Group owners ask this expecting a debate about identity, and the identity part is easy: one oil, everywhere, with no exceptions. The difficulty is the part nobody asks about, which is that the same oil at the same setting will not produce the same room in two branches that hold different amounts of air.
Quick answers — read this first
Can one signature scent work across several jewellery branches? Yes, and it should — one oil, one register, no local variations, no branch manager choosing something they prefer. What must not be standardised is the intensity. A small high-street unit and a large flagship hold completely different volumes of air, and giving them the same dial number guarantees that a customer walking between the two meets two different rooms. The register is the thing your customers might recognise; the number is an engineering setting, and engineering settings belong to the building rather than to the brand.

How different can two branches actually be? Work it out rather than guessing. Square feet × ceiling height in metres × 0.0929 = cubic metres. A 900 sq ft high-street unit under a 3.0 m ceiling is 900 × 3.0 × 0.0929 — about 251 m³. A 6,000 sq ft flagship under a 4.0 m double-height ceiling is 6,000 × 4.0 × 0.0929 — about 2,230 m³. That is nine times the air. No single setting can be right for both, and the flagship is beyond one machine's rating while the small unit needs one machine running near the bottom of its range.

What about pricing and support for several branches at once? This is where I have to be blunt rather than helpful. SOSA publishes no bulk pricing, no minimum order, no GST arrangement, no custom branding, no annual maintenance contract, no warranty terms, no installation service and no lead-time commitment. Not one of those exists as something we sell, so I will not imply them. What you can do is write to us with the branch list and the volumes, and we will size each one honestly and promise nothing beyond that.
The short answer
Short answer: One register across every branch, with the level set per building. Volume decides: a 900 sq ft unit at a 3.0 m ceiling is about 251 m³, while a 6,000 sq ft flagship at 4.0 m is about 2,230 m³ — nine times the air — so an identical dial number makes the branches smell different rather than the same. Use one oil, one refill schedule, banded settings written down per shop, and one person who owns the standard.
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 per ordinary branch running the same oil at its own written setting, with the flagship handled by SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999 on its ducting.
Next step: send the branch list with each floor area and ceiling height, and we will return the cubic metres and a starting band for each shop, with no bulk terms attached because there are none — ask for a scenting plan.

Straight answer
Can one signature scent work across multiple jewellery branches in Coimbatore?
One scent, yes; one setting, no — and the second half is where these projects usually come apart. Start with what a customer could actually recognise. It is the character of the air: dry, cool, cedar and citrus, or whatever register you have chosen. That should be identical in every branch, ordered as one oil, on one refill schedule, with no branch manager substituting something they like better. So far this is simple. Now do the arithmetic that group offices almost never do, in cubic metres rather than square feet: square feet × ceiling height in metres × 0.0929. Take a small high-street unit of 900 sq ft under a 3.0 m ceiling, the sort of RS Puram frontage people walk to rather than park at. That is 900 × 3.0 × 0.0929 — about 251 m³. Now take the flagship out on Avinashi Road: 6,000 sq ft under a 4.0 m double-height ceiling is 6,000 × 4.0 × 0.0929 — about 2,230 m³. Nine times the air, in the same business, wearing the same name over the door. A single SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999, rated to 1000m³, holds the small unit comfortably while running near the bottom of its range — which is exactly where you want it in a shop where families sit for hours. The flagship is past that rating altogether and belongs on ducting with a SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999, or on more than one source, set independently. Give both buildings the same number on the dial and you have not standardised anything; you have produced two shops that smell noticeably different, which is the precise opposite of what the exercise was for. So: standardise the oil, the refill schedule, the run window relative to opening time, and the method for setting the level. Band the numbers by volume and write each branch's setting on a card inside its own cupboard, key-locked. Give one person in the group the job of owning that standard. Then the honest gap, stated rather than fudged: SOSA publishes no bulk pricing, no minimum order quantity, no GST arrangement, no custom branding, no annual maintenance contract, no warranty terms, no installation service and no lead-time commitment. Those do not exist here and a multi-branch buyer deserves to know that before enquiring. And the two limits, as ever: ambient fragrance is an interior and brand-experience decision that works alongside cooling, ventilation and housekeeping, and nobody can promise you that it moves a commercial number — not sales, not conversion, not footfall — across one branch or across ten.
Standardise the oil, never the dial. A 251 m³ unit and a 2,230 m³ flagship are nine times apart, so identical settings make branches smell different. Band the levels by volume, write them down, key-lock them.
For an ordinary branch this is one SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999, rated to 1000m³, running the group's single oil at that branch's own written setting. A 400ml tank lasts 90+ days, which keeps the refill routine to roughly four tanks per branch per year.

The machines, branch by branch

Branch sizes in this trade vary enormously — a first-floor unit on an older high street and a purpose-built flagship on an arterial road are not remotely the same job. Choose per building, from the cubic metres, and expect the answer to differ between shops in the same group. The images link to the live product pages.

Three things that differ between branches

Volume is the obvious one and it is done first. The second is the set of building differences that change the answer even when two branches have the same floor area. The third is the management question, which is what actually determines whether a group stays consistent a year later.

