When a driver tells me their perfume does not last, I almost never blame the perfume. The bottle is usually doing its job - the conditions around it are working against it. Here are the seven causes I see again and again, in roughly the order of how much damage they do.

Heat - a 65-70°C cabin
A car parked in summer sun reaches 65-70°C within an hour. Scent works by evaporation, and heat speeds that up enormously - so a perfume that would last weeks in a mild cabin drains in days in that oven. This is the single biggest reason, ahead of everything else.

Draughts and open windows
Driving with the windows down, or a vent on full, continuously flushes scented air out and pulls fresh in. You are effectively airing the cabin all drive, so even a heavy scent struggles to build.
