A sales office looks like a counting problem - reception, a waiting area, six or eight cabins, a closing room - and it is not. Fragrance travels with air, so the only list that matters is the list of separately air-conditioned volumes, and in most offices that list has one or two lines on it.
Quick answers — read this first
Do I need more than one scent machine for my real estate sales office? It depends on the air-conditioning, not the number of cabins. If reception, the open desks and the cabins sit on one loop with doors open through the day, that is one body of air and one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) covers it - an 1,800 sq ft open floor at a 10 ft ceiling is only about 510m³ against its 1000m³ rating. A closing room with its own split unit and a door that stays shut is a second body of air and needs its own machine.
Does every cabin in a sales office need its own diffuser? No. A cabin is a small volume - 120 sq ft at 10 ft is about 34m³ - and it takes its scent from the corridor air whenever the door is open. Buying eight small machines for eight cabins gives you eight slightly different rooms. One SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) on the shared loop, plus one for the genuinely sealed room, is the honest specification.
What if the whole sales office is on central ducted air-conditioning? Then stop counting rooms. Put the machine on the moving air near a return and the duct distributes it. For a floor plate beyond about 3,000m³ of ducted air, one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the AHU is cleaner than three or four separate units fighting each other.
The short answer
Short answer: count separately air-conditioned volumes, not cabins. One SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) covers 1000m³ of connected air, which is most reception-plus-open-desk floors; a closing room on its own split unit with the door shut needs a second unit, and a large ducted floor plate is one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the AHU.
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) on the shared air of reception and the open desks, a second Vaayu only for a sealed closing room, and the SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) when the ducted floor plate runs past 3,000m³.
Next step: send the air-conditioning drawing along with the floor plan and we will mark the machine count on it - book a free scenting plan.
The plan follows the air-conditioning drawing, not the seating plan. Rooms that share a loop share the fragrance; a room with its own split unit and a closed door does not.
Do I need more than one scent machine for my real estate sales office?
Look at the air-conditioning drawing, not the seating plan. If reception, the waiting sofas, the open desks and the cabins are on one loop - a common ducted return, or splits feeding a space where the cabin doors stand open most of the day - that is one body of air, and one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) covers it. An 1,800 sq ft open floor at a 10 ft ceiling is only about 510m³, comfortably inside its 1000m³ rating, and each cabin at 120 sq ft is a trivial 34m³ that takes its scent from the corridor every time the door swings. Buying eight small machines for eight cabins does not give you a scented office; it gives you eight rooms that smell slightly different from each other, which is precisely the impression a sales office cannot afford. The second machine earns its place in exactly one situation: a room with its own split unit and a door that stays shut - usually the closing or negotiation room, sometimes the director's cabin. Sealed air never receives fragrance from the floor no matter how hard you run the main unit, so give that room its own Vaayu one intensity step softer, running the same fragrance, so a client who walks in from the floor notices nothing changing. If the office is a large ducted plate, put one SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the AHU rather than three units competing on the same floor. Two honest notes: fragrance sits alongside ventilation and cleaning and cannot cover fresh paint, new carpet adhesive or damp in a recently fitted office, and we make no claim that scent influences a booking decision. A free scenting plan will mark the count on your drawing.
Count separately cooled volumes, not cabins. One Vaayu for the shared floor; a second only for a sealed closing room on its own split unit.
One SOSA Vaayu handles the shared air of a sales office - rated to 1000m³, waterless, under 38dB, a 400ml tank running up to 75 days, and app timers you can align to walk-in hours. Add a second unit only where a door stays shut on its own air-conditioning.
Two machines cover every sales office we have specified. The Vaayu handles a shared floor or a sealed room; the Angaan takes a ducted plate too big for one Vaayu to do honestly.
Waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, about 2,000-3,000 sq ft. 400ml tank lasting up to 75 days, Bluetooth app with 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, under 38dB and a key-lock. One unit covers a typical shared sales floor.
Sealed rooms never receive fragrance from the floor. Give the closing or negotiation room its own machine, same fragrance, one intensity step softer, so nothing changes as a client walks in from the desks.
HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, about 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and under 42dB running. Uses the air handling you already have instead of competing with it.
1000m³ coverage (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft), 400ml tank lasting up to 75 days, Bluetooth app and 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, under 38dB, freestanding or wall and HVAC mount, auto-stop and key-lock. DC 12V/1A, 5W. CE, RoHS and SGS certified. Made in India.
How separate air-conditioning decides your machine count
Three questions settle it: which spaces share air, which door actually stays shut, and how long the machine gets to run before the first walk-in.
1
Read the AC drawing first
Shared loop means shared fragrance
Ask for the air-conditioning layout before the furniture layout. Spaces on one ducted return, or an open plan served by splits with cabin doors open, behave as a single volume. Add their floor areas, multiply by ceiling height, divide the cubic feet by 35 and check the total against 1000m³. An 1,800 sq ft floor at 10 ft is about 510m³. Even a 3,000 sq ft floor at that height is only about 850m³, still one machine.
Tip: add the connected areas first, then divide by 1000m³. Most sales offices come out at one.
The Vaayu covers 1000m³ of connected air - more than most sales floors hold at office ceiling height.
There is usually one room where the door is closed for an hour at a time with a family inside, and it almost always has its own split unit. That air does not mix with the floor, so it receives nothing from the main machine. Give it a Vaayu of its own and run it one intensity step down: a closing room that smells stronger than the floor reads as staged, while the same scent slightly softer reads as continuous. Every other cabin can keep its door open and cost you nothing.
A second Vaayu for the sealed room, running the same fragrance one step softer, keeps the whole office reading as one place.
Thirty to forty-five minutes before the first appointment
Fragrance switched on as a family walks through the door announces itself, and a sales office cannot afford anything that looks arranged. Set the app to start half an hour to forty-five minutes before the first appointment and stop at closing, and run a lower intensity continuously on heavy days rather than a strong burst between slots. It uses less oil and it reads far better in a small office.
Tip: set the timer to walk-in hours, not to office hours.
The Vaayu app handles 1h, 4h, 8h and 24h schedules with adjustable intensity, so the front desk never has to remember it.
An office with a machine in every cabin does not smell consistent. It smells like a corridor of small decisions, and clients read inconsistency long before they name it.
One fragrance, one intensity, as few machines as the air-conditioning honestly allows.
The shared-floor machine: SOSA Vaayu, 1000m³ of connected air, 400ml tank lasting up to 75 days, Bluetooth app timers, under 38dB, ₹11,999.
Where the second machine genuinely earns its place
Here is the whole decision as a table. Shared air, one machine. Sealed air, one more. A ducted plate too large for one Vaayu, an Angaan.
The SOSA plan
Sales office sizing - what your air-conditioning is telling you
Your space
What it needs
Reception, waiting area and open desks on one loop
One SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999). An 1,800 sq ft floor at 10 ft is about 510m³, well inside its 1000m³ rating. View →
Cabins on the same loop with doors open through the day
Nothing extra. They take fragrance from the corridor air the main machine is already scenting. View →
A closing room with its own split unit and a shut door
Its own Vaayu, same fragrance, one intensity step softer than the floor. View →
A large ducted floor plate beyond 3,000m³ of connected air
One SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) on the AHU rather than three Vaayu competing on one floor. View →
Use one fragrance across the office and resist the urge to give the closing room something special - the point is that nothing changes as a client moves from the sofa to the table. If your project also runs a gallery or a sample flat, the full site plan is in our guide to planning scenting for a luxury real estate sales gallery, and if you are tallying several rooms at once, calculating scent machine quantity for multiple rooms and zones is the worksheet version of this page.
If the ducted plate is bigger than one Vaayu: SOSA Angaan connects to the AHU and covers up to 3,000m³ - about 8,000-10,000 sq ft - with an 800ml reservoir and programmable schedules, ₹25,999.
Nobody has ever walked out of a sales office because a cabin smelled different from the corridor. They just left feeling that the place was slightly unfinished.

