This page is only about the number. Not placement, not fragrance, not the schedule - just how many machines a sales gallery honestly needs, the formula that produces the answer, three worked examples, and the point at which the answer stops being more Vaayu.
Quick answers — read this first
How many scent machines does a real estate sales gallery need? Usually one. Multiply length by width by height in metres for each connected space, then divide by 1000m³, which is what one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) covers, about 2,000-3,000 sq ft. A 2,800 sq ft gallery at a normal ceiling height is one machine. A gallery split over two separately air-conditioned levels is two. If one open hall works out at three or more Vaayu, buy a single SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) instead.

Does ceiling height change how many machines I need? Yes, and it is the most common costing error in a sales gallery. A 2,000 sq ft hall at 20ft holds roughly the same air as a 4,000 sq ft floor at 10ft, so a floor-area rule of thumb under-counts tall galleries. Always work in cubic metres. One SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is rated to 1000m³.

Do I need one scent machine per room? No. You need one per connected body of moving air. Rooms that share an open plan and one air-conditioning loop are a single volume and take a single machine; rooms on separate splits are separate volumes and take their own. A sample flat with its own air-conditioning is a separate volume, so it gets its own SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999.
The short answer
Short answer: count by air volume, not by rooms. Multiply length by width by height in metres, divide by 1000m³ - the rating of one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999, about 2,000-3,000 sq ft) - and round down. Most galleries come out at one machine; three or more in a single hall means one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) instead.
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) per 1000m³ of connected air, switching to a single SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) once one open volume needs three.
Next step: send the drawings with ceiling heights marked and we will do the arithmetic with you - book a free scenting plan.

Straight answer
How many scent machines does a real estate sales gallery need?
Do the arithmetic, because the guess is nearly always high. Step one: list your connected volumes. A connected volume is a body of air that actually moves together - an open gallery where reception, desks and the model display share one air-conditioning loop is one volume, however many zones the architect drew. Step two: for each volume, multiply length by width by height in metres. Height is the step people skip, and it is the one that matters, because galleries are built tall on purpose: a 2,000 sq ft hall at 20ft holds about as much air as a 4,000 sq ft floor at 10ft. Step three: divide each volume by 1000m³, the rating of one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999), described on the product page as roughly 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft. Round down, then verify on foot. Worked examples: a 2,800 sq ft gallery at 10ft is about 790m³, so one machine. The same footprint at 20ft is about 1,580m³, so two. A gallery over two separately air-conditioned levels is two regardless of the total. A sample flat on its own splits is its own volume and its own machine. And the ceiling on the whole method: if one open hall computes to three or more Vaayu, stop counting and put a single SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the air handling, because three small machines in one volume produce three fragrance gradients rather than one even room. Where each machine then goes is a separate question, answered in the placement guide. A free scenting plan will check your numbers, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Length x width x height in metres, divided by 1000, rounded down, per connected volume. Three or more in one hall means you need one Angaan, not three Vaayu.
The unit of the count is the SOSA Vaayu, rated to 1000m³ (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft) at ₹11,999. Waterless, under 38dB, 400ml tank lasting up to 75 days, app timers and key-lock. One per connected volume, and a second only when the arithmetic asks for it.

The two machines the count can land on

A count can only produce two answers, because there are only two machines in a sales gallery specification. The arithmetic tells you which one and how many.

SOSA Vaayu
The unit of the count - one per 1000m³
SOSA Vaayu
Waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, about 2,000-3,000 sq ft. That single rating is what makes the count arithmetic instead of guesswork. 400ml tank lasting up to 75 days, Bluetooth app with 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, under 38dB, auto-stop and key-lock.
From ₹11,999
SOSA Vaayu
The second unit - a separate volume, not a second room
SOSA Vaayu (second unit)
A second machine is justified by a second body of moving air: another floor, a lounge on its own splits, or the sample flat. It is not justified by another doorway in the same open plan. Same fragrance in both, intensity matched at the threshold.
From ₹11,999
SOSA Angaan
When the count returns three or more for one hall
SOSA Angaan
HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and under 42dB running. One machine on the building airflow beats three fighting each other in one volume.
From ₹25,999
SOSA Vaayu
The machine the count is measured in
SOSA Vaayu Waterless Diffuser
Rated to 1000m³, which the product page describes as about 2,000-3,000 sq ft. 400ml tank lasting up to 75 days, Bluetooth app and onboard buttons, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, under 38dB, freestanding or wall and HVAC mount, auto-stop and key-lock. Made in India.

The three-step count, with worked examples

Three steps produce the number, and each one has a trap in it: what counts as a volume, what height does to the total, and when the answer stops being another Vaayu.

