On a genuinely connected floor - an open living-dining-kitchen area, a single-storey villa's main space, any room where the air moves as one volume - the honest answer is one correctly sized machine, not several small ones. Here is why the instinct to spread several diffusers through a large room works against itself. Uneven coverage first. Each small diffuser creates its own localised concentration close to where it sits.
