The difference between a gift and a piece of merchandise is not price, material or taste. It is whose name is the largest thing on the object. A customer who has just settled a substantial PPF invoice can tell the two apart instantly, and once something has been read as advertising it cannot be re-read as a gift. That leads somewhere specific and slightly awkward for a supplier to say: SOSA's entire branding offer is a custom label or logo on product - there is no custom box, printed sleeve or insert card to hide a mark on - so if you want the object to read as a gift, the honest recommendation is frequently to put no logo on it at all.
The object to reach for when a job was genuinely exceptional and a bottle will not carry it. SOSA Safar, ₹3,999 for the botanical trios and ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios - waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold diffusion for a car or a travel bag, with no water to fill and no cigarette socket needed. It is an object rather than a consumable, which is what lets it stand on its own without a name printed on it. No runtime, battery life or coverage figure is published.
Quick answers — read this first
How do you give a PPF customer a gift that does not look like promotional merchandise? Take the logo off it. An object is read as merchandise when the branding is the most prominent thing about it, because then the object exists to carry the mark. SOSA's only branding option is a custom label or logo on product - there is no custom box, printed sleeve or insert card - so the real choice is a marked label or a clean one. For a customer who has just paid a large invoice, clean usually wins.
What should the gift actually be? Something small, complete in itself and already in the car. A hanging car perfume at ₹449 to ₹509 is one option; SOSA Safar at ₹3,999, the waterless cordless cold-diffusion car diffuser, is the one to consider when a job has been genuinely exceptional and you want the object to hold its own without a name on it.
Can SOSA supply a branded box or sleeve for it? No. The whole branding offer is a custom label or logo on product. There is no custom box, no printed sleeve, no insert card, no wrapping and no hamper service, and the product arrives as the retail product. Anything beyond the label is not a published service, and anything to do with quantities is settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
The short answer
Short answer: By leaving the logo off. An object reads as merchandise when the branding is its most prominent feature, and a customer who has just paid a large PPF invoice registers that instantly. SOSA's only branding option is a custom label or logo on product, with no custom box or sleeve, so the honest choice is often an unmarked retail product. Hangings are Rs 449 to Rs 509 and SOSA Safar is Rs 3,999.
The pick: An unbranded retail product: a mild hanging from ₹449, or SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 when the job was genuinely exceptional and the object needs to hold its own.
Why: Because branding is the single variable that decides how the object is read, and it is the one variable you fully control. Everything else about a small fragrance object is neutral; a logo is not.
A gift cannot change how somebody's week went, and a page that suggests otherwise is not worth reading. What a small parcel does is tell a person you were thinking about them on a day when nothing made you - which is a real thing to say, and worth saying. Keep it small, because a large one asks somebody already short of energy to produce a reaction, and send the words separately, because the object cannot carry them.
Someone has just spent heavily on PPF for their car and I do not want to give them something that looks like a cheap promotional item. What compact premium gift works?
The instinct behind this question is right, and it is worth naming the mechanism precisely, because the fix is smaller and cheaper than most people expect. An object reads as promotional merchandise when the branding is the most prominent thing about it. That is the whole test. It is not about price - there is expensive merchandise and there are inexpensive gifts. It is about what the object appears to exist for. A mug with a studio name across it exists to display the name; the mug is the carrier. A small bottle with nothing on it exists as itself, and the person who gave it is remembered or not remembered on their own merits. A customer who has just settled a substantial invoice for paint protection film is, by definition, somebody paying close attention to how things look, and that judgement happens in about a second. So here is the honest position from a supplier's side, including the part that costs SOSA a sale of a service. SOSA's entire branding offer is a custom label or logo on product. There is no custom box, no printed sleeve, no insert card, no wrapping and no hamper - the item arrives as the retail item, and a label can carry your mark. Which means there is nowhere discreet to put a logo: no outer packaging to brand while leaving the object clean. The choice is a marked label or an unmarked one, and for this particular customer the unmarked one is usually correct. What to give, then: a mild hanging car perfume at ₹449 to ₹509 is compact, complete and unremarkable in the good sense, and SOSA Safar at ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios, is the waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold-diffusion car diffuser worth considering when a job has genuinely been exceptional. No runtime, battery life or coverage figure is published for Safar. SOSA publishes no bulk rate, no minimum order quantity and no commercial term of any kind; anything to do with quantity or labelling is a conversation on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Merchandise is identified by the mark on it. A gift is identified by the object. You cannot have both, and the logo is the thing you get to decide.
