Founder Diaries · Attars, Fragrance Discovery & Buying for Known Taste
By Sonal Sahani · ISIPCA Versailles 12 min read Updated September 2026
This is a better question than it looks, because it contains a real conflict rather than a shortage of information. Three unfamiliar things worn properly is how anybody starts building a vocabulary for their own taste - that part is sound, and a 3ml at roughly 60 wears is what makes it a trial rather than a sniff. But there is a fact on SOSA's own trio page you should read before you buy: it names people who prefer fresh, light and citrus attars among the reasons not to buy the set. So the choice in front of you is not whether the trio is good. It is whether three clearly different directions are worth having when none of them is the register he currently wears.
SOSA Attar Trio, Ameeri Nawaab and Mastani, from Rs 1,055
SOSA Attar Trio · three clearly different directions, none of them fresh · 3ml, 6ml or 12ml from ₹1,055 →
The box, described with its own disqualifier attached. The SOSA Attar Trio is one fixed combination - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - at ₹1,055 in 3 x 3ml, ₹1,859 in 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 in 3 x 12ml, with roughly 60 wears in each 3ml. SOSA's own page names people who prefer fresh, light and citrusy attars among the reasons not to buy it, and sends them to Adaa from ₹379, which is the lightest of the four and is not in the set. Three clear directions, or one familiar step - that is the actual choice.
Quick answers — read this first
Is an attar trio a good first step for somebody who finds perfume shopping overwhelming? The format is sound and the contents need checking. Three small bottles remove the shop entirely - no counter, no assistant, no deciding in ten minutes - and a 3ml is published at roughly 60 wears at one dab, so each one gets worn on ordinary days rather than tested on a card. The trio is ₹1,055 in 3 x 3ml. The check is what is in it: Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, published as an evening set.

Does SOSA recommend the trio for people who wear fresh fragrances? No - and it says so itself. The trio page carries a list of reasons not to buy the set, and it names anybody who prefers fresh, light or citrusy attars, on the grounds that the box is depth, warmth and floral. It points those buyers to Adaa instead, the lightest of the four, at ₹379 in 3ml, ₹669 in 6ml and ₹1,149 in 12ml. Adaa is not in the trio and is bought on its own.

So which one settles it? Neither, and that is the honest answer. If the point of the gift is breadth, the trio gives him three clearly different published directions - rose and saffron, white royal oud, night jasmine and Damask rose - and none of them is fresh. If the point is a first step he will recognise, Adaa from ₹379 is nearest to where he already stands: bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, no oud. Which of those matters more is a call about him, and SOSA publishes nothing that makes it for you.
The short answer
Short answer: It is a real trade-off rather than a yes or no. The SOSA Attar Trio is Rs 1,055 in 3 x 3ml and gives three clearly different published directions, at roughly 60 wears a bottle. But SOSA's own trio page names fresh and citrus wearers among the reasons not to buy it, and points them to Adaa at Rs 379 instead. Breadth without familiarity, or familiarity without breadth - that is the choice.
The pick: Breadth means the 3 x 3ml trio at ₹1,055, knowing none of the three is fresh. Familiarity means Adaa from ₹379, the lightest of the four.
Why: SOSA publishes the trio as an evening set and names fresh wearers in its own list of reasons not to buy it. That is a published fact about the box, not a prediction about him.
You know what they wear. That is a starting point, not an answer.Three to smell - the published Attar Trio, ₹1,055 in 3 x 3mlOne to commit to - a single 12ml attar, ₹1,149 to ₹1,199The trio is always the same three, always one sizeNever - a promise about what they will like
Knowing somebody's signature fragrance is more information than most gift buyers have, and it still does not answer the question, because the next bottle is not the same bottle. What three small attars buy you is evidence rather than a guess - three things to put on skin over a week. What the published trio is not is a set you assemble: it is one fixed combination of Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, in whichever single size you choose. And no page can tell you what anybody will make of any of them.
Straight answer
My boyfriend wears one fresh fragrance for absolutely everything because he finds perfume shopping overwhelming and doesn't know how to describe what he likes - could an attar trio give him three clearly different experiences from which he can start identifying his own preferences?
Three clearly different experiences, yes. Three experiences in the register he currently wears, no - and you should decide which of those matters more before you order. Start with what is sound in your reasoning, because most of it is. Somebody who wears one thing for everything and finds the shop overwhelming has not tested and rejected the field; they found something workable and stopped, which is a story about the shopping experience as much as about taste. Three small bottles at home remove the shop from the process entirely, and the published figure that makes that real is roughly 60 wears in a 3ml at one dab - enough to wear each one on ordinary days and notice what it does after the first thirty minutes, rather than deciding at a counter in ten minutes. The SOSA Attar Trio is ₹1,055 in 3 x 3ml, ₹1,859 in 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 in 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 bought singly - a saving of ₹118, ₹204 and ₹354, ten per cent at every tier. Now the conflict, stated plainly because SOSA states it plainly. The trio page carries its own list of reasons not to buy the set, and one of them names people who prefer fresh, light and citrusy attars, because the box is depth, warmth and floral. Its three bottles are Ameeri, Taif rose and Persian saffron over Indian sandalwood with a soft oudh, amber and white musk; Nawaab, white royal oud with Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf, published as the deepest of the four; and Mastani, night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka. Oudh is published in all three. The alternative SOSA itself points to is Adaa - bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac, magnolia, white musk, vetiver and cedarwood, the lightest of the four and the only one with no oud - at ₹379, ₹669 and ₹1,149. Adaa is not in the trio and cannot be put into it; the set is one fixed combination and nobody chooses the three. So: breadth with nothing familiar in it, or one familiar-ish bottle with no comparison to run. Which of those he would rather be given is not something SOSA publishes any information about, and this page will not pretend otherwise. Published wear is 6 to 8 hours per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Three clearly different directions, and not one of them is fresh. SOSA says so on its own trio page, and the choice is yours to make.
The quick version: the format is right and the contents need a decision. Three bottles at home beat any shop counter, and a 3ml is roughly 60 wears. But SOSA lists fresh-attar wearers among the reasons not to buy the trio and points them to Adaa from ₹379. Trio ₹1,055 in 3 x 3ml; both together ₹1,434.
See Adaa from ₹379

