SOSA Founder Diaries · Safar ownership
For a gift the published occasion lines are worth more than any guess about taste, and two of the four name a wedding outright. What they do not do is tell you what the person will like, so the characteristics to prioritise are the ones printed on the page rather than the ones you would have to invent.
Answer in brief
- Which attar should I gift to someone who goes to a lot of weddings? Nawaab publishes its occasion line as weddings, boardrooms, important evenings and signature wear. Ameeri publishes its occasion line as Diwali, Eid, Karwa Chauth, family weddings and festive dinners. Those are the two lines that name a wedding, so the gift is one of them rather than a guess. Nawaab is ₹399 for 3ml and Ameeri is ₹385. Nawaab carries 4.9 from 86 published customer reviews. Ameeri carries 4.9 from 104 published customer reviews.
- Is there a set, so they can choose? The Pack of 3 is ₹1,055 for the 3ml set, ₹1,859 for 6ml and ₹3,189 for 12ml, and it holds Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani. Adaa is not in it. It is the nearest thing to a discovery set in this range and it holds both of the wedding lines plus the evening-reception one. There is no sampler, no tester and no decant.
- Which characteristics should I prioritise? The ones that are printed: the three-tier pyramid, the occasion line, the self-assigned strength score, the gender line, the wear time and the rating with its count. Nothing published says what any person will like, so nothing here predicts it. What the record gives a giver is four pyramids, four occasion lines and four ratings with their counts, and those are facts rather than guesses.
The short answer
Gift Nawaab at Rs 399 for 3ml or Ameeri at Rs 385, because those are the two attars whose published occasion lines name a wedding - Nawaab reads weddings, boardrooms, important evenings and signature wear, Ameeri reads Diwali, Eid, Karwa Chauth, family weddings and festive dinners. The Pack of 3 at Rs 1,055 for the 3ml set holds both plus Mastani, and Adaa is not in it. Nawaab carries 4.9 from 86 published customer reviews and Ameeri 4.9 from 104.
The characteristic to prioritise: the occasion line, because it is the only published field that speaks to how somebody actually spends their evenings. Four lines, four different weeks, and two of them name a wedding. Everything else on the page describes the bottle; that line describes the use.

- Questions people ask
I want to gift an attar to someone who attends frequent weddings and formal events. Which fragrance characteristics should I prioritize?
The honest starting point for a gift is that you are not buying for a category, you are buying for a person whose preferences you either know or do not. Nothing published says what any person will like, so nothing here predicts it. What the record gives a giver is four pyramids, four occasion lines and four ratings with their counts, and those are facts rather than guesses. So what follows is the published record and the one field in it that answers your question directly. Nawaab publishes its occasion line as weddings, boardrooms, important evenings and signature wear. Ameeri publishes its occasion line as Diwali, Eid, Karwa Chauth, family weddings and festive dinners. Two of the four lines name a wedding, one of them names it first, and between them they also cover boardrooms, important evenings, festive dinners and signature wear - which is as close to frequent weddings and formal events as a printed line can get. Adaa publishes its occasion line as office hours, business lunches, daytime weddings, meetings and summer wear. Adaa names daytime weddings, so three of the four touch a wedding in some form, and the fourth names evening receptions. Mastani publishes its occasion line as anniversaries, date nights, evening receptions and signature wear. Now the two bottles in full, because a gift should be chosen on what is in it. Nawaab publishes Kashmir saffron, black pepper and cardamom in its opening, white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf in its heart, and amber, leather and white musk in its base. Nawaab's mood line reads regal, refined, long-wearing, never aggressive. Nawaab's published strength figure is 9.5, the deepest in the SOSA attar range. It is ₹399 for 3ml, ₹699 for 6ml and ₹1,199 for 12ml. Nawaab carries 4.9 from 86 published customer reviews. Nawaab publishes its gender line as designed for masculine luxury, unisex on skin. Ameeri publishes Persian saffron, pink pepper and bergamot in its opening, Taif rose and Indian sandalwood in its heart, and soft oudh, amber and white musk in its base. Ameeri's mood line reads warm, festive, opulent, never theatrical. Ameeri's published strength figure is 9.0, the festive warm middle of the range. It is ₹385 for 3ml, ₹679 for 6ml and ₹1,165 for 12ml. Ameeri carries 4.9 from 104 published customer reviews. Ameeri publishes its gender line as unisex, and the warmth reads equally on men and women. Those are customer reviews Sonal collated over WhatsApp, which is why I quote the count beside the figure rather than the figure on its own. All four publish the word unisex. Adaa and Ameeri print it outright, and the two with a stated leaning, Mastani and Nawaab, print the word unisex in the same breath. That is not my reading of the range; it is the line on each product page. That matters for a gift more than it looks, because it means you do not have to decide anything about the recipient's taste in order to buy either bottle honestly. On the characteristics you asked me to prioritise, here is the list the record supports, in order. First the occasion line, because it is