You have a launch gallery on one site, a running experience centre on another, and a sample flat handing over on a third. The instinct to make them all smell the same is right for some of those rooms and wrong for others, and the line between them is not where most developers draw it.
Quick answers — read this first
Should a developer use one signature scent across every project? In the developer's own rooms, yes. Your sales galleries and experience centres stand for your company rather than for any particular flat, and a family in Raipur may well see two of your sites in one weekend. Those rooms should carry one register, for the same reason they carry one paint code and one signage system. The part people miss is that consistency has to be written down to survive. A register that exists only in somebody's memory becomes three different smells by the third project, because three different people bought three different things locally.

Do the sample flats carry the developer signature too? No, and this is the one place I would break the rule on purpose. A sample flat is not representing your company; it is pretending to be one particular home, and a family walks straight from your gallery into it. If both carry the same signature at the same strength, the flat reads as an extension of the showroom. Keep the register if you like, drop the level, and accept that most rooms in a show flat should carry nothing. A sample flat should smell like a well-kept home, and that is not a claim about how the finished home will smell or about what a buyer decides.

How do you stop the signature drifting between sites? Write it into the fit-out standard, in the same folder as the paint code, the signage spec and the furniture list. One page is enough: the register named, the item named, the mounting position and height, the run window, the intensity setting, who fills it and how often, and a line saying nobody at site level changes any of it. Drift is almost never disagreement. It is a site manager buying something locally on a Friday because the gallery opens on Saturday and nobody told him what it was supposed to be.
The short answer
Short answer: Yes in your own rooms — every sales gallery and experience centre should carry the same register, because those are the developer's rooms. Put it in the fit-out standard so it survives the third project. The sample flats are a separate question: each one is pretending to be a particular home, so keep the register but drop the level and specify by connected volume.
The pick: One register across every gallery: SOSA Mountain Breeze at ₹849 where the room is small, and the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 where a gallery is genuinely one large connected volume.
Next step: Send the list of sites with the gallery size against each and we will draft the one-page standard with you. Ask for a Raipur scenting plan.
One register, written down, every siteYour galleries are your rooms: keep them alikeA signature nobody wrote down will driftOne page: register, level, hours, who fills itSame scent, different specification per siteSample flats are not a branding surface
The hardware changes from site to site because the rooms do. The register and the level are what a family carries from one gallery to the next.
Straight answer
Should every project a Raipur developer runs carry the same signature scent, or not?
Split the estate into two kinds of room and the answer stops being difficult. The first kind is yours. The sales gallery, the site office, the experience centre and the discussion lounge stand for your company rather than for any particular flat, and a family may well see two of them in one weekend, because they are shortlisting your launch against your own running project a few kilometres away. Those rooms should carry one register, held at a similar level, for the same reason they carry one paint code and one signage system. I would go further: the register should outlive the project. A developer who changes scent with every launch has a mood board, not a signature. The second kind of room is not yours. A sample flat is pretending to be one particular home, and the moment it carries the gallery's signature at the gallery's level it stops being a home and becomes a second showroom. Keep the register if you want the two rooms to feel related — that is a reasonable choice — but drop the level hard, air the flat properly first, and accept that most rooms in it should carry nothing at all. A sample flat should smell like a well-kept home, and that is not a claim about how the finished home will smell or about what any buyer decides. Then the part that actually makes this work: write it down. Consistency does not fail because people disagree about it. It fails because a gallery opens on a Saturday, the site manager is told on Friday that the room smells of nothing, and he buys whatever the nearest shop has. Put one page in the fit-out standard beside the paint code: the register named, the item named, the mounting position and height, the run window, the intensity setting, who fills it and at what interval, and a line saying site teams do not change any of this. And keep hardware out of the standard. A three-hundred-square-foot launch gallery in a temporary structure and a connected experience centre are the same scent specified two different ways — a reed at ₹849 in one, a wall-mounted machine at ₹11,999 in the other. If you want that page drafted against your own site list, ask us for a Raipur scenting plan.
Your galleries are your rooms and should match. Your sample flats are pretending to be homes and should not. Write the standard down or it will drift.
Where a gallery, model area and lounge form roughly 1,500 sq ft and up of one connected volume, that site's specification is a single SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999, wall mounted in moving air, with the run window and intensity taken from the standard rather than from whoever opens up.

