Founder Diaries · Home Fragrance · 2BHK Room by Room
By Sonal Sahani · ISIPCA Versailles 10 min read Updated August 2026
This is a question with an actual number in it, so here is the number. Three is the working minimum for a 2BHK, five is the wardrobe most households settle on, and seven is right if you rotate by season. The reason the answer is not simply three — one per enclosed room — is that a fragrance wardrobe is not a set of rooms, it is a set of rooms multiplied by a year, and an Indian year has more than one kind of weather in it.
Quick answers — read this first
The number: three minimum, five ideal, seven if you rotate seasonally.

Three is one per enclosed room — living/dining, master bedroom, second bedroom. Five is those three plus two that come out when the weather turns. Seven is the whole range.

The value play: the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 — about ₹257 a bottle against ₹299 bought singly.
The short answer
Short answer: a 2BHK should own three Hotel Collection fragrances as a minimum, five ideally, and seven if you rotate by season. Three is one per enclosed room — the 250–350 sq ft living/dining, the 120–160 sq ft master bedroom and the 100–130 sq ft second bedroom. Five adds two bottles that come out when the weather changes. Seven is the complete range.
The pick: the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 is the value play — about ₹257 a bottle against ₹299 bought singly, so seven bottles cost ₹294 less than seven bought one at a time and you skip the guessing entirely. Nine 15ml bottles also arrive free with three Sukoons at ₹5,697, three with each machine.
Shop: the Hotel Collection from ₹299, the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799, 100ml and 300ml refills from ₹999 and the Sukoon (₹1,899).
Straight answer
How many Hotel Collection fragrances should a 2BHK home own?
1. Three is the working minimum. One per enclosed room — the living/dining, the master bedroom and the second bedroom. Below three you are running the same bottle in more than one tank, which gives you coverage without contrast and wastes the second machine you paid ₹1,899 for.

2. Five is the wardrobe most households settle on. Three in the tanks and two waiting on the weather — a warmer bottle for December, a drier or brighter one for April. Five 15ml bottles bought singly is ₹1,495, which is less than one machine and changes the flat far more often.

3. Seven is right if you genuinely rotate. Owning the whole range only makes sense if the bottles move — a summer trio and a winter trio with one bottle in common is a real use for seven and a good reason to buy them together.

4. The Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 is the value play. That is about ₹257 a bottle against ₹299 bought singly, so all seven cost ₹294 less than seven ordered one at a time — and it removes the part of this nobody enjoys, which is choosing in the abstract before the rooms have had their say.

5. Nine bottles arrive free with three machines. Every Sukoon at ₹1,899 includes three 15ml Hotel Collection scents of your choice, so a fully equipped 2BHK receives nine — more than it needs at any one moment and exactly the right amount to own. Buy nothing further until one bottle has clearly won, then buy that one as a 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799.

A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
TL;DR: three minimum, five ideal, seven if you rotate by season. Three is one per enclosed room, five adds two for the weather, and the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 is about ₹257 a bottle against ₹299 singly. Nine 15ml bottles arrive free with three Sukoons at ₹5,697.
Pack of 7 × 15ml
Every scent at once, at about ₹257 a bottle
Pack of 7 × 15ml ₹1,799
All seven Hotel Collection fragrances in 15ml — 105ml in total, roughly ₹17 per ml, and about ₹257 a bottle against ₹299 bought singly. Seven bottles at ₹299 each would be ₹2,093, so the pack saves ₹294 and removes the part of this decision nobody enjoys, which is choosing in the abstract. For a 2BHK it is the honest way to arrive at a three-scent wardrobe — run a bottle in a room for a fortnight, move it if it is wrong, and let the flat decide instead of a product description.

Three, five, seven — what each number buys

People ask this question expecting to be told either one or all of them, and the honest answer is a small range with clear reasons at each step. A wardrobe is sized by rooms first and by the calendar second, and those two multipliers give you three numbers rather than one. What follows is what each number actually does in a three-room Indian flat, and where the money stops being worth spending.

