You have already made half of this decision and you may not have noticed. Ruling the vent out is not indecision, it is a finished answer, and it narrows the question to a choice between two formats that behave completely differently in a way you can test this afternoon.
Which should I choose if I do not want anything attached to my AC vents: Ambi Pur or an Involve spray?

You have ruled out a format, not a brand, and that leaves exactly two options. A vent fitting uses the vent's own airflow - more while the fan is moving air, less while it is not - and it occupies a vent for as long as it is there. If you do not want that, the format is out whoever makes it. What remains is a spray, which releases fragrance when a person decides to and not otherwise, or a hanging unit, which runs continuously and cannot be turned down. And SOSA makes no vent product at all, so we are not in the running on that side either way.

Which of the two brands should I actually buy?

That is the part we will not answer, and the reason matters more than the answer would. SOSA has not tested either product. No price, pack size, interval, longevity figure or ingredient for either has been verified here, and neither has spent a month in a car of ours. So we will not say whose perfume is better, and we will not call them equal either, because equivalence is also a measurement nobody took. Format behaviour is the one thing comparable without measuring anything, and every claim about it on this page is checkable in your own car.

What does SOSA sell for a vent, and what does it sell instead?

For a vent, nothing. SOSA makes no vent clip, no vent fitting and no passive gel or canister, so if a vent fitting is what you want you are buying it elsewhere and we have no stake in that. For the two formats you have left, the 12ml line: SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume is ₹449 and SOSA publishes the identical bottle as Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw) at that one price, so a single purchase covers whichever of the two you land on. A 15ml refill is ₹399 and refills the hanging format only.

What each remaining format mechanically does

Three steps in the order worth taking them: work out which vent objection is yours, then choose between the two formats left on effort, then price only the half anybody can price honestly.

