Founder Diaries · Reed Diffuser & Home Fragrance Gifting
By Sonal Sahani · ISIPCA Versailles 11 min read Updated September 2026
Field sales, service engineers, area managers, auditors doing four branches a week: for these employees the car is not the journey to work, it is where the work happens. They spend more waking hours in that cabin than in any room of their house, and it is the least glamorous part of a job that nobody at an annual event ever mentions from the stage. A gift aimed there is genuinely connected to their day rather than to the company's idea of it. It also has to clear a higher bar than a commuter gift, because whatever you choose, they are exposed to it for hours at a time. SOSA hanging car perfumes are ₹449 to ₹509 published retail, with 15ml refills from ₹399.
SOSA Sea Breeze hanging car perfume, 12ml, Rs 509
SOSA Sea Breeze hanging car perfume · 12ml · mild scent-throw ₹509 →
One of the three most distinctive scents in the hanging range, which makes it a fine choice for a driver who picks it themselves and a riskier one to allocate. SOSA Sea Breeze hanging car perfume, ₹509 for 12ml - sold as the mild hanging or the stronger spray at exactly the same ₹509.
Quick answers — read this first
What is a good corporate gift for employees who travel a lot by road? Something that belongs to the cabin they work in. A hanging car perfume at ₹449 to ₹509 published retail sits in the part of their day nobody else buys for, and the 15ml refill from ₹399 means it has somewhere to go afterwards for the people who use it heavily.

Does heavy road use change which format to give? It makes the mild hanging more important, not less. Both formats cost the same, so this is never a budget call. Somebody sitting in a sealed cabin for six hours is exposed to a scent far longer than a commuter is, and a strong scent they did not choose is a long day rather than a short one.

What if they drive a company vehicle rather than their own? It is worth checking before you order. A hanging is removable and moves between vehicles easily, which suits a shared or rotated car. Some fleet policies do not allow anything hung from a mirror, and that is a question for your own fleet team rather than for a fragrance house.
The short answer
Short answer: Give them something for the cabin they work in. A hanging car perfume is Rs 449 to Rs 509 published retail, in eight scents, and the 15ml refill from Rs 399 is larger than the 12ml bottle and cheaper than buying the unit again. Choose the mild hanging rather than the stronger spray: long exposure makes an unchosen strong scent a much bigger imposition.
The pick: The mild hanging from ₹449 in one of the less declarative scents, with the ₹399 refill worth mentioning once and never selling.
Why: It lands in the place these employees actually spend the working day, it needs nothing installed or switched on, and the mild format is the only sensible choice when somebody is exposed to it for hours rather than minutes.
Sending something when somebody is having a hard time - at a glanceKeep it small - candle ₹399, attar ₹379, car scent ₹449For their home - reed diffuser ₹749, nothing to switch onSay the words yourself - no card goes in the parcelNever - a parcel instead of turning up
A gift cannot change how somebody's week went, and a page that suggests otherwise is not worth reading. What a small parcel does is tell a person you were thinking about them on a day when nothing made you - which is a real thing to say, and worth saying. Keep it small, because a large one asks somebody already short of energy to produce a reaction, and send the words separately, because the object cannot carry them.
Straight answer
What corporate event gift suits employees who spend most of their working day travelling by road?
Something that belongs to the cabin, because that is where the job happens. A SOSA hanging car perfume at ₹449 to ₹509 is one of the few things you can hand a heavy road user that lands in the part of their day nobody at head office thinks about. Published prices are Jasmine ₹449, Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479, Icy Mint ₹489, Lemon ₹499, and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. The thing that makes this audience different from a normal employee gifting list is exposure time. A commuter meets a scent for forty minutes a day. A field engineer meets it for six hours, in a sealed cabin that has been standing in the sun since morning, five or six days a week. Everything that is mildly true about car fragrance for a commuter is emphatically true here, which is why the mild hanging rather than the stronger spray is the only responsible default when nobody has asked the recipient. Two honest notes. Many of these employees drive a vehicle the company owns, so check your own fleet rules before you order five hundred of anything. And no duration is published for the hanging format, so nobody can tell you a replacement cadence; the 15ml refills from ₹399 exist and are cheaper than the unit, and whether anybody uses one is their business. Quantities go to WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
A commuter meets the scent for forty minutes. A field engineer meets it for six hours. Same product, completely different standard of care in choosing it.
For heavy road users: the mild hanging from ₹449, with 15ml refills from ₹399 for the ones who use it hardest. Same price as the stronger spray, so choose on throw.
Hanging car perfumes from ₹449