1
THREE — THE MINIMUM
One per enclosed room, and no fewer
A 2BHK contains three rooms with doors you close and then live behind: a 250–350 sq ft living/dining, a 120–160 sq ft master bedroom and a 100–130 sq ft second bedroom. Each Sukoon covers 270–320 sq ft of connected air, which is one of them, and a closed door stops fragrance completely. So three tanks want three bottles — Ritz-Carlton-inspired where the front door opens, St. Regis-inspired behind the master bedroom door, Westin-inspired where a guest sleeps. Anything below three means the same fragrance in more than one tank, and a flat arranged that way has thorough coverage and nothing that changes at any threshold, which is the one thing a second machine was bought to provide.
2
FIVE — THE IDEAL
Three in the tanks, two waiting on the weather
Five is the number I would give almost anybody, and the two extra bottles are not spares — they have a job. An Indian year runs a bright dry spell, a hot one, a wet one and a short cold one, and a fragrance that is exactly right in one of those can feel thin or heavy in another. So you keep two bottles out of the tanks: something warmer for December in a north-facing flat, something drier or brighter for the months when white tea starts to feel like the only sensible thing in the house. Five 15ml bottles bought singly is ₹1,495, which is less than a single machine and does more to how the flat feels across a year than a fourth machine ever would.
The rule that keeps five honest: swap one room at a time, not the whole flat. Changing every tank at once means nothing ever becomes the smell of the house — the consistency you want lives in months, and a seasonal swap should be an edit rather than a redecoration.
3
SEVEN — IF YOU ROTATE
The whole range, and the one condition that justifies it
Seven is the complete Hotel Collection, and it is a genuinely good thing to own on exactly one condition: that the bottles move. A summer trio and a winter trio with one bottle in common uses all seven properly across a year, and the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 makes it the cheapest bottle-for-bottle route there is — about ₹257 a bottle against ₹299 singly, so the seventh bottle costs you almost nothing once you were buying six anyway. What does not justify seven is a shelf. If five of them sit unopened for a year, you did not need a bigger wardrobe, you needed a 300ml refill of the one you actually use.

Every route to a wardrobe, priced

There are only a few ways to end up owning fragrance in this range, and the arithmetic separates them cleanly. Every figure below comes from the listed prices — 15ml at ₹299, 100ml at ₹999, 300ml at ₹1,799 and the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 — and the per-bottle column is where the decision usually gets made.

The wardrobe arithmetic
Six ways to own Hotel Collection fragrance, with the maths
How you get there What you end up with Per bottle Verdict
Three 15ml bought singly Three scents — one per enclosed room ₹299 each, ₹897 in total The working minimum. Correct, and it leaves the flat with no answer when the weather changes
Five 15ml bought singly Three in the tanks and two for the seasons ₹299 each, ₹1,495 in total The ideal wardrobe, bought at full price. Sensible if you already know which five
Pack of 7 × 15ml ★ All seven scents — 105ml in total about ₹257 each, ₹1,799 in total The value play. Six bought singly is ₹1,794, so the seventh is effectively free — and it lets the rooms decide instead of you
Seven 15ml bought singly The same seven bottles, one order at a time ₹299 each, ₹2,093 in total ₹294 more than the pack for exactly the same thing. Only worth it if you are genuinely buying one a month
Nine included with three Sukoons Nine 15ml bottles of your choice, three per machine included with ₹5,697 of hardware The best line in the range — the wardrobe arrives with the machines
One 300ml refill 300ml of a single scent — your everyday one ₹1,799, about ₹6 per ml Not a wardrobe. This is depth rather than breadth, and it is the right second purchase, not the first

The SOSA principle
A wardrobe is sized by rooms first and by the calendar second.
Three rooms gives you three. An Indian year gives you two more. Everything past five is rotation, and rotation only counts if the bottles actually move.

Why five is where most 2BHKs settle

Three is defensible and slightly brittle. It works perfectly for as long as nothing changes, and then in November somebody notices that the white tea in the living room has started to feel a little thin against cold evenings, or in May that the amber in the bedroom has stopped feeling like comfort and started feeling like weather. With three bottles there is no move available. You either live with it or you buy something, and buying something in that moment is how households end up with a cupboard of half-used bottles chosen in irritation rather than a wardrobe chosen on purpose. Two spare bottles turn a purchase into a swap, and a swap takes thirty seconds.

Seven is defensible too, and it fails in the opposite direction. The households I know who own all seven and are happy about it are the ones who genuinely run a summer set and a winter set — usually a drier trio through the hot months, a warmer one through the short cold ones, and one bottle that stays in place all year as the flat's constant. That is a real system and it uses every bottle. The households who own seven and are not happy about it bought them for variety rather than for rotation, ran two, and left five in a drawer. If that sounds like you, the money belonged in a 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799 instead — about ₹6 per ml against roughly ₹20 per ml in 15ml — so the scent you actually run is never rationed.

Which leaves five as the number that fits the largest number of real 2BHKs, and there is a pleasing way to arrive at it. If you already own two Sukoons you have six 15ml bottles; three Sukoons at ₹5,697 bring nine. In both cases the wardrobe arrived free with the hardware and your only job is to choose well at checkout — three that are far apart for the tanks, and the rest banked for the seasons. If you are starting from a single machine, the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 gets you past five in one order at about ₹257 a bottle, and gives you the fortnight-per-room test that settles which three belong in the tanks far better than any description of the notes can. Then, and only then, buy the winner in 300ml. Depth after breadth is the correct order, and it is the one most people run backwards.

Owning seven bottles is only a wardrobe if the bottles move. Otherwise it is five bottles in a drawer and one you actually use.

The SOSA 2BHK edit

The wardrobe as a shopping list, in the order the lines earn their place. Almost none of it is hardware, which is the point of this page — in a flat that already has machines, the fragrance is the whole remaining decision and it is the cheap half.

