A thousand square feet is where a single machine reaches its comfortable ceiling. The honest answer is one Vaayu if the floor is open and single-zone, or one Vaayu plus a corner unit — occasionally two — once partitions and demo rooms enter the picture.
Quick answers — read this first
How many diffusers for 1,000 sq ft? Usually one Vaayu for an open floor — ~280m³ at a 10ft ceiling sits inside its rating. Add a corner unit or a second Vaayu if the space is partitioned or tall.

When do I need two? When you have a walled demo room, a listening booth or a raised ceiling. Scent does not turn corners, so each sealed zone wants its own trace.

Budget option at this size? Two Sukoon units (₹1,799 each) can cover an open 1,000 sq ft room, but you accept daily water top-ups and keep them clear of open stock.
The short answer
Short answer: One SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) covers an open 1,000 sq ft electronics store — about 280m³ at a standard ceiling, near the middle of its range — but a partitioned layout with a demo room or a raised ceiling is better served by one Vaayu plus a Boond corner unit, or occasionally two Vaayus on separate zones.
The pick: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) for showrooms - waterless, so it adds no humidity near your stock, with app scheduling that maps to trading hours. Small stores from ₹1,799; ducted showrooms from ₹25,999.
SOSA Vaayu waterless cold-air scent diffuser - the showroom standard, ₹11,999 The showroom standard SOSA Vaayu - waterless cold-air, app-scheduled around trading hours, up to 1000m³ See the Vaayu · ₹11,999
Straight answer
How many diffusers does a 1,000 sq ft electronics store need?
1. Start with one Vaayu. An open 1,000 sq ft floor is ~280m³ — a single Vaayu handles it at a moderate setting.

2. Map your zones. Count sealed spaces: a demo room, a listening booth, a first-floor section. Each is a candidate for its own trace.

3. Add a corner unit for one dead zone. A single walled nook takes a Boond (₹799) rather than a whole second machine.

4. Go to two Vaayus for two real zones. A genuinely split floor — two open areas of similar size — runs cleaner on two units, each scheduled independently.

5. Consider ducting if it is tall or growing. A double-height 1,000 sq ft showroom, or one about to expand, may justify the Aangan.

Made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: one Vaayu (₹11,999) for an open 1,000 sq ft floor; add a Boond (₹799) per sealed corner, or a second Vaayu for a truly split layout.

Why 1,000 sq ft is the one-or-one-plus threshold

1
THE OPEN CASE
One Vaayu, moderate setting
Vaayu - scheduled Vaayu · scheduled₹11,999 An open 1,000 sq ft floor with a normal ceiling is around 280m³. That is squarely inside a single Vaayu's 1000m³ rating — not at the edge, not straining. You run it at a moderate duty cycle and it holds the whole room evenly through trading hours. This is the cleanest, cheapest correct answer for the majority of 1,000 sq ft electronics shops, which tend to be a single open sales floor with counters around the walls.
Tip: Place it centrally or near the main AC path so distribution is even, not front-loaded.
2
THE PARTITIONED CASE
One Vaayu plus a corner
Boond - billing Boond · billing₹799 Add walls and the math changes. A sealed demo room or a glass listening booth is effectively a separate small room that the main machine cannot scent through a closed door. Rather than buy a second full machine, drop a ₹799 Boond into that one zone so a customer moving between areas never hits a flat pocket. One Vaayu on the main floor plus one Boond in the sealed corner covers most partitioned 1,000 sq ft layouts.
Tip: One sealed zone = one small unit; do not over-buy for a single nook.
3
THE SPLIT CASE
Two Vaayus, two schedules
Vaayu - scheduled Vaayu · scheduled₹11,999 If the 1,000 sq ft is genuinely two areas — say a phone floor and a separate laptop-and-accessories floor of similar size — two Vaayus run cleaner than one over-driven unit trying to reach both. Each holds its own zone gently and follows its own schedule, so you can even run different intensities where footfall differs. This is the exception, not the rule, at this size — reserve it for real, balanced splits.
Tip: Two similar open zones favour two gentle machines over one straining one.