What a gift has to get right for somebody who is in a car all day

Gifting for employees who live in their cars is one of the few corporate briefs where the recipient is a genuine expert in the object. They have opinions about their cabin that they have never been asked for. Three things follow from that.

1
Exposure
Six hours a day is a different question from forty minutes
Every SOSA car scent exists in two formats at exactly the same price: the hanging with a mild scent-throw, the spray with a stronger one. Jasmine is ₹449 either way, Sea Breeze ₹509 either way. This is a scent-throw decision and never a budget one.

For an employee who drives most of the working day, the mild format stops being a preference and becomes the obvious call. A car is a few cubic metres of sealed air standing in the sun, and time in that cabin is not comparable to time in a room with windows and doors. A scent that would be pleasant for a twenty-minute school run is a long companion across a full working day, and it is noticed far more in May than in December.

The asymmetry is what settles it. Somebody who is indifferent to a mild scent has lost nothing over six hours. Somebody who dislikes a strong one has six hours of it, or has to remove a gift the company gave them. The stronger spray is the better object only where the person doses it themselves - which is a self-purchase, not five hundred identical envelopes at an annual event.
Tip: Choose for the longest day in the sample, not the average one.
2
Ownership
Whose car is it, and can anything be hung in it?
This is the question that quietly decides whether your gift is usable, and it is easy to answer internally before anybody spends money. A heavy road user is driving one of three things: their own car, a car allocated to them by the company, or whatever is free from a pool that day.

An allocated company vehicle is usually fine and sometimes governed by a policy about what may be attached to the mirror or the vents. A pool vehicle is the awkward case, because the person changes and nobody owns the cabin. A hanging bottle handles the first two well for a simple physical reason: it loops on and off in seconds and moves between vehicles without leaving anything behind, which a plug-in or a vent clip does not.

None of that is a fragrance question, and it is not one a supplier can answer for you. Ask your own fleet team what is allowed before you order, and if the answer is that nothing may be hung in a company vehicle, this is the wrong gift for that segment and it is much cheaper to know in advance.
3
Afterwards
The one audience for whom the refill genuinely matters
For most gift recipients the continuation question is theoretical. For somebody in a car six hours a day it is not, because they are the group most likely to finish a bottle and notice it has gone.

What SOSA publishes is straightforward. 15ml refills run ₹399 for Lemon and Jasmine, ₹429 for Sandalwood, Lavender and Icy Mint, and ₹449 for Sea Breeze, Vetiver and Oud, against ₹449 to ₹509 for the unit itself. The refill is larger than the 12ml bottle it refills and costs less than buying the unit again, and it fits the hanging format rather than the spray. If you give the spray, that continuation path does not apply.

Two things this is not. It is not a duration claim: no duration is published for the hanging format at all, so nobody can tell you when a heavy user will reach the end of one. And it is not a loyalty mechanism, whatever a deck might want to call it. It is simply a product that has somewhere to go next, which the recipient can find without anybody selling to them.
Tip: Mention the refill once, in the same breath as the gift, and then leave it alone.
SOSA Lemon hanging car perfume, 12ml, Rs 499
The decision this whole category turns on
Hanging or spray is a scent-throw choice, not a budget choice
Every SOSA car scent is sold in two formats at the same price: the hanging is the mild scent-throw, the spray is the stronger one. Jasmine is ₹449 either way, Lemon ₹499 either way, Oud ₹509 either way. So the question is never which one you can afford - it is who controls the dose. Hand a car to somebody whose taste you have never asked about and the mild hanging is the safer object, because a person who finds a sealed car too loud cannot turn a scent down, only take it out.

