Strip the handover back to what physically happens and it is a short, fixed sequence: papers signed, keys transferred, a walk around the car, a few minutes in the driver's seat with the controls, and then the customer drives away. Everything else in a handover is something you chose to add to that sequence, and additions either fit inside it or interrupt it. A gift that needs explaining, fitting or demonstrating interrupts. A sealed 12ml bottle fits, and the useful question is exactly where.
Handed over after the keys, sealed. SOSA car perfume, 12ml, ₹449 to ₹509 - two variants at the same price: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). No model to match, nothing to fit and nothing to demonstrate while a family waits. Alcohol-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India.
Quick answers — read this first
What fragrance gift works at a car handover? A sealed 12ml car perfume at ₹449 to ₹509, handed over rather than fitted. It is the same object for every model, needs no tools and no sizing, and takes one sentence to explain. It is published in two forms at the same price: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw).
Where in the handover should the gift be given? After the keys, not before. A gift handed over before the keys competes with the car; handed over after, it sits inside the few minutes when the customer is already in the driver's seat learning the controls, which is the one part of the sequence where a small object for the cabin makes sense at all.
Does a better handover gift change what the customer does afterwards? SOSA cannot tell you that and publishes no data on it. Nobody selling you a gift can tell you that either. What is describable is the mechanism: a sealed bottle goes into a car, and it is used there or it is not. What that is worth is a judgement rather than a figure.
The short answer
Short answer: Give it after the keys, sealed, in one sentence. SOSA car perfume is Rs 449 to Rs 509 at 12ml, spray or hanging at the same price, the same object for every model, with nothing to fit or demonstrate. No bulk rate is published; quantities go to WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
The pick: The 12ml spray, ₹449 to ₹509, handed over sealed after the keys - or a Discovery Set at ₹699 to ₹899 when the handover is the whole occasion.
Why: It fits the sequence instead of interrupting it: one object, one sentence, no fitment, no model to match and nothing left in the cabin that the owner did not put there.
A gift cannot change how somebody's week went, and a page that suggests otherwise is not worth reading. What a small parcel does is tell a person you were thinking about them on a day when nothing made you - which is a real thing to say, and worth saying. Keep it small, because a large one asks somebody already short of energy to produce a reaction, and send the words separately, because the object cannot carry them.
We want to improve the handover moment for somebody buying their first premium pre-owned car. What fragrance-related gift works there?
Describe the handover as a sequence and the answer becomes an operational one rather than a sentimental one. Papers are signed. Keys change hands. Somebody walks the car with the customer. The customer sits in the driver's seat and works through the controls, the mirrors and the seat position. Then they drive away. A gift either fits into that sequence or it stops it, and what stops it is anything needing a fitment, a model, a size, a demonstration or a five-minute explanation while a family waits. SOSA car perfume fits, because it is the same object whatever you sold them. It is published at ₹449 for Jasmine, ₹479 for Sandalwood and Lavender, ₹489 for Icy Mint, ₹499 for Lemon, and ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at 12ml, in two variants the store names Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw), and the two cost the same, so the decision is control rather than money. Handed over sealed, after the keys, it takes one sentence and leaves the cabin exactly as the customer found it. When the handover is meant to be the occasion itself, the Discovery Set of three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, gives the moment more physical weight without needing anything fitted. Every SOSA car fragrance is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Two honest limits: SOSA publishes no bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break and no lead time, and bulk orders are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531; and SOSA publishes no data on what a handover gift does afterwards, so nothing here promises you anything of the kind. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
A handover has about four minutes of slack in it. A gift that needs five is not a gift, it is an interruption with a bow on it.
The fit here: a sealed 12ml spray, ₹449 to ₹509 - one object, one sentence, no fitment, handed over after the keys rather than before.
What physically happens at a handover, and where a small object fits
Three things decide whether an addition survives in a real handover, and the first is simply how many minutes it needs.
1
The sequence
A handover is short, fixed and already full
Write out what actually happens and the constraint becomes obvious. Documents. Keys. A walk around the car. A few minutes in the seat with the controls and the mirrors. A photograph, often. Then the drive out.