the only published field about use rather than about the bottle. Second the base tier, because that is where a dislike gets settled: Madagascar vanilla and tonka bean are published in Mastani's base and in no other pyramid in this range, so a reader who dislikes sweetness can rule one bottle out on published words and keep the other three. Third the self-assigned strength score. The strength figures are SOSA's own self-assigned scores out of ten, on a scale SOSA invented and nobody else uses: Adaa 8.5, Ameeri 9.0, Mastani 9.2 and Nawaab 9.5. Fourth the rating with its count, which is what makes a number mean anything. Fifth the wear time. All four publish the same wear time, 6 to 8 hours on skin, longer on warm or oily skin, and nothing beyond that figure is published. And if you would rather not choose at all, the set is a real option. The Pack of 3 is ₹1,055 for the 3ml set, ₹1,859 for 6ml and ₹3,189 for 12ml, and it holds Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani. Adaa is not in it. It holds both wedding lines and the evening-reception one, so a recipient who is out several evenings a week gets three published occasions in one box, and the bottle it leaves out is the daytime office one. Bought singly at 3ml, Ameeri at ₹385 plus Nawaab at ₹399 plus Mastani at ₹389 adds up to ₹1,173, against ₹1,055 for the pack, a difference of ₹118. SOSA publishes no projection figure and no sillage figure for any attar, so no page of mine will turn a strength figure into a distance, and it will not promise you discretion either. All four are the same format: a concentrated oil attar with a built-in dab applicator, carried in sandalwood oil and jojoba, alcohol-free and DPG-free. Bulk orders are welcome, and a custom label or logo on the product is the branding option; if you want to talk any of that through, WhatsApp is the route. Sonal Sahani trained at ISIPCA, Versailles, she designs all four attars herself, and she signs off every small batch by hand in Pune. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The field to prioritise, the two bottles, and the set
A gift is the place where published fields earn their keep, because the one thing you cannot look up is the other person's taste.
The occasion line - the only field about use, not the bottle
Nawaab publishes its occasion line as weddings, boardrooms, important evenings and signature wear. Ameeri publishes its occasion line as Diwali, Eid, Karwa Chauth, family weddings and festive dinners. Mastani publishes its occasion line as anniversaries, date nights, evening receptions and signature wear. Adaa publishes its occasion line as office hours, business lunches, daytime weddings, meetings and summer wear. Four lines, and the two that name a wedding are the first two. The pyramid tells you what is inside; the occasion line tells you where SOSA puts it in a week, and for a recipient who is out at formal events most weekends the second of those is the useful one. Nawaab's published strength figure is 9.5, the deepest in the SOSA attar range. Ameeri's published strength figure is 9.0, the festive warm middle of the range.
Nawaab ₹399 and Ameeri ₹385 at 3ml, the two wedding lines.
The base tier - where a dislike gets settled
Madagascar vanilla and tonka bean are published in Mastani's base and in no other pyramid in this range, so a reader who dislikes sweetness can rule one bottle out on published words and keep the other three. That is the single most useful sentence in this whole page for a giver, because it is the one published fact that lets you avoid a mistake rather than make a guess. Nawaab's base is amber, leather and white musk; Ameeri's is soft oudh, amber and white musk; Adaa's is white musk, vetiver and cedarwood. Nawaab also publishes aged tobacco leaf in its heart, which is worth knowing before it is unwrapped.
The set - Pack of 3 at Rs 1,055, holding three of the four
The Pack of 3 is ₹1,055 for the 3ml set, ₹1,859 for 6ml and ₹3,189 for 12ml, and it holds Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani. Adaa is not in it. So it covers both wedding lines and the evening-reception line, and the bottle it leaves out is the one whose occasion line names office hours. Bought singly at 3ml those three add up to ₹1,173 against ₹1,055 for the pack, a difference of ₹118. At 6ml they add up to ₹2,063 against ₹1,859, a difference of ₹204. There is no sampler, no tester and no decant in this range, so the pack is the nearest thing to letting somebody choose.
Pack of 3 ₹1,055 at 3ml, ₹1,859 at 6ml, ₹3,189 at 12ml.
You cannot look up the other person's taste, so buy on the field that describes the use rather than the one that would describe the preference. Two of the four lines name a wedding.
Nothing published says what any person will like
Nawaab's published pyramid, tier by tier
Nawaab publishes its opening as Kashmir saffron, black pepper and cardamom, labelled a warm metallic opening. It publishes its heart as white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf, labelled the long centre. It publishes its base as amber, leather and white musk, labelled the drydown that stays through the night. Nawaab's mood line reads regal, refined, long-wearing, never aggressive. Nawaab publishes its occasion line as weddings, boardrooms, important evenings and signature wear. Nawaab publishes its gender line as designed for masculine luxury, unisex on skin. Nawaab's published strength figure is 9.5, the deepest in the SOSA attar range. It is ₹399 for 3ml, ₹699 for 6ml and ₹1,199 for 12ml. Nawaab carries 4.9 from 86 published customer reviews. It is the dearest single bottle in the range at 12ml and the deepest published score of the four.
