Ten pages in this family, and they come down to one bottle and one rule. The bottle is the smallest thing we make. The rule is that citrus is not fruit, and it is the rule that stops you crossing off the good half of a perfume counter along with the bad.
Quick answers — read this first
Which SOSA attar should I buy for zero fruity-perfume vibe? SOSA Adaa, the 3ml, at ₹379. Bergamot and green cardamom on top, neroli and jasmine sambac in the heart, white musk in the base rather than a sweet material. SOSA makes exactly four attars and none of them is fruity, so the fruit half of your requirement rules nothing out at all - Adaa wins on the second half, which is sweetness. It is the only one of the four with no vanilla, no tonka, no amber and no oud, and it is the lightest and driest thing we make for skin.

What exactly is ruled out to get there? Named, all of it. On the SOSA perfume line: Chashni, a sweet fruity-gourmand, which is precisely the accord in your question; Zaffran, a saffron sweet-amber; Tabac Noir, a tobacco-vanilla. Among the attars: Mastani, which has no fruit but carries vanilla and tonka. And the Pack of 3 at ₹1,055, which is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - the three heaviest attars we make - and which contains no Adaa at all, so it is the wrong first purchase twice over.

And the one rule to take away? Citrus is peel and fruit is flesh. Peel is bitter, sharp and short; flesh is sweet, round and long, and it needs a sweet base to hold it up. So bergamot, lemon, grapefruit and neroli on a listing are not warnings - they are the opposite of what you are avoiding, and crossing them off is how readers of this family end up with something heavy they never wanted. Buy the 3ml at ₹379, because we sell no attar sampler, so the smallest bottle is the sample size. The 6ml is ₹669 and the 12ml ₹1,149.
The short answer
Short answer: the 3ml of SOSA Adaa at ₹379. SOSA makes exactly four attars and none of them is fruity, so the fruit requirement rules nothing out - Adaa is chosen on the second half of the question, which is sweetness, because it is the only one of the four with no vanilla, no tonka, no amber and no oud. Ruled out by name: Chashni, a sweet fruity-gourmand, along with Zaffran, Tabac Noir, Mastani and the Pack of 3 at ₹1,055, which excludes Adaa. And the rule to keep: citrus is peel, so bergamot is not a fruit note.
The pick: the 3ml of SOSA Adaa at ₹379 - bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk, alcohol-free, and it wears 6-8 hours. If you would rather spray than dab, SOSA Khayaal (₹599 for 10ml) is a sparkling bergamot and neroli and SOSA Samundar (₹599 for 10ml) is an aquatic marine, and neither of those is an attar.
Next step: send me the last three perfumes you put back on the shelf and I will tell you whether it was the fruit, the sugar underneath it or something else entirely, and which of our four attars carries that material - Ask for an attar recommendation.

Straight answer
Which SOSA attar should somebody choose if they want zero fruity-perfume vibe?
SOSA Adaa, the 3ml, at ₹379 - and because this is the decision page for the family, here is the elimination in public rather than the conclusion on its own. SOSA makes exactly four attars: Adaa, Ameeri, Mastani and Nawaab. None of the four contains a fruit note - no berry, no peach, no mango, nothing tropical - so the fruit half of your requirement rules out nothing at all in this range. Which means the choice gets made on the second half, the one underneath: sweetness. Fruity perfume on the mainstream shelf is nearly always fruity-sweet, because fruit is flesh and flesh is too soft to hold a composition together, so it gets built over vanilla, tonka, caramel or amber in the base. Almost everybody objecting to fruit is also objecting to that. So: Mastani carries vanilla and tonka and comes off the list. Nawaab carries amber alongside its oud, tobacco and leather, and is the heaviest thing we make for skin. Ameeri is dry rather than sweet - Taif rose, real Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron and soft oudh - but it contains rose and oudh, so it survives only if neither of those is ruled out. What is left standing is Adaa: bergamot and green cardamom on top, neroli and jasmine sambac in the heart, white musk in the base. No fruit, no vanilla, no tonka, no amber, no oud, no rose. On the SOSA perfume line the rule-outs are blunter: Chashni is a sweet fruity-gourmand and is the exact accord in your question, Zaffran is a saffron sweet-amber and Tabac Noir a tobacco-vanilla. The Pack of 3 at ₹1,055 is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani and contains no Adaa, so it is wrong on price and wrong on contents. Now the rule I want you to keep, because it is the thing this whole family exists to teach: citrus is peel and fruit is flesh. Peel oil is pressed from the rind: bitter before it is bright, sharp, and among the fastest-evaporating materials a perfumer has. Flesh is sweet, round and slow. Bergamot is citrus, not fruit, which is why Adaa reads bright without reading juicy - and why you should stop crossing bergamot, lemon, grapefruit and neroli off listings. Buy the 3ml at ₹379, because we sell no attar sampler and no discovery set, so the smallest bottle of one attar is the sample; the 6ml is ₹669 and the 12ml ₹1,149 once you know. Adaa is alcohol-free, carries no DPG, sits on a skin-safe jojoba and sandalwood base, and wears 6-8 hours, the only longevity figure SOSA publishes. Two disclosures. Adaa carries jasmine sambac in a supporting role, and if jasmine is also out then none of our four attars is your bottle. And this is a recommendation about preference and nothing else: SOSA publishes no outcome claim for a fragrance, because there is no honest way to measure one, and makes no health or skin-safety claim of any kind. Ask for an attar recommendation and send me the last three you put back.
Buy the 3ml of Adaa at ₹379. None of SOSA's four attars is fruity, so the decision is made on sweetness instead: Mastani goes on its vanilla and tonka, and Chashni, Zaffran, Tabac Noir and the Pack of 3 go by name. The rule to keep is that citrus is peel, so bergamot is not fruit.
The bottle is one SOSA Adaa - bergamot and green cardamom on top, neroli and jasmine sambac in the heart, white musk underneath. No fruit, no vanilla, no tonka, no amber and no oud. Alcohol-free, no DPG carriers, wears 6-8 hours. ₹379 for the 3ml, which is the sample size.

