This is one of the few comparisons in the whole cluster where I do not think the answer is close. Two Sukoons at ₹3,798 beats one machine with five bottles, and it is not a matter of budget. A 2BHK's problem is architectural rather than aesthetic: you have three doors and one machine can only ever stand behind one of them. Variety solves a problem this flat does not have.
Quick answers — read this first
The verdict: two Sukoons — ₹3,798. A 2BHK is partitioned, so the constraint is doors rather than variety.

Why not one machine and many scents: the rooms without the machine smell of nothing, and a machine carried between rooms is a chore almost everybody abandons.

The exception: a studio or any single-room home, where one machine and several bottles is exactly the right arrangement.
The short answer
Short answer: two Sukoons. Two machines at ₹1,899 each — ₹3,798 — scent the living/dining and the master bedroom at the same time and give you a change at the bedroom door. One machine with several fragrances scents whichever room it is standing in and leaves the others exactly as they were, because a closed door stops fragrance long before distance does.
The pick: two Sukoons, arriving with six 15ml Hotel Collection bottles between them, three per machine. One machine plus two extra 15ml bottles is ₹2,497 and still leaves two of your three rooms unscented. The genuine exception is a single-room home — a studio — where one machine and several bottles is the correct arrangement.
Shop: the Sukoon (₹1,899), the Hotel Collection from ₹299, the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 and 300ml refills at ₹1,799.
Straight answer
Is one Sukoon with multiple fragrances better than two Sukoons in a 2BHK?
1. Two Sukoons — ₹3,798. One in the living/dining and one in the master bedroom, each covering 270–320 sq ft. That is the arrangement I would give any 2BHK, and the second machine changes the flat more than the first one did, because it is the purchase that turns a scented room into a scented home.

2. The constraint in this flat is doors, not variety. A 2BHK holds three enclosed air masses and fragrance is stopped by a closed door long before it is exhausted by distance. Owning five bottles does not help a bedroom that has no machine in it — the bedroom smells of nothing whichever bottle is in the tank.

3. A machine carried between rooms is a chore people abandon. It works beautifully for about a fortnight. Then it is carried on some evenings and not others, then it lives permanently in whichever room somebody last used it in, and the flat is back to one scented room with an extra step in it.

4. Multiple fragrances in one tank is also slower than it sounds. Changing scent properly means emptying and rinsing the tank and letting it dry, so it is a weekend job rather than a whim. Two machines let two scents run at once, permanently, with no swapping at all.

5. One machine and several bottles is right — in a single-room home. In a studio there is one air mass, the second machine has nowhere to go, and variety genuinely is the only axis left. Six 15ml Hotel Collection bottles arrive with two Sukoons at ₹3,798, so in a 2BHK you get both anyway.

A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
TL;DR: two Sukoons at ₹3,798. A 2BHK's constraint is doors rather than variety, a carried machine is a chore almost everybody abandons by the third week, and six 15ml bottles arrive with two machines anyway. One machine with many scents is the right answer only in a single-room home.
Two Sukoons
Two machines, two rooms, one threshold
Two Sukoons ₹3,798
The living/dining and the master bedroom are the two rooms that hold most of an ordinary day in an Indian 2BHK, and one Sukoon each is the point at which a flat stops being a scented room and starts being a scented home. ₹1,899 each, 270–320 sq ft each, and six 15ml Hotel Collection bottles arrive between them — three with each machine, chosen by you. That is both halves of the pairing on this page, included, with four bottles left over for the seasons.

What you are actually choosing between

The comparison is usually framed as depth against breadth — one good machine used cleverly, or two machines used plainly — and framed that way it sounds like a close call about taste and budget. It is not, because the two options are not solving the same problem. One of them adds fragrances to a flat that already has one scented room. The other adds a scented room. In a home with three internal doors those are very different purchases, and only one of them changes what it is like to walk through the place.

