle looks thin.
Ask on WhatsApp about label and quantities. No rate card exists to send you.
The SOSA principle
A gift beside a large invoice is not being measured against the invoice. It is being read for whether the business that sent it understood what was bought. That is a question about relevance, and relevance is the one thing a small object can carry in full.
It also explains why the fix is a different category rather than a more expensive version of the same category.
Where the range steps up, and what each step honestly buys
Eight scents, and the useful way to narrow them is by how much of an opinion they express. Oud at ₹509 is rich and woody and the most declarative thing in the range - superb for a customer whose taste you have discussed, risky for one you have not. Sandalwood at ₹479 is the warm middle and reads as considered. Jasmine at ₹449 is soft and floral, Lemon at ₹499 bright and clean, and both are hard to actively dislike. Sea Breeze at ₹509 and Icy Mint at ₹489 are the cooler end. Mysore Orange Blossom at ₹549 is spray only. All are alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. If the decision feels heavy, that is the argument for the Discovery Set: three scents hands the choosing back to the customer.
The SOSA gift edit
Four thank-yous against a large detailing bill, and where each one breaks
The option
Who it suits, and where it fails
A 12ml spray · ₹449 to ₹509
Specific to the car, used by the person who paid, no fitment and no explanation. It fails if your customer reads size as sincerity - a small sealed bottle is quiet by design, and on the largest jobs you may want a step up rather than a defence of it.
A combo of two scents · ₹899 to ₹949
Two bottles rather than one, sold as spray or hanging at the same price, which makes the box feel considered without changing the category. It fails as a middle step if what the customer actually needed was a choice, because a pair is still your choice twice.
A Discovery Set · ₹699 to ₹899
Three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, so the customer finds their own scent rather than living with yours. It fails if you wanted to assemble the three yourself - the trios are fixed, and a chosen-to-order set is not offered.
A generic keychain · your current spend
Cheap to hold, easy to hand over, and completely unattached to the work you did. It fails the relevance test in one glance, and a costlier keychain fails it in exactly the same way because the problem was never the price.
What exists for handing out in quantity, and what does not
Sets, combos, refills - and the four things nobody publishes
For businesses handing something to a lot of customers, this is the honest inventory. The Car Perfume Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Combos pair two scents at ₹899 and ₹949. 15ml refills are ₹399 to ₹449 and they refill the hanging bottle. Now the gaps, because you are planning around them: the trios are fixed and a build-your-own set is not offered; no spray refill is published; no bulk rate, minimum, lead time or per-unit cost is published anywhere; and no cost per spray can honestly be given.Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available - that is the one branding option. Quantities are settled on WhatsApp.
Two other things sit at the edges of this decision. 15ml refills at ₹399 to ₹449 look like an obvious add-on until you read them properly: they refill the hanging bottle, and no spray refill is published - a refill system for the sprays is described as in development, which is not something you can buy or promise. And SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 is a cordless waterless diffuser, 6.9 cm, with a 2000 mAh Type-C battery, three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off. It is imported rather than made in Pune, and at roughly eight times a 12ml bottle it is a different kind of decision entirely - a genuine answer for a chauffeur-driven car, and far too much object for a routine thank-you.
Published as Spray (Strong scent-throw). Applied when somebody decides to apply it, and nothing stays visible in the cabin afterwards. Eight scents, ₹449 to ₹509 at 12ml.
Published as Hanging (Mild scent-throw), and the same price as the spray. It runs continuously once it is in the car, and it is visible from the driver's seat.
Three travel-size mini sprays in one box, in eight fixed curated trios from ₹699 to ₹899, plus a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. The trios are fixed and a build-your-own set is not offered.
from ₹699
The one published fact that settles most of this decision
Spray and Hanging are the same price. So the choice is never the money.