Three parts of this decision, and the middle one is a genuine trade-off

Most of this decision is straightforward and one part of it is genuinely two-sided. The three sections below separate them - what the format does well, the trade-off nobody can settle for you, and what sixty wears buys.

01
Why the format helps here
The overwhelming part is the shop, and three bottles at home delete it
Somebody who finds perfume shopping overwhelming is not short of taste; they are short of a method. A counter asks for a verdict in minutes, on skin that already has three other things on it, in a conversation with somebody selling. Nobody forms an opinion that way, and nobody should be expected to. Three small bottles at home reverse every condition of that: one scent at a time, worn on an ordinary day, judged after the first thirty minutes rather than in the first thirty seconds. That is the whole argument for a discovery format, and it is a structural argument rather than a claim about him. It also means the gift asks nothing of him at the moment of opening - no decision, no reciprocal enthusiasm, just three things to try in his own time.
Tip: The shop is the hard part. Three bottles at home remove the shop.
02
The trade-off, stated whole
SOSA names fresh wearers among the reasons not to buy the set
Here is the conflict, and this page is not going to resolve it for you because it cannot. The published SOSA Attar Trio is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, one fixed combination, all three bottles in the size you choose. Its own product page lists reasons not to buy it, and two are relevant: it names people who prefer fresh, light, citrusy attars, and it names anybody who needs a daytime or office attar. Both are pointed at Adaa.

