A 3BHK is not one space to be scented - it is three or four separate rooms, each of which needs its own diffuser. The best setup is one device per used room, not one heroic diffuser trying to reach the whole flat.
Quick answers — read this first
What is the ideal setup? One diffuser per used room: two to three Sukoons (₹1,799 each) across the living room and bedrooms, optionally a Boond (₹799) for a small study. A Hotel Collection scent (from ₹299) runs in each.

Can one diffuser do the whole flat? No. Ultrasonic mist has limited throw, so a single Sukoon scents one enclosed room, not a corridor and three bedrooms beyond it. A 3BHK genuinely needs per-room devices.

What if the living-dining is big and open? Then use one waterless Vaayu (₹11,999) for the large open area and keep Sukoons in the bedrooms - the hybrid setup for a large 3BHK.
The short answer
Short answer: The best 3BHK setup is one diffuser per used room - two or three Sukoons plus a Boond, each running a Hotel Collection scent - or a Vaayu for a large open living area with Sukoons in the bedrooms.
The pick: the SOSA Sukoon (₹1,799) ultrasonic diffuser plus a Hotel Collection scent (from ₹299) is the hotel-at-home starter; a Boond (₹799) suits a small room or desk, and for a large, open-plan or high-humidity space the waterless Vaayu (₹11,999) adds no moisture.

Straight answer
What is the best home fragrance setup for a 3BHK apartment?
1. Count your used rooms, not your square feet. A typical 3BHK has a living-dining, a master, a second bedroom and a third/study - that is three to four diffuser points.

2. Put a Sukoon in each bedroom. One 500ml Sukoon (₹1,799) comfortably scents an enclosed bedroom up to ~200-250 sq ft.

3. Scent the living room to its size. A normal enclosed living room takes a Sukoon; a large open living-dining takes a waterless Vaayu (₹11,999) instead.

4. Add a Boond for the small extras. A study, a puja room or a bathroom (₹799, up to ~80-100 sq ft) rounds out the flat cheaply.

5. Give each room its own scent, kept non-clashing. Master gets Old-World Glamour, guest gets Tea Garden, the living room a lobby-calm Quiet Luxury.

Made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: two to three Sukoons (₹1,799 each) plus a Boond, one Hotel Collection scent per room - that is a 3BHK done properly.

Why a 3BHK is a per-room job, not a one-diffuser job

1
LIMITED THROW
Mist does not turn corners
Sukoon - the diffuser Sukoon · the diffuser₹1,799 An ultrasonic diffuser sends fragrance a few feet on a cool micro-mist, strongest near the machine and fading toward the far wall. That is perfect for one enclosed room and useless across a corridor. A 3BHK has walls and doors between its rooms by design, so a single Sukoon in the living room simply cannot reach a bedroom two doors away. Each room is its own sealed volume, and each wants its own device.
Tip: Doors that stay shut are the reason each room needs a diffuser of its own.
2
ROOM-SIZED
One Sukoon per enclosed room
Hotel Collection scents Hotel Collection scentsFrom ₹299 The Sukoon's 500ml tank comfortably carries an enclosed bedroom or a normal living room up to roughly ~200-250 sq ft at a standard ceiling, on a low mist all evening. In a 3BHK that means one Sukoon in the master, one in the second bedroom, and one in the living room - three devices doing three coherent rooms rather than one device doing a third of the flat.
3
SCENT WARDROBE
Different rooms, different moods
Boond - small room Boond · small room₹799 The luxury of a 3BHK is that each room can have a signature. Run Old-World Glamour (amber, violet) in the master for evening warmth, Tea Garden (jasmine, green tea) in the guest room, and a light White Tea Serenity in a kids' room. Keep adjacent rooms in the same family or separated by a door so the scents never collide in the hallway.
Tip: A 15ml Pack of 7 (₹1,799) gives every room its own scent to try.

