I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles, which is where a lot of the world's fine fragrance is taught, and the first thing you learn is that luxury lives in the raw material. A great Oud, a real Vetiver, a true Sandalwood - these are expensive and complex because nature made them that way. A gold cap costs the brand a few rupees. Guess which one most "luxury" car perfumes spend on.
Luxury, defined honestly
Luxury in fragrance is the quality of the material in the bottle and the skill of the person who composed it. A luxury car perfume smells deep, layered and considered - it has a story you can follow from first breath to dry-down. Packaging, weight and price can accompany luxury, but they cannot create it.