1
THE PROBLEM IS DOORS
Not variety, and not the strength of any bottle
A typical Indian 2BHK runs 900–1,200 sq ft and almost none of that figure matters. What matters is that the flat contains three rooms with doors you close and then sit or sleep behind: a 250–350 sq ft living/dining, a 120–160 sq ft master bedroom and a 100–130 sq ft second bedroom. One Sukoon covers 270–320 sq ft of connected air, which is one of those rooms — and a partition is a wall no ultrasonic diffuser at any price will cross. Adding a fifth fragrance to a flat with one machine gives you five ways for one room to smell and no way at all for the other two. That is the whole argument, and everything else on this page is a footnote to it.
2
THE CARRIED MACHINE
It works for a fortnight, and then it does not
The plan is always the same and it is always sincere: living room in the evening, bedroom before bed, one machine, no waste. I have watched a lot of households try it and I have tried it myself. What happens is that the carrying survives about two weeks of enthusiasm, then it becomes conditional — you do it when you remember, or when guests are coming — and by the second month the machine lives permanently wherever it was last put down. There is also the practical friction nobody accounts for: a 500ml tank is heavy when full, it has water in it, and the sensible way to move it is empty rather than sloshing. A routine that requires you to be a slightly better person every evening is not a routine.
The honest test: if you already own one machine, try carrying it for three weeks before spending anything. Almost everybody who does this arrives at the second Sukoon on their own, and they arrive at it certain rather than persuaded.
3
WHAT MANY BOTTLES ACTUALLY GIVES YOU
Variety inside one room, which is the axis you least need
Suppose you do it properly: one machine, five 15ml bottles, and a genuine willingness to change scent. Changing a fragrance in an ultrasonic tank is not a matter of topping it up — you empty it, rinse it and let it dry, or the two scents blur into something neither of them was. That makes a change a small piece of housekeeping rather than a whim, so in practice it happens perhaps monthly. A monthly change of atmosphere in one room is a nice thing. It is simply worth much less than a permanent change at a doorway, which is what the second machine buys and which happens every single time you walk to bed.

Head to head, across an ordinary week

Six arrangements a 2BHK household might actually adopt, with what each one costs and what it does on a Tuesday rather than on the day it arrives. Every price below is built from the listed ones — a Sukoon at ₹1,899, a 15ml at ₹299, a reed diffuser from ₹749 — and the interesting column is the third one.

One machine or two
Six arrangements, what they cost and what they do
The setup What it costs What actually happens Verdict
One Sukoon, three included scents ₹1,899 The living room is properly scented and both bedrooms are exactly as they were The starting point, and a perfectly good one — but not the answer for a three-room flat
Two Sukoons, six included scents ★ ₹3,798 Living/dining and master bedroom scented at the same time, with a change at the door you cross every night The answer for a 2BHK. The second machine changes the flat more than the first one did
One Sukoon plus two extra 15ml bottles ₹2,497 Five ways for one room to smell, and two rooms that still smell of nothing Variety solving a problem this flat does not have
One Sukoon carried between rooms ₹1,899 Works for a fortnight, becomes conditional in the third week, stops by the second month The plan almost everybody tries. Very few are still doing it at Diwali
One Sukoon plus a reed diffuser in the second room from ₹2,648 One room properly scented and one room quietly looked after, with no socket and no routine The best answer under ₹3,000, and an honest place to pause rather than stop
Three Sukoons, nine included scents ₹5,697 Every enclosed room has its own air, its own bottle and its own timer The complete answer, and the right target if the second bedroom is genuinely used

The machine, the bottles it comes with, and the small one for the bathroom
The SOSA principle
Fragrance is stopped by doors, not by distance. Which is why the second machine beats the fifth bottle in every partitioned flat.
One Sukoon with five scents gives one room five moods. Two Sukoons give the whole flat a threshold, and a threshold is what you notice.

The one home where the other answer wins

I want to be fair to the argument I have just spent a page dismantling, because in one kind of home it is straightforwardly correct. A studio or any single-room home has one air mass. There is no second door to put a machine behind, a second unit would be scenting air the first one already reaches, and the only axis left to you is time — this fragrance now, that one next month, something brighter when the weather changes. In that home, one Sukoon and several Hotel Collection bottles is not a compromise, it is the design. It is exactly what I would tell somebody in a studio to buy, and the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 is the natural companion to it rather than an indulgence.

The line between the two answers is not square footage, it is partitions. A 700 sq ft loft with no internal doors is one machine and many bottles; a 700 sq ft 2BHK is two machines. This is the mistake I see most often in the questions I get sent — people size their setup from the total area on the sale agreement, which is the one number that has almost nothing to do with it. Count the doors you close and then live behind, and buy that many machines. In a 2BHK the count is three, and two is the honest minimum if the second bedroom is genuinely storage with a mattress in it.

There is also a version of this question that deserves a straight answer about money. If ₹3,798 is more than this month allows, the right move is not to buy one machine and console yourself with bottles — it is to buy one machine now and the second one later, because nothing you buy first is superseded. The second Sukoon is the identical unit at the identical ₹1,899, every bottle fits every tank, and a 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799 bought today serves a machine you have not bought yet. In the meantime, a reed diffuser from ₹749 in the bedroom keeps the room from feeling forgotten for a fraction of what a second machine costs. That is a staged version of the right answer rather than a different answer, and it ends in the same place.

A routine that asks you to be a slightly better person every evening is not a routine. It is a plan you will stop following in about a fortnight.

The SOSA 2BHK edit

The decision as a shopping list, with the second machine at the top because that is where the money does the most work in this particular flat. The bottles matter enormously — they simply do not fix a room with no machine in it.