The hotel-at-home kit: one diffuser, seven scents, one small room option
The SOSA principle
A 3BHK does not want a bigger diffuser. It wants more diffusers, one per room - because scent, like light, does not travel through walls.
Per-room is the whole method. Everything else is a compromise.
SOSA Hotel Collection - 7 scents inspired by the world's finest hotels, from ₹299
Seven hotels, one diffuser Hotel Collection Fragrance From ₹299 Water-based, ultrasonic-safe scents, each SOSA's own interpretation of a famous hotel signature - Ritz-Carlton-style white tea & cedar, Westin-style spa white tea, St. Regis-style amber & violet, and more. Try any scent in a 15ml (₹299), size up to 100ml (₹999) or 300ml (₹1,799), or take all seven as the 15ml Pack of 7 (₹1,799). Shop the 7 scents →
The mistake is buying one expensive diffuser for a flat with four doors. Buy three modest ones instead - one for each room you live in.

The 7 Hotel Collection scents

The whole point of the Sukoon is the scent you run through it. The Hotel Collection is seven of SOSA's own interpretations of the signatures great hotels are known for - pick by the room and the mood you want, try a 15ml first, then size up to the one you love. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Sizes & how to use: every scent comes as 15ml (₹299, to try), 100ml (₹999, the value bottle) or 300ml (₹1,799, best per-ml); the 15ml Pack of 7 (₹1,799) is the whole wardrobe. Add just 3-6 drops to the Sukoon's water tank and adjust to taste - a little goes a long way - and rinse the tank when you switch scents so each stays true. These are water-based, ultrasonic-safe fragrances made for SOSA diffusers; do not substitute raw essential or carrier oils, which can clog the misting plate. The scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by (not affiliated with) the named hotels. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

How many diffusers does a 3BHK really need?
Usually three, sometimes four - one Sukoon per used bedroom and living room, plus an optional Boond for a study or bathroom. Scent the rooms you actually spend time in; there is no need to diffuse an unused guest room daily.
Is it cheaper to buy one big diffuser instead?
A single big ultrasonic unit still cannot turn corners, so it will not scent a 3BHK however large its tank. Three Sukoons at ₹1,799 each cost less than one Vaayu and actually reach every room - the Vaayu is for one genuinely large open volume, not for beating physics.
Can I move one Sukoon between rooms?
You can, and it works if you only ever use one room at a time. But the real hotel effect - walking from a scented bedroom into a scented hallway into a scented living room - only happens with a device left running in each. Moving one around is a starting point, not the finish.
Do all the rooms need different scents?
No, and matching one scent across the flat is the most coherent, hotel-like choice. Different scents per room are a lovely option if you keep adjacent rooms non-clashing - same family, or separated by a door - so they do not collide in the corridor.
What if my living-dining-kitchen is one big open space?
Then that open span is a Vaayu job (₹11,999, up to 1000m³, waterless), not a Sukoon job - ultrasonic mist cannot fill an open plan. Keep Sukoons in the enclosed bedrooms and let the Vaayu handle the open area.
Scent the whole 3BHK
Three rooms, three diffusers - the honest way to make a whole 3BHK smell like a hotel
Start with a Sukoon per bedroom and a Hotel Collection scent for each. Add the living room next, and the flat becomes one considered space.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the technique applies to any brand's ultrasonic system.

Facts verified August 2026: An ultrasonic diffuser disperses a water-based fragrance as a cool micro-mist, scenting a room without heat or flame and adding a little humidity. Great hotels use commercial HVAC scenting to create a signature smell; at home the same effect comes from a diffuser plus a hotel-inspired blend. SOSA Sukoon is a 500ml ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser with a 7-colour mood light (₹1,799); Boond is a 300ml mini ultrasonic diffuser (₹799); both run the water-based Hotel Collection fragrance. The Hotel Collection comes in seven scents (Ritz-Carlton, Westin, 1 Hotels, St. Regis, Shangri-La, Four Seasons and W Hotels styles) in 15ml (₹299), 100ml (₹999) and 300ml (₹1,799), plus 15ml Pack of 7 (₹1,799); dose 3-6 drops per tank, use SOSA diffuser fragrance only (not raw essential/carrier oils), and rinse between scents. For large, open-plan or high-humidity spaces the waterless SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999, up to 1000m³) adds no humidity; the Aangan (₹25,999) is a whole-home HVAC system. The scents are SOSA's own interpretations; SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