1
Find out which objection is actually yours
Three different complaints share the sentence you typed, and one of them has a free fix
The first is practical: you want that vent for air and you do not want it narrowed or aimed around something. Most cars have four or more vents and the ones at the outer edges are rarely the ones you point at yourself, so moving a fitting costs nothing and the objection disappears. The second is visual: you like a clean fascia and anything clipped to it is one thing too many. That one is real and no relocation fixes it, because every vent is in view. The third is about where the air goes: a vent fitting sits in the stream that arrives at a face, and if that is the part you dislike, no vent on the car solves it. Two of the three mean the format is genuinely out for you. One of them means you have been arguing with a position rather than a product.
Try the outboard vent for a week before concluding the format is wrong. It is the only free experiment in this comparison.
2
Choose between the two formats you have left, on effort
One needs you present on every journey, the other needs nobody and has no level
This is the whole decision now, and it is a question about your week rather than about anybody's product. A spray releases fragrance when you decide to, so it gives you the moment and charges you a decision every time you want it. A hanging unit releases continuously while it is in the car, asks nothing of your memory, and cannot be set lower for a passenger or switched off for one journey without being taken out. Count the separate times you got into the car last week and ask whether a two-second action would really have happened before each one. If the honest answer is no, the continuous format is yours. If you enjoy choosing the moment, the spray is, and it costs the same.
A hanging unit does not have to live at the mirror either. If your objection was visual, that applies here too.
SOSA Jasmine is ₹449 in either published variant, refill ₹399.
SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume ₹449
3
Price only the half that can be priced
SOSA prices its own two formats at one figure, and has nothing to price on the vent side
Inside SOSA the buying price is identical across spray and hanging on every scent, ₹449 to ₹509 for 12ml, so the choice you have left is free. The keeping price differs: a hanging unit takes a 15ml refill at ₹399 to ₹449, less money than a replacement 12ml unit and more oil, while a spray has no published refill in the range and is rebought instead. On the vent side there is nothing to price, because SOSA makes nothing there, and what your current product costs is a number you have and we do not. If you want a spend comparison, bring your own receipts and we will price our half from published figures only.
SOSA Car Hanging Freshener Refill is ₹399 to ₹449 for 15ml.
SOSA Car Hanging Freshener Refill 15ml ₹399
You have ruled out a format, and SOSA never made one A vent fitting occupies a vent and tracks the fan SOSA sells no vent clip and no vent fitting at all What is left is spray or hanging: an effort question One ₹449 bottle is published in both remaining formats We have tested neither product and will not rank them
The second line is the one a shop would normally leave out. SOSA has nothing to sell for a vent, which means nothing on this page about the vent format is a sales argument - it is just how airflow works, and you can check it yourself.
The straight answer
If nothing is going on the AC vents, what is actually left, and does SOSA make an alternative that goes on a vent instead?
No, SOSA does not, and that is the first thing you should hear. SOSA makes no vent clip, no vent fitting and no passive gel or canister of any kind, so on the vent half of your question SOSA is not in the running at all. That is not modesty and it is not a lead-in to something else - we have nothing in that format and we are not going to hand you a bottle while pretending it answers a question about a vent. What your sentence does is rule out a format rather than a brand, and that leaves two. A manual spray releases fragrance at the moment a person decides to and not otherwise, which gives you complete control of the moment and costs you a decision before every journey you want it on. A hanging unit releases continuously while it is in the car, which asks nothing of your memory and cannot be turned down or switched off without physically removing it. Those are mechanical properties and you can confirm both this afternoon. Before you pick, though, do one thing, because this is the finding worth carrying away. A vent objection is almost always one of three different objections wearing the same sentence: the vent is wanted for air and you do not want it narrowed; the fitting is visible on a fascia you like clean; or the air arriving at your face carries whatever is clipped to it. Only the first of those is about the format, and only the first has a free fix - most cars have four or more vents and the outboard ones are rarely the ones you aim at yourself. If your objection turns out to be the second or the third, then the vent format really is out and we agree with you. What SOSA has for the two formats left is one bottle that covers both: SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume at ₹449 for 12ml, published in two variants at that single price, Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw), with a 15ml refill at ₹399 for the hanging one that costs less than a replacement bottle and holds more oil. There is no published SOSA spray refill at all. We will not rank the two products in your title: SOSA has tested neither, holds no verified figure for either and will not call them equal either. The standing limits: no duration figure is published for the 12ml line in either variant, the only published dose and duration figures in the car range belong to Mysore Orange Blossom, no coverage or cabin-size rating exists for any SOSA car product, and no running cost or warranty figure is published for the device range. Tell us which of the three vent objections is yours and we will tell you whether you have actually ruled the format out.
SOSA makes no vent product at all, so half this question has no SOSA answer. What is left is spray or hanging, and one ₹449 bottle is published in both.
The idea this page turns on
The sentence "I do not want anything attached to my AC vents" hides three different complaints - a vent wanted for air, a fascia wanted clean, and air arriving at a face - and only the first is a complaint about the format rather than about a position on the dashboard.
SOSA makes no vent product, so the page has no commercial reason to talk you out of the format and no reason to talk you into it either, which is exactly why the distinction is worth making here.
For anyone skimming
Short answer: you have ruled out a format rather than a brand, so what is left is spray or hanging - and before you choose, find out which of the three possible vent objections is actually yours, because one of them is solved for free by using a different vent
The pick: SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume at ₹449 for 12ml, which SOSA publishes in both remaining formats at that single price - Spray (Strong scent-throw) or Hanging (Mild scent-throw) - refillable at ₹399 in the hanging variant; for a vent, SOSA has nothing and says so
Next step: tell us which of the three vent objections is yours - the blocked vent, the visible clip or the air arriving at your face - because only one of them is about the format. Tell us what the vent objection actually is
SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume
The gap this page states instead of filling: SOSA makes no vent clip, no vent fitting and no passive canister, so if a vent fitting is genuinely what suits you, you are buying it from somebody else.
Tell us what the vent objection actually is

What is left once the vent is out

Both cards sit on the non-vent side of your question, because that is the only side SOSA is in. There is no vent card and there could not be one: SOSA makes none, and nothing below is offered as a replacement for a format we do not sell.

SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume
One bottle that covers both of the formats you have left
SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume, 12ml - published in two variants at one price
₹449, and SOSA publishes the identical bottle as Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw) at that same price. So the decision you still have to make costs nothing either way: pick the mechanic you prefer rather than the one you can afford. No duration figure is published for the 12ml line in either variant.
₹449
SOSA Car Hanging Freshener Refill 15ml
If you land on the continuous side of what is left
SOSA Car Hanging Freshener Refill, 15ml
₹399 for Jasmine and Lemon, up to ₹449 for Sea Breeze, Vetiver and Oud. A 15ml refill costs less than a replacement 12ml unit and supplies more oil, which is the one real saving available here. It refills the hanging format only, and there is no published spray refill anywhere in the SOSA car range.
₹399
The finding this page is built on
A vent objection is three different objections in one sentence, and only one of them is actually about the format
The vent you want for air
The fitting you can see
The air at your face
Two questions that settle this, neither of which is about a brand
Which of the three vent objections is actually yours?
I want that vent for airI want a clean fasciaThe air arrives at my faceI am not sure yet
Would a two-second action happen before most of your journeys?
Yes, reliablySometimesNoI have never tried
I want that vent for air, and any answer
You need nothing yet. Move a fitting to an outboard vent for a week and see whether the objection survives - it is the only free experiment here.
Not a SOSA purchase
I want a clean fascia, and no
The continuous format, out of your eyeline. Jasmine is ₹449 for 12ml in the Hanging (Mild scent-throw) variant.
SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume ₹449
The air arrives at my face, and yes reliably
Then the spray format fits you, because you control the moment and nothing sits in the airflow. It is the same ₹449 bottle in SOSA's other published variant.
SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume ₹449
Any objection, and sometimes
Buy for the journeys where it would not happen rather than the ones where it would. A 15ml refill at ₹399 keeps the continuous format going without rebuying.
SOSA Car Hanging Freshener Refill 15ml ₹399
I am not sure yet, and any answer
You need nothing. Work out which objection is yours first, because two of the three end the question and one of them is solved for free.
Not a SOSA purchase
Not sure which of those lines is yours? Tell us what the vent objection actually is

When the answer would change

Five conditions would change what this page tells you, and not one of them is the name on anybody's packaging.