So one side of the ledger: three clearly different published directions, at roughly 60 wears each, which is the breadth you were after. The other side: none of the three sits in the register he wears every day, and oudh is published in all three. A gift can be a step sideways from familiar ground or a step into new ground, and this one is the second. That is a decision about him, and you are the only person here holding any evidence about him at all.
03
What the smallest size buys
Roughly sixty wears is the line between a trial and a sample
The figure does the arguing. A 3ml is published at roughly 60 wears at one dab, which means a single bottle survives a fortnight of ordinary days with room to spare. Three of those at ₹1,055 is a real period of evidence, and that is what separates a discovery gift from a set of testers. It also lowers the stakes on the trade-off above: if one of the three turns out not to be his direction, that is information he did not have before, bought at a third of ₹1,055 rather than at the price of a full bottle. The ₹1,859 and ₹3,189 tiers make sense only when you already expect all three to be worn down. SOSA publishes no wear figure at all for a 6ml or a 12ml, so that sixty is not to be multiplied, and this page does not multiply it.
Tip: A bottle that gets worn for a fortnight produces a verdict. A card in a shop does not.
SOSA Adaa attar, bergamot cardamom and jasmine sambac
The bottle the trio does not contain
Adaa, and why it matters to half these questions
SOSA publishes four attars. Three of them are in the trio and one is not. Adaa - bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk - is published as the lightest of the four and a daytime attar, and it is sold on its own at ₹379 in 3ml, ₹669 in 6ml and ₹1,149 in 12ml. That matters because the trio page itself lists a reason not to buy the trio: it is an evening set of depth, warmth and floral, and somebody who wears bright, light, citrus-led fragrance is not the buyer for it. If what you know about their taste is that it is fresh, the honest route is Adaa rather than the box - and if you want Adaa alongside two others, that is three individual bottles at full price, because the trio cannot be recomposed.
See Adaa from ₹379 →
Work it out in this order
Settle the trade-off first, then the size
  1. Write down the register he actually wears. The box does not contain it.
  2. Decide which the gift is for: breadth to compare, or one familiar step.
  3. Adaa at Rs 379 is the light one SOSA points fresh wearers to, and it is singly sold.
  4. Then size it. Trio at Rs 1,055, or both on one order at Rs 1,434 in 3ml.
The SOSA principle
Three things to smell is not a better guess at his taste. It is the end of guessing - and a page that hides the trade-off inside the recommendation is selling, not advising.
He is not short of taste. He is short of a way to test it that does not involve a shop counter.

The three in the box, and the one that is closest to what he wears now

What the box actually holds, and where his current register sits relative to it. Ameeri - Taif rose and Persian saffron over Indian sandalwood, with a soft oudh, amber and white musk. Warm and festive, at ₹385, ₹679 and ₹1,165 bought singly. Nawaab - white royal oud led, dry and woody, with Mysore sandalwood, aged tobacco leaf, agarwood, leather, vetiver and amber, published by SOSA as the deepest of the four, at ₹399, ₹699 and ₹1,199. Mastani - night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over Mysore sandalwood and oudh, with vanilla and tonka underneath, at ₹389, ₹685 and ₹1,179. Those three are clearly distinct from one another, which is the point of the box. And then Adaa, which is not in the box: bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac, magnolia, white musk, vetiver and cedarwood, published as the lightest of the four and the only one of them with no oud in its list, from ₹379. Bergamot and neroli are citrus materials, which is the whole reason SOSA sends fresh-fragrance wearers to this bottle rather than to the set.

The SOSA gift edit
Four purchases for a fresh-fragrance wearer who cannot describe his taste
The option Who it suits, and where it fails
The fresh bottle he already wears, again Guarantees use and guarantees nothing else. He is not short of that scent, he is short of a reference point against which to describe it - and a second unit of the same thing gives him no new information at all.
Adaa on its own, ₹379 in 3ml to ₹1,149 in 12ml The bottle SOSA itself points fresh wearers towards: bergamot, green cardamom and neroli at the head of the list, no oud anywhere in it, published as the lightest of the four. One step rather than three. What it does not produce is comparison, and comparison is how anybody builds a vocabulary.
The SOSA Attar Trio, 3 x 3ml at ₹1,055 Three clearly different published directions at roughly 60 wears each - and not one of them in the register he wears now, with oudh published in all three. SOSA lists fresh-attar wearers among the reasons not to buy it. Breadth, bought with that written on the tin.
Adaa and the trio on one order, ₹1,434 in 3ml Four directions, one of which is near his current ground and three of which are not. Adaa is charged at its full price of ₹379 because it is outside the fixed set. The most complete answer to a vocabulary problem, and a larger gift than the question strictly described.
SOSA Attar Trio, three bottles in one gift-ready box
What the three sizes actually buy you
3ml, 6ml or 12ml - and roughly sixty wears in the smallest
All three trio tiers contain the same three attars; the only variable is how much of each. ₹1,055 buys 3 x 3ml, and the published figure for a 3ml is roughly 60 wears at one dab - which is the number that makes a discovery gift a real one rather than a set of samples, because it is enough to wear a scent on an ordinary Tuesday and not just sniff it in a shop. ₹1,859 buys 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 buys 3 x 12ml, the largest published size of each. Against the same bottles bought singly those are savings of ₹118, ₹204 and ₹354. The trio ships with all three bottles in the same size - there is no mixed-size set, and SOSA states that mixing sizes means buying the three individually and losing the trio price.