The family's conclusion, with its working shown
Fruit rules nothing out in this range, so the decision gets made on the sweetness underneath it

The bottle, and the size to buy

One attar and one honest alternative if you would rather spray than dab. Both cards link through to the product pages, and the attar's note list is published in full so you can check the elimination for yourself.

SOSA Adaa
The decision, in one bottle and one size
SOSA Adaa, 3ml
Bergamot and green cardamom on top, neroli and jasmine sambac in the heart, white musk in the base. The only one of SOSA's four attars with no vanilla, no tonka, no amber and no oud, and none of the four has a fruit note at all. Alcohol-free, wears 6-8 hours. ₹379 for the 3ml, and the jasmine sambac is disclosed.
From ₹379
SOSA Khayaal
If you would rather spray than dab
SOSA Khayaal, 10ml
Not an attar. On the SOSA perfume line, described by SOSA name and accord only: a sparkling bergamot and neroli. Citrus peel and a white flower, which is the bright direction rather than the juicy one. No note list and no wear figure is published for the line, so if you want the full composition before buying, stay with the attars. ₹599 for 10ml.
From ₹599
SOSA Adaa
The attar left standing after both rules are applied
SOSA Adaa
3ml, 6ml and 12ml at ₹379, ₹669 and ₹1,149. Published notes: bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk. An alcohol-free perfume oil with no DPG carriers on a skin-safe jojoba and sandalwood base, composed by an ISIPCA Versailles-trained perfumer and hand-blended in Pune. It wears 6-8 hours, which is the only longevity figure SOSA publishes. Positioned for office hours and daytime weddings. No fruit note, no vanilla, no tonka, no amber, no oud and no rose.

The elimination, done in public

Three steps, and the middle one is where the actual decision happens. A pillar page should show its working, so here it is with nothing left out.

1
Apply the fruit rule first
It rules out nothing among the attars, which is why the page cannot stop there
Adaa: bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac, white musk. Ameeri: Taif rose, real Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh. Mastani: night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla, tonka. Nawaab: white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather, amber. That is the complete range, and there is no berry, no stone fruit and nothing tropical in it anywhere. On the perfume line there is exactly one product built on that idea - Chashni, a sweet fruity-gourmand - and it is named here so that you avoid it rather than find it. So four attars go in and four come out, which is why the second rule matters more.
Tip: If a listing gives you an accord rather than a note list, you cannot apply this rule to it at all. Ask, or buy the smallest size.
SOSA Adaa
One bottle of Adaa from ₹379 is the whole purchase here.
See SOSA Adaa →
2
Then apply the sweetness rule
This is where three of the four fall away, and where the money is saved
Fruit is flesh and flesh is too soft to hold a fragrance together for a working day, so it is nearly always built over vanilla, tonka, caramel or amber. Which means almost everybody who arrives objecting to fruit is also objecting to sugar, usually without having separated the two. Apply that rule and Mastani goes on its vanilla and tonka. Nawaab carries amber, and is the heaviest composition SOSA makes for skin, so it goes for most readers here. Ameeri is genuinely dry rather than sweet, but it carries Taif rose and soft oudh, so it survives only if neither is on your list. Adaa is left: white musk in the base, and nothing that arrives late and turns syrupy.
Tip: Read the last two notes of every listing before the first two. Vanilla, tonka, caramel, amber and benzoin are all base materials.
SOSA Adaa
One bottle of Adaa from ₹379 is the whole purchase here.
See SOSA Adaa →
3
Then keep one rule for next time
Citrus is peel and fruit is flesh - and bergamot is peel, which is the sentence to remember
This is the rule the whole family is built on, and it is worth more to you than the bottle. Peel oil is pressed from the rind: bitter before it is bright, sharp, faintly green, and gone inside half an hour. Flesh is sweet, round and slow, and propped up from below. So bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, mandarin and lime are citrus notes and not fruit notes, and neroli is the flower of the bitter orange tree, which puts it in the same character family. Crossing those off a listing is the commonest mistake readers of this family make, and it pushes them towards heavy compositions they never asked for. Bergamot is why Adaa reads bright without reading juicy.
SOSA Khayaal
One bottle of Khayaal from ₹599 is the whole purchase here.
See SOSA Khayaal →
The SOSA principle
Zero fruity vibe is a decision made twice - once about fruit, which rules nothing out in a range of four attars, and once about sweetness, which rules out three of them.
Which is why a page that only answered the question as asked would have handed you any bottle in the range and been no use to you at all.
SOSA Adaa
The bottle and the size, together: Adaa 3ml at ₹379 - no fruit, no vanilla, no tonka, no amber, no oud. SOSA sells no sampler, so the smallest bottle is the sample size.