That sequence has very little slack, and the slack it has is at the end, when the customer is already sitting in the car. An addition that fits into those few minutes survives; an addition that needs its own separate minutes does not, and it is usually dropped within two quarters without anybody deciding to drop it.
This is why the physical properties of the object matter more than its price. A sealed 12ml bottle is the same object for every model on your forecourt. Nothing has to be matched, measured or fitted. Nobody has to open a box or find a tool. It is handed across, described in a sentence, and it goes into a door pocket while the customer carries on with the controls. That is the entire operational case, and it holds on a busy Saturday, which is the only test that counts.
Tip: The question is not what the gift costs. It is how many minutes it needs that you do not have.
2
The placement
After the keys, and sealed
Two placement decisions, both free, both worth making on purpose.
After the keys, not before. Anything handed over ahead of the keys is competing with the car for attention and will lose. Handed over afterwards, it lands in the part of the sequence where the customer is already dealing with the interior, which is where a cabin object belongs.
Sealed, not applied. A cabin already scented when the door opens is a decision made for somebody about a car they have owned for four minutes, and it is not one they can undo in front of you. A sealed bottle leaves the car exactly as prepared. The spray extends that: it sits in a door pocket and does nothing until the owner reaches for it, and it leaves nothing on the mirror. The hanging bottle works from the moment it goes in and occupies the most looked-at object in the interior. Both are published at the same price - Jasmine ₹449, Oud ₹509, either form - so this is a judgement about control, and a page claiming one form is the upgrade is describing a difference the price list does not contain.
3
The claim
What a handover gift can be said to do, and what it cannot
This is where a page like this usually starts promising things, so it is worth being blunt. SOSA cannot tell you that customers will come back, and publishes no data on referrals, repeat business or being remembered. Nobody selling you a gift has that data either. What can be described is the mechanism and nothing beyond it: an object is handed over, it goes into the car, and the owner uses it or does not.
Two more gaps worth knowing before you build a process on this. SOSA does not publish how long a 12ml bottle lasts, in spray or hanging form, for any scent; the one exception is Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only, at about 100 sprays for the 10ml (₹549) and about 500 sprays for the 50ml (₹1,499), and those figures belong to that product alone.
And no bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break or lead time is published anywhere, so there is no rate card to read before you talk to anybody. Bulk orders are welcome on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531, where custom label or logo on product can also be discussed - it is the one branding option, with no printed box, sleeve, insert or ribbon.
Tip: Describe what the object does. Leave what it means to the person driving away with it.
The two variants, and why the price is not the question
Spray or Hanging - same product, same price, different control
The store publishes both forms of every 12ml scent and names them plainly: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). They cost the same - ₹449 for Jasmine up to ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver. So the decision is about two other things. Who decides when the scent happens: a spray sits in a glovebox until somebody picks it up; a hanging bottle works from the moment it goes in. And what stays visible: the hanging bottle hangs where the owner sees it, the spray does not. When the car belongs to your customer, those two usually settle it. Only Mysore Orange Blossom publishes a life: about 100 sprays at 10ml, about 500 at 50ml. No 12ml bottle publishes one, in either form.
Fitting this into a handover that already runs on a timetable
Hand it over after the keys, never before. It should not compete with the car.
Keep it sealed. Apply nothing to a cabin the customer has owned for four minutes.
One sentence only: a 12ml car perfume, spray or hanging, the same price either way.
Keep two or three scents at the desk so nobody is choosing during a handover.
The SOSA principle
The objects that survive in a handover are the ones that need no model, no size, no tool and no demonstration. Everything else is quietly dropped within two quarters, not because anybody disliked it, but because a busy Saturday has no room for it.
A sealed 12ml bottle passes that test on physical grounds alone, which is a duller reason than most delivery-gift pages will give you and a more durable one.
Choosing a scent for somebody you have spoken to for two weeks
By this point in a pre-owned sale you have usually spoken to the buyer several times, which makes scent choice less of a guess than it is for a walk-in. Sandalwood at ₹479 is warm and reads as considered rather than default, and it is the safest of the serious options. Oud at ₹509 is rich and woody and the most distinctive of the eight, which makes it a strong choice for a buyer whose taste you actually know and a gamble for one you do not. Jasmine at ₹449 is soft and floral and the hardest to object to; Lemon at ₹499 is bright and clean. Mysore Orange Blossom at ₹549 is spray only. All are alcohol-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India.