The compact option: a mild hanging from ₹449, unmarked. The considered one: SOSA Safar at ₹3,999, waterless and cordless, for the job that earned it.
What makes an object read as a gift rather than as advertising
There are three separate decisions hiding inside this question, and mixing them up is why studios end up ordering something branded, expensive and wrong. Take them apart in this order and the answer tends to become obvious.
1
The first variable
The logo is the whole difference, and it is free to remove
Consider what the recipient is actually doing when they look at a gift for the first time. They are not valuing it. They are working out, in about a second, what it is and why it was given. Everything that follows is coloured by that first reading.
A prominent mark answers the question for them, and the answer is advertising. Not cynically - most people are perfectly comfortable with a supplier's name being on a useful thing - but conclusively. The object is now a piece of the studio's signage that happens to live in their car. An unmarked object leaves the question open, and the answer they arrive at is the one you wanted: somebody chose this.
The reason this matters more after a PPF job than after a routine wash is that the customer has just spent a long time thinking about surfaces and appearances. That is what the invoice was for. They are, at that exact moment, the most visually attentive version of themselves, and an object whose purpose is to carry a name will be read as exactly that. Removing the logo costs nothing and changes the category of the gift. That is an unusually cheap improvement and it is the one most studios skip.
Tip: The mark is the cheapest thing on the object and the most expensive decision about it.
2
The second variable
What SOSA can and cannot do about presentation
It is worth being exact about the options, because this is a place where suppliers in general are vague and the vagueness costs the buyer.
The entire SOSA branding offer is a custom label or logo on product. That is it. There is no custom box, no printed sleeve, no insert card, no branded carton, no wrapping, no ribbon and no hamper. The product arrives as the retail product it is. A label on the bottle can carry your studio's mark if you want it to.
Follow that through and you reach a conclusion that is genuinely useful. In most corporate gifting the trick is to brand the outside and leave the object clean: your name on a sleeve that gets discarded, an unmarked thing inside. That option does not exist here, because the outside does not exist. There is no layer to put the logo on except the item the customer keeps in their car. So the decision is binary and you should make it deliberately: mark the label, or leave it alone. For a PPF customer, leave it alone, and say the thank you out loud at the handover instead - which is where it belongs and where it costs nothing.
If you want the mark somewhere, the honest middle path is a small one on the label rather than a large one, and that is a conversation on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 rather than a specification on a page, because nothing about label design, sizes or artwork is published.
3
The third variable
When the small object is not enough, and what the top of the range is
For most cars, a small good object placed in the vehicle is the right scale and a studio should not talk itself out of it. A gift does not have to be proportional to an invoice, and one that tries to be reads as a discount applied after the fact.
But some jobs genuinely sit apart - a full-body film on a car the customer has been planning for years, or a returning customer bringing a third vehicle through. For those, SOSA Safar at ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios, is the top of the SOSA car range: a waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold-diffusion perfume diffuser for a car or a travel bag. It needs no water and no cigarette socket. It is an object rather than a consumable, which is what allows it to carry a moment without a logo on it. No runtime, battery life, coverage or refill frequency is published for Safar, and it runs waterless nebuliser oil at ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm rather than the ₹299 water-based Hotel Collection bottle.
What Safar is not is a volume gift, and no studio should plan a standing programme around it. It is the one to reach for when a single job warrants it and you would otherwise be looking for something that does not exist in the ₹449 to ₹509 bracket.
Tip: Reserve the top of the range for the jobs that were actually exceptional, or it stops meaning anything.
The decision this whole category turns on
Hanging or spray is a scent-throw choice, not a budget choice
Every SOSA car scent is sold in two formats at the same price: the hanging is the mild scent-throw, the spray is the stronger one. Jasmine is ₹449 either way, Lemon ₹499 either way, Oud ₹509 either way. So the question is never which one you can afford - it is who controls the dose. Hand a car to somebody whose taste you have never asked about and the mild hanging is the safer object, because a person who finds a sealed car too loud cannot turn a scent down, only take it out.
Decide the logo question first. For a PPF customer, no logo is usually the right answer.
Know the limit: label or logo on product is the whole offer. No box, sleeve or insert.