Built for a working office
Quiet, waterless, key-locked and scheduled to your walk-in hours
Two machines, one decision. The Vaayu takes the shared floor and any sealed room; the Angaan takes a ducted plate too large for one Vaayu to do honestly. Both are waterless, so there is no damp and no residue on brochures, drawings or upholstery, and both are made in India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
On choosing: the count follows separately air-conditioned volumes, so an office of eight cabins is usually one machine and occasionally two. One honest note - fragrance works alongside ventilation and cleaning, never instead of them, and it cannot cover fresh paint, carpet adhesive or damp in a newly fitted office; cure and air the space first. SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel, and we make no claim that scent influences a booking. The quickest route to the right count is a free scenting plan.

A note from Sonal
Sales offices are where the most expensive conversation of a family's life actually happens, and they are almost always fitted out in a hurry: new paint, new carpet, new laminate, a printer running hot in the corner. The instinct is to put something fragrant in every room. The result is a corridor where each doorway smells slightly different, which is exactly the impression you do not want when a client is deciding whether you are careful people.
So I ask for the air-conditioning drawing before the floor plan. Rooms that share a loop share the fragrance, which means one Vaayu - rated to 1000m³, roughly 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft - usually covers reception, the waiting area, the open desks and every cabin whose door stands open. The one genuine exception is the closing room on its own split unit with the door shut for an hour at a time. That room gets a second machine, same scent, one step softer. A big ducted plate gets an Angaan instead.
And the honest part: fragrance cannot cover a fit-out. Fresh paint, adhesive, new PVC and damp need ventilation and time, and scent laid over them gives you both at once. Air the office properly, then let the fragrance do the quiet work. I also make no claim that scent influences a booking decision - it makes a room feel considered, which is worth having for its own sake. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need one scent machine per cabin in a sales office?
No. A cabin at 120 sq ft with a 10 ft ceiling holds only about 34 cubic metres of air, and it takes its fragrance from the corridor whenever the door is open. One SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 covers 1000 cubic metres of connected air, which is more than most reception and open-desk floors hold. Eight machines in eight cabins give you eight rooms that smell slightly different from one another.
When does a sales office genuinely need a second machine?
When a room has its own split air-conditioning and a door that stays closed, which usually means the closing or negotiation room. Sealed air receives nothing from the main floor unit however hard you run it. Give that room its own Vaayu with the same fragrance, one intensity step softer, so nothing changes as a client walks in.
What if the whole office is on central ducted air-conditioning?
Then place one machine on the moving air near a return and let the duct do the distribution. If the connected volume runs beyond about 3,000 cubic metres, one SOSA Angaan at Rs 25,999 on the air handling unit is cleaner and more even than three or four separate units on the same floor.
How long before a client walk-in should the machine start?
About thirty to forty-five minutes, so the fragrance has diffused and settled rather than announcing itself as someone walks in. The Vaayu app runs 1, 4, 8 and 24 hour schedules with adjustable intensity, so you can set it to your walk-in hours once and leave it.
Will fragrance hide the smell of a new fit-out?
No, and it should not be asked to. Paint, carpet adhesive, new PVC and damp need ventilation and curing time. Scent layered on top gives you both smells at once, which is worse than either. Air the office out properly first, then scent the clean space.

The SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) covers 1000m³ of connected air, which is most sales floors on its own; the SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) takes a large ducted plate on your air handling. Both waterless, both made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Send the AC drawing and we will confirm whether you need one machine or two.
