★ One machine, or one per genuinely separate room
✓ An open floor is one air space - one machine sized to it beats several small ones ✓ Zoning is for doored rooms on separate air handling, never for distance alone ✓ Made in India · independent, not affiliated with any hotel · a portion funds girl-child education

Almost every showroom owner asking about "zones" is describing distance across an open floor, not a separate room - so here is the honest test for when one machine is right, and when zoning genuinely earns its keep.
Quick answers — read this first
Should a smart-home showroom use one scent machine or multiple zones? Usually one machine, sized to the room's total volume. An open-plan showroom is a single shared air space, so several small machines end up competing rather than covering the floor evenly. One SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) or, for a larger floor, one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the HVAC gives an even level throughout.

When does zoning make sense in a showroom? Only when a room is genuinely separated by a door and its own air conditioning - a private consultation suite or a home-theatre demo room, for example. That room should get its own machine and its own schedule. Distance across an open floor is not the same as a separate zone if the air is shared.

Why not use several small scent machines instead of one bigger one? Because an open floor is one connected air volume, and several small machines placed around it tend to create uneven pockets - strong near each unit, weaker between them - rather than one consistent level. One machine sized to the total volume distributes more evenly.
The short answer
Short answer: usually one machine, sized to the showroom's total volume - an open-plan floor is one shared air space, so several small units compete rather than cover it evenly; zoning only makes sense for rooms genuinely separated by doors and their own air conditioning.
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) or one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) sized to the whole open floor, with zoning reserved for genuinely separate rooms.
Next step: send us your floor plan and tell us which rooms have doors and separate AC - book a free scenting plan.
One air space, one machine - the zoning rule for a showroomOpen-plan floor, shared air = ONE machine sized to volumeDoored, separately air-conditioned rooms = zoning makes senseSeveral small machines in one open volume = compete, not coverWhole floor on central HVAC = one Angaan, not per-room unitsZone by doors and air handling, never by distance
An open-plan showroom is one air space no matter how it is laid out on paper, so it usually wants one machine sized to the volume - zoning only earns its keep when rooms are genuinely separated by doors and air handling.
Straight answer
Should my showroom have one scent machine or several fragrance zones?
The test is doors and air handling, not distance or how the floor plan is drawn. An open-plan showroom, however large it looks on paper, is one shared body of air - if the reception and the back demo wall are on the same air-conditioning loop, they are one air space, not two zones. In that case, one machine sized to the total volume does a better job than several small ones: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) for up to 1000m³, or one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the HVAC for a larger floor. Several small machines scattered around one open volume tend to create pockets - strong near each unit, faint between them - which reads as inconsistent rather than considered, and wastes fragrance oil in the process. Zoning genuinely earns its place only where a space has its own door and its own separate air conditioning: a private consultation room, a home-theatre demo suite, a sample apartment attached to the showroom. Give that room its own machine and its own schedule, because the door is what actually separates the air, not the plan drawing. A free scenting plan will confirm which parts of your showroom are genuinely separate air volumes, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
An open floor is one air space - one machine sized to it, not several. Zoning is for rooms with their own door and their own AC.
For most open-plan showrooms the answer is one SOSA Vaayu sized to the whole floor - waterless, under 38dB, rated to 1000m³. Add a separate machine only for a genuinely doored room on its own air handling.

The machines for one air space, or several

The two machines below cover most zoning decisions - one sized to the open floor, and a separate one only for a genuinely doored room.

SOSA Vaayu

SOSA Vaayu
Waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³ - about 2,000-3,000 sq ft. The right choice for one shared open floor rather than several small units competing in it.

SOSA Angaan
A large open floor on central HVAC
SOSA Angaan
HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body and programmable schedules. Distributes evenly across a large shared air space using the building's own airflow.
From ₹25,999
SOSA Vaayu
A genuinely separate, doored demo room
SOSA Vaayu (second unit)
A room with its own door and its own air conditioning is a genuine zone. Give it its own Vaayu and its own schedule, run softer or stronger than the main floor as the space calls for.
From ₹11,999
SOSA Vaayu
The machine for one shared open floor
SOSA Vaayu Waterless Diffuser
1000m³ coverage (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft), 400ml tank lasting up to 75 days, Bluetooth app and 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, under 38dB, freestanding or wall and HVAC mount, auto-stop and key-lock. CE, RoHS and SGS certified. Made in India.

