Most sales galleries that smell uneven do not have a machine problem, they have a placement problem: the unit is on the floor behind a scale model, or in a corner the air-conditioning never reaches. Here is where each machine actually goes, and why.
Quick answers — read this first
Where should you place a scent machine in a real estate sales gallery? On the air path, not in a corner. Put the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) about 2 to 3 metres inside the entrance so the door blast does not strip it, or directly beside the air-conditioning return so the AC distributes the scent for you. Mount it 1.2 to 1.8 metres high, out of reach of buyers and children, and use the key-lock because it is a public floor.
Can a scent machine be mounted on the wall or the HVAC in a sales gallery? Yes. The SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is freestanding, wall-mountable or HVAC-mountable, which is why placement is a free decision rather than a plumbing job. In a gallery on central air handling, mounting to the duct gives the most even result. In a tall or very large volume, use the SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the HVAC instead.
How high should a scent diffuser be placed in a sales gallery? Roughly 1.2 to 1.8 metres, which is chest to head height, and never aimed at a seated buyer's face. Scent needs to be released into moving air and then allowed to fall and spread. A SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) at floor level behind furniture is the most common reason a gallery smells uneven.
The short answer
Short answer: put the machine on the air path - a SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) about 2 to 3 metres inside the entrance or beside the AC return, wall-mounted 1.2 to 1.8 metres high, out of reach of buyers and children, key-locked, and never in a dead corner behind a model or a curtain.
The pick: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999), which is freestanding, wall-mountable or HVAC-mountable, stepping up to the SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) when the volume is tall or ducted enough that the duct is the only sensible mounting point.
Next step: send your gallery layout with the AC returns marked and we will pin the positions for you - book a free zoning plan.
Placement is the cheapest variable in a scenting plan and the one most often got wrong. The Vaayu is freestanding, wall-mountable or HVAC-mountable, so put it where the air moves and out of reach of the public.
The shortlist for a sales gallery - tap either machine
Where exactly should the scent machine go inside a sales gallery?
Put it where the air is already moving. Fragrance does not push itself across a room; it rides the air-conditioning, and a machine placed outside that path will scent one square metre beautifully and nothing else. In practice there are two good positions for a SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) in a gallery: beside the air-conditioning return, where the system picks the scent up and redistributes it through the whole loop, or 2 to 3 metres inside the main entrance, set back far enough that the door blast does not strip it every time a family walks in. Mount it at 1.2 to 1.8 metres, which is chest to head height, and never point the nozzle at a seated buyer. The Vaayu is freestanding, wall-mountable or HVAC-mountable, so the position is a free choice, not a compromise around a socket. Because a gallery is a public floor with children in it, use the key-lock and keep the unit out of reach; it runs under 38dB, so it can sit behind reception without anyone hearing it. Where it must not go: a dead corner, a cupboard, behind a scale model, inside a curtained pod or directly under a supply grille that blows the scent straight out of the room. If the gallery is double height or fully ducted, stop placing boxes and put one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the HVAC. And the honest note: placement will not rescue a space that still smells of fresh paint or adhesive - cure and ventilate first. A free zoning plan will mark the positions on your drawing, and A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Beside the AC return or 2 to 3 metres inside the entrance, mounted 1.2 to 1.8 metres high, key-locked, out of reach, and never in a dead corner.
The machine you are placing is the SOSA Vaayu - waterless, under 38dB, rated to 1000m³ (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft), freestanding, wall-mount or HVAC-mount, with a key-lock for public spaces and 1h/4h/8h/24h timers. Placement is free; use it.
Two machines get placed in a sales gallery, and the mounting options are the reason placement is easy. Both pictures link to the product page so your projects team can check the fixing details before the fit-out drawing is frozen.
Waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³ - about 2,000-3,000 sq ft. 400ml tank lasting up to 75 days, Bluetooth app with 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, under 38dB, freestanding, wall-mount or HVAC-mount, auto-stop and key-lock for public spaces. Place it on the air path and it does the whole floor.
HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³ - roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft. 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules, under 42dB. Connects to the building's HVAC and rides the existing airflow, or runs standalone wall-mounted.
1000m³ coverage (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft), 400ml tank lasting up to 75 days, Bluetooth app and 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, under 38dB, freestanding or wall and HVAC mount, auto-stop and key-lock. CE, RoHS and SGS certified. Made in India.
The three placement rules that decide whether a gallery smells even
Placement comes down to three things: the air path, the height, and who can reach the machine. Get those right and the gallery is even by the second morning.
1
Follow the air, not the floor plan
Beside the AC return, or 2 to 3 metres inside the door
Scent moves the way the air moves. The single best position in most galleries is next to the air-conditioning return, because the system then carries the fragrance through the whole loop and does the distribution work for free. The second best is a few metres inside the main entrance, set back from the door so the pressure blast does not strip the scent every time it opens. Directly under a supply grille is the worst of both: the scent is blown out of the room before it has spread.
Tip: walk the gallery with a tissue held up at head height and you will find the air path in two minutes.
