Search results for this will offer you all sorts of things described as suitable for a car puja, and most of them are ordinary products with the occasion written on the label. This page will say the plain thing instead: nothing in this shop is a religious item, nothing here has ritual significance, and a car puja is not an occasion we have a product for. What we do have is something for the car afterwards, which is a different thing given separately.
Quick answers — read this first
What should I give for a new-car puja? Nothing from a fragrance range belongs in the ritual itself. A car puja is a religious occasion - bring what the family's own practice calls for, and give any car gift separately.

Can car fragrance be part of a car puja? No. Nothing in this range is a religious item or has ritual significance, and presenting it as part of a ceremony would be a category error.

What can I give around the occasion? Something for the car, given separately and ideally a few weeks later - a hanging car perfume at Rs 449 to Rs 509, or a discovery set at Rs 699.
The short answer
Short answer: A new-car puja is a religious occasion and fragrance products are not religious items and carry no ritual significance, so they should not be presented as part of the ceremony. What the puja itself calls for is set by the family's own practice and usually by whoever is conducting it. A gift for the car is a separate matter: a hanging car perfume at Rs 449 to Rs 509, a discovery set of three sprays at Rs 699, or the SOSA Safar at Rs 3,999 with a Rs 1,049 refill, given separately and ideally a few weeks later once the new-car smell has faded.
The pick: a SOSA return gift - consumable, no shelf space, from ₹299 a head.
Bulk: 10 to 200+ pieces quoted on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. Rates are not published here.
New-car gifts - at a glanceNever to mask the new-car smell - most owners like it, and it fadesMonth two or three, not delivery day - that is the honest timingA car in Indian sun amplifies sweetness. Dry registers winFrom ₹449 · hanging, spray or the Safar
A car is usually a saved-for decision made without anybody else's input, which is why a small gift for it lands harder than a large gift for a house. Two things decide whether it works. Do not buy fragrance to cover the new-car smell - most owners like it and it goes on its own within a few weeks, so month two or three is the honest moment. And choose a dry, green or marine register, because a car standing in Indian sun amplifies sweetness past what a driver can escape. Car fragrance starts at Rs 449, and anything can be checked on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 first.
Straight answer
What should I give for a new-car puja?
Nothing from here belongs in the ritual. A car puja is a religious occasion; nothing in this range is a religious item or carries ritual significance, and what the ceremony needs is set by the family's practice, not by a shop. Separately, for the car: a hanging car perfume ₹449 to ₹509 or a discovery set ₹699, given a few weeks later once the new-car smell has faded on its own. Larger: the SOSA Safar ₹3,999 with a refill ₹1,049. Ask on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
A religious occasion is not a product category. The car gift is a separate thing.
If you want one answer for a mixed guest list: hanging car perfume from ₹449, because almost every adult guest drives and almost nobody has done anything about their car. Bulk quantities quoted on WhatsApp.