The four attars against your two rules

The whole range with its published notes, plus the products ruled out, set against the two rules this decision runs on.

The SOSA shortlist
Every SOSA attar, and where it lands once fruit and sweetness are both applied
The product What to do
SOSA AdaaAdaa - bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac, white musk
Standing. No fruit, no vanilla, no tonka, no amber, no oud, no rose, and the lightest of the four. ₹379 for the 3ml, which is the size to buy. Its jasmine sambac is disclosed.
Ameeri - Taif rose, real Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh
No fruit and genuinely not sweet, so it passes both rules - but it carries rose and oudh, so it survives only for a reader who has ruled out neither. ₹385 for the 3ml.
Mastani - night jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla, tonka
Out. No fruit in it at all, but the vanilla and tonka in its base are the sweetness that fruit usually rides on, which is what most readers here are actually avoiding.
Nawaab - white royal oud, sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, tobacco, leather, amber
Out for most readers here. No fruit, and dry-warm rather than sweet, but it carries amber and it is the heaviest thing SOSA makes for skin.
Chashni, on the SOSA perfume line
Out, and named. A sweet fruity-gourmand, which is the exact accord in the question. Zaffran, a saffron sweet-amber, and Tabac Noir, a tobacco-vanilla, are out with it.
Pack of 3, ₹1,055
Out twice over. It is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - the three heaviest attars - and it contains no Adaa. It is three full-size bottles rather than a sampler, and SOSA sells no sampler.

If you arrived here from a search rather than from the family, the page that opens with the good news is I hate fruity perfumes - which attar should I buy, and it is the shortest route to the same bottle. And if you are about to buy something you cannot smell first, read which attar to blind buy when fruit is an immediate no, which is the three-step method and the arithmetic on the Pack of 3. SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house and every attar named here is its own composition.

SOSA Adaa
The rule-outs, by name: Chashni is a sweet fruity-gourmand, Zaffran a saffron sweet-amber, Tabac Noir a tobacco-vanilla, and Mastani carries vanilla and tonka. All four are wrong here.

SOSA makes exactly four attars, and this page has put all four in front of you with their notes rather than handing you a shortlist with the awkward parts removed. The decision, with its rule-outs: SOSA makes exactly four attars and none of them is fruity, so Adaa is chosen on sweetness - and Mastani, Chashni, Zaffran, Tabac Noir and the Pack of 3 at ₹1,055 are all named on this page as wrong for you. Keep one rule: citrus is peel, fruit is flesh, and bergamot is peel. The only longevity figure SOSA publishes is that the attars wear 6-8 hours; nothing is published for the perfume line or the solid body perfumes, so no figure is given for them here, and no note list is published for the solids at all, which is why this page never tells you how one of them smells. SOSA publishes no outcome claim for a fragrance, because there is no honest way to measure one - nothing about compliments, nothing about being noticed, nothing about how what you wear reads to anybody else - and makes no health or skin-safety claim of any kind, because how your skin behaves is a question for a doctor rather than for a perfumer. A note from Sonal

This is the page I would send somebody if they only had five minutes, so let me be blunt about what it does and does not do. It names one bottle, the smallest size of it, and everything I ruled out to get there including three of our own perfumes and the only multi-pack we sell. What it will not do is talk you into fruit, or explain that a well-made peach is different, or suggest you have simply not met the right one. You told me fruit is out. It is out, and we are past it in the first line.