The SOSA gift edit
Four additions to a handover, and where each one meets the clock
The option
Who it suits, and where it fails
A sealed 12ml spray · ₹449 to ₹509
One object, one sentence, identical for every model, and it goes straight into a door pocket. It fails when the handover is meant to be a visible occasion, because a small bottle handed over quietly is the opposite of a spectacle.
A hanging bottle · the same ₹449 to ₹509
Also one object and one sentence, and it works from the moment it goes on the mirror. It fails when you hang it yourself before collection, because you are then furnishing the most looked-at spot in a cabin the customer has not sat in yet.
A Discovery Set · ₹699 to ₹899
Three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, with enough physical presence to carry a handover that is meant to be the occasion. It fails on cost discipline if every car gets one, and the trios cannot be assembled to order.
Anything requiring fitting or a demonstration · any price
Impressive in the showroom and genuinely useful in some cases. It fails against the clock: it needs minutes the sequence does not have, and it needs to match the model, which is the point at which a Saturday handover starts running late.
What exists for handing out in quantity, and what does not
Sets, combos, refills - and the four things nobody publishes
For businesses handing something to a lot of customers, this is the honest inventory. The Car Perfume Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Combos pair two scents at ₹899 and ₹949. 15ml refills are ₹399 to ₹449 and they refill the hanging bottle. Now the gaps, because you are planning around them: the trios are fixed and a build-your-own set is not offered; no spray refill is published; no bulk rate, minimum, lead time or per-unit cost is published anywhere; and no cost per spray can honestly be given.Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available - that is the one branding option. Quantities are settled on WhatsApp.
Three neighbours to the single bottle. The Car Perfume Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999, and it is the natural choice when the handover itself is the event. Combos pair two scents at ₹899 and ₹949, sold as spray or hanging at the same price. 15ml refills at ₹399 to ₹449 are for the hanging bottle only, and no spray refill is published. Further up, SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 is a cordless waterless diffuser with three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off, which earns its place on a chauffeur-driven car where a driver controls the cabin, and is far too much object for a delivery desk.
Published as Spray (Strong scent-throw). Applied when somebody decides to apply it, and nothing stays visible in the cabin afterwards. Eight scents, ₹449 to ₹509 at 12ml.
Published as Hanging (Mild scent-throw), and the same price as the spray. It runs continuously once it is in the car, and it is visible from the driver's seat.
Three travel-size mini sprays in one box, in eight fixed curated trios from ₹699 to ₹899, plus a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. The trios are fixed and a build-your-own set is not offered.
from ₹699
The one published fact that settles most of this decision
Spray and Hanging are the same price. So the choice is never the money.
Every SOSA car scent is sold in two forms and the store names them plainly: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). They cost exactly the same - ₹449 for Jasmine, ₹479 for Sandalwood and Lavender, ₹489 for Icy Mint, ₹499 for Lemon, and ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at 12ml. So the decision is not a budget decision at all. It is two other things. Who decides when the scent happens: a spray waits in a glovebox until somebody picks it up, while a hanging bottle starts working the moment it goes in and keeps working. And what stays visible: a hanging bottle hangs where the owner sees it, and a spray does not. For a business handing something to a customer, those two facts usually decide it on their own, because the car belongs to the customer and not to you. Every one of these is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Only one scent publishes how long it lasts:Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only, about 100 sprays at 10ml for ₹549 and about 500 sprays at 50ml for ₹1,499. No 12ml bottle publishes a life, in either form.
Tell SOSA who it is for, roughly how big the room is, whether their home is already scented and what you want to spend - and you will be told which size and which scent, including the times the honest answer is the 50ml rather than the 130ml.
The handover is not the moment to introduce something that needs explaining. It is the moment to hand over one thing, say one sentence about it, and let the customer get on with their car.