1
One
The volume sum, worked twice
Do it for the smallest branch and the largest one before you decide anything, because the gap is usually wider than the group expects. The small high-street unit: 900 sq ft under a 3.0 m ceiling is 900 × 3.0 × 0.0929 = about 251 m³. The flagship: 6,000 sq ft under a 4.0 m double-height ceiling is 6,000 × 4.0 × 0.0929 = about 2,230 m³. That is roughly nine times the air. A machine rated to 1000m³ covers the first with a very great deal in hand, which is the ideal position for a long-dwell shop; the second is past what a single machine can hold and needs either a ducted solution or several sources, each set on its own. Two branches with identical floor areas but ceilings a metre apart will also differ by a third, which is why area alone is never the number to work from.
Tip: Get somebody to measure the ceiling height in every branch this month. It takes an afternoon and it is the figure every subsequent decision rests on.
SOSA Vaayu
One Vaayu per ordinary branch, run near the bottom of its range, is the shape of nearly every group plan I have written.
See SOSA Vaayu →
2
Two
The differences that survive even when the volumes match
Two branches at 500 m³ each can still need different numbers. A shop with a street door on a busy road loses air constantly and takes in whatever is outside; a unit inside a mall or an office building often has a lobby, a second door and conditioned air arriving from a central system. A ground-floor shop with a high ceiling behaves differently from a first-floor shop of the same volume where the air is stiller. And then there is who comes through the door: a unit people reach on foot off an RS Puram pavement fills and empties all day, while a branch on Avinashi Road with parking of its own takes families who have driven two or three hours from Erode, Palladam or Palakkad and will stay the afternoon — and a room holding people for four hours wants less than a room holding them for twenty minutes, whatever the cubic metres say. Some branches run heavy counter lighting all day and are warmer by afternoon. Some have a mezzanine that holds warm air. The honest method is to set a starting band from the volume, then correct it once, per branch, using somebody who has just arrived from outside — and then to leave it alone.
Tip: Do the fresh-nose check in every branch on the same weekend, so the group's standard is calibrated at comparable hours.
SOSA Vaayu
Because every Vaayu runs the same oil, a correction at one branch is a change of number only, never a change of character.
See SOSA Vaayu →
3
Three
Who owns the standard, and what we cannot offer you
Consistency across branches is a management problem more than a hardware one. One person in the group should own the register, the refill schedule and the setting card in each shop; without that, a manager will raise a dial in month three and a different manager will buy a cheaper oil in month seven, and by the following year the branches smell nothing like each other. Key-lock every machine and keep the keys centrally. Refills happen roughly quarterly, since a 400ml tank lasts 90+ days. And the gap you should know about before you enquire: there is no bulk pricing, no minimum order, no GST arrangement, no custom branding, no annual maintenance contract, no warranty term, no installation service and no lead-time commitment published by SOSA. I would rather write that plainly than let a group procurement team assume otherwise.
Tip: Put the branch settings on one sheet at head office. If nobody owns that sheet, the standard will not survive a year.
SOSA Vaayu
The key-lock on the Vaayu is the only enforcement mechanism that actually works across branches, because it does not depend on anybody remembering.
See SOSA Vaayu →
The SOSA principle
A brand is recognised by the character of the air, never by the number on the dial. Standardise the oil and let every building have the setting its own cubic metres require.
Do it the other way round — one number everywhere — and a customer who visits two of your shops in a week meets two different rooms, which is exactly the failure the exercise was meant to prevent.
SOSA Vaayu
One oil, several buildings: the same register in every branch, with intensity chosen from each shop's cubic metres. A 400ml tank lasts 90+ days, so a branch uses roughly four in a trading year and the reorder can be handled centrally.

Four branches, four settings, one oil

This is the table I would draw for a group with a mixed estate, using volumes typical of this trade. The left column is arithmetic you can repeat for your own shops in ten minutes; the right column is the consequence, and it is deliberately not the same answer four times.

The SOSA plan
A mixed estate, sized shop by shop on the same register
The branch, by its own volume The machine and the setting it needs
SOSA VaayuHigh-street unit — 900 sq ft at 3.0 m, about 251 m³
One machine rated to 1000m³, run at the very bottom of its range. The temptation here is to buy something smaller; do not — headroom you never use is what gives an even, quiet room. View →
First-floor branch — 1,800 sq ft at 3.2 m, about 535 m³
One machine again, a step above the smallest branch's number and still well inside the rating. Stiller air on an upper floor usually means it needs slightly less than the arithmetic alone suggests.
SOSA VaayuMain road branch — 3,000 sq ft at 3.5 m, about 975 m³
One machine at the top of its useful range, or two sources sharing the work if the plan is long and thin. A busy street door here means air is being exchanged constantly, so check it with a fresh nose rather than trusting the sum. View →
SOSA AngaanFlagship — 6,000 sq ft at 4.0 m, about 2,230 m³
Past a single floor-standing machine altogether. A ducted unit rated to 3,000m³ injected into the supply side, or several sources set independently, each on the same oil. View →

The same physics inside one building is the subject of whether the bridal floor should smell different from the everyday floor, which is worth reading before any branch is allowed a second register. For the level in each shop, how strong showroom fragrance should be over a long sitting sets the method, and where the machine should be installed covers placement, which differs branch by branch. SOSA makes no claim that ambient fragrance affects sales, conversion, footfall or any other commercial number.