Work it out in this order
How to choose a gift for staff who drive for a living
  1. Assume six hours a day in the cabin, not six minutes. Choose the mild hanging.
  2. Check with your fleet team whether anything may be hung in a company vehicle.
  3. Keep to two or three scents, and skip Oud as the default for people you did not ask.
  4. Mention the Rs 399 refill once. Whether anybody uses it is entirely up to them.
The SOSA principle
The parts of a job that get recognised at an annual event are the visible ones. For a field employee the defining part of the day is four hours of driving that nobody has ever thanked them for.
A gift aimed at that cabin is unusually specific, which is the whole of its appeal. It says somebody thought about the actual shape of the week rather than about the company.

Choosing a scent for six hours a day rather than twenty minutes

Long exposure narrows the list more than a short commute does. Icy Mint at ₹489 is the sharpest in the range and reads as clean rather than scented, which tends to wear best across a long day. Lemon at ₹499 is the straightforward citrus and the other sensible majority choice. Jasmine at ₹449 is conventionally pleasant and the lowest-priced hanging. Sandalwood and Lavender at ₹479 read as considered rather than functional and carry more presence, which is worth weighing against six hours rather than twenty minutes. Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at ₹509 are the three with the most character; they are excellent when a driver picks one deliberately for their own cabin, and the riskiest thing to allocate to somebody nobody has asked. Mysore Orange Blossom at ₹549 is a spray only with no hanging format, and it is the one car product with published duration figures.

The SOSA gift edit
Four gifts an event usually considers for road-based staff, and where each one lands
The option Who it suits, and where it fails
A hanging car perfume · ₹449 to ₹509 Aimed at the cabin where the working day actually happens, fitted in seconds, and easy to move between vehicles. It fails if the scent is declarative, because six hours is a long time with a choice somebody else made, and it fails outright if your fleet policy forbids anything hung from a mirror.
A flask or travel mug · the practical default Genuinely used by people who drive all day, and the single most duplicated corporate gift in existence. Most heavy road users already own two, usually chosen for a specific cup holder, and a third is a cupboard item rather than a working one.
A cushion or back support · the thoughtful-looking option Looks considerate on a slide and is the hardest object on this list to get right, because fit is entirely personal and anybody who drives for a living has already settled their own seat setup. It is also bulky to hand out at an event and awkward to refuse.
A fuel or toll card · the useful option Unambiguously useful and hard to feel anything about, because it lands in the same mental category as an expense claim. It is a reimbursement wearing a gift's clothes, which is fine when that is the intention and flat when the event is meant to be a thank you.
SOSA car hanging freshener refills, 15ml, from Rs 399
What happens after the gift
The 15ml refill is bigger than the 12ml bottle and costs less than a new unit
Refills run ₹399 for Lemon and Jasmine, ₹429 for Sandalwood, Lavender and Icy Mint, and ₹449 for Sea Breeze, Vetiver and Oud - against ₹449 to ₹509 for the unit itself. This matters for one honest reason and not the flattering one: a gift that can be continued without being sold to is a different object from a gift that simply runs out. Whether anybody continues it is up to them, and no supplier can promise you they will.
See the 15ml refills →

A last note on what cannot be promised here, because this is the audience where it is most tempting. No duration is published for the hanging format, so there is no honest way to tell you how long one lasts for somebody covering three hundred kilometres a day. The only SOSA car product with published figures is the Mysore Orange Blossom spray, at approximately 100 sprays in the 10ml lasting about three months, and approximately 500 sprays in the 50ml lasting about a year or more - and those numbers belong to that spray alone. If you need a replacement rhythm for a programme, give a few of them out first and settle the cadence from what your own people report, rather than planning against a number nobody published.