We have nothing for the puja, and saying so is the point

It is worth being direct about why this page exists, because it is not selling anything for the occasion in its title. A great deal of what is marketed for a car puja is an ordinary object with the words written on the packaging - a scented item, a hanging decoration, a set of something - repositioned for a search that has volume. That is easy to do and this shop is not going to do it. A car puja is a religious occasion. What it requires is determined by the family's own tradition and usually by whoever is conducting it, and it varies by region, community and household. Nothing in this range is a religious item, nothing here has ritual significance of any kind, and presenting a perfume as part of a ceremony would be a category error - the sort of thing nobody says anything about at the time and everybody notices. If you are invited to a car puja and wondering what to bring, the useful answer is not a product. It is to ask the family, or to bring what you would ordinarily bring to a small ceremony at somebody's home in your own tradition - sweets are the common answer in most of India, and flowers in many places - and to leave the ritual itself to the people conducting it. Where this shop does have something to offer is afterwards, and it is worth keeping that entirely separate, both in timing and in how it is described. The car itself will be driven for years after the ceremony, and it is the one space an adult controls completely: not shared with a household, not negotiated with anybody, occupied alone most of the time. Almost nobody buys properly for it, because car fragrance for most people means something cheap by the till at an accessory counter. So a well made small object for the interior is a genuinely good gift - given as a gift for the car, on a different day, with nothing said about the ceremony. The timing rule that governs this whole cluster helps here, because it points in the same direction. Do not give car fragrance in the first weeks. A new car smells of itself, most owners like it, and it fades on its own as the interior settles. Anything scented arriving on the day of the puja or in the first fortnight either competes with a pleasure they are enjoying or reads as a comment on how their new car smells. Month two or three is the honest window, and it has the further advantage of being empty: by then the relatives have seen the car, the group chat has moved on, and a small thoughtful thing arriving is the only one. So the shape of the answer is: bring what the occasion calls for, and give the car gift three weeks later. Since you will be choosing that gift eventually, here is what actually matters. The eight hanging car perfumes run four hundred and forty-nine to five hundred and nine rupees: Jasmine four hundred and forty-nine, Lavender and Sandalwood four hundred and seventy-nine, Icy Mint four hundred and eighty-nine, Lemon four hundred and ninety-nine, Vetiver, Sea Breeze and Oud five hundred and nine. The choice is governed by the car rather than by taste. A cabin holds a few cubic metres of sealed air, stands in the sun for hours, reaches temperatures nothing in a house comes close to, and the occupants are strapped in and cannot walk away from anything. Heat pushes sweetness forward dramatically and burns the light fresh parts off first, so dry, green, citrus and marine registers behave and sweet ones become oppressive. Icy Mint and Sea Breeze are the coolest and safest if you are guessing, Lemon is the clean citrus, Vetiver is the driest and most grown-up. Sandalwood and Oud are the rich pair and belong in a car kept in a basement or covered parking rather than one standing on a road all afternoon, so the single most useful question is where the car will live. If you would rather not choose at all, the discovery set of three sprays at six hundred and ninety-nine rupees hands over three registers to try, which suits a new owner who has never decided how a car of their own should smell. The Mysore Orange Blossom car perfume spray at five hundred and forty-nine rupees works only when applied, which suits a car that carries family or colleagues with different tolerances. For a larger gift, the SOSA Safar at three thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine rupees is a waterless car diffuser and the one product this cluster recommends at the premium level without qualification, given with a nebuliser refill at one thousand and forty-nine rupees rather than empty. The SOSA Vaayu at eleven thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine rupees is a commercial machine for spaces of roughly a thousand cubic metres - showrooms, lobbies, clinics - and is not a car product at any budget. Two practical notes for whenever the gift is given, offered once and not repeated. One unit is the right dose for an ordinary car; two is usually too much by May. And it lasts far longer away from the air conditioning vents, where a gentle continuous release becomes a blast every time the fan runs. If children travel in the car, keep it out of their reach and avoid anything sweet. Finally, the boundary that holds everywhere in this shop and is the reason this page reads the way it does: fragrance is a finishing touch, never a fix, and it is never anything more than that. It does nothing to a car mechanically, nothing for safety, and nothing ceremonially. Being clear about what a product is not is the only way to be trusted about what it is.

1
A puja is a religious occasion
Not a product category
What it requires is set by the family's tradition and by whoever is conducting it, and it varies by region, community and household.
Tip: Nothing in this range is a religious item or has ritual significance of any kind.
2
So bring what the occasion calls for
And ask if you are unsure
Sweets are the common answer in most of India, flowers in many places. The ritual itself belongs to the people conducting it.
3
Then give the car gift separately
Three weeks later, on its own terms
The car will be driven for years afterwards, and it is the one space an adult controls completely - which almost nobody buys properly for.
Tip: And by then the new-car smell has faded on its own, so a scented gift is welcome rather than a remark.
The SOSA principle
A great deal of what is marketed for this occasion is an ordinary product with the words printed on the packaging.
Being clear about what something is not is the only way to be trusted about what it is.