The real test - doors and air handling, not floor plan

Three questions settle whether your showroom needs one machine or genuine zones.

1
Is the air actually shared?
Check the air conditioning loop, not the floor plan
Two areas that look separate on a floor plan - a reception and a demo hall, say - are often on the same air-conditioning system, which makes them one connected air volume whatever the drawing suggests. If the air moves freely between them, they are one zone, and one machine sized to that combined volume is the right answer.
Tip: ask your HVAC consultant which spaces share a loop before deciding on zones.
SOSA Vaayu
One Vaayu sized to the shared volume covers what several small units would otherwise fight over.
See SOSA Vaayu →
2
Is there a door between the spaces?
A door is what actually creates a zone
A private consultation room, a home-theatre demo suite, a sample apartment off the main floor - these are genuine zones because a closed door stops the main floor's air, and its fragrance, from reaching them. That is the honest signal to add a separate machine, not the number of metres between two points on an open floor.
SOSA Angaan
For the main open floor, the Angaan uses the building's HVAC to cover the whole shared volume evenly.
See SOSA Angaan →
3
Would several small machines actually help?
Usually not, on one open floor
Placing three or four small machines around one open showroom does not create three or four zones - it creates uneven pockets in one shared space, stronger near each unit and weaker between them. That reads as inconsistent, not as thorough, and one correctly sized machine almost always performs better.
Tip: more machines in one shared air space usually means less even coverage, not more.
SOSA Vaayu
The Vaayu app's adjustable intensity lets one machine cover a large open floor evenly instead.
See SOSA Vaayu →
The SOSA principle
A zone is a room with a door and its own air, not a point on a floor plan that feels far from another point.
Get that test right and the machine count almost always comes out lower than people expect.
SOSA Angaan
For a large open floor: SOSA Angaan connects to your HVAC and scents up to 3,000m³ - about 8,000-10,000 sq ft - ₹25,999.

If your floor is large enough that the volume itself is the open question rather than zoning, our notes on a 2,000 sq ft experience centre and a 5,000 sq ft luxury experience centre work through the sizing arithmetic in full, and the pillar guide to automated home fragrance covers what a scheduled machine can and cannot do more broadly.

A note from Sonal

Almost every showroom owner who asks me about "zones" is really describing distance across an open floor, not a separate room. A reception 15 metres from the back demo wall feels like it should need its own machine - but if the air between them is one shared, air-conditioned volume, it is one air space, and one machine sized to that volume will do a better job than two small ones competing in it.

The honest test is doors and air handling, not distance or floor plan zones. If your showroom is genuinely open-plan, one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) sized to the total volume, or one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the HVAC for a larger floor, gives you one even level throughout. Several small machines scattered around an open floor tend to create pockets - strong near each unit, weaker between them - which reads as inconsistent rather than considered.

Zoning genuinely earns its place only where a room has its own door and its own separate air conditioning - a private consultation suite, a home-theatre demo room. That room gets its own machine and its own schedule, because the door is what actually separates the air, not the floor plan drawing. Everything is made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

Should a smart-home showroom use one scent machine or multiple zones?
Usually one machine, sized to the total volume of the open floor. An open-plan showroom shares one body of air, so several small machines end up competing rather than covering it evenly. One SOSA Vaayu, or a SOSA Angaan for a larger floor, gives one consistent level throughout.
When does it make sense to zone a showroom's fragrance?
Only when a space is genuinely separated by a door and its own air conditioning - a private consultation room or a home-theatre demo suite, for example. That room should have its own machine and schedule, since the door actually stops air, and fragrance, from moving between the spaces.
Does distance across an open showroom floor justify a separate zone?
No, not on its own. If the air is shared - the same air-conditioning loop, no door between the areas - it is one air space regardless of how far apart two points feel, and one machine sized to the total volume is the right answer, not two smaller ones.
Why do several small scent machines in one showroom smell inconsistent?
Because they are all working in the same shared body of air, creating pockets that are stronger near each machine and weaker in between, rather than one even level. A single machine sized to the room's total volume distributes more consistently.
How do I know if two areas in my showroom are one zone or two?
Check whether they share the same air-conditioning system and whether there is a door between them. If the air moves freely between the two areas, they are one zone and need one machine sized to the combined volume, not two separate ones.