Side by side
What would have to be true for the answer to be something else
The condition What it actually means for the spend
The objection is one specific vent being blocked, not the format Then you have not ruled the format out at all. Most cars have four or more vents and the outer ones are rarely the ones you aim at yourself, so try a different vent before spending anything. SOSA makes nothing in that format, so we gain nothing by telling you this.
You want a clean fascia and that is the end of it Then the vent format is genuinely out and so is anything clipped anywhere visible. A hanging unit can go lower or out of sight, which is worth a week's trial before you buy.
SOSA Jasmine Car PerfumeYou will not reliably apply a spray before journeys Then the continuous format is the one left standing. Jasmine is ₹449 for 12ml and the mild hanging variant costs the same as the strong spray one.
You want it handled but not running when the car is empty That is control rather than placement, and none of the three formats in this question has a level of its own. That is a separate category with its own page.
Your actual complaint is the scent rather than where it sits Then this is a bottle decision dressed as a placement decision. A different scent is ₹449 to ₹509 and reversible; a format you resent is a year of small irritations.
Find your situation
Five readers who all said no to a vent and meant five different things
What you actually said What actually suits it
I want that vent for air and do not want it narrowed Try an outboard vent for a week first. Most cars have four or more and the outer ones are rarely the ones you aim at yourself, so this costs nothing and may end the question
I want a clean fascia and nothing clipped to it Then the vent format is genuinely out, and so is anything visible. A hanging unit can go lower or out of sight, which is worth trying before you spend
I have ruled the vent out and I will not remember to spray The continuous format. Jasmine at ₹449 for 12ml in the Hanging (Mild scent-throw) variant needs nobody present at all
SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume ₹449
I have ruled the vent out and I like choosing the moment Then the spray format is yours and it is the same ₹449 bottle in SOSA's other published variant. Nothing further needs buying
I only wanted to know which of the two brands is nicer Nobody here can tell you, because we have tested neither product. Judge the perfume yourself in your own car at minute twenty rather than in a shop at minute one
SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume
The one bottle that covers both formats you have left: SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume is ₹449 for 12ml, published as Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw) at that single price, so the remaining decision costs nothing.
Tell us what the vent objection actually is
SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume, 12ml - ₹449, published in both of the formats you have left at that one price: Spray (Strong scent-throw) or Hanging (Mild scent-throw). The hanging variant takes a 15ml refill at ₹399, less money than a new bottle and more oil. For a vent, SOSA has nothing to offer you and this line is not a substitute for one.
SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume ₹449
What to buy when the vent is off the table
SOSA makes nothing in the vent format, so this box answers the half of your question that is left
What SOSA makes for a vent Nothing. No clip, no fitting, no passive gel, no canister. If the vent format is what you want, SOSA is not in the running and is not offering a substitute
The usage the rest of this suits Anybody who has ruled the vent out and is now choosing between applying something themselves and having it run without them
Format Spray or hanging. A spray releases fragrance only when you decide to; a hanging unit releases continuously and cannot be switched off without being taken out
Level Hanging (Mild scent-throw) or Spray (Strong scent-throw) - SOSA's own two published options, at one price
Placement Not a vent. A hanging unit can sit lower or further back, and a spray is applied into the air of the cabin with the car parked
Scent Jasmine at ₹449 for 12ml. Any of the nine scents in the line works in either format at ₹449 to ₹509
What it costs to keep A 15ml refill at ₹399 for Jasmine, up to ₹449 for other scents, which is less money than a replacement unit and more oil. No published spray refill exists
What is not published No duration figure for the 12ml line in either variant, no coverage or cabin-size rating for any SOSA car product, and nothing at all verified about either product named in your search
Half of your question has no SOSA answer and you should hear that first, because it is the half a shop would normally bury. For the other half, one bottle at ₹449 is published in both of the formats you have left, so the remaining decision is about which mechanic you prefer and not about money. Work out which of the three vent objections is really yours before you buy anything at all.

Two pages take the branches this one closes. If you have not actually ruled the vent out and want the mechanics first, the page on whether AC usage should influence a vent format explains what a vent fitting's output actually tracks, and reaches no SOSA product at all. And if you have ruled out the spray as well as the vent, the page for somebody who dislikes both says what the third category is in published terms and what it does not come with.

SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house and is not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer or any other brand named by a reader.

Before you buy anything, find out which of the three vent objections is yours, because one of them has a free fix and the other two have already decided this for you. I am not going to rank the two products in your title: SOSA has tested neither, I hold no figures for either, and I will not call them equal as a way of sounding fair, because equivalence is a measurement too. And I will say the awkward part plainly - we make nothing for a vent, so on half your question I have nothing to sell you and no reason to argue either side of it.
If you try the outboard vent and the objection disappears, keep what you have and spend nothing. That is a perfectly good outcome and it is the one I would expect for about a third of the people reading this.
We do not make anything that clips to a vent, so when I tell you what a vent fitting does and does not do, there is nothing in it for me. That is the only reason it is worth reading.