The Vaayu is freestanding, wall-mountable or HVAC-mountable, so you can put it exactly where the air is.
A machine on the floor scents ankles. A machine at chest to head height releases into moving air and lets the fragrance fall and spread the way it should. Keep the outlet pointing into open space rather than at a seated buyer, a sofa or a curtain, and keep at least half a metre of clear air in front of it. Behind a scale model, inside a media unit or in a cupboard are not placements, they are hiding places, and they are the most common reason a gallery smells of nothing.
In a tall or fully ducted gallery, the honest answer is not a higher shelf but the Angaan on the HVAC, scenting up to 3,000m³ on the airflow you already have.
Buyers bring children, and children touch things. Keep the unit out of easy reach, use the key-lock so nobody adjusts the intensity between site visits, and route the low-voltage supply so there is no trailing cable across a walkway. It runs under 38dB, which sits under the noise of the air-conditioning, so reception and consultation areas are fair game. Waterless matters here too: no damp, no residue on veneer, fabric or a scale model.
Tip: lock the intensity once the plan is signed off, or it will drift within a fortnight.
The Vaayu has auto-stop and a key-lock for public spaces, and schedules on 1h, 4h, 8h and 24h timers.
A machine in the wrong place looks like a machine that is too small. Nine times out of ten the fix is a metre of wall, not a bigger unit.
Ask where the air goes before you ask where the plug is.
When the duct is the placement: SOSA Angaan connects to your HVAC and scents up to 3,000m³ - about 8,000-10,000 sq ft - which is the honest answer for a tall or fully ducted gallery, ₹25,999.
Two machines, and the mounting options are the whole reason placement is simple. Both are waterless, so there is no damp and no residue on models, veneer or fabric, both are made in India, and both are quiet enough to sit on a public floor. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
A quick word on placement: the air path decides the result, the height decides whether it spreads, and the key-lock decides whether the plan survives contact with a busy sales team. One honest note - fragrance works alongside ventilation and cleaning and cannot cover fresh paint, adhesive or damp, and we make no claim that scent influences a purchase decision. The fastest way to get it right is a free zoning plan marked on your own drawing.

A note from Sonal
I have walked into galleries where the fragrance was perfect for exactly one square metre, right beside a machine tucked behind a scale model, and dead everywhere else. The developer's conclusion was always the same: we need more machines. They did not. They needed one machine a metre to the left, on the air path.
My rule is boring and it works. Find the air-conditioning return, put the Vaayu beside it or a few metres inside the entrance, mount it at chest to head height, and lock it. It is freestanding, wall-mountable or HVAC-mountable, so there is no excuse to hide it in a cupboard. If the volume is genuinely tall or fully ducted, the placement answer is the duct itself and the machine is an Angaan.
And the part I say to every developer: fragrance cannot cover a construction smell. Paint, adhesive, new PVC and damp need curing, ventilation and time, and scent layered over them gives you both at once. Air the space out properly, then let the fragrance do the quiet work. We also make no claim that scent influences a purchase decision - it makes a room feel finished, and that is enough. Everything is made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
Where should you place a scent machine in a real estate sales gallery?
On the air path. The two best positions are beside the air-conditioning return, so the system distributes the scent through the whole loop, or about 2 to 3 metres inside the main entrance, set back so the door blast does not strip it. Mount the SOSA Vaayu (Rs 11,999) at 1.2 to 1.8 metres, out of reach of buyers and children, and never in a dead corner, a cupboard or behind a scale model.
Can the Vaayu be wall mounted or connected to the HVAC?
Yes. The Vaayu is freestanding, wall-mountable or HVAC-mountable, which is why placement is a free decision. In a gallery on central air handling, mounting to the duct gives the most even result. If the volume is double height or 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft, use the SOSA Angaan (Rs 25,999) on the HVAC instead of stacking small units.
Is a scent machine safe to leave on a public sales floor?
Yes, with two precautions. Keep it out of easy reach because buyers bring children, and use the key-lock so nobody adjusts the intensity between site visits. The Vaayu runs under 38dB, which is under the noise of most air-conditioning, and it is waterless, so there is no damp or residue on veneer, fabric or a scale model.
How far from the entrance door should the machine be?
About 2 to 3 metres inside. Right at the threshold the pressure change every time the door opens pulls the fragrance straight out, so you end up running a higher intensity for a worse result. Set it back, let the entrance air settle, and the scent reads properly from the first step inside.
Will moving the machine fix a gallery that smells of paint?
No. Paint, adhesive, new PVC and damp need curing, ventilation and time. Fragrance layered on top gives you both smells at once, which is worse than either. Air the space out properly first, then place the machine and scent the clean space.
Place it once, forget it: SOSA Vaayu on the air path, key-locked, scheduled on the app to your site-visit calendar. ₹11,999.
The SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is freestanding, wall-mountable or HVAC-mountable, covers up to 1000m³ (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft), runs under 38dB and key-locks for public spaces; the SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) takes a tall or fully ducted volume on your HVAC.