₹449 · 12ml
SOSA car hanging freshener refills, 15ml, from Rs 399

Three sprays from ₹699, or all nine at ₹2,999. The honest answer when the recipient's taste is genuinely unknown: let them find out rather than guessing on their behalf.
from ₹699
When one particular car is not part of the programme
SOSA Safar ₹3,999 for a car, SOSA Vaayu ₹11,999 for the building it is parked at
Safar is the waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold-diffusion perfume diffuser for a car or a travel bag - ₹3,999 for the SOSA-scent trios and ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios. It is not a volume gift and should not be described as one; it is what a business reaches for when a single handover genuinely warrants it. Vaayu is the same waterless idea sized for a building: cold-air nebulising of undiluted oil, rated for approximately 1000 m3 of connected air, with a Bluetooth app and timer, a 400ml tank, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, DC 12V / 1A 5W mains power and CE, RoHS and SGS marks - which makes it a showroom or workshop question rather than a gifting one. Both run waterless nebuliser oil at ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm, and neither takes the ₹299 water-based Hotel Collection bottle. No runtime, battery life or coverage figure is published for Safar. Both add a scent to a space; neither removes one.

Nobody gets applauded at an annual event for the four hours a day they spend on a highway. A gift that goes into that cabin is the rare one that names the real job.

The SOSA gifting range

Two questions settle almost every reed diffuser gift, and the first one is not price. How big is the room it is going into? A 50ml suits a bedroom, a study, a hallway or a first diffuser; a 130ml suits an open-plan living and dining area, and it is genuinely too much for a small closed bedroom. Then: how much do you actually know about their taste? The less you know, the less declarative the scent should be - Morning Freshness is the safest of the five for a home you have never stood in, and Fresh Brew coffee-vanilla is the strongest opinion in the range. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.

Every price above is the published retail price on the live SOSA product page, which is what any business should build its own arithmetic on. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; quantities and everything commercial are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 rather than priced on a page. The honest price sheet
What SOSA publishes, and what SOSA does not
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
  • Hanging car perfumes, 12ml - Jasmine ₹449, Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479, Icy Mint ₹489, Lemon ₹499, Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Eight scents in the hanging format.
  • The same scents as sprays, at the same price. Hanging is the mild scent-throw, spray is the stronger one, and they cost the same - so the choice is about who controls the dose, not about money. Mysore Orange Blossom ₹549 is a spray only and has no hanging format.
  • Refills, 15ml - ₹399 for Lemon and Jasmine, ₹429 for Sandalwood, Lavender and Icy Mint, ₹449 for Sea Breeze, Vetiver and Oud. Larger than the 12ml bottle, and cheaper than buying a new unit.
  • Combos and sets - two-scent combos ₹899 to ₹949, the Discovery Set of three sprays ₹699 to ₹899, all nine sprays ₹2,999, and 50ml sprays ₹1,499. SOSA Safar ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios.
  • Duration - the only car product publishing a figure is Mysore Orange Blossom: 10ml is about 100 sprays lasting about 3 months, 50ml is about 500 sprays lasting about a year or more. Those numbers belong to that spray and to nothing else. No duration is published for the hanging format.
  • Not published, and therefore never stated here: any bulk rate, minimum order quantity, slab or volume discount; any dispatch, delivery or cut-off timing; any payment, invoicing or credit term; case packs, carton sizes or unit weights; any claim that a gift will change a customer's behaviour, a survey score or a repeat rate; and any claim that a fragrance removes, neutralises or purifies anything. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.

A note from Sonal

The businesses that write to SOSA about car fragrance almost never open with a question about fragrance. They open with a question about a drawer. Somebody ordered five hundred of something last year, and most of it is still sitting in a drawer at the back of the showroom, and nobody wants to repeat that.

