This is the line people think they have handled and have not. A socket somewhere in reception is not the same as a socket at the mounting position, and the difference between them is exactly the length of visible cable you will look at for the next five years. Line three - the unscented rooms, in writing
A list on the room schedule outlasts everyone who agreed it out loud
Next to every room on the schedule, write scented or unscented. Examination rooms, prenatal and scan rooms, postpartum care rooms, lactation and feeding rooms, pelvic-floor and other treatment cabins, procedure and recovery areas: unscented, always, with no lighter version available. The reason needs no medical argument - a patient in those rooms is frequently undressed, often there a long time, cannot leave, and did not choose the fragrance. Mark one seating bay as unscented by design as well. Written into the schedule, this survives handover, staff turnover and your own memory. Agreed in a meeting, it does not.

I have stood in a great many finished receptions where the machine is in a genuinely lovely recess, six inches from a return grille, doing almost nothing. Nobody made a mistake. The information simply was not in the room when the decision was made.
So hand them three lines and stop. A 5W point at the mounting position, at mounting height. A position on the supply side of the air conditioning, ten to twelve feet in, clear of the door. And the room schedule marked scented or unscented in writing, with every clinical room in the second column. That third line is the one I care most about, because it is the only part of this that is about a patient rather than about air, and written lists outlive the people who agree them.