A few format facts that matter for somebody meeting attars for the first time. These are concentrated oils with a built-in dab applicator, not sprays - the published instruction is to dab on pulse points and not to rub, because rubbing flattens the opening. The drydown develops after the first 30 minutes, which is the single most useful thing to tell a beginner: what an attar smells like in the first minute is not what it is. Published wear is 6 to 8 hours per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin, and a 3ml is roughly 60 wears at one dab. All four are alcohol-free, DPG-free and IFRA-compliant, carried on Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba, hand-blended in small batches in Pune. Attar oils can stain light silks, so skin rather than a collar. The trio's bottles come in a single gift-ready box - the only presentation SOSA publishes - and heat-stability to 45 degrees is published on the trio and Adaa pages.

The fact that changes most of these questions
The trio is one published combination. You do not choose the three.
Almost every version of this question arrives phrased as a curation problem - which three directions should I pick for her? - and the honest answer is that the published SOSA Attar Trio is a fixed set: Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, in whichever single size you choose. Adaa, the lightest of the four, is not in it - SOSA publishes it as the daytime attar and sells it on its own. And the trio ships with all three bottles in the same size; SOSA's own page states that a different three, or three different sizes, means buying individually and losing the trio price. So the real decision is not which three. It is whether these three are the right three for what you already know about their taste - and where they are not, the page should say so rather than sell you the box. The prices are ₹1,055 in 3 x 3ml, ₹1,859 in 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 in 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 for the same bottles bought singly. What any of them does on a particular person, and what that person makes of being given them, is not something SOSA publishes and not something this page will invent.

The SOSA gifting range

Two questions settle almost every attar gift where you already know what they wear, and the first one is not price. Are you buying breadth or depth? Breadth means three bottles to put on skin over a week, which is what the published trio is for; depth means one 12ml in a direction you are already confident about. Then: does what you know about their taste sit inside what the trio actually contains? The trio is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - warm rose and saffron, white royal oud, and night-jasmine with Damask rose. It has no light, fresh or citrus-led bottle in it, because Adaa is the lightest of the four and is sold separately from ₹379. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.

SOSA Attar Trio - 3 x 3ml Three to smell, not one to guess ₹1,055 for Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani in 3ml each, against ₹1,173 bought singly. The published figure for a 3ml is roughly 60 wears at one dab - enough to actually live with a scent rather than sniff it ₹1,055
SOSA Attar Trio - 3 x 6ml The middle size ₹1,859 against ₹2,063 bought singly. The same three attars; the trio ships with all three bottles in the same size ₹1,859
SOSA Attar Trio - 3 x 12ml Three full bottles ₹3,189 against ₹3,543 bought singly. The largest published size of each, in one gift-ready box ₹3,189
Adaa - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml The lightest in the range ₹379, ₹669 and ₹1,149. Bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk. Adaa is not in the trio - SOSA publishes it as the daytime attar and sells it separately from ₹379
Ameeri - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml Warm, rose and saffron led ₹385, ₹679 and ₹1,165. Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, a measured oudh and amber from ₹385
Mastani - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml Floral depth ₹389, ₹685 and ₹1,179. Night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka from ₹389
Nawaab - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml The deepest in the range ₹399, ₹699 and ₹1,199. White royal oud led, with Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf. SOSA publishes this as the deepest of the four from ₹399
SOSA solid body perfumes - 15g Worn, and smaller still ₹459 to ₹549. The other worn format in the range. No wear-time figure is published for these, so this page does not give one from ₹459
SOSA reed diffusers A room, not a person From ₹749 in 50ml. Listed here only to rule it out: a reed diffuser scents a room and an attar is worn. They are not substitutes, and a fragrance-taste question is not answered by a bottle that sits on a shelf from ₹749

The single most useful fact on this page: the published Attar Trio is one fixed combination. It is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, every time, and all three bottles ship in the size you select. Adaa cannot be substituted into it, and there is no mixed-size trio - SOSA's own page says that if you want a different three, or three different sizes, you buy the bottles individually and the trio discount does not apply. Published across all five pages: 6 to 8 hours of wear per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin, a built-in dab applicator (dab on pulse points, do not rub), a carrier of Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba, and alcohol-free, DPG-free, IFRA-compliant formulations hand-blended in small batches in Pune. A 3ml is published at roughly 60 wears at one dab. Attar oils can stain light silks, so they go on skin rather than on fabric. Prices above are the published selling prices; bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available, with quantities settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. SOSA is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