What to actually buy, by volume

Said plainly: standardising the register does not mean standardising the purchase order. Most launch galleries in Raipur are one room of three to five hundred square feet, and in those a reed at ₹849 is the correct specification rather than a cheap version of one. Buy the machine only on the sites whose connected volume asks for it, and keep the scent identical across both.

Three decisions, in order

Three decisions, and only one of them is about fragrance.

1
First, which rooms are yours
A gallery stands for the company; a sample flat stands for a flat
Go through your sites and mark each room one of two ways. Does this room stand for the developer, or for one particular home? Reception, gallery, model area, discussion lounge, site office and the corridor between them are all the first kind, and they should match across every project you run, in the same way your signage does. The sample flat is the second kind, and so is a furnished handover unit. That distinction, rather than project tier or ticket size, is what decides whether a room carries your signature. It also settles arguments quickly, because it is a question about what the room is for rather than about what anybody likes.
Tip: If a family can walk from one into the other in under a minute, the difference in level between them should be obvious to you standing in the doorway.
2
Second, write the standard
One page, in the same folder as the paint code
This is the whole difference between a signature and an intention. Write a single page and put it wherever your fit-out standards live: the register named in plain words, the exact item, the mounting position and height, the run window in hours, the intensity setting, who fills it and at what interval, and one line saying site teams do not change it. Add a photograph of a correctly mounted unit, because a photograph settles more arguments than the text does. Every developer I have talked to about drift describes the same Friday afternoon: a gallery opening tomorrow, a manager who has been told the room smells of nothing, and the nearest shop. A written page is what he reaches for instead.
SOSA Mountain Breeze Reed Diffuser
Same register in every gallery, whatever the room size turns out to be.

3
Third, specify each site separately
Same scent, different equipment, and that is not inconsistency
Consistency belongs to the register and the level, not to the purchase order, and confusing the two is how developers end up with a machine in a room that needed a reed. A launch gallery in a temporary structure of three hundred square feet takes a reed and nothing else. A running experience centre where reception, model area and lounge form one connected volume of fifteen hundred square feet and up takes one wall-mounted machine, placed in moving air, run window matched to opening hours and the intensity key-locked. Both smell the same to a family who visits both. And a double-height gallery reaches the machine's territory at far less floor area than you expect, so size from the section rather than the plan.
The SOSA principle
A signature that lives only in somebody's memory is not a signature. It is three different smells with the same name written on them.
The written page costs an afternoon, and it is the only reason the fourth gallery still smells the way the first one did.
SOSA Mountain Breeze Reed Diffuser
The register, everywhere: Mountain Breeze — Himalayan pine, sage and cedar. Dry, unsweet, ungendered, and identical from your first gallery to your fourth. From ₹849.

The one-page standard

The standard, written out as the page I would actually hand to a site team.

The SOSA plan
What goes in the fit-out standard
Line What it says
SOSA Mountain Breeze Reed DiffuserRegister
Named in plain words, identical across every gallery and site office, and not changed for a new launch.
Specification
Decided site by site on connected volume. A reed in a small launch gallery, a wall-mounted machine in a large connected centre.
Position and level
The wall, the mount height, the run window and the intensity setting — written down and key-locked, not left to whoever opens up.
Sample flats
Excluded from the signature. Aired properly, one quiet reed near the entrance at most, and most rooms carrying nothing.

The exception inside all of this is set out in gallery and sample flat: one signature or two, and specifying each site by the air rather than the tier is covered in villa or apartment: it is the volume that differs. SOSA is an independent Indian brand; the hotel-inspired scents are our own original interpretations, and no company named anywhere on this site is a SOSA customer or partner.

SOSA Fresh & Grounded Reed Duo
Two rooms on one site: The reed duo — Morning Freshness and Mountain Breeze, one register per room rather than one bottle reaching through a doorway. ₹1,548 for two 50ml.

A developer who changes the scent with every launch does not have a signature. They have a mood board, and a family who visits two sites can tell.