SOSA makes no vent clip, no vent fitting and no passive gel or canister, so there is no specification to give for the vent half of this question. Two-scent combos are ₹899 for Jasmine and Lemon or Jasmine and Lavender and ₹949 for the Oud pairs. 15ml refills for the hanging format are ₹399 to ₹449, and Jasmine's is ₹399; a refill costs less than a replacement unit and supplies more oil. There is no published spray refill at all. No duration figure is published for the 12ml line in either variant: the only published dose and duration figures in the SOSA car range belong to Mysore Orange Blossom, described as 100 sprays lasting about three months in the 10ml at ₹549 and 500 sprays lasting about a year or more in the 50ml at ₹1,499, and those are not extended to any other scent, size or format. No coverage or cabin-size rating is published for any SOSA car product. A note from Sonal

This is the page where I have the least to gain and I think that makes it the most useful one in the family. Somebody writes in and says, quite firmly, that they do not want anything attached to their vents, and then asks which of two products they should buy. The firmness is the interesting part. It is a decision already taken, and most of the advice they will find online treats it as a preference to be argued with. It is not a preference. It is a constraint, and constraints are the most useful thing a customer can hand you, because they shorten the conversation.

So let me be straight about two things. The first is that we make nothing that goes on a vent. No clip, no fitting, no passive gel, nothing. If a vent fitting is what suits you, you are buying it from somebody who is not us, and I would rather write that sentence than steer you towards a bottle and call it an answer. The second is that I have not tested either of the products in your search. I hold no figures for either, I have not had them in my own car, and I will not tell you whose perfume is better or pretend they are equal, because both of those are measurements and I took neither. Their fragrances in particular are not mine to rank: scent is judged by a nose in the place the thing will be used.

What is left after your constraint is two formats, and we make the same bottle in both. SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume is ₹449 for 12ml, published as Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw) at that one price, so whichever of the two you land on, the price does not move. If you land on the continuous one, the 15ml refill at ₹399 to ₹449 is the thing to remember, because it costs less than a new bottle and holds more oil, and there is no published spray refill in our range at all. We publish no coverage rating for any car product, no duration figure for the 12ml line, and no running cost or warranty for Safar. Free shipping above ₹499, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked

Which should I choose if I do not want anything attached to my AC vents: Ambi Pur or an Involve spray?
You have ruled out a format rather than a brand, and SOSA will not rank the two products in any case, because we have tested neither and hold no verified figure for either. What your constraint leaves is a spray, which releases fragrance only when a person decides to, or a hanging unit, which runs continuously and cannot be turned down. Choose between those two on effort: count the journeys you make and ask whether a two-second action would really happen before each one.
Does SOSA make a vent clip or a vent-mounted car fragrance?
No. SOSA makes no vent clip, no vent fitting and no passive gel or canister of any kind, so on the vent half of this question SOSA is not in the running and nothing in the range is offered as a substitute. If a vent fitting is genuinely what suits you, you will be buying it from somebody else. What SOSA does make is the spray and hanging formats: the 12ml car perfumes at Rs 449 to Rs 509, published in two variants at one price each.
Is there a reason not to want something on a vent?
There are three different reasons people give, and only one of them is about the format. If you want that vent for air and do not want it narrowed, most cars have four or more vents and an outboard one is rarely the one you aim at yourself, so relocation is free. If you want a clean fascia, no relocation helps, because every vent is in view. If your objection is to the air arriving at your face carrying it, no vent on the car solves that. Two of the three really do rule the format out.
What does SOSA charge for the two formats that are left?
The 12ml car perfumes are published in two variants at one price each: Jasmine Rs 449, Lavender and Sandalwood Rs 479, Icy Mint Rs 489, Lemon Rs 499, and Vetiver, Sea Breeze and Oud Rs 509. The two variants are Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw), so the format is a free choice rather than an upgrade tier. The hanging format takes a 15ml refill at Rs 399 to Rs 449, which costs less than a replacement unit and holds more oil. There is no published spray refill.
How long will a SOSA bottle last in the car?
SOSA publishes no duration figure for the 12ml line in either variant, so no honest number can be given here. The only published dose and duration figures in the SOSA car range belong to Mysore Orange Blossom, described as 100 sprays lasting about three months in the 10ml at Rs 549 and 500 sprays lasting about a year or more in the 50ml at Rs 1,499, and those are not extended to any other scent, size or format. No coverage or cabin-size rating is published for any SOSA car product.