The SOSA 2BHK edit
Machines first in this flat, bottles immediately after
Buy What it does When it earns its place Price
1. Two Sukoons ★ 500ml each, 270–320 sq ft each, 16–18 hours on low, remote and steady/2H/4H timers — the living/dining and the master bedroom, with six 15ml Hotel Collection bottles between them Immediately. This is the minimum that reads as a scented flat rather than a scented room ₹3,798
2. A third Sukoon The second bedroom, permanently — nine 15ml bottles across the flat, ₹5,697 in total When somebody genuinely sleeps, studies or works in there ₹1,899
3. 300ml refill Your everyday scent across both tanks at about ₹6 per ml, so you never ration it After a month, once one of the six included bottles has won ₹1,799
4. Reed diffuser The second room while it waits for a machine — no socket, no routine, no timer If the second machine has to wait a month or two from ₹749
5. Pack of 7 × 15ml All seven scents at about ₹257 a bottle, for testing rooms a fortnight at a time Once both rooms have a machine and you want to place the scents properly ₹1,799
Not this: one machine and five bottles Five moods for one room, and no fragrance at all in the other two Only in a single-room home, where it is genuinely the right design ₹2,497
Honest notes for buyers: the Sukoon covers 270–320 sq ft, which is why a studio needs exactly one and a 3BHK needs three or a Vaayu instead. Ultrasonic diffusers are water-based and add a little humidity to the room, which is a benefit in an AC-dry home and a consideration in a damp coastal one; they run SOSA's own water-based Hotel Collection fragrance and nothing else, because thicker essential and carrier oils clog the 2.4MHz misting plate. The Vaayu and the HVAC systems are waterless nebulisers running undiluted oil — a different technology, not a bigger Sukoon, and the better choice for long daily runs across connected space. Fragrance layers on top of clean air; it does not replace an extractor fan, an open window or a bin that gets emptied. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
SOSA Sukoon
The machine underneath all of this
SOSA Sukoon ₹1,899
A 500ml tank covering 270–320 sq ft — one enclosed room of a 2BHK, comfortably. 16–18 hours per fill on low and 9–12 on high, 30–50 ml/h of 2.4MHz cool mist, a remote and steady/2H/4H timers so a bedroom unit stops itself long before the middle of the night, BPA-free ABS with auto shut-off, about 17cm tall. It arrives with three 15ml Hotel Collection scents of your choice, which is why the first three bottles of any wardrobe cost nothing at all.

A note from Sonal

I have a slight vested interest in telling you to buy two machines, so let me argue against myself first. If you live in one room, buying a second Sukoon is a waste of ₹1,899 and I will say so plainly — the second machine would be scenting air the first one already reaches, and the money belongs in bottles. That is not a grudging concession; it is the advice I give studio customers every week, and it is why the Pack of 7 exists at the price it does.

But a 2BHK is a different building. You are not short of fragrance in this flat, you are short of rooms with a machine in them, and no number of bottles fixes that. The test I would offer anybody hesitating is the carrying test: take the machine you own back and forth for three weeks and see whether you are still doing it on the twenty-first evening. Almost nobody is, and the people who try it come back and buy the second unit without needing me to say anything. Six 15ml bottles arrive with two machines anyway, so you end up with the variety as well — you simply get it in two rooms instead of one.

Everything is made and supported from Pune, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. You get a home that smells like somewhere you chose; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.

Frequently asked questions

Is one Sukoon with several fragrances better than two Sukoons in a 2BHK?
No. Two Sukoons at ₹3,798 is the better arrangement, because a 2BHK's constraint is doors rather than variety — a closed door stops fragrance completely, so extra bottles do nothing for a room with no machine in it. Six 15ml Hotel Collection bottles arrive with two machines anyway.
Can I just move one diffuser between rooms?
You can, and most people stop within a month. A full 500ml tank is heavy, it needs emptying before it is carried, and the routine tends to survive about a fortnight of enthusiasm before the machine settles permanently in whichever room it was last used in.
How do I change the fragrance in a Sukoon?
Empty the tank, rinse it and let it dry before adding a different scent, otherwise the two blur into something neither of them was. That makes changing fragrance a small piece of housekeeping rather than a whim, which is another reason two machines beats one machine and many bottles.
When is one machine with many fragrances the right answer?
In a single-room home. A studio or an open-plan home with no internal doors has one air mass, so a second machine has nowhere to go and variety over time is the only axis left. There, one Sukoon and the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 is exactly right.
What if I cannot afford two Sukoons right now?
Buy one now and the second later — nothing is superseded, the second machine is the same unit at the same ₹1,899, and every bottle fits every tank. In the meantime a reed diffuser from ₹749 keeps the second room from feeling forgotten, which is the best answer under ₹3,000.
Machines or bottles
Two Sukoons, ₹3,798 — because a 2BHK is short of rooms with a machine in them, not of fragrance
Each machine covers 270–320 sq ft and arrives with three 15ml Hotel Collection scents of your choice, so two units bring six bottles between them and you get the variety as well as the second room. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