The perfumery is two sentences long and both of them are useful away from this shop. First: no attar we make contains a fruit note, so your stated requirement does not narrow a range of four at all - and the reason you still need a recommendation is that the complaint underneath is almost always sweetness. Fruit is flesh, flesh is too soft to hold a composition together for eight hours, so it gets built over vanilla, tonka, caramel or amber, and that base is what people are really running from. Second, and this is the one to keep: citrus is peel. Pressed from the rind, bitter before it is bright, and gone in half an hour. Bergamot is peel. Which is why Adaa reads bright without reading juicy, and why crossing bergamot off a listing is the most expensive mistake in this family.

So the answer is Adaa at ₹379 for 3ml, and the 3ml because we sell no sampler and that is how you test an attar without committing ₹1,149 to a guess. Ruled out by name: Chashni as a sweet fruity-gourmand, Zaffran as a saffron sweet-amber, Tabac Noir as a tobacco-vanilla, Mastani for its vanilla and tonka, and the Pack of 3 for being the three heaviest attars we make with no Adaa in it. Adaa carries jasmine sambac in a supporting role, and if jasmine is also out then none of our four is your bottle and I would rather say so. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

Which SOSA attar should I choose if I want zero fruity-perfume vibe?
SOSA Adaa, and buy the 3ml at Rs 379. SOSA makes exactly four attars and none of them contains a fruit note, so the choice is made on the sweetness that usually travels with fruit. Adaa is the only one of the four with no vanilla, no tonka, no amber and no oud: bergamot and green cardamom on top, neroli and jasmine sambac in the heart, white musk in the base. Its jasmine sambac is disclosed.
What is ruled out on this page, and why?
Chashni, on the SOSA perfume line, because it is a sweet fruity-gourmand and is the exact accord in the question. Zaffran, a saffron sweet-amber, and Tabac Noir, a tobacco-vanilla, because both carry the sweetness. Mastani, because it carries vanilla and tonka even though it has no fruit. And the Pack of 3 at Rs 1,055, because it is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, the three heaviest attars, and it excludes Adaa entirely.
Is bergamot a fruit note I should avoid?
No, and this is the rule worth keeping. Citrus is peel and fruit is flesh. Bergamot oil is pressed from the rind of a small sour citrus nobody eats, and it is bitter before it is bright, sharp, and among the fastest-evaporating materials in perfumery. Fruit flesh is sweet, round and slow. So bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, mandarin and neroli are not warnings on a listing - they are the opposite of what you are avoiding.
Why does a fruit dislike not narrow down SOSA's attars?
Because there is no fruit note in any of them. Adaa is bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk. Ameeri is Taif rose, real Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron and soft oudh. Mastani is night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka. Nawaab is white royal oud, sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber. The requirement that does the work is sweetness, not fruit.
What size should I buy, and is there a sampler?
Buy the 3ml. SOSA sells no attar sampler and no discovery set, so the 3ml is the sample size by default: Rs 379 for Adaa, with the 6ml at Rs 669 and the 12ml at Rs 1,149 once you know it suits you. The Pack of 3 at Rs 1,055 is not a sampler either, since it is three full-size attars and does not include Adaa. Wear the 3ml for a whole day and judge the drydown.

And the rule to keep: Citrus is peel and fruit is flesh. Bergamot is peel, so stop crossing it off listings - it is the opposite of the thing you are avoiding.

All four are alcohol-free perfume oils with no DPG carriers, on a skin-safe jojoba and sandalwood base, composed by an ISIPCA Versailles-trained perfumer and hand-blended in Pune, and the only longevity figure SOSA publishes for them is that they wear 6-8 hours. The Pack of 3 (₹1,055, ₹1,859 and ₹3,189) is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, and it does not include Adaa. The SOSA perfume line - including Khayaal and Samundar - comes in 10ml, 50ml and 100ml and is referred to on these pages by its SOSA name and its accord only. SOSA publishes no note list and no longevity figure for the solid body perfumes or for the perfume line, so neither is given here, and how a solid body perfume smells is never described. SOSA sells no attar sampler and no discovery set, which is why the 3ml is the sample size and is what these pages recommend buying first. Free shipping above ₹499 is the only logistics fact stated on these pages. Choosing a fragrance is a matter of preference: SOSA makes no health, skin-safety, hypoallergenic, therapeutic or wellbeing claim for any fragrance, makes no claim about compliments, confidence or any other outcome of wearing one, and offers nothing here as medical advice - a reaction on skin is a conversation for a doctor rather than for a perfumer.