And the saving on the continuous side: A 15ml hanging refill is ₹399 to ₹449, less money than a replacement 12ml bottle and more oil, while no published SOSA spray refill exists at all.

SOSA — Car Fragrance for the driver who has already ruled something out
Not wanting anything on your vents rules out a format rather than a brand, and SOSA makes no vent clip or vent fitting of any kind, so SOSA is not in the running on that side at all. What is left is spray or hanging, and SOSA Jasmine Car Perfume is ₹449 for 12ml in both of those published variants - Spray (Strong scent-throw) or Hanging (Mild scent-throw) - with a 15ml refill at ₹399 for the hanging one. SOSA has tested neither of the products named in the title and will not rank them in either direction. No coverage rating, no duration figure for the 12ml line, and no running cost or warranty for the device range. Free shipping above ₹499, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. The products named are SOSA's own; the method - decide from how many hours you actually spend in the cabin and what you dislike about your current setup, never from what the car cost - applies whatever brand you buy.

Facts verified against the live SOSA product pages, 6 October 2026: every SOSA 12ml car perfume is sold in two variants at the same price, described by SOSA as Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw): Jasmine ₹449, Lavender and Sandalwood ₹479, Icy Mint ₹489, Lemon ₹499, Vetiver, Sea Breeze and Oud ₹509, with a 50ml car perfume spray at ₹1,499. Spray is not an upgrade tier - the two formats cost the same on every scent. 15ml refills for the hanging bottles are ₹399 to ₹449, so a refill costs less than a new unit and supplies more oil; there is no published spray refill at all. Mysore Orange Blossom is spray-only and the only SOSA car fragrance with published dose and duration figures - 10ml described as 100 sprays lasting about three months (₹549) and 50ml as 500 sprays lasting about a year or more (₹1,499) - and those figures are not extended to any other scent, size or format. SOSA Safar is a waterless, cordless, rechargeable car and travel perfume diffuser supplied as a three-scent set, in six variants at ₹3,999 for the three house trios and ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios, with three published speed settings, an auto shut-off timer of one, two or three hours, up to ten hours continuous or about thirty hours intermittent per charge from a 2000 mAh Type-C battery, a 20ml bottle and a body of about nine centimetres that fits a cup-holder. It is refillable from the waterless nebuliser refill range at ₹1,049 per 100gm and ₹1,849 per 300gm. No coverage or cabin-size rating is published for any SOSA car product, no duration figure is published for the hanging bottles or for Safar, and no oil-consumption rate, device lifespan, warranty or battery-life figure is published for Safar - so this page costs the bottle-and-refill side from published prices and states plainly that the device side cannot be costed per year, rather than estimating it. The car perfumes are sold by volume and the waterless refills by weight, so no cost per millilitre exists across the two systems and none is invented here. Safar is never presented as the cheaper option. Where another brand is named on these pages it is named only as the product a reader already uses: SOSA has verified no price, pack size, refill interval, longevity figure or performance characteristic for any other company's product, so none is stated, no comparative quality judgement is made in either direction, and the comparison is between fragrance FORMATS - a manually applied spray, a hanging unit, a vent-mounted freshener and a waterless device - rather than between brands. SOSA is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or licensed by any other brand named by a reader. No warranty, returns window, battery-life or device-lifespan figure is published for Safar either, so none is given and a reader who wants that should ask before buying. No claim is made about what any passenger, client or guest thinks of a car, and nothing here links what a vehicle cost to what its cabin should smell like. Nothing here is financial advice, and SOSA publishes no proportion of income or of vehicle value that anybody should spend on fragrance. Fragrance never removes, neutralises or absorbs an odour: a persistent cabin smell is a cleaning, drying or servicing matter, and SOSA sells no cleaner, deodoriser, purifier, cabin-filter product or detailing service. Nothing here is medical advice and no health, air-quality or wellbeing claim is made. Fragrance oil is flammable: keep it out of direct sun on a dashboard and apply it with the car parked. Free shipping above ₹499 is the only logistics fact stated, and nothing is claimed about delivery timing. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