What makes a car product different from the keychain and the diary is not that it is nicer. It is that there is nowhere to put it away. A hanging perfume is hanging. It is not in a bag to be taken home and forgotten; it is in the one enclosed space the person is going to sit in tomorrow morning. That is an argument about geometry rather than about generosity, and it is the only argument for this category I am willing to make.

The thing I would push back on hardest is the instinct to buy the strongest one. When you are choosing on somebody else's behalf, and you will never meet most of them, the mild hanging is the correct choice and it costs exactly the same as the spray. A person who finds a scent too loud in a sealed car cannot turn it down; they can only take it out. Quiet is what lets a gift survive contact with a stranger's taste.

And the part I will not pretend about: I cannot tell you this will bring anyone back. No fragrance house can honestly tell a business what a gift will do to its numbers. What I can tell you is what the product is, what it costs, and what happens when somebody likes it enough to buy the refill themselves - which is the only loyalty any of us actually earns.

Frequently asked questions

What should we give employees who travel extensively by road?
Something for the cabin they work in. A hanging car perfume at Rs 449 to Rs 509 published retail lands in the part of the working day nobody else buys for, needs nothing installed or switched on, and moves easily between vehicles. It is also one of the few gifts that is specific to how these employees actually spend their week rather than to the company's idea of it.
Does heavy road use change whether we give the hanging or the spray?
It makes the mild hanging more important. Both formats of the same scent cost exactly the same, so it is never a budget decision. Somebody in a sealed cabin for six hours is exposed to a scent far longer than a commuter, and a person who finds it too strong has no way to reduce it other than taking a company gift back out of their car.
What if the employees drive company vehicles rather than their own?
Check with your own fleet team before ordering. A hanging loops on and off in seconds and leaves nothing behind, which suits an allocated or rotated vehicle better than a vent clip does, but some policies do not allow anything hung from a mirror. That is an internal question rather than one a fragrance house can answer for you.
How long does one bottle last in a car that is used all day?
SOSA does not publish a duration for the hanging format, so nobody should quote you one, and a heavy road user is exactly the case where an invented figure would be most wrong. The only car product with published figures is the Mysore Orange Blossom spray, at approximately 100 sprays in the 10ml. Give a few out first and settle any cadence from what your own people report.
Is there a cheaper way for them to continue it afterwards?
The 15ml refills are Rs 399 for Lemon and Jasmine, Rs 429 for Sandalwood, Lavender and Icy Mint, and Rs 449 for Sea Breeze, Vetiver and Oud, against Rs 449 to Rs 509 for the unit. The refill is larger than the 12ml bottle and costs less than buying the unit again, and it fits the hanging rather than the spray. Whether anybody uses one is entirely their own decision.

SOSA does not publish a bulk rate, a minimum order quantity, a volume slab or discount, a dispatch or delivery window, an order cut-off, a payment or credit term, a rate card, a case pack, a carton size or a unit weight, and none is stated anywhere on this page; bulk orders are welcome and are discussed on WhatsApp. The only branding available is a custom label or logo on product - there is no custom box, printed sleeve, insert card, gift wrap or hamper service. There is no dealer, partner or reseller programme. About SOSA's location: SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, and sends orders across India. SOSA has no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mysuru or any other city, and nothing on this page should be read as claiming one; where a city is named, it refers to the businesses and the cars in that city and nothing more. Limits of this guide: fragrance adds a scent and does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify odour, and no SOSA product makes any health, antibacterial, air-purifying or wellbeing claim, nor any claim about being suitable for children, pets or any medical condition. No claim is made anywhere on this page about what a gift will do to a business result - not to a satisfaction or survey score, not to repeat business, referrals, reviews, retention or recall. Those outcomes depend on the business and not on a fragrance, and no fragrance house can honestly promise them. No claim is made about how any recipient will feel. No duration is published or implied for the hanging format. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
