Founder Diaries · Attars, Fragrance Discovery & Buying for Known Taste

This is the argument every other page in this bank circles, so here it is without the circling. You are not short of information about this person. You can name what they wear, you could find it in a shop with your eyes shut, and none of that gets you any closer, because a signature scent is a record of one decision somebody made years ago and then stopped revisiting. It is evidence about the past. It is not a forecast, and no amount of further thinking converts it into one. So buying more confidently is not a move available to you. Buying differently is. Three small bottles do not improve the guess - they retire it, and hand the question to the only person who can actually answer it.
SOSA Attar Trio, Ameeri Nawaab and Mastani, from Rs 1,055
SOSA Attar Trio · Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani · 3ml, 6ml or 12ml from ₹1,055 →
The page that closes the argument, and the figure it rests on. The SOSA Attar Trio is one fixed combination - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, all three bottles in the size you select - at ₹1,055 for 3 x 3ml, ₹1,859 for 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 for 3 x 12ml. A 3ml is published at roughly 60 wears at one dab, which is what turns three bottles into a trial rather than a gesture. Adaa is the fourth attar, sits outside the box and is sold on its own from ₹379.
Quick answers — read this first
Is it reasonable to give three fragrances when I am not sure what they would choose? It is the one response to uncertainty that does not require you to resolve it. Three bottles do not make a better guess; they end the guessing, because the decision moves to the person wearing them. The SOSA Attar Trio is ₹1,055 for 3 x 3ml, and each 3ml is published at roughly 60 wears at one dab - enough to reach an opinion rather than a first impression.

What makes three small bottles a real trial rather than a token? The published quantity figure. A 3ml runs to roughly 60 wears at one dab - enough to wear one on an ordinary working day, notice what the drydown does after the first 30 minutes and decide properly. Published wear is 6 to 8 hours per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin. That figure is a 3ml figure only; SOSA publishes nothing for the 6ml or the 12ml, so it cannot be scaled.

