Bhai Dooj asks the same gifting question Raksha Bandhan does, from the other side of the calendar, and it deserves the same honest answer: SOSA does not sell a "brother's attar" or a "sister's attar". The right bottle is decided by what the sibling actually wears, and that has nothing to do with which of them is giving the gift.
Quick answers — read this first
What attar should I gift for Bhai Dooj? Whichever suits the sibling's taste. Adaa is the safe, neutral pick if you are not certain; Mastani suits a floral preference.

Is a Bhai Dooj attar different from a Raksha Bandhan one? No. Both occasions are sibling gifting, and SOSA's attars are not gendered, so the same range and the same logic apply to either.

What if tastes differ within the family? The pack of three, from ₹1,055, holds three different characters in one gift.
The short answer
Short answer: choose a Bhai Dooj attar by the sibling's actual taste, exactly as you would for Raksha Bandhan. No SOSA attar is gendered.
Not sure of their taste: Adaa, from ₹379, the lightest and most neutral option.
Covering more than one sibling: the pack of three from ₹1,055.
Straight answer
Should a Bhai Dooj attar be chosen differently from a Raksha Bandhan one?
1. No, it is the same decision from the other direction. Bhai Dooj and Raksha Bandhan are both sibling gifting occasions, and SOSA's attars are not gendered, so nothing about the choice changes between them.

2. If you genuinely do not know their taste, go neutral. Adaa, bergamot, cardamom and jasmine sambac, is the lightest and least likely to miss.

3. If they already lean floral, say so plainly. Mastani, night-blooming jasmine and damask rose, suits a sibling who wears florals already.

4. More than one sibling to gift? Consider the trio. The pack of three covers three characters in a single purchase.

5. Size the gift to your budget, not to a gendered assumption. SOSA attars come in 3 ml, 6 ml and 12 ml at the same prices regardless of who is buying or receiving.

And a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
TL;DR: the same shelf as Raksha Bandhan. Adaa if unsure, Mastani for a floral lover, or the pack of three for more than one sibling.
Adaa Attar
The safe Bhai Dooj pick
Adaa Attar from ₹379
Bergamot, cardamom and jasmine sambac. Alcohol-free roll-on oil in 3 ml, 6 ml and 12 ml, and the least likely to miss when you are not certain what a sibling wears.

Why this is the same question as Raksha Bandhan

Bhai Dooj and Raksha Bandhan are both occasions for sibling gifting, and treating them as needing separate gift logic misses the point: the sibling's taste does not change with the calendar, and neither does SOSA's range. Nothing here is formulated or marketed for one gender, so the same shelf serves a sister buying for a brother at Bhai Dooj exactly as it serves a brother buying for a sister at Raksha Bandhan.

1
The actual variable
Taste, not the festival or the sibling's gender
Adaa is light because some people like light scents. Mastani is floral because some people like florals. Neither has anything to do with who is giving or receiving the gift.
2
When you are not sure
One gift, more than one character
The pack of three - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - removes the need to guess correctly on the first try, for either direction of gifting.

How to actually choose

Ask what the sibling already wears if you can. If you cannot, start light: a neutral, bright profile is far less likely to miss than a bold, assertive one, whichever direction across the family the gift is travelling.

The SOSA Bhai Dooj edit
The SOSA principle
Bhai Dooj and Raksha Bandhan ask the same question from opposite directions, and the answer does not change.
One shelf, either way the gift is travelling.
The calendar changed. The sibling's taste did not.

The SOSA Bhai Dooj edit

Every SOSA attar sits on the same shelf at the same prices for every buyer and every recipient, on this occasion as on any other. Choose the character, size it to your budget, and give it to whichever sibling it suits.

A note from Sonal

Bhai Dooj gift questions arrive with the same assumption Raksha Bandhan ones do: that a "for him" and a "for her" list should exist. In my range they do not.

Adaa and Mastani are blended for a taste, not a gender. What matters is whether your sibling likes something light or something floral, not whether they are your brother or your sister.

When in doubt, ask them, or hand over the pack of three and let them pick. A girl still gets a classroom through Nanhi Kali either way.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a specific attar for Bhai Dooj?
No. SOSA does not make an occasion-specific attar, and none of its attars is marketed for one gender. Choose based on the sibling's actual taste, the same way you would for Raksha Bandhan.
Should I pick a different attar for Bhai Dooj than for Raksha Bandhan?
No. Both are sibling gifting occasions and the same range, at the same prices, applies to either.
What is the safest attar to gift if I am not sure of their taste?
Adaa, at Rs 379 for 3 ml. It is bergamot, cardamom and jasmine sambac, the lightest and most neutral attar SOSA makes.
What if I want to gift more than one sibling for Bhai Dooj?
Consider the pack of three, which holds Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani for Rs 1,055 in the 3 ml set. It does not include Adaa.
What sizes are SOSA attars available in for Bhai Dooj gifting?
3 ml, 6 ml and 12 ml, at the same prices regardless of who is buying or receiving. Adaa runs from Rs 379 to Rs 1,149 across those three sizes.