The SOSA 2BHK edit
Three, five or seven — and what each one costs
Buy What it does When it earns its place Price
1. Pack of 7 × 15ml ★ All seven Hotel Collection scents — 105ml at about ₹257 a bottle and roughly ₹17 per ml, against ₹299 bought singly Now, if you own fewer than five bottles. Six ordered singly is ₹1,794, so the seventh is effectively free ₹1,799
2. Three that are far apart, in the tanks Ritz-Carlton-inspired in the living/dining, St. Regis-inspired in the master, Westin-inspired in the second bedroom Immediately — the minimum wardrobe, and the arrangement everything else builds on included
3. 300ml refill Your everyday scent across every tank at about ₹6 per ml, so you never ration it After a month, once one bottle has clearly won ₹1,799
4. Hotel Collection 15ml The fourth and fifth bottle — a warmer one for winter, a drier one for the hot months When a room stops fitting the weather rather than the room ₹299
5. 100ml refill The middle size, for a bedroom scent you run two conscious hours a night When a 15ml keeps running out and a 300ml would be an overspend ₹999
Not this: a fourth Sukoon A duplicate machine in a flat with three enclosed rooms Never in a 2BHK. That ₹1,899 buys six 15ml bottles, which changes the flat far more ₹1,899
Honest notes for buyers: the Sukoon covers 270–320 sq ft, which is why a studio needs exactly one and a 3BHK needs three or a Vaayu instead. Ultrasonic diffusers are water-based and add a little humidity to the room, which is a benefit in an AC-dry home and a consideration in a damp coastal one; they run SOSA's own water-based Hotel Collection fragrance and nothing else, because thicker essential and carrier oils clog the 2.4MHz misting plate. The Vaayu and the HVAC systems are waterless nebulisers running undiluted oil — a different technology, not a bigger Sukoon, and the better choice for long daily runs across connected space. Fragrance layers on top of clean air; it does not replace an extractor fan, an open window or a bin that gets emptied. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Hotel Collection 15ml
The cheapest good decision in the flat
Hotel Collection 15ml ₹299
A room's whole character costs ₹299 to change, and that number is worth holding on to for the rest of this page. The machines are a one-time ₹1,899 each; everything that happens afterwards — a master bedroom going warmer in December, a guest room going neutral before somebody arrives, a home office moving to something green — is a 15ml bottle. Three bottles is the working minimum for a 2BHK and five is the wardrobe most households settle on, which is ₹1,495 bought singly.

A note from Sonal

The honest reason this question gets asked so often is that fragrance is the one part of the range where somebody could spend endlessly and nobody would stop them. Seven bottles is not expensive, and it is very easy to talk yourself into all of them. I would rather give you a number and a reason than let the catalogue do the arguing, so: three because you have three doors, five because you have four kinds of weather, seven only if the bottles are going to move.

And I would say plainly which line I think is the best value we sell. The Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 works out at about ₹257 a bottle against ₹299 singly, so all seven cost ₹5 more than six bought one at a time and ₹294 less than seven. That is not a clever bit of pricing, it is simply the size the range is designed around — seven scents, one flat, a month to work out which belongs where. Buy it, run a bottle in a room for a fortnight, move it if it is wrong, and when one of them has clearly become the smell of your house, buy that one in 300ml at ₹1,799. Breadth first, then depth. Almost everybody does it the other way round and regrets the big bottle.

Everything is made and supported from Pune, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. You get a home that smells like somewhere you chose; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.

Frequently asked questions

How many Hotel Collection fragrances should a 2BHK own?
Three as a minimum — one per enclosed room — five ideally, and seven if you rotate by season. Five 15ml bottles bought singly is ₹1,495, and the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 gets you all seven at about ₹257 a bottle.
Is the Pack of 7 worth it?
Yes, on the arithmetic alone. It is ₹1,799 for seven 15ml bottles — about ₹257 each and roughly ₹17 per ml — against ₹299 for a single bottle. Seven bought one at a time would be ₹2,093, so the pack saves ₹294 and removes the guesswork.
How many fragrances do I need if I only have two Sukoons?
Two in the tanks and one or two spare, so three or four in total. Two Sukoons at ₹3,798 arrive with six 15ml bottles between them, which already covers that comfortably — the wardrobe is a checkout decision rather than a purchase.
Should I buy more fragrances or another diffuser?
In a 2BHK that already has a machine behind each door, fragrance every time. A fourth Sukoon at ₹1,899 duplicates a room; the same ₹1,899 buys six 15ml bottles, which changes what the whole flat is like to walk through.
How long does a 15ml bottle last?
It depends entirely on tank size, output and hours, so I will not give you a number I cannot stand behind. What I can say is that a 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799 works out at about ₹6 per ml against roughly ₹20 per ml in 15ml bottles, which is why the scent you run daily belongs in the big bottle.
The size of the wardrobe
Three minimum, five ideal, seven if you rotate — and the pack that makes seven the cheap answer
The Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799 is about ₹257 a bottle against ₹299 bought singly, so all seven cost less than seven ordered one at a time; nine 15ml bottles also arrive free with three Sukoons at ₹5,697. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