Is the trio chosen around what I already know about them? No. The SOSA Attar Trio is one fixed combination - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, with all three bottles in the single size you select. Nobody composes it to a brief. Adaa, the fourth attar and the lightest, sits outside it and is bought on its own from ₹379. A different three, or three different sizes, means buying individually at full price.
The short answer
Short answer: A signature scent is evidence about the past rather than a forecast about the next bottle. Three small attars do not produce a better guess, they end the guessing, because the decision moves to the wearer. The SOSA Attar Trio is one fixed set of Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani at Rs 1,055 in 3 x 3ml, Rs 1,859 in 3 x 6ml and Rs 3,189 in 3 x 12ml, with roughly 60 wears published in each 3ml. Adaa is outside the box, from Rs 379.
The pick: The 3 x 3ml trio at ₹1,055 - three published directions, roughly 60 wears in each, and the whole decision handed over rather than made on their behalf.
Why: Because the uncertainty is real and cannot be researched away. A large bottle converts your uncertainty into one expensive assertion; three small ones convert it into a question that the person wearing them can actually settle.
You know what they wear. That is a starting point, not an answer.Three to smell - the published Attar Trio, ₹1,055 in 3 x 3mlOne to commit to - a single 12ml attar, ₹1,149 to ₹1,199The trio is always the same three, always one sizeNever - a promise about what they will like
Knowing somebody's signature fragrance is more information than most gift buyers have, and it still does not answer the question, because the next bottle is not the same bottle. What three small attars buy you is evidence rather than a guess - three things to put on skin over a week. What the published trio is not is a set you assemble: it is one fixed combination of Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, in whichever single size you choose. And no page can tell you what anybody will make of any of them.
Straight answer
I know enough about someone's perfume taste to understand where they are starting, but not enough to confidently choose their next full bottle - could an attar trio turn that uncertainty into the point of the gift by giving them three directions to smell, compare and decide for themselves?
Yes, and it is worth being precise about why, because the reason is not that three is a hedge. Somebody who has worn one bottle for years has usually not tested and rejected the alternatives - they found something acceptable early, stopped searching, and have been restocking ever since. That makes their signature a reliable boundary and an unreliable forecast: it tells you what is not objectionable, and nothing about what would be chosen if anything else were on the table. You cannot close that gap by thinking harder, and nobody can sell you a product that closes it either. What you can do is stop trying to close it and hand it over intact. The SOSA Attar Trio is ₹1,055 for 3 x 3ml, ₹1,859 for 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 for 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 for the same bottles bought one at a time - a saving of ₹118, ₹204 and ₹354, ten per cent at every tier. It holds Ameeri, Taif rose and Persian saffron over Indian sandalwood with a soft oudh and amber; Nawaab, white royal oud with Mysore sandalwood, aged tobacco leaf, agarwood, leather and vetiver, published as the deepest of the four; and Mastani, night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka. The figure that turns this from a gesture into a trial is roughly 60 wears in a 3ml at one dab - enough to wear one on an ordinary Tuesday, let the drydown develop after the first 30 minutes and arrive at a real opinion rather than a counter reaction. Published wear is 6 to 8 hours per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin. Three limits, because a page that closes an argument should also close the exits. The trio is fixed - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, one size across all three, and Adaa is not part of it and is sold separately from ₹379. It is published as an evening set of depth, warmth and floral, so a bright, light, citrus-led brief is the wrong brief for it and Adaa on its own is the straight answer instead. And nothing on this page can tell you what they will settle on, because SOSA publishes no information of that kind and none is invented here - which is not a weakness of the format but the entire reason it works. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Three bottles are not a better guess. They are the end of guessing, handed to the person who has to wear the result.
The quick version: a signature is evidence, not a forecast. The 3 x 3ml trio at ₹1,055 when the honest position is that you do not know - three published directions, roughly 60 wears in each bottle. ₹1,859 in 3 x 6ml or ₹3,189 in 3 x 12ml when supply is the point. A single 12ml at ₹1,149 to ₹1,199 when you can name the material. Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani every time - Adaa is bought separately from ₹379.
The SOSA Attar Trio from ₹1,055

Why the uncertainty is the thing worth giving

Every other version of this question tries to convert what you know into more confidence. This one goes the other way - it takes the uncertainty seriously, accepts that it cannot be researched away, and asks what you would buy if you stopped pretending otherwise. The three factors below are that argument, in the order it actually holds together.

01
What a signature is
Evidence about the past, and no research turns it into a forecast
A person who has worn one thing for years did not run a tournament and crown a winner. They found something acceptable early - often in their twenties, often because it was a gift or was on a shelf in front of them - and then stopped looking, because the everyday question was solved and there was no reason to reopen it. That history makes the bottle excellent evidence of one thing and useless evidence of another. It tells you a boundary: whatever that scent is, it is not objectionable to them, and a direction adjacent to it is unlikely to be alarming. It tells you nothing about a preference, because the preference was never tested against a field.

This matters because it is the exact point where fragrance gifting usually goes wrong. The buyer treats a long-worn bottle as a statement of taste, extrapolates from it, and buys something that is either too close to be interesting or extrapolated from a decision that was mostly circumstance. The signature is a floor, not a direction of travel.
Tip: Evidence about the past. Not a forecast - and no amount of further research turns one into the other.
02
What three bottles actually do
Three do not improve the guess. They retire it
The weak version of this argument is that three chances are better odds than one. That is not the argument, and it is not even true - three unfamiliar things chosen by you are still three of your guesses. The real mechanism is different: three small bottles change who decides. You stop being the person who has to be right about somebody else's skin, and they become the person who settles it, which is where the question belonged all along.