The SOSA specification

One register, bought in whichever form each site's air actually needs, which is usually smaller than the site expects. Standardise the scent and the level, and let the equipment follow the room. Everything is made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

SOSA Fresh & Grounded Reed Duo A site office and a separate discussion room Two registers, one per room, rather than one bottle trying to reach through a doorway. ₹1,548 for two 50ml, ₹2,548 for two 130ml. ₹1,548

SOSA Vaayu An experience centre of roughly 1,500 sq ft and up of connected volume Waterless, wall or HVAC mounted in moving air, run window matched to opening hours, intensity low and key-locked so the written level is the level actually running. ₹11,999. ₹11,999

SOSA Angaan A flagship centre whose connected volume runs past one Vaayu 3,000m³, roughly 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft, metal body, programmable, under 42dB. Specified on volume alone, never because it is the flagship. ₹25,999. ₹25,999
View →
Two limits worth stating on a multi-site plan. There is no SOSA refill product for the Vaayu at present, so treat the fill as part of the purchase conversation rather than assuming a cartridge is waiting at each site. And a second unit belongs to a second volume of air — another floor, a closed lounge on its own AC — never to a second corner of the same gallery, where two sources make competing gradients instead of combined coverage. Coverage is volumetric, so a double-height gallery reaches the machine's territory at much less floor area than a flat-ceilinged one.

A note from Sonal

The question I am usually asked is whether one scent can work across four very different sites, and my honest answer is that the scent is the easy part. What breaks is the written record. I have yet to meet a developer whose galleries drifted because somebody disagreed with the register. They drifted because a room had to open on a Saturday, nobody could say what it was meant to smell of, and somebody solved it locally.

So I would spend the afternoon on the page rather than on the fragrance. Name the register in plain words. Name the item. Give the wall, the mount height, the hours and the intensity setting. Say who fills it and how often. Put a photograph of a correct installation beside the text, because a photograph settles arguments that a paragraph does not. Keep it in the same folder as your paint code and it will still be right on the fourth project.

And keep the sample flats out of it: that room is pretending to be a home, which is a lower and plainer idea. All of this is an ambience decision about the standard of your own rooms and not a claim that it changes what a family decides about a home, nor anything therapeutic or medical, and it never masks a smell that has a source. Your staff's judgement on the level outranks mine. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

Should every project use the same signature scent?
In the rooms that belong to the developer, yes. Sales galleries, site offices and experience centres stand for your company rather than for any particular flat, and a family may see two of your sites in one weekend. Use one register across all of them, for the same reason you use one paint code and one signage system. The sample flats are the exception, and a deliberate one.
How do we stop the scent drifting between sites?
Write it down. One page in the same folder as the fit-out standards: the register named in plain words, the item, the mounting position and height, the run window, the intensity setting, who fills it and how often, and a line saying site teams do not change it. Drift is almost never disagreement; it is a manager solving a Friday problem locally.
Does consistency mean buying the same machine everywhere?
No, and that confusion is expensive. Consistency belongs to the register and the level, not to the purchase order. A launch gallery of three hundred square feet takes a reed at Rs 849 and nothing more. A connected experience centre of fifteen hundred square feet and up takes one wall-mounted machine at Rs 11,999. Both smell the same to a family who visits both.
Should the sample flats carry the developer signature?
No. A sample flat is pretending to be one particular home rather than standing for your company, and at gallery level it reads as a second showroom. Keep the register if you like, drop the level hard, air the flat properly first, and leave most rooms carrying nothing. A sample flat should smell like a well-kept home, and that is not a claim about how the finished home will smell or about what a buyer decides.
Should a new launch get a new fragrance?
I would not. A register that changes with every launch is not a signature, and the whole value of consistency is that it survives more than one project. If the new project is a genuinely separate brand with its own identity, that is a different discussion. Within one developer name, keep the register and let the interiors carry whatever is new about the project.

Facts verified 16 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Mountain Breeze reed diffuser (Himalayan pine, sage and cedar) is ₹849 in 50ml and ₹1,349 in 130ml. the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with adjustable intensity, a 400ml refillable tank lasting up to about 75 days depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, operation under 38dB, DC 12V/1A at 5W, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment. the SOSA Fresh & Grounded reed duo pairs Morning Freshness with Mountain Breeze at ₹1,548 for 2 x 50ml and ₹2,548 for 2 x 130ml. Ambient fragrance is an interior and brand decision only. SOSA makes no claim that scent influences a customer's decision, sales, enquiries, footfall, trust, credibility, referrals or any clinical or patient outcome, and no claim that any product removes, neutralises, eliminates or absorbs an odour, or that it cleans, purifies or disinfects air.