For a standard job, a mild hanging from Rs 449, unmarked, fitted before collection.
For a genuinely exceptional job, consider SOSA Safar at Rs 3,999 instead of scaling up.
The SOSA principle
Every studio asking this question assumes the fix is to spend more. It almost never is. The object that reads as promotional merchandise at Rs 400 reads as promotional merchandise at Rs 4,000, because what makes it merchandise is the name on it and not the money in it.
Which is a good outcome, because it means the correct answer here is cheaper than the wrong one and takes one decision rather than a procurement exercise.
Which scent, when the object has to carry itself
With no logo doing any work, the scent is carrying the whole impression, so it is worth choosing more carefully than for a general handover. Sandalwood at ₹479 and Lavender at ₹479 are the two that read as composed rather than functional. Oud and Vetiver at ₹509 have the most character in the range and are the most obviously considered objects on a shelf - which cuts both ways, because character is exactly what a person either loves or opens a window to escape. Icy Mint at ₹489 and Lemon at ₹499 are the least likely to be disliked by somebody who did not choose them, and the safest choice when you have never asked. Sea Breeze at ₹509 sits between the two camps. Jasmine at ₹449 is the lowest-priced and the most conventionally floral. Every one of those is available as the mild hanging or the stronger spray at the same price, and for a car handed back to somebody whose taste nobody has asked about, the mild hanging remains the correct object.
The SOSA gift edit
Four ways to mark a large PPF job, and how each one gets read
The option
Who it suits, and where it fails
An unmarked hanging · ₹449 to ₹509
Small, complete and carrying no name, so the customer reads it as a choice rather than as signage. Fitted at the final check, it needs nothing explained. Its limit is scale: it is the right gesture for most jobs and will feel slight to a studio wanting to mark something genuinely unusual.
The same hanging with your logo on the label · the same price
A custom label or logo on product is the whole of what SOSA offers, and for a fleet, a workshop customer or a routine service it is perfectly sensible. After a large PPF invoice it is the riskier read, because there is no outer packaging to carry the mark instead and the name ends up on the thing being kept.
A two-scent combo · ₹899 to ₹949
Jasmine and Lemon or Jasmine and Lavender at ₹899, Oud with Lemon or Sandalwood with Oud at ₹949, hanging or spray at the same price. More substantial than a single bottle and still compact. It arrives as the retail product, so the presentation is whatever the product page shows and nothing more.
SOSA Safar · ₹3,999
Waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold diffusion for a car or a travel bag - an object rather than a consumable, which is why it can carry a moment without a name on it. ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios. No runtime, battery life or coverage is published, and it is emphatically not a volume gift.
What happens after the gift
The 15ml refill is bigger than the 12ml bottle and costs less than a new unit
Refills run ₹399 for Lemon and Jasmine, ₹429 for Sandalwood, Lavender and Icy Mint, and ₹449 for Sea Breeze, Vetiver and Oud - against ₹449 to ₹509 for the unit itself. This matters for one honest reason and not the flattering one: a gift that can be continued without being sold to is a different object from a gift that simply runs out. Whether anybody continues it is up to them, and no supplier can promise you they will.
One practical note on what the customer receives, since presentation is the whole subject of this page. The item arrives as the retail item shown on the product page. There is no custom box, no printed sleeve, no insert card, no wrapping, no ribbon and no hamper - none of that is a published SOSA service, and a page that implies otherwise is inventing it. What exists is the product itself and, if you want it, a custom label or logo on product. If your gesture depends on presentation beyond that, the honest answer is that you would be arranging it yourself, and it is worth deciding whether an obviously self-assembled presentation helps or hurts the impression you were trying to make. For the record, in most cases a good object handed over without ceremony beats a modest object presented with a lot of it.
The lowest-priced hanging in the range at ₹449, and the reason most per-car budgets get built around this number. Available as the mild hanging or the stronger spray at the same ₹449.
Eight scents from ₹399. The refill is 15ml against the 12ml bottle it refills, and costs less than buying the unit again - so the person who was given one can carry on without being sold to.