Every SOSA car scent is sold in two forms and the store names them plainly: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). They cost exactly the same - ₹449 for Jasmine, ₹479 for Sandalwood and Lavender, ₹489 for Icy Mint, ₹499 for Lemon, and ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at 12ml. So the decision is not a budget decision at all. It is two other things. Who decides when the scent happens: a spray waits in a glovebox until somebody picks it up, while a hanging bottle starts working the moment it goes in and keeps working. And what stays visible: a hanging bottle hangs where the owner sees it, and a spray does not. For a business handing something to a customer, those two facts usually decide it on their own, because the car belongs to the customer and not to you. Every one of these is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Only one scent publishes how long it lasts:Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only, about 100 sprays at 10ml for ₹549 and about 500 sprays at 50ml for ₹1,499. No 12ml bottle publishes a life, in either form.
Tell SOSA who it is for, roughly how big the room is, whether their home is already scented and what you want to spend - and you will be told which size and which scent, including the times the honest answer is the 50ml rather than the 130ml.
Nobody weighs a thank-you against the invoice. They read it for whether the business that sent it understood what they had just paid for, and that is a much cheaper test to pass.
— Sonal Sahani, SOSA
The SOSA gifting range
Two questions settle almost every reed diffuser gift, and the first one is not price. How big is the room it is going into? A 50ml suits a bedroom, a study, a hallway or a first diffuser; a 130ml suits an open-plan living and dining area, and it is genuinely too much for a small closed bedroom. Then: how much do you actually know about their taste? The less you know, the less declarative the scent should be - Morning Freshness is the safest of the five for a home you have never stood in, and Fresh Brew coffee-vanilla is the strongest opinion in the range. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.
The SOSA car range, sorted by who controls when the scent happens
Start from control and visibility, not from the price
Eight scents at ₹449 to ₹509. Applied on demand by whoever is holding it, and it leaves nothing visible in the cabin - which is why it suits a car the giver does not own
₹3,999 - rechargeable, three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off, so a driver controls when it runs. Imported rather than made in India
₹3,999
Spray and Hanging are the same product at the same price. The store publishes them as Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw), and the choice is scent-throw and who controls it, never budget. Every SOSA car fragrance is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Fragrance adds a scent to a cabin; it does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is not a substitute for cleaning a car. No spray refill is published - the 15ml refills are for the hanging bottle. Prices above are published retail prices; bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available, and quantities, rates and anything commercial are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 rather than published here. SOSA is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The honest spec sheet
What the SOSA car pages publish, and what they do not
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
Two forms, one price - Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw) are published as variants of the same 12ml product at the same price: Jasmine ₹449, Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479, Icy Mint ₹489, Lemon ₹499, and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Every one also carries a 50ml spray at ₹1,499.
Composition - alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free, IFRA-compliant, formulated by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles trained, and made in India.
The only published longevity - Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only: about 100 sprays at 10ml (₹549) and about 500 sprays at 50ml (₹1,499), published as about 50 days at two sprays a day and 3 months and above at one. No other scent publishes a spray count or a duration, and no 12ml bottle publishes a life in either form.
Sets and combos - the Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Combos are ₹899 and ₹949. The trios are fixed; a build-your-own set is not offered.
Not published, and therefore never stated here: any bulk rate, minimum quantity, slab, price break, lead time, turnaround or per-unit cost; any trade, partner or dealer programme; any cost per spray; how long a 12ml bottle lasts; and anything at all about what a gift does to customer retention, referrals or repeat business. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
Working out what to hand a customer, and how many? Tell SOSA on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 four things: what your business actually does, roughly how many customers a month you are talking about, whether you want the customer to control the scent or the car to carry it continuously, and what you want to spend per customer. You will get a straight answer rather than a catalogue. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available - that is the one branding option, and there is no custom box, sleeve, insert or printed packaging. What is not on this page, because SOSA does not publish it: any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break, lead time or per-unit cost; any trade, partner or dealer programme; how long a 12ml bottle lasts in either form; any spray count for any scent except Mysore Orange Blossom; and any cost per spray. One thing worth knowing before you plan around it: the 15ml refills are for the hanging bottle, and no spray refill is published, so a spray is a sealed unit rather than a topped-up one. Where SOSA is: an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India, with no shop, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city.

A note from Sonal
The enquiries that come from automotive businesses are refreshingly unsentimental. Nobody writes to me about the magic of a first drive. They write: we hand over ninety cars a month, we currently give a keychain, and we are fairly sure nobody keeps it. That is a good question, and it deserves a better answer than a brochure.