SOSA Vaayu
One sheet, one owner: branch, volume, machine, setting, run window, last refill date. Six columns at head office and a key-lock on every unit is the whole system, and it is the part that decides whether the group still smells consistent next year.
Every branch sized on its own volume
Send the branch list with floor areas and ceiling heights, and we will return the cubic metres and a starting band for each — with no bulk terms, because there are none.

Standardising the dial is how a group ends up smelling different in every shop. Standardising the oil is how it ends up smelling the same.

A very small branch of under about 400 sq ft can be held by a Mountain Breeze reed at ₹849 in the same family of notes, which keeps the character consistent without buying hardware you do not need. Ambient scent here is an interior and brand-experience decision, with no claim that it affects sales, conversion, footfall or any commercial number — nobody can promise that in one shop or in ten. It works alongside cooling, ventilation and housekeeping and never in place of them. The workroom or bench area, the strong room and any space governed by your insurers or your own house rules stay unscented in every branch, and that protocol decides, not us. SOSA publishes no bulk pricing, no minimum order, no GST arrangement, no custom branding, no lead time, no installation and no maintenance or warranty terms; a group enquiry goes to our contact page with nothing promised. A note from Sonal

A group with four shops once sent me a single line of instruction: make them all smell the same, and tell us the setting so we can circulate it. I sent back a request for four ceiling heights and four floor areas, which they found pedantic until the numbers came in. The smallest shop held roughly a quarter of the air of the largest, and the largest had a double-height ceiling nobody had thought to mention because it was simply what the building looked like.

We kept one oil, because that is genuinely the thing a customer might recognise, and gave each shop its own number and its own run window measured from its own opening time. The head office sheet had six columns on it. A year later three of the four branches were still exactly as set, and the fourth had been quietly raised by a manager who had adapted to it, which is why the key-lock matters more than any instruction memo.

That is the whole method, and I will repeat the uncomfortable part: we have no bulk pricing, no minimum order, no branding service, no maintenance contract and no installation offer, so a group buys the same way a single shop does. We also make no claim that ambient fragrance affects sales, conversion, footfall or any commercial outcome, at any number of branches. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

If the branches use different settings, are they really consistent?
Yes, in the only way a customer can perceive. Consistency is the character of the air, and that comes from using one oil everywhere. The number on the dial is an engineering correction for how much air a building holds — much like setting a different air-conditioning capacity in a bigger shop and still calling the group's comfort standard consistent.
Should a small branch buy a smaller, cheaper machine instead?
Usually not. A 251 m³ shop is best served by a machine with plenty of headroom running near the bottom of its range, because that gives a steady, even, quiet background rather than a small unit working hard. The exception is a very small unit of a few hundred square feet, where a reed at ₹849 is genuinely the right answer and a machine is unnecessary.
Can head office control all the branch machines centrally?
Not across branches, no — the app control is local to each machine, so a group runs this on paper and on key-locks rather than through a central dashboard. In practice one sheet listing branch, volume, setting, run window and last refill date is sufficient, provided somebody in the group genuinely owns it.
Do you offer a maintenance contract or a service visit for a group of shops?
No. There is no annual maintenance contract, no warranty arrangement, no installation service and no lead-time commitment published here, and I would rather state that than let a procurement team plan around something imaginary. A machine is bought as a product; refilling is a quarterly staff task, and anything further goes to our contact page with nothing promised.
Will one signature scent across branches strengthen our brand?
It will make your shops consistent to a customer who visits more than one, which is a real and modest thing. What I cannot tell you is whether that affects any commercial number — no claim about sales, conversion or footfall is made here, and a supplier who offers a group-level figure for it has invented it. Consistency is worth doing for its own sake or not at all.

Facts verified 16 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with a 400ml refillable tank lasting 90+ days depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, operation under 38dB, DC 12V/1A at 5W (roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule), freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment. The SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) is an HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB, and also runs standalone wall-mounted or lay-flat. The SOSA Meenar (₹38,500) is the largest machine in the range, quoted for roughly 12,000-18,000 sq ft of HVAC-connected space. Ambient scent is an interior and brand-experience decision: it works alongside proper ventilation, housekeeping and source control and is not a substitute for any of them. SOSA makes no claim that ambient fragrance affects sales, footfall, enquiries, order value, buyer decisions, contracts or any commercial outcome. SOSA makes no health, clinical, diagnostic or air-treatment claim of any kind, and nothing in this guide is medical advice; in any clinical or treatment setting the facility's own policy and its clinicians decide what is appropriate. CE, RoHS and SGS are electrical and compliance marks. SOSA makes no claim about the effect of ambient fragrance on any product, material, fabric, finish or stock held in a building; what can be stated is that the Vaayu is waterless, adds no moisture to the air and leaves no residue on surfaces.