Three sprays from ₹699, or all nine at ₹2,999. The honest answer when the recipient's taste is genuinely unknown: let them find out rather than guessing on their behalf.
from ₹699
When one particular car is not part of the programme
SOSA Safar ₹3,999 for a car, SOSA Vaayu ₹11,999 for the building it is parked at
Safar is the waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold-diffusion perfume diffuser for a car or a travel bag - ₹3,999 for the SOSA-scent trios and ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios. It is not a volume gift and should not be described as one; it is what a business reaches for when a single handover genuinely warrants it. Vaayu is the same waterless idea sized for a building: cold-air nebulising of undiluted oil, rated for approximately 1000 m3 of connected air, with a Bluetooth app and timer, a 400ml tank, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, DC 12V / 1A 5W mains power and CE, RoHS and SGS marks - which makes it a showroom or workshop question rather than a gifting one. Both run waterless nebuliser oil at ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm, and neither takes the ₹299 water-based Hotel Collection bottle. No runtime, battery life or coverage figure is published for Safar. Both add a scent to a space; neither removes one.
Tell SOSA who it is for, roughly how big the room is, whether their home is already scented and what you want to spend - and you will be told which size and which scent, including the times the honest answer is the 50ml rather than the 130ml.
You can spend ₹4,000 and still hand somebody a piece of advertising, or spend ₹479 and hand them a gift. The variable is not the money. It is whether your name is the first thing they read.
— Sonal Sahani, SOSA
The SOSA gifting range
Two questions settle almost every reed diffuser gift, and the first one is not price. How big is the room it is going into? A 50ml suits a bedroom, a study, a hallway or a first diffuser; a 130ml suits an open-plan living and dining area, and it is genuinely too much for a small closed bedroom. Then: how much do you actually know about their taste? The less you know, the less declarative the scent should be - Morning Freshness is the safest of the five for a home you have never stood in, and Fresh Brew coffee-vanilla is the strongest opinion in the range. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.

Every price above is the published retail price on the live SOSA product page, which is what any business should build its own arithmetic on. SOSA does not publish a bulk rate, a minimum order quantity, a slab, a dispatch window or any commercial term, and nothing on this page should be read as one. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; quantities and everything commercial are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 rather than priced on a page. The honest price sheet
What SOSA publishes, and what SOSA does not
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
The same scents as sprays, at the same price. Hanging is the mild scent-throw, spray is the stronger one, and they cost the same - so the choice is about who controls the dose, not about money. Mysore Orange Blossom ₹549 is a spray only and has no hanging format.
Combos and sets - two-scent combos ₹899 to ₹949, the Discovery Set of three sprays ₹699 to ₹899, all nine sprays ₹2,999, and 50ml sprays ₹1,499. SOSA Safar ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios.
Duration - the only car product publishing a figure is Mysore Orange Blossom: 10ml is about 100 sprays lasting about 3 months, 50ml is about 500 sprays lasting about a year or more. Those numbers belong to that spray and to nothing else. No duration is published for the hanging format.
Not published, and therefore never stated here: any bulk rate, minimum order quantity, slab or volume discount; any dispatch, delivery or cut-off timing; any payment, invoicing or credit term; case packs, carton sizes or unit weights; any claim that a gift will change a customer's behaviour, a survey score or a repeat rate; and any claim that a fragrance removes, neutralises or purifies anything. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
Buying for a business rather than for one person? Tell SOSA on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 four things: roughly how many vehicles or people a month, whether the recipient chooses the scent or you do, whether you want the mild hanging or the stronger spray, and whether the label needs to carry your logo. You will get one straight answer rather than a catalogue. What is not on this page, because SOSA does not publish it: any bulk rate, any minimum order quantity, any slab or volume discount, any dispatch or delivery timing, and any payment or invoicing term. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available - that is the whole of the branding offer, and there is no custom box, printed sleeve, insert card, gift wrap or hamper. There is no dealer, partner or reseller programme; everything commercial is a conversation on WhatsApp. Bespoke composition, a fragrance composed for you by Sonal, is a real SOSA service and is also discussed there. Where SOSA is: SOSA is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune and sends orders across India. There is no SOSA shop, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city, so anything here about Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mysuru or anywhere else is about the businesses and the cars in those cities and not about a local branch.

ISIPCA Versailles
A note from Sonal
The businesses that write to SOSA about car fragrance almost never open with a question about fragrance. They open with a question about a drawer. Somebody ordered five hundred of something last year, and most of it is still sitting in a drawer at the back of the showroom, and nobody wants to repeat that.