What makes that a trial rather than a gesture is one published number. A 3ml is published at roughly 60 wears at one dab. That is enough to wear one to work on an ordinary Tuesday, wear it again on a Thursday when the novelty has gone, notice what happens once the drydown develops after the first 30 minutes, and reach a conclusion that is not a shop-counter reaction. Three of those at ₹1,055 is a genuine fortnight of evidence. SOSA publishes no wear figure at all for the 6ml or the 12ml, so nobody should be scaling sixty upwards - the smallest tier is the one matched to this job, and the larger tiers at ₹1,859 and ₹3,189 are supply rather than discovery.
03
The limits, stated in full
The box is fixed, Adaa is outside it, and nobody here knows the ending
Three constraints, and a page that has argued this hard should carry all of them. The trio is one published combination. Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, every time, with all three bottles in the single size you select. It is not assembled around anybody, it cannot be recomposed, and a different three or three different sizes means buying the attars individually at full price. Adaa is the fourth attar and sits outside the box, sold on its own at ₹379 in 3ml, ₹669 in 6ml and ₹1,149 in 12ml - published as the lightest of the four and as the daytime attar. The box is published as an evening set of depth, warmth and floral, and SOSA's own page lists a preference for fresh, light, citrus-led attars among its reasons not to buy it. If that is the brief, Adaa on its own is the answer and the trio is not.

And the third limit is the one this whole page rests on. What anybody settles on is not published anywhere and is not knowable here. No page in this bank states or implies that a named person will enjoy, prefer, adopt or keep any of these bottles. That is not caution for its own sake - a gift that asserts something about somebody's taste can turn out to be wrong, while a gift that asks a question cannot.
Tip: A fixed set that nobody assembled makes no claim about the recipient at all. That is the honest version of a safe choice.
SOSA Adaa attar, bergamot cardamom and jasmine sambac
The bottle the trio does not contain
Adaa, and why it matters to half these questions
SOSA publishes four attars. Three of them are in the trio and one is not. Adaa - bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk - is published as the lightest of the four and a daytime attar, and it is sold on its own at ₹379 in 3ml, ₹669 in 6ml and ₹1,149 in 12ml. That matters because the trio page itself lists a reason not to buy the trio: it is an evening set of depth, warmth and floral, and somebody who wears bright, light, citrus-led fragrance is not the buyer for it. If what you know about their taste is that it is fresh, the honest route is Adaa rather than the box - and if you want Adaa alongside two others, that is three individual bottles at full price, because the trio cannot be recomposed.
See Adaa from ₹379 →
Work it out in this order
The closing argument, in four lines
  1. Treat their signature as a boundary you can trust and a forecast you cannot.
  2. Ask whether you can name a material. If not, buy breadth rather than depth.
  3. The 3 x 3ml trio is Rs 1,055 - roughly 60 wears published in each bottle.
  4. Then stop. What they settle on is theirs, and nobody publishes it in advance.
The SOSA principle
You cannot buy a better guess. You can buy the end of guessing, and hand it to the only person qualified to finish it.
Which is why the smallest tier is not the economical option here. It is the one built for the job the gift is actually doing.

The three directions, and the one outside the box

Three directions come in the box, and they are genuinely unlike one another rather than three shades of one idea. Ameeri is the warm one - Taif rose and Persian saffron over Indian sandalwood, with a soft oudh underneath and amber and white musk in the base. Nawaab is the deep one, and SOSA publishes it as the deepest of the four: white royal oud leading, dry and woody, with Mysore sandalwood, aged tobacco leaf, agarwood, leather and vetiver, and no flower anywhere in the list. Mastani is the floral one, though floral with a base holding it down - night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka. Those three are the trio, at ₹1,055, ₹1,859 and ₹3,189. The fourth attar, Adaa, sits outside the set at ₹379, ₹669 and ₹1,149, and it is the lighter, brighter end of the range - bergamot, green cardamom and neroli in front of jasmine sambac, magnolia, white musk, vetiver and cedarwood.