The honest spec sheet
What the SOSA attar pages publish, and what they do not
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
  • The four attars and their prices - Adaa, bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk, ₹379 / ₹669 / ₹1,149; Ameeri, Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh and amber, ₹385 / ₹679 / ₹1,165; Mastani, night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka, ₹389 / ₹685 / ₹1,179; Nawaab, white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf, ₹399 / ₹699 / ₹1,199. In 3ml, 6ml and 12ml. Those four are the entire attar range.
  • The trio - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani at ₹1,055, ₹1,859 and ₹3,189 for 3 x 3ml, 3 x 6ml and 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 bought singly. It is one fixed combination, all three bottles in the same size, and Adaa is not in it. A different three, or mixed sizes, means buying individually at full price.
  • Wear - 6 to 8 hours on skin per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin, with the drydown developing after the first 30 minutes. A 3ml is published at roughly 60 wears at one dab. That is the only quantity figure SOSA gives for an attar.
  • The format - a concentrated oil attar with a built-in dab applicator; dab on pulse points and do not rub. Carrier of Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba. Alcohol-free, DPG-free, IFRA-compliant, skin-safe, heat-stable to 45 degrees C, hand-blended in small batches in Pune by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles trained. Attar oils can stain light silks, so they go on skin rather than fabric.
  • Relative depth, in SOSA's own words - Adaa is published as the lightest of the four and Nawaab as the deepest, with Ameeri and Mastani between them. That ordering is published; no number from any product page is quoted here, and no claim is made about how any of them behaves on a particular person.
  • Not published, and therefore never stated here: any sillage, projection or room-distance figure; any shelf life, expiry, concentration or oil percentage; any seasonal or skin-chemistry claim beyond "longer on warm or oily skin"; any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break or lead time; any presentation beyond the trio's single gift-ready box and a custom label or logo on product; and anything whatsoever about what a recipient will like or how a gift will be received. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.

A note from Sonal

The message we get most often on WhatsApp is not what should I buy. It is a more specific and more interesting problem: I know exactly what she wears. I have known for years. I just cannot buy it again. That person is not short of information. They are short of a next step, which is a different thing entirely, and almost nothing written about fragrance gifting treats it as different.

Here is the part I would want them to hold on to. Knowing somebody's signature tells you where they started, not where they would go. A person who has worn one bottle for a decade has usually not rejected the alternatives - they have never had three of them on their own skin at the same time. So the useful gift is not a better guess at one bottle. It is evidence: several things to wear, on separate days, and the chance to notice which one they reach for without being asked to be polite about it.

The part I will be blunt about, because our own product page is blunt about it: the trio is one fixed set. Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, all three in whichever size you choose. It is not assembled around a person's taste, Adaa is not in it, and if somebody wears bright citrus and nothing else, that box is the wrong box - Adaa on its own is the honest answer, and it costs a great deal less. I would rather lose the larger sale than have three bottles sit unopened on somebody's dressing table.

And the thing nobody selling fragrance should pretend to know: I cannot tell you what they will like. I can tell you what is in each bottle, that one dab carries six to eight hours, that a 3ml is roughly sixty wears, and that all four are alcohol-free and blended here in Pune. What happens when a particular person puts a particular attar on a particular wrist is genuinely theirs to find out - and giving them three ways to find it out is, I think, the whole point.