Open floor versus partitioned floor

The single most useful thing you can do before buying is walk your 1,000 sq ft and count how many times a customer passes through a doorway or around a solid wall. An open floor with counters along the perimeter is one volume — one Vaayu holds it. A floor chopped into a sales area, a walled demo room and a billing cabin is really three small volumes, and scent will not carry through the gaps between them.

For that partitioned case, resist the instinct to buy a bigger machine — a bigger unit in the main room still cannot reach through a closed demo-room door. The right move is a main Vaayu plus a small Boond in each sealed zone, so the experience stays continuous as the customer moves. If the partitions are permanent and numerous, that is the moment ducting via the Aangan starts to look tidier than a scatter of machines.

The 1,000 sq ft plan, by layout

Your layout, not just your floor area, decides the count — open floors need one, partitions add a corner unit.

The SOSA principle
At a thousand square feet the count is decided by walls, not floor area — one open volume takes one machine, and every sealed door adds a small one.

Whichever kind of electronics business you run, the system logic is the same: one signature, sized to the space, scheduled so it never depends on a staff member's memory, and waterless wherever it runs near stock. The Hotel Collection blends - SOSA's own interpretations of the world's finest hotel scents - run across the range, and everything is supported from Pune. Honest notes for store owners: ambient scenting's effects on dwell time, perceived quality and recall are real but moderate - they compound a well-run store and rescue nothing; premises must be clean and well-ventilated first, because fragrance crowns good air and never substitutes for it. Ultrasonic systems (Boond, Sukoon) add a small amount of humidity and run the water-based Hotel Collection fragrance; the Vaayu and the HVAC systems run waterless nebulising oil - near open equipment and in humid coastal cities, prefer waterless. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

Is one diffuser enough for 1,000 sq ft?
For an open single floor, yes — about 280m³ sits comfortably inside one Vaayu. Partitioned layouts need a small corner unit per sealed zone, or occasionally a second Vaayu.
When would I need two Vaayus?
When the floor is genuinely two balanced open areas, or the ceiling is high enough that one unit cannot hold the volume evenly. For a single sealed nook, a ₹799 Boond is the cheaper fix.
Can I do 1,000 sq ft on a budget?
Two Sukoon units (₹3,598 the pair) can cover an open floor on water-based Hotel Collection, accepting daily water top-ups and keeping them away from open stock.
Should I consider ducting at this size?
Only if the store is double-height, heavily partitioned, or about to expand. For most flat, open 1,000 sq ft floors a single Vaayu is simpler and cheaper than the ducted Aangan.
How much oil will a 1,000 sq ft store use?
A single Vaayu at a moderate setting through trading hours uses roughly 180–280ml a month — from about ₹999 in refills. Two units roughly double that.
Map, then buy
A 1,000 sq ft floor is a one-or-one-plus job — open takes one, walls add a corner
One Vaayu holds an open floor with headroom; a Boond finishes each sealed zone. Heavily partitioned or double-height? Ducting starts to make sense.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA commercial range; the scent-marketing strategy advice applies to any brand's systems.

Facts verified August 2026: Ambient scent research consistently associates pleasant, congruent scenting with longer dwell time, improved venue evaluations and stronger brand recall at moderate effect sizes; congruence and gentle intensity outperform strong scenting in replicated studies, and no scent effect survives unclean or poorly ventilated premises. Olfactory memory is unusually durable, which is the mechanism behind signature retail scents. The principal risk to electronic equipment from diffusion is added moisture and residue rather than fragrance itself, which is the basis of this range's waterless recommendation. SOSA systems: Boond 300ml (₹799) and Sukoon 500ml (₹1,799) ultrasonic units run the water-based Hotel Collection fragrance (from ₹299; refills 100ml ₹999); SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebulising machine, up to 1000m³, 400ml tank, Bluetooth app and 1/4/8/24h timers, under 38 dB; SOSA Aangan (₹25,999) is an HVAC nebulising system covering up to 3,000m³ (roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft).