Nawaab 3ml is ₹399 and Ameeri 3ml is ₹385, and the Pack of 3 at ₹1,055 holds both of them plus Mastani.
View the Pack of 3What a giver can prioritise, and what nobody can
| What you are deciding | What is actually published |
|---|---|
| Frequent weddings | Published as an occasion line on three of the four. Nawaab prints weddings, Ameeri prints family weddings, Adaa prints daytime weddings. Nawaab and Ameeri are ₹399 and ₹385 at 3ml. |
| Formal events | Published as boardrooms and important evenings on Nawaab's line, festive dinners on Ameeri's and evening receptions on Mastani's. Signature wear is on Nawaab's line and Mastani's. |
| What the recipient will like | Not published, and not guessable from here. Nothing in the record predicts a person's preference, which is why a giver should read the base tier for a dislike instead of predicting a liking. |
| A set, so they can choose | The Pack of 3 at ₹1,055 for 3ml, ₹1,859 for 6ml and ₹3,189 for 12ml. It holds Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, and Adaa is not in it. No sampler, tester or decant exists. |
Ameeri is the other wedding line and the warmer-reading of the two on its own published words, so here it is in full. Ameeri publishes Persian saffron, pink pepper and bergamot in its opening, Taif rose and Indian sandalwood in its heart, and soft oudh, amber and white musk in its base. Ameeri's mood line reads warm, festive, opulent, never theatrical. Ameeri publishes its occasion line as Diwali, Eid, Karwa Chauth, family weddings and festive dinners. Ameeri publishes its gender line as unisex, and the warmth reads equally on men and women. Ameeri's published strength figure is 9.0, the festive warm middle of the range. It is ₹385 for 3ml, ₹679 for 6ml and ₹1,165 for 12ml. Ameeri carries 4.9 from 104 published customer reviews. Its heart is the one tier in the range that publishes a rose and a sandalwood together, and its base publishes no vanilla and no tonka bean, so it is a low-risk gift on published words rather than on optimism. Per millilitre the ladder inverts. Adaa works out at about ₹126 a millilitre at 3ml and about ₹96 a millilitre at 12ml; Nawaab about ₹133 against about ₹100. On all four the 12ml is roughly a quarter cheaper per millilitre than the 3ml, between about twenty-four and twenty-five per cent. For a gift that reads as a gift, the 12ml is the bottle that looks like one and the 3ml is the one that lets somebody find out whether they want the 12ml.
You cannot look up somebody else's taste, and nothing published pretends to. What you can look up is which two occasion lines name a wedding.
Four steps to a gift chosen on the record
- Read the four occasion lines. Two of them name a wedding outright.
- Read the base tiers for a dislike, not the headline for a liking.
- Check the rating against its count: 86 for Nawaab, 104 for Ameeri.
- Then choose: Nawaab Rs 399, Ameeri Rs 385, or the Pack of 3 at Rs 1,055.

Which SOSA attar should I gift to someone who attends a lot of weddings?
Nawaab at Rs 399 for 3ml or Ameeri at Rs 385, because those are the two whose published occasion lines name a wedding. Nawaab's reads weddings, boardrooms, important evenings and signature wear; Ameeri's reads Diwali, Eid, Karwa Chauth, family weddings and festive dinners.
Is there a gift set or a sampler?
The Pack of 3 is the only multi-bottle attar product: Rs 1,055 for the 3ml set, Rs 1,859 for 6ml and Rs 3,189 for 12ml. It holds Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, and Adaa is not in it. There is no sampler, no tester, no decant and no discovery set of all four.
How do I choose without knowing their taste?
Read the base tiers to avoid a dislike rather than the headline to predict a liking. Madagascar vanilla and tonka bean are published in Mastani's base and in no other pyramid, so that is the one bottle a sweetness dislike rules out. Nothing published predicts what a person will prefer.
Is there a trained perfumer behind these attars?
Sonal Sahani, who founded SOSA and trained as a perfumer at ISIPCA, Versailles. She composes all four attars herself, and every small batch is hand-blended in Pune and signed off by her before it goes out. The attar pages publish that training outright, which is the honest answer to why a hand-blended Pune attar is worth reading about at all.
Can I have it branded, or order several?
Bulk orders are welcome, and a custom label or logo on the product is the branding option. Bespoke composition is a real SOSA service. The route for all three is WhatsApp on +91 96192 18531, because no price, minimum or timeline for any of them is published and this page will not invent one.