— Sonal Sahani, SOSA
The SOSA gifting range
Two questions settle almost every reed diffuser gift, and the first one is not price. How big is the room it is going into? A 50ml suits a bedroom, a study, a hallway or a first diffuser; a 130ml suits an open-plan living and dining area, and it is genuinely too much for a small closed bedroom. Then: how much do you actually know about their taste? The less you know, the less declarative the scent should be - Morning Freshness is the safest of the five for a home you have never stood in, and Fresh Brew coffee-vanilla is the strongest opinion in the range. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.
The SOSA car range, sorted by who controls when the scent happens
Start from control and visibility, not from the price
Eight scents at ₹449 to ₹509. Applied on demand by whoever is holding it, and it leaves nothing visible in the cabin - which is why it suits a car the giver does not own
₹3,999 - rechargeable, three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off, so a driver controls when it runs. Imported rather than made in India
₹3,999
Spray and Hanging are the same product at the same price. The store publishes them as Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw), and the choice is scent-throw and who controls it, never budget. Every SOSA car fragrance is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Fragrance adds a scent to a cabin; it does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is not a substitute for cleaning a car. No spray refill is published - the 15ml refills are for the hanging bottle. Prices above are published retail prices; bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available, and quantities, rates and anything commercial are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 rather than published here. SOSA is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The honest spec sheet
What the SOSA car pages publish, and what they do not
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
Two forms, one price - Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw) are published as variants of the same 12ml product at the same price: Jasmine ₹449, Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479, Icy Mint ₹489, Lemon ₹499, and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Every one also carries a 50ml spray at ₹1,499.
Composition - alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free, IFRA-compliant, formulated by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles trained, and made in India.
The only published longevity - Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only: about 100 sprays at 10ml (₹549) and about 500 sprays at 50ml (₹1,499), published as about 50 days at two sprays a day and 3 months and above at one. No other scent publishes a spray count or a duration, and no 12ml bottle publishes a life in either form.
Sets and combos - the Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Combos are ₹899 and ₹949. The trios are fixed; a build-your-own set is not offered.
Not published, and therefore never stated here: any bulk rate, minimum quantity, slab, price break, lead time, turnaround or per-unit cost; any trade, partner or dealer programme; any cost per spray; how long a 12ml bottle lasts; and anything at all about what a gift does to customer retention, referrals or repeat business. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
Working out what to hand a customer, and how many? Tell SOSA on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 four things: what your business actually does, roughly how many customers a month you are talking about, whether you want the customer to control the scent or the car to carry it continuously, and what you want to spend per customer. You will get a straight answer rather than a catalogue. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available - that is the one branding option, and there is no custom box, sleeve, insert or printed packaging. What is not on this page, because SOSA does not publish it: any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break, lead time or per-unit cost; any trade, partner or dealer programme; how long a 12ml bottle lasts in either form; any spray count for any scent except Mysore Orange Blossom; and any cost per spray. One thing worth knowing before you plan around it: the 15ml refills are for the hanging bottle, and no spray refill is published, so a spray is a sealed unit rather than a topped-up one. Where SOSA is: an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India, with no shop, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city.

A note from Sonal
The enquiries that come from automotive businesses are refreshingly unsentimental. Nobody writes to me about the magic of a first drive. They write: we hand over ninety cars a month, we currently give a keychain, and we are fairly sure nobody keeps it. That is a good question, and it deserves a better answer than a brochure.
So here is the part I would want you to take away, and it is the only part that is actually a fact. The spray and the hanging bottle are the same product at the same price. Jasmine is ₹449 either way. Oud is ₹509 either way. That surprises people, because they assume one must be the upgrade. Neither is. What you are choosing between is who decides when the scent happens and whether anything stays visible in the cabin - and when the car belongs to your customer rather than to you, those two questions usually answer themselves.
The part I will not pretend about is the part most of these enquiries are really asking. I cannot tell you that a gift brings anybody back. Nobody selling you a gift can, and the ones who say they can are selling you something else. What I can tell you is the mechanism: a small bottle goes into a car, it does not need fitting or explaining, it works the same in a hatchback and in a seven-seater, and if the customer likes it they will use it where they spend an hour a day. What that is worth to your business is your judgement, not mine.