Frequently asked questions

Does SOSA say the trio is wrong for fresh-fragrance wearers?
It publishes a list of reasons not to buy the trio, and one of them names people who prefer fresh, light, citrusy attars, on the grounds that the set is depth, warmth and floral. Another names anybody who needs a daytime or office attar. Both point to Adaa, the lightest of the four, from Rs 379. That is the store's own published position and this page repeats it rather than working around it.
Can I swap one bottle in the trio for Adaa?
No. The SOSA Attar Trio is one fixed published combination - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - and all three bottles come in the single size you select. There is no substitution and no mixed-size version. If you want a different three, or three different sizes, you buy the bottles individually and the trio price no longer applies. Adaa and the trio on one order is two lines, at Rs 1,434 in 3ml.
Is a 3ml enough for someone who has never worn an attar?
SOSA publishes a 3ml at roughly 60 wears at one dab, which is roughly a fortnight of daily wear from one bottle. For somebody working out what they like, that is the point: each scent gets lived with rather than sampled. No wear figure is published for the 6ml or the 12ml, so nobody should be scaling that number, and the larger tiers are for supply rather than for discovery.
If he cannot describe what he likes, how would three attars help?
By giving him things to compare. A vocabulary for fragrance comes from noticing differences, and differences need at least two reference points - which is why one bottle produces a reaction and three produce a ranking. What this page cannot tell you is which of the three he would rank first, because SOSA publishes no information whatsoever about how any person responds to any of them.
What is the difference between an attar and the fresh spray he wears?
Format and concentration are what SOSA publishes: an attar here is a concentrated oil, alcohol-free and DPG-free, carried on Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba, applied by dabbing on pulse points rather than spraying, and it is published at 6 to 8 hours of wear per bottle with the drydown after the first 30 minutes. This page makes no comparison to any other brand or product, and no claim that one format outlasts another.
SOSA fragrance gift
Take the next step
Two defensible answers here, and the choice between them is yours
Adaa on its own from ₹379 when the gift should start near ground he recognises - bergamot, green cardamom and neroli, the lightest of the four, no oud in the list, and the bottle SOSA's own trio page points fresh wearers towards. The 3 x 3ml trio at ₹1,055 when breadth is the point and you accept that none of the three is fresh, with roughly 60 wears in each bottle to make the trial real. Both on one order at ₹1,434 in 3ml when you want four directions and one near-familiar starting point. The 3 x 6ml at ₹1,859 or 3 x 12ml at ₹3,189 only when you expect all three to be worn down rather than sorted through.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the reasoning about how to buy fragrance for somebody whose taste you partly know applies to any brand.

Specifications verified from the live SOSA product pages, September 2026: SOSA publishes four attars and one pack of three, and that is the entire attar range. Adaa - bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac, magnolia, white musk, vetiver and cedarwood - is ₹379 in 3ml, ₹669 in 6ml and ₹1,149 in 12ml. Ameeri - Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh, amber and white musk - is ₹385, ₹679 and ₹1,165. Mastani - night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka - is ₹389, ₹685 and ₹1,179. Nawaab - white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf - is ₹399, ₹699 and ₹1,199. The SOSA Attar Trio is one fixed combination - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - at ₹1,055 for 3 x 3ml, ₹1,859 for 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 for 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 for the same bottles bought singly. All three bottles in a trio ship in the same size and in a single gift-ready box. Adaa is not in the trio; SOSA publishes it as the daytime attar, sold separately, and the trio page states that a different combination or mixed sizes means buying individually without the trio price. Published across all five pages: 6 to 8 hours of wear per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin; a drydown that develops after the first 30 minutes; roughly 60 wears in a 3ml at one dab; a built-in dab applicator, dabbed on pulse points rather than rubbed; a carrier of Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba; alcohol-free, DPG-free, IFRA-compliant and skin-safe; heat-stable to 45 degrees C; hand-blended in small batches in Pune; country of origin India. Attar oils can stain light silks and are applied to skin rather than fabric. For comparison: SOSA solid body perfumes are ₹459 to ₹549 in 15g and are also worn, though no wear-time figure is published for them; SOSA reed diffusers from ₹749 scent a room rather than a person and are not an alternative to an attar. What is not published, and is therefore not stated here: any sillage, projection or room-distance figure; any shelf life, expiry, concentration or oil percentage; any seasonal or skin-chemistry claim beyond "longer on warm or oily skin"; any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break or lead time; and any presentation beyond the trio's single gift-ready box and a custom label or logo on product. Limits of this guide: no claim is made anywhere on this page about mood, stress, calm, sleep, headaches, sensitivity or wellbeing, in either direction. No claim is made about what any recipient will like. Nothing here states or implies that a named person will enjoy, prefer, adopt or be impressed by any fragrance, that a scent will suit them or become their signature, or that a gift will be well received; SOSA publishes no information of that kind and none is invented here. No third-party perfume, perfume house or brand is named, and no resemblance, alternative or dupe claim is made about any SOSA product. No rating, review count, strength score or customer name from any product page is cited, and no competitor or category of competing product is characterised. No statement is made about what any community, religion or family wears or gives, and no etiquette rule is presented as fact. No fragrance is assigned to a gender; SOSA publishes all four attars as wearable by anyone. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; that is the only branding option, and quantities are settled on WhatsApp. SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, sending orders across India, with no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