A religious occasion, and a separate gift for the car

Kept separate, in timing and in description.

The SOSA scent edit
Around the occasion
Scent Why it suits the mood
For the puja itself Nothing from here. Ask the family, or bring what you would bring to any small ceremony at a home.
For the car, three weeks later ₹449 to ₹509 A hanging perfume chosen for where the car lives - dry registers in sun, Sandalwood or Oud under cover.
If you would rather not choose ₹699 A discovery set of three sprays. Most new owners have never decided how their own car should smell.
Larger · SOSA Safar ₹3,999 With a ₹1,049 nebuliser refill. The Rs 11,999 Vaayu is showroom scale, not a car product.

The SOSA new-car gift ladder
What to give a new-car owner - by how much you know about their taste and how much time they spend in the car
Gift What it suits Why it works for a new car From
Jasmine hanging car perfume The entry gift · ₹449 The cheapest car item in the range and a complete gift on its own - floral rather than sweet, and best in a car that is parked in shade ₹449
Icy Mint hanging car perfume Safest in Indian heat Cool and dry, which is the register that holds up after an afternoon in the sun - the one to choose when you are guessing ₹489
Vetiver hanging car perfume Somebody who dislikes sweet Earthy and dry, the most grown-up of the eight, and the least likely to tire over a long daily commute ₹509
Car discovery set (pack of 3) You do not know their taste Three sprays so the owner picks - the sensible move, because a car is the least forgiving fragrance space there is ₹699
Mysore Orange Blossom car spray Somebody particular about the car Applied by hand when they want it rather than working continuously - which suits an owner who controls everything about the interior ₹549
SOSA Safar waterless car diffuser Hours a week behind the wheel The premium car object almost nobody buys for themselves - and it should be given with a nebuliser refill rather than empty ₹3,999

A note from Sonal

We sell a lot of car fragrance and we talk people out of buying it more often than you would expect. The reason is always the same. Somebody has just taken delivery, the car has that specific smell of a new interior, and the instinct is to buy something to put in it straight away. Please do not. Most owners like that smell, it fades on its own within a few weeks, and something arriving on top of it reads as though you thought their new car needed fixing. Month two or three, once it has started to smell of ordinary use, is the moment - and it has a second advantage, which is that everybody else has finished congratulating them by then.

The other thing people get wrong is the register. A car is not a small room. It holds a few cubic metres of air, it sits sealed in the sun for hours, and heat does something to sweetness that has to be experienced to be believed - and unlike a room, the driver cannot walk away from it. Dry, green, citrus and marine compositions behave. If you are guessing, guess cool. And one is the right number: two of anything in a car is usually too much by May.

Two honest things. Fragrance is a finishing touch and never a fix - if a car smells of damp, of something spilled under a seat or of smoke, deal with the cause and then scent a clean car, because adding one to the other is worse than either alone. And our Vaayu is not a car product. It is a waterless nebuliser built for roughly a thousand cubic metres - a showroom rather than a vehicle or a flat - and we would rather say so than sell you one. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 with the car and what they usually wear. A portion of every order supports girl-child education.

Frequently asked questions

What should I give for a new-car puja?
Nothing from a fragrance range belongs in the ritual. Bring what the family's own practice calls for, and give any car gift separately.
Can car fragrance be part of the ceremony?
No. Nothing here is a religious item or carries ritual significance, and presenting it as part of a puja would be a category error.
What can I give around the occasion?
Something for the car, given separately a few weeks later - a hanging perfume at Rs 449 to Rs 509 or a discovery set at Rs 699.
Why wait a few weeks?
Because a new car smells of itself for a while, owners like it, and it fades on its own. Anything scented earlier reads as a comment on the car.
Which scent should I choose eventually?
It depends where the car lives. Sun means Icy Mint, Lemon, Sea Breeze or Vetiver; a basement or covered parking allows Sandalwood or Oud.
A gift that marks what they did