And the honest gaps, because you are planning around them. There is no published bulk rate, no minimum, no lead time and no per-unit cost - not because they are secret but because they are settled properly in a conversation, and a page that invented them would be lying to you. Custom label or logo on product is real, and it is the only branding there is.
Frequently asked questions
When in the handover should the gift be given?
After the keys rather than before. Anything handed over ahead of the keys competes with the car and loses. Given afterwards, it lands in the few minutes when the customer is already in the driver's seat working through the controls, which is the only part of the sequence where a small object meant for the cabin has anywhere natural to go.
Should we put the fragrance in the car ourselves before collection?
Better to hand it over sealed. A cabin already scented when the door opens is a decision made for somebody about a car they have owned for four minutes, and it cannot be politely undone while you are standing there. A sealed 12ml bottle at Rs 449 to Rs 509 leaves the car as prepared and leaves the first application to the owner.
Is the hanging bottle a step up from the spray?
No. They are the same 12ml product at the same price, published as Spray for strong scent-throw and Hanging for mild scent-throw. Jasmine is Rs 449 in either form, Oud is Rs 509 in either form. The real difference is who decides when the scent happens and whether anything stays visible on the mirror, and for a car you do not own that usually points to the spray.
What works when the handover is meant to be a bigger occasion?
The Discovery Set, which is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios at Rs 699 to Rs 899, with a Pack of 9 at Rs 2,999. It has more physical presence than a single bottle, it still needs no fitting or demonstration, and it lets the owner find their own favourite. The eight trios are fixed, so a set assembled to order is not something to offer.
Does a better handover gift do anything for the business afterwards?
SOSA cannot tell you that customers will come back, and publishes no data of any kind on referrals, repeat business or recall. Nobody selling you a gift can honestly tell you otherwise. What is knowable is the mechanism: a sealed bottle is handed over, it goes into the car, and the owner uses it or does not. Deciding what that is worth to your business is your judgement rather than a claim anyone should be making.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the buying reasoning applies to any brand.
Specifications verified from the live SOSA product pages, September 2026: every SOSA car fragrance is published in two forms of the same 12ml product - Spray, described on the store as strong scent-throw, and Hanging, described as mild scent-throw - and the two forms are the same price. Those prices are Jasmine ₹449; Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479; Icy Mint ₹489; Lemon ₹499; and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Each of those products also carries a 50ml car perfume spray at ₹1,499. Mysore Orange Blossom is sold as a spray only, at ₹549 for 10ml and ₹1,499 for 50ml, and is the only car scent publishing a spray count: approximately 100 sprays in the 10ml and approximately 500 sprays in the 50ml, stated as about 50 days at two sprays a day and three months and above at one spray a day. Car perfume combos are ₹899 for Jasmine with Lemon and Jasmine with Lavender, and ₹949 for Oud with Lemon and Sandalwood with Oud. The Car Perfume Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in one of eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Car hanging freshener refills are 15ml at ₹399 to ₹449. Every SOSA car fragrance is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, and is made in India. SOSA Safar ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios, is a waterless cordless portable diffuser of approximately 6.9 cm with a 2000 mAh Type-C battery giving up to 10 hours continuous or 30 hours intermittent per charge, three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off; its country of origin is China. What is not published, and is therefore not stated here: how long a 12ml bottle lasts in either form; any spray count or duration for any scent other than Mysore Orange Blossom; any cost per spray; any bulk rate, minimum quantity, slab, price break, lead time, turnaround or per-unit cost; any trade, partner or dealer programme; and any spray refill, since the 15ml refills are published for the hanging bottle. Limits of this guide: fragrance adds a scent to a cabin. It does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is never a substitute for cleaning a vehicle. No claim is made anywhere on this page about mood, stress, calm, alertness or wellbeing, nor about the safety of any product for children, pregnant passengers, elderly passengers or pets, nor about flammability, nor about how any customer or passenger will feel. No claim is made about business outcomes. Nothing on this page states or implies that a gift increases customer retention, referrals, repeat business, reviews, recall or sales; SOSA publishes no data of that kind and none is invented here. No competitor is named or characterised, and no rating, review count or customer name from any product page is cited. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; that is the only branding option, and quantities are settled on WhatsApp. SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, sending orders across India, with no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