The SOSA gift edit
Everything that competes for this money, and where each one gives out
The option Who it suits, and where it fails
Their signature, bought again The only purchase on this list with no uncertainty in it - and none of the information that uncertainty would have bought you either. It restocks a decision made years ago and asks nothing. Where it breaks: they already solved this problem, which is why you are reading a page about what else to buy.
One unfamiliar 12ml at ₹1,149 to ₹1,199 Your uncertainty converted into a single large object. If the direction is right it is the best thing on this list; if it is not, the whole budget went on one guess about somebody who has not compared alternatives in years. Where it breaks: SOSA publishes no wear figure for a 12ml, so even the size is an unknown.
The trio, 3 x 3ml at ₹1,055 The uncertainty handed over whole: three published directions, roughly 60 wears in each bottle, three bottles in a single gift-ready box. Where it breaks: the combination is fixed at Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, it is published as an evening set, and Adaa is not in it - so a fresh, citrus-led brief is the wrong brief.
The trio plus Adaa, ₹1,434 in 3ml The entire published attar range in one order - four bottles, two lines, with Adaa at its own full price because it cannot be put inside the box. Where it breaks: on cost and on restraint. Four bottles of unfamiliar scent is a great deal to hand somebody who asked for nothing.
SOSA Attar Trio, three bottles in one gift-ready box
What the three sizes actually buy you
3ml, 6ml or 12ml - and roughly sixty wears in the smallest
All three trio tiers contain the same three attars; the only variable is how much of each. ₹1,055 buys 3 x 3ml, and the published figure for a 3ml is roughly 60 wears at one dab - which is the number that makes a discovery gift a real one rather than a set of samples, because it is enough to wear a scent on an ordinary Tuesday and not just sniff it in a shop. ₹1,859 buys 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 buys 3 x 12ml, the largest published size of each. Against the same bottles bought singly those are savings of ₹118, ₹204 and ₹354. The trio ships with all three bottles in the same size - there is no mixed-size set, and SOSA states that mixing sizes means buying the three individually and losing the trio price.
See the SOSA Attar Trio from ₹1,055 →

The practical facts, gathered in one place, because they travel with the gift and the gift is better for arriving with them. All four attars are alcohol-free and DPG-free, carried on Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba, IFRA-compliant and skin-safe, hand-blended in small batches in Pune by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles trained, with country of origin India. Each bottle has a built-in dab applicator: the published instruction is to dab on pulse points and not to rub, because rubbing flattens an attar before it has begun. Published wear is 6 to 8 hours per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin, with the drydown developing after the first 30 minutes - so a scent dismissed in the first five minutes has not been judged at all. Attar oils can stain light silks, so they go on skin rather than straight onto fabric. Heat-stability to 45 degrees C is published on the trio and Adaa pages. And the trio's three bottles come in a single gift-ready box, with brass-coloured caps and labels in maroon, deep red and royal blue.

The fact that changes most of these questions
The trio is one published combination. You do not choose the three.
Almost every version of this question arrives phrased as a curation problem - which three directions should I pick for her? - and the honest answer is that the published SOSA Attar Trio is a fixed set: Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, in whichever single size you choose. Adaa, the lightest of the four, is not in it - SOSA publishes it as the daytime attar and sells it on its own. And the trio ships with all three bottles in the same size; SOSA's own page states that a different three, or three different sizes, means buying individually and losing the trio price. So the real decision is not which three. It is whether these three are the right three for what you already know about their taste - and where they are not, the page should say so rather than sell you the box. The prices are ₹1,055 in 3 x 3ml, ₹1,859 in 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 in 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 for the same bottles bought singly. What any of them does on a particular person, and what that person makes of being given them, is not something SOSA publishes and not something this page will invent.

The SOSA gifting range

Two questions settle almost every attar gift where you already know what they wear, and the first one is not price. Are you buying breadth or depth? Breadth means three bottles to put on skin over a week, which is what the published trio is for; depth means one 12ml in a direction you are already confident about. Then: does what you know about their taste sit inside what the trio actually contains? The trio is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - warm rose and saffron, white royal oud, and night-jasmine with Damask rose. It has no light, fresh or citrus-led bottle in it, because Adaa is the lightest of the four and is sold separately from ₹379. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.