So here is the part I would want you to take away, and it is the only part that is actually a fact. The spray and the hanging bottle are the same product at the same price. Jasmine is ₹449 either way. Oud is ₹509 either way. That surprises people, because they assume one must be the upgrade. Neither is. What you are choosing between is who decides when the scent happens and whether anything stays visible in the cabin - and when the car belongs to your customer rather than to you, those two questions usually answer themselves.
The part I will not pretend about is the part most of these enquiries are really asking. I cannot tell you that a gift brings anybody back. Nobody selling you a gift can, and the ones who say they can are selling you something else. What I can tell you is the mechanism: a small bottle goes into a car, it does not need fitting or explaining, it works the same in a hatchback and in a seven-seater, and if the customer likes it they will use it where they spend an hour a day. What that is worth to your business is your judgement, not mine.
And the honest gaps, because you are planning around them. There is no published bulk rate, no minimum, no lead time and no per-unit cost - not because they are secret but because they are settled properly in a conversation, and a page that invented them would be lying to you. Custom label or logo on product is real, and it is the only branding there is.
Frequently asked questions
Is a Rs 449 bottle too small a thank-you after a Rs 50,000 detailing job?
Not for the reason you might expect. A thank-you is read for relevance rather than weighed against the bill, and a car fragrance is relevant in a way a keychain is not, because it can only be used in the vehicle that was worked on. If a single bottle still feels thin on your largest jobs, the honest step up is a Discovery Set at Rs 699 to Rs 899, or the Pack of 9 at Rs 2,999.
What is published on prices for a detailing studio buying these regularly?
Only the retail list: Rs 449 for Jasmine, Rs 479 for Sandalwood and Lavender, Rs 489 for Icy Mint, Rs 499 for Lemon, and Rs 509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at 12ml, with Discovery Sets at Rs 699 to Rs 899. No bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break and no lead time is published, and no trade or corporate programme exists. Quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
Can we assemble our own three scents into a set for our top-end customers?
No, that is not offered. The eight Discovery Set trios are fixed, and a build-your-own three is described by SOSA as something it is still exploring rather than a product. What is available is the fixed trios at Rs 699 to Rs 899, the Pack of 9 at Rs 2,999, and combos of two scents at Rs 899 and Rs 949.
On the dearer scents, does the spray cost more?
No. Every 12ml scent is published in both forms at one price, from Jasmine at Rs 449 to Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at Rs 509. The words Strong scent-throw and Mild scent-throw describe the two variants, not two price points, so moving between forms never changes what you pay at any level of the range.
What can SOSA tell us about what a gift like this is worth to our business?
Nothing, and that is the straight answer. SOSA publishes no data on referrals, repeat work, recall or any other business outcome, and neither does anybody else selling gifts. The mechanism is all that is knowable: a bottle goes into the car, and if the scent suits the owner it gets used in a place they spend real time. Any figure attached to that by a supplier was invented for the conversation you are having with them.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the buying reasoning applies to any brand.
Specifications verified from the live SOSA product pages, September 2026: every SOSA car fragrance is published in two forms of the same 12ml product - Spray, described on the store as strong scent-throw, and Hanging, described as mild scent-throw - and the two forms are the same price. Those prices are Jasmine ₹449; Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479; Icy Mint ₹489; Lemon ₹499; and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Each of those products also carries a 50ml car perfume spray at ₹1,499. Limits of this guide: fragrance adds a scent to a cabin. It does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is never a substitute for cleaning a vehicle. No claim is made anywhere on this page about mood, stress, calm, alertness or wellbeing, nor about the safety of any product for children, pregnant passengers, elderly passengers or pets, nor about flammability, nor about how any customer or passenger will feel. No claim is made about business outcomes. Nothing on this page states or implies that a gift increases customer retention, referrals, repeat business, reviews, recall or sales; SOSA publishes no data of that kind and none is invented here. No competitor is named or characterised, and no rating, review count or customer name from any product page is cited. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; that is the only branding option, and quantities are settled on WhatsApp. SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, sending orders across India, with no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city.