1
Step one - count volumes, not rooms
A volume is a body of air that moves together
Open the drawing and ignore the furniture layout. What you are looking for is air-conditioning zoning. Reception, sales desks and a model display under one open ceiling on one loop are a single volume and a single machine, even if the interior designer has drawn them as three areas. A consultation cabin with a door and its own split is a second volume. A sample flat in the tower is a third. This one distinction removes more machines from a quotation than anything else, because it is the difference between counting doorways and counting air.
Tip: walk the space with the air-conditioning on and follow where the air goes - that is your volume boundary.
SOSA Vaayu
One Vaayu per connected volume up to 1000m³, at ₹11,999. The rating is what turns the count into arithmetic.
See SOSA Vaayu →
2
Step two - multiply by height
Where floor-area rules of thumb quietly fail
Sales galleries are built tall to feel generous, and that generosity is air you have to scent. Take each volume in metres: length times width times height. A 2,800 sq ft gallery at a 3m ceiling is roughly 790m³, comfortably one machine. Lift the same footprint to a 6m double-height ceiling and it is about 1,580m³, which is two. Nothing on the floor plan changed. This is why we ask for sections and not just plans, and why a quotation given over the phone from a square-foot number is a guess dressed as a specification.
SOSA Angaan
Above roughly 2,000m³ in a single open hall, the Angaan is the honest answer at 3,000m³ on the building airflow.
See SOSA Angaan →
3
Step three - know when to stop
Three machines in one hall is a wrong answer, not a big one
Dividing by 1000 will happily tell you a hall needs three or four Vaayu. Do not buy them. Several nebulisers in one connected volume do not add up to an even room; they produce several gradients, and a buyer walking the route notices the steps. Once a single volume needs more than two machines, the specification changes shape: one Angaan on the air handling, rated to 3,000m³, distributing on airflow that already reaches every corner. Two Vaayu in two genuinely separate volumes is fine. Three in one is a design error.
Tip: round the count down and verify on foot before you round it up.
SOSA Vaayu
Two Vaayu in two separate volumes is a normal answer. Three in one open volume is the signal to change machine.
See SOSA Vaayu →
The SOSA principle
Every over-specified gallery I have seen was counted in rooms. Every correctly specified one was counted in cubic metres. The difference is usually three machines and about forty thousand rupees.
Round down and verify on foot. It is far easier to add a machine later than to un-scent a room.
SOSA Vaayu
The unit of the count: SOSA Vaayu, rated to 1000m³ or about 2,000-3,000 sq ft, 400ml tank lasting up to 75 days, under 38dB, ₹11,999.

Two things the count does not decide. It does not decide where the machines go, which depends on the air path rather than the arithmetic - that is covered in where should scent machines be installed in a property sales office. And it does not decide whether several units can sensibly run together across one project, which is a fair question we answer in can multiple SOSA Vaayu machines be used across one real estate project. If you want the count in the context of a whole project rather than a single gallery, the sales gallery planning pillar is the place to start.

SOSA Angaan
When the count says stop: SOSA Angaan covers up to 3,000m³, about 8,000-10,000 sq ft, on the building HVAC - one machine instead of three, ₹25,999.

The question is never how many rooms you have. It is how many separately moving bodies of air you have, and that number is almost always smaller.

The SOSA count specification

The count can only end in one of two machines. The Vaayu is the unit of measurement, rated to 1000m³; the Angaan replaces the whole stack once a single volume grows past what two Vaayu can do honestly. Both are waterless, both are made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Two cautions on the arithmetic. First, coverage figures assume a reasonably sealed, air-conditioned space; a gallery with doors propped open all day behaves like a bigger volume, and that is a ventilation decision before it is a machine decision. Second, fragrance works alongside cleaning and ventilation and cannot cover fresh paint, adhesive or damp, so no count fixes a fit-out smell. Send drawings with ceiling heights for a free scenting plan and we will confirm the number before you buy.

A note from Sonal

The first question every developer asks me is how many machines they need, and the honest answer usually disappoints the person who has already budgeted for six. It is arithmetic. Length times width times height, divided by a thousand, per body of air that actually moves together.

One Vaayu is rated to 1000m³, which the product page puts at roughly 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft, so a normal-height gallery of 2,800 sq ft is one machine and the same footprint under a double-height ceiling is two. The moment a single hall computes to three, I stop selling Vaayu and recommend one Angaan instead, because three nebulisers in one volume smell like three machines, not one building.

And the caveat I put on every count: the number assumes a clean, cured, properly ventilated space. Fragrance works alongside ventilation and cleaning and never instead of them, and it cannot cover fresh paint, adhesive or damp. We also make no claim that scent influences a purchase decision - what it does is make a finished gallery read as finished. Everything is made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

How many scent machines does a real estate sales gallery need?
Usually one. Multiply length by width by height in metres for each connected space and divide by 1000 cubic metres, which is the rating of one SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999, roughly 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft. A 2,800 sq ft gallery at a normal ceiling comes to about 790 cubic metres, so one machine. Two separately air-conditioned levels come to two. A single hall that computes to three or more should be one SOSA Angaan at Rs 25,999 instead.
Does ceiling height really change the machine count?
Yes, more than floor area does. A 2,800 sq ft gallery at a 3m ceiling is about 790 cubic metres and needs one machine. The same footprint under a 6m double-height ceiling is about 1,580 cubic metres and needs two. Nothing on the plan changed, only the air above it. Always work in cubic metres and ask for sections, not just plans.
Do I need one machine per room?
No. You need one per connected body of moving air. An open reception, sales desk area and model display sharing one air-conditioning loop is a single volume and a single machine. A cabin with its own split, or a sample flat in the tower, is a separate volume and needs its own machine.
When should I stop adding machines and buy a bigger one?
When a single connected volume computes to more than two Vaayu. Three nebulisers in one hall produce three fragrance gradients rather than one even room, and a buyer walking through notices the steps. At that point one SOSA Angaan at Rs 25,999, rated to 3,000 cubic metres and connected to the building air handling, is both cheaper to run and better to smell.
Can one machine cover two floors of a gallery?
Only if the two floors are genuinely one volume, which means an open atrium with air moving freely between them and a total under 1000 cubic metres. Two floors on separate air-conditioning are two volumes and need two machines, running the same fragrance so the stairwell does not read as a change of building.