SOSA Attar Trio - 3 x 3ml Three to smell, not one to guess ₹1,055 for Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani in 3ml each, against ₹1,173 bought singly. The published figure for a 3ml is roughly 60 wears at one dab - enough to actually live with a scent rather than sniff it ₹1,055
SOSA Attar Trio - 3 x 6ml The middle size ₹1,859 against ₹2,063 bought singly. The same three attars; the trio ships with all three bottles in the same size ₹1,859
SOSA Attar Trio - 3 x 12ml Three full bottles ₹3,189 against ₹3,543 bought singly. The largest published size of each, in one gift-ready box ₹3,189
Adaa - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml The lightest in the range ₹379, ₹669 and ₹1,149. Bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk. Adaa is not in the trio - SOSA publishes it as the daytime attar and sells it separately from ₹379
Ameeri - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml Warm, rose and saffron led ₹385, ₹679 and ₹1,165. Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, a measured oudh and amber from ₹385
Mastani - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml Floral depth ₹389, ₹685 and ₹1,179. Night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka from ₹389
Nawaab - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml The deepest in the range ₹399, ₹699 and ₹1,199. White royal oud led, with Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf. SOSA publishes this as the deepest of the four from ₹399
SOSA solid body perfumes - 15g Worn, and smaller still ₹459 to ₹549. The other worn format in the range. No wear-time figure is published for these, so this page does not give one from ₹459
SOSA reed diffusers A room, not a person From ₹749 in 50ml. Listed here only to rule it out: a reed diffuser scents a room and an attar is worn. They are not substitutes, and a fragrance-taste question is not answered by a bottle that sits on a shelf from ₹749

The single most useful fact on this page: the published Attar Trio is one fixed combination. It is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, every time, and all three bottles ship in the size you select. Adaa cannot be substituted into it, and there is no mixed-size trio - SOSA's own page says that if you want a different three, or three different sizes, you buy the bottles individually and the trio discount does not apply. Published across all five pages: 6 to 8 hours of wear per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin, a built-in dab applicator (dab on pulse points, do not rub), a carrier of Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba, and alcohol-free, DPG-free, IFRA-compliant formulations hand-blended in small batches in Pune. A 3ml is published at roughly 60 wears at one dab. Attar oils can stain light silks, so they go on skin rather than on fabric. Prices above are the published selling prices; bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available, with quantities settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. SOSA is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

What the SOSA attar pages publish, and what they do not
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
  • The four attars and their prices - Adaa, bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk, ₹379 / ₹669 / ₹1,149; Ameeri, Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh and amber, ₹385 / ₹679 / ₹1,165; Mastani, night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka, ₹389 / ₹685 / ₹1,179; Nawaab, white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf, ₹399 / ₹699 / ₹1,199. In 3ml, 6ml and 12ml. Those four are the entire attar range.
  • The trio - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani at ₹1,055, ₹1,859 and ₹3,189 for 3 x 3ml, 3 x 6ml and 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 bought singly. It is one fixed combination, all three bottles in the same size, and Adaa is not in it. A different three, or mixed sizes, means buying individually at full price.
  • Wear - 6 to 8 hours on skin per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin, with the drydown developing after the first 30 minutes. A 3ml is published at roughly 60 wears at one dab. That is the only quantity figure SOSA gives for an attar.
  • The format - a concentrated oil attar with a built-in dab applicator; dab on pulse points and do not rub. Carrier of Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba. Alcohol-free, DPG-free, IFRA-compliant, skin-safe, heat-stable to 45 degrees C, hand-blended in small batches in Pune by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles trained. Attar oils can stain light silks, so they go on skin rather than fabric.
  • Relative depth, in SOSA's own words - Adaa is published as the lightest of the four and Nawaab as the deepest, with Ameeri and Mastani between them. That ordering is published; no number from any product page is quoted here, and no claim is made about how any of them behaves on a particular person.
  • Not published, and therefore never stated here: any sillage, projection or room-distance figure; any shelf life, expiry, concentration or oil percentage; any seasonal or skin-chemistry claim beyond "longer on warm or oily skin"; any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break or lead time; any presentation beyond the trio's single gift-ready box and a custom label or logo on product; and anything whatsoever about what a recipient will like or how a gift will be received. A note from Sonal

