People expect me to say "reapply every few hours", and I never do. With a real attar the honest answer is usually once: a single dab in the middle of the day, or right before the evening. Let me explain the routine and the one product I would carry for it.
Typically once, a single dab of Adaa (₹379 for the 3ml roll-on) around mid-day or before an evening plan. Only a very long day needs a second small top-up.
Why once is usually enough
An attar is concentrated oil with no alcohol, so it does not flash off your skin the way a spray does. It bonds and releases slowly, which is why a good one realistically lasts 8 to 10 hours or more. That changes the whole question. You are not fighting a fragrance that keeps vanishing; you are simply giving it a small lift when it naturally softens.
There is also something worth knowing about your own nose: it stops noticing a scent you have been wearing for hours long before other people do. This is called olfactory adaptation. So the moment you think "it's gone" is often the moment it is still perfectly present to everyone around you. That is another reason not to over-apply.

| Time | What to do |
|---|---|
| Morning | One or two dabs to pulse points, as normal |
| Early-to-late afternoon | One dab when you notice it has quietened |
| Before an evening plan | Optional single dab so you walk in fresh |
| Very long day (into late night) | At most one more small top-up |
That is it. For an ordinary work day, the afternoon dab alone is usually all you need. The "before evening" dab is a choice, not a rescue: it just feels nice to freshen up before dinner or drinks.
Use less than you think
The single biggest mistake with attar is using too much. It is oil, so one dab really is a dab, not a drench. More product does not make it last longer, it only makes it sit heavier and, briefly, louder. Roll a little onto clean inner wrists, press gently, and stop. And do not rub your wrists together hard: that heat burns off the bright top notes and shortens the wear.
Two things to carry
For men, or for anyone who wants a richer, more "expensive" evening character, carry Nawaab, our white royal oud attar, at ₹399 for 3ml. And if you would rather a top-up that can never leak, a 15g solid perfume tin like Sway at ₹459 is a flat, unbreakable balm you swipe on with a finger, the tidiest option for a bag.