What makes a car product different from the keychain and the diary is not that it is nicer. It is that there is nowhere to put it away. A hanging perfume is hanging. It is not in a bag to be taken home and forgotten; it is in the one enclosed space the person is going to sit in tomorrow morning. That is an argument about geometry rather than about generosity, and it is the only argument for this category I am willing to make.
The thing I would push back on hardest is the instinct to buy the strongest one. When you are choosing on somebody else's behalf, and you will never meet most of them, the mild hanging is the correct choice and it costs exactly the same as the spray. A person who finds a scent too loud in a sealed car cannot turn it down; they can only take it out. Quiet is what lets a gift survive contact with a stranger's taste.
And the part I will not pretend about: I cannot tell you this will bring anyone back. No fragrance house can honestly tell a business what a gift will do to its numbers. What I can tell you is what the product is, what it costs, and what happens when somebody likes it enough to buy the refill themselves - which is the only loyalty any of us actually earns.
Frequently asked questions
How do I give a PPF customer something that does not look like promotional merchandise?
Leave the logo off it. An object reads as merchandise when the branding is its most prominent feature, because then the object exists to carry the mark rather than to be itself. That judgement happens in about a second, and a customer who has just paid a large invoice for paintwork is paying close attention to how things look. Removing the logo costs nothing.
Can SOSA supply a branded box or sleeve for a premium gift?
No. The entire branding offer is a custom label or logo on product - there is no custom box, printed sleeve, insert card, wrapping, ribbon or hamper service, and the item arrives as the retail item. That is worth knowing here because it removes the usual trick of branding the outer packaging and leaving the object clean. The choice is a marked label or an unmarked one.
What is a good compact premium gift for a large PPF job?
For most jobs, an unmarked hanging car perfume at Rs 449 to Rs 509, fitted at the final check so nothing is handed across a desk. For a job that was genuinely exceptional, SOSA Safar at Rs 3,999, or Rs 4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios, is a waterless cordless rechargeable cold-diffusion car diffuser and is an object rather than a consumable.
Does a more expensive gift automatically feel less like merchandise?
No, and this is the most common mistake in the category. Price is not what makes something read as promotional - the name on it is. An item costing Rs 4,000 with a studio logo across it is still read as signage, and an unmarked item at Rs 479 is read as a choice somebody made. Spending more without changing the branding decision changes nothing.
What does SOSA publish about Safar's runtime or battery life?
Nothing. SOSA Safar is Rs 3,999, or Rs 4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios, and is described as a waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold-diffusion car and travel perfume diffuser. No runtime, battery life, coverage or refill frequency is published for it, so no figure should be quoted to you. It runs waterless nebuliser oil at Rs 1,049 for 100 gm and Rs 1,849 for 300 gm.
Take the next step
Take the logo off, and let the object be the gift
An unmarked mild hanging from ₹449 for a standard job, or SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 for the one that was not. A custom label or logo on product is available if you want it - that is the whole of the branding offer, and there is no custom box or sleeve to hide a mark on. Prices here are published retail prices; labels and quantities are settled on WhatsApp.
Not sure which one suits the person you are buying for? Send SOSA their age, whether they drive, whether they like their home scented and your budget on WhatsApp, and you will get an honest answer - including when the cheaper product is the better gift.

About commercial terms: the prices above are published retail prices. SOSA does not publish a bulk rate, a minimum order quantity, a volume slab or discount, a dispatch or delivery window, an order cut-off, a payment or credit term, a rate card, a case pack, a carton size or a unit weight, and none is stated anywhere on this page; bulk orders are welcome and are discussed on WhatsApp. The only branding available is a custom label or logo on product - there is no custom box, printed sleeve, insert card, gift wrap or hamper service. There is no dealer, partner or reseller programme. About SOSA's location: SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, and sends orders across India. SOSA has no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mysuru or any other city, and nothing on this page should be read as claiming one; where a city is named, it refers to the businesses and the cars in that city and nothing more. Limits of this guide: fragrance adds a scent and does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify odour, and no SOSA product makes any health, antibacterial, air-purifying or wellbeing claim, nor any claim about being suitable for children, pets or any medical condition. No claim is made anywhere on this page about what a gift will do to a business result - not to a satisfaction or survey score, not to repeat business, referrals, reviews, retention or recall. Those outcomes depend on the business and not on a fragrance, and no fragrance house can honestly promise them. No claim is made about how any recipient will feel. No duration is published or implied for the hanging format. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