The message we get most often on WhatsApp is not what should I buy. It is a more specific and more interesting problem: I know exactly what she wears. I have known for years. I just cannot buy it again. That person is not short of information. They are short of a next step, which is a different thing entirely, and almost nothing written about fragrance gifting treats it as different.

Here is the part I would want them to hold on to. Knowing somebody's signature tells you where they started, not where they would go. A person who has worn one bottle for a decade has usually not rejected the alternatives - they have never had three of them on their own skin at the same time. So the useful gift is not a better guess at one bottle. It is evidence: several things to wear, on separate days, and the chance to notice which one they reach for without being asked to be polite about it.

The part I will be blunt about, because our own product page is blunt about it: the trio is one fixed set. Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, all three in whichever size you choose. It is not assembled around a person's taste, Adaa is not in it, and if somebody wears bright citrus and nothing else, that box is the wrong box - Adaa on its own is the honest answer, and it costs a great deal less. I would rather lose the larger sale than have three bottles sit unopened on somebody's dressing table.

And the thing nobody selling fragrance should pretend to know: I cannot tell you what they will like. I can tell you what is in each bottle, that one dab carries six to eight hours, that a 3ml is roughly sixty wears, and that all four are alcohol-free and blended here in Pune. What happens when a particular person puts a particular attar on a particular wrist is genuinely theirs to find out - and giving them three ways to find it out is, I think, the whole point.

Frequently asked questions

Is giving three bottles just a way of avoiding the decision?
It moves the decision rather than dodging it. You are still choosing the category, the format, the size and the price, and you are choosing a published set whose contents you can read in full before you pay. What you are not doing is deciding on somebody else's behalf which of three directions belongs on their skin, which is the one part of this that they can settle far better than you can - roughly 60 wears in each 3ml is what makes that settlement real rather than notional.
Does the trio come chosen around what I already know about their taste?
No. The SOSA Attar Trio is one fixed combination of Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, with all three bottles in the single size you select, and it is not composed to a brief for anybody. Adaa is the fourth attar, is not part of the set and is sold separately from Rs 379. If you want a different three, or three different sizes, you buy the attars individually at full price and the trio price no longer applies.
What if I have the whole direction wrong?
That is precisely the case the smallest tier exists for - at Rs 1,055 for three 3ml bottles, a direction that turns out to be wrong costs a third of the order rather than all of it. There is one direction the box genuinely cannot cover, though, and it is worth checking first: if what you know is that their taste is light, bright and citrus-led, SOSA publishes the trio as an evening set and points that buyer at Adaa instead, at Rs 379 in 3ml, Rs 669 in 6ml and Rs 1,149 in 12ml.
Should I tell them it is a trial rather than a present?
SOSA publishes nothing about how any gift is received, and nothing on this page can tell you that part. What is worth passing on is the published instruction, because it changes what they get from the bottles: one dab on pulse points and no rubbing, 6 to 8 hours of wear per bottle and longer on warm or oily skin, a drydown that develops after the first 30 minutes, and oils that can stain light silks so they go on skin rather than fabric.
What is the difference between the three trio sizes?
Only the size of the three bottles, which are always Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani. It is Rs 1,055 for 3 x 3ml, Rs 1,859 for 3 x 6ml and Rs 3,189 for 3 x 12ml, against Rs 1,173, Rs 2,063 and Rs 3,543 bought one at a time - a saving of Rs 118, Rs 204 and Rs 354, which is ten per cent at every tier. The published quantity figure of roughly 60 wears applies to a 3ml only; SOSA publishes no figure for the 6ml or the 12ml, so the larger tiers are a supply decision rather than a measured one.
SOSA fragrance gift
Take the next step
Hand over the question instead of answering it for them
The 3 x 3ml trio at ₹1,055 when the point is three directions and roughly 60 wears in each bottle to settle them. ₹1,859 in 3 x 6ml or ₹3,189 in 3 x 12ml when you already expect all three to be worn through rather than sorted between. A single 12ml at ₹1,149 to ₹1,199 when you can name the material and breadth would be wasted. And Adaa from ₹379 when what you know is that their taste is bright and light, because the box is published as an evening set.
Not sure which one suits the person you are buying for? Send SOSA their age, whether they drive, whether they like their home scented and your budget on WhatsApp, and you will get an honest answer - including when the cheaper product is the better gift.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the reasoning about how to buy fragrance for somebody whose taste you partly know applies to any brand.

