Raw essential oils on their own are often unstable, can be skin-sensitising, and behave unpredictably in a 70°C cabin - so a fragrance built only from raw naturals is rarely the safest or most reliable choice. What "natural" actually means on a car freshener
The word "natural" is not regulated on a fragrance label, which is why it appears on so many products that are anything but. As a perfumer I have to be precise about three different things people lump together:

Raw essential oils - pure plant extracts, lovely but often unstable, sometimes skin-sensitising, and unpredictable in a hot cabin. Naturally-derived materials - built from natural sources and made safe and stable for use, the practical choice for cars. Certified organic - a specific certification about farming, separate from whether a scent is safe or long-lasting. SOSA uses the middle category: naturally-derived, IFRA-compliant materials.
I say this clearly because I would rather lose a sale than mislead you: SOSA does not use raw essential oils alone, and we are not certified organic. What we are is honest about a real, safe, naturally-derived formula calibrated for Indian heat. If a brand claims "100% essential oils" for a car product, ask how they keep it stable at 70°C - the answer is usually that they cannot.
Three claims to be careful with
✕"100% natural" with no ingredient detail - the phrase is unregulated; the silence behind it is the tell.