Specifications verified from the live SOSA product pages, September 2026: SOSA publishes four attars and one pack of three, and that is the entire attar range. Adaa - bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac, magnolia, white musk, vetiver and cedarwood - is ₹379 in 3ml, ₹669 in 6ml and ₹1,149 in 12ml. Ameeri - Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh, amber and white musk - is ₹385, ₹679 and ₹1,165. Mastani - night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka - is ₹389, ₹685 and ₹1,179. Nawaab - white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf - is ₹399, ₹699 and ₹1,199. The SOSA Attar Trio is one fixed combination - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - at ₹1,055 for 3 x 3ml, ₹1,859 for 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 for 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 for the same bottles bought singly. All three bottles in a trio ship in the same size and in a single gift-ready box. Adaa is not in the trio; SOSA publishes it as the daytime attar, sold separately, and the trio page states that a different combination or mixed sizes means buying individually without the trio price. Published across all five pages: 6 to 8 hours of wear per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin; a drydown that develops after the first 30 minutes; roughly 60 wears in a 3ml at one dab; a built-in dab applicator, dabbed on pulse points rather than rubbed; a carrier of Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba; alcohol-free, DPG-free, IFRA-compliant and skin-safe; heat-stable to 45 degrees C; hand-blended in small batches in Pune; country of origin India. Attar oils can stain light silks and are applied to skin rather than fabric. For comparison: SOSA solid body perfumes are ₹459 to ₹549 in 15g and are also worn, though no wear-time figure is published for them; SOSA reed diffusers from ₹749 scent a room rather than a person and are not an alternative to an attar. What is not published, and is therefore not stated here: any sillage, projection or room-distance figure; any shelf life, expiry, concentration or oil percentage; any seasonal or skin-chemistry claim beyond "longer on warm or oily skin"; any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break or lead time; and any presentation beyond the trio's single gift-ready box and a custom label or logo on product. Limits of this guide: no claim is made anywhere on this page about mood, stress, calm, sleep, headaches, sensitivity or wellbeing, in either direction. No claim is made about what any recipient will like. Nothing here states or implies that a named person will enjoy, prefer, adopt or be impressed by any fragrance, that a scent will suit them or become their signature, or that a gift will be well received; SOSA publishes no information of that kind and none is invented here. No third-party perfume, perfume house or brand is named, and no resemblance, alternative or dupe claim is made about any SOSA product. No rating, review count, strength score or customer name from any product page is cited, and no competitor or category of competing product is characterised. No statement is made about what any community, religion or family wears or gives, and no etiquette rule is presented as fact. No fragrance is assigned to a gender; SOSA publishes all four attars as wearable by anyone. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; that is the only branding option, and quantities are settled on WhatsApp. SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, sending orders across India, with no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
