Take the disappointing part first, because it changes how you should read everything below. Half of this arithmetic cannot be supplied on a page, by SOSA or by anybody else. There is no bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break and no per-unit cost published anywhere, and no cost per bottle at your volume can honestly be given. So the "what this costs us" column is a WhatsApp conversation, not an article. What can be set out here is the other half - the part that needs none of SOSA's numbers, because it is about what each option does to your own invoice. That half is real, and most people deciding this have never actually looked at it.
One side of this comparison is published and one is not. SOSA car perfume, 12ml, ₹449 to ₹509 - two variants at the same price: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). No bulk rate, minimum quantity or per-unit cost is published, so that half is a conversation. Alcohol-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India.
Quick answers — read this first
Is it better to give a gift above a minimum invoice value or just reduce the price? They are structurally different, which is the part you can decide on. A reduction is subtracted from the invoice and permanently edits what your own work is priced at; an object is handed over after the invoice and leaves the figure untouched. The cost comparison itself needs a number SOSA does not publish - that goes to WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
What does a car perfume cost an automotive retailer at volume? That figure does not exist on any page. SOSA publishes no bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break, no lead time and no per-unit cost, and no honest per-bottle figure at your volume can be given here. The published retail band is ₹449 to ₹509 at 12ml. Bulk orders are welcome and the numbers are settled on WhatsApp.
What can be decided without the supplier's numbers? The structural half. A price cut becomes the figure your customer holds, and your next quote is measured against it. An object never enters the invoice, so there is nothing on the document to argue with later. That is knowable arithmetic on your own paper, and it does not depend on what a bottle costs you.
The short answer
Short answer: Half of it cannot be answered on a page. SOSA publishes no bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break and no per-unit cost, so the cost side is a WhatsApp conversation on +91 96192 18531. The half that can be answered: a discount is subtracted from the invoice and edits what your own work is priced at, while an object is handed over after the invoice and leaves it intact. Published retail is Rs 449 to Rs 509 at 12ml.
The pick: Neither, until you have the missing number - and only one side of the sum is published. The retail band is ₹449 to ₹509 at 12ml; your cost at volume is a conversation.
Why: Because the structural difference is decidable today and the cost comparison is not, and running them together is how retailers end up choosing on a figure somebody invented.
A gift cannot change how somebody's week went, and a page that suggests otherwise is not worth reading. What a small parcel does is tell a person you were thinking about them on a day when nothing made you - which is a real thing to say, and worth saying. Keep it small, because a large one asks somebody already short of energy to produce a reaction, and send the words separately, because the object cannot carry them.
How should an automotive retailer work out whether giving a car perfume above a minimum invoice value is commercially sensible compared with just offering a discount?
By splitting the question in two, because only one half of it can be answered anywhere. The half that cannot: what the object costs you. SOSA publishes no bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break, no lead time and no per-unit cost, and no cost per bottle at your volume can honestly be stated here. The published retail band is ₹449 for Jasmine, ₹479 for Sandalwood and Lavender, ₹489 for Icy Mint, ₹499 for Lemon, and ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at 12ml, and retail is not what a retailer buying regularly would be working from - which is precisely why the comparison cannot be completed on a page. Bulk orders are welcome and that half is settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. The half that can be answered needs none of SOSA's figures. A discount is subtracted from the invoice. It changes the document, it changes what your own work is priced at, and the customer leaves holding the edited number - so the next quote you write is measured against it. An object is handed over after the invoice is settled. It has no line, it does not appear in the total, and the invoice keeps saying what your work is priced at. That is a genuine structural difference and you can weigh it today. What you should not do is let anybody complete the sum for you with a number they do not have. On the product: both variants are published at the same price - Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw) - and every SOSA car fragrance is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One column of this comparison is published and the other is not. A page that fills in the missing column is guessing, and guessing about your money.
The published half: the 12ml range, ₹449 to ₹509, spray or hanging at one price. The unpublished half is your cost at volume, and that is a conversation.
The half you can work out, the half that is a conversation, and the claim to refuse
Three parts, and the order matters: what you can settle today, what you have to ask for, and what you should refuse to be told.
1
The decidable half
A discount edits your price. An object does not touch it.
This is the part that needs nobody's numbers but your own, and it is the part most people skip on their way to a spreadsheet.
A discount is subtracted from the invoice. That is not a figure of speech - it happens on the document, in front of the customer, and the document is what they take away. Say you decide on a five hundred rupee reduction on jobs above a level you set. What has happened is not that you spent five hundred rupees. What has happened is that your own work now has two prices: the one on the board and the lower one that was actually accepted. The customer holds the second one, and when they return for the same job, your next quote is being compared with it rather than with your board.
An object is handed over after the invoice is settled. There is no line for it, it does not change the total, and nothing about your pricing has been edited. The invoice still says what an alignment, a service or a set of tyres is priced at in your business.
That difference is structural, it is permanent on one side and absent on the other, and you can weigh it today without a single figure from any supplier. Whichever way you decide, decide that part first - because it does not go away once the cost numbers arrive.
Tip: A reduction is an edit to your own price list. An object is not on the document at all.
2
The half that is a conversation
Why the cost column cannot be printed, and what to take to WhatsApp
Here is the flat statement. SOSA publishes no bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break, no lead time and no per-unit cost anywhere, and no honest cost per bottle at your volume can be given on a page. There is no trade programme, no dealer pricing and no published list to be sent. Anybody who quotes you one has made it up, and the whole point of this page collapses if it does the same.
The published retail band is ₹449 to ₹509 at 12ml, with a 50ml spray at ₹1,499, Discovery Sets at ₹699 to ₹899 and combos at ₹899 and ₹949. Those are the shelf figures, and a retailer buying regularly is not working from shelf figures - which is exactly why the comparison stops here rather than pretending.
So take these four things to WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531: the invoice level you are thinking of attaching it to, roughly how many invoices a month clear it, whether you want custom label or logo on product, and how you would hand it over. Bulk orders are welcome and that is the conversation they belong in.
One caution while you are collecting numbers. No cost per spray can honestly be given either, for any scent, so an argument built on that basis is built on nothing.
3
The refusal
The two claims that will be offered to you, and why both are empty
The first claim: the gift is worth more to the customer than it costs you. That sentence needs two numbers - what it costs you, which is not published, and what a customer privately values it at, which nobody measures. SOSA states no perceived value of any kind and this page will not invent one. A comparison built on it is two guesses multiplied together.
The second claim: the gift produces an outcome. That customers who receive it behave differently, come back sooner, or say something to somebody else. SOSA publishes no data of any kind on what a gift does to customer behaviour, and nobody selling you one has it either. What is knowable stops at the mechanism: the object goes into the vehicle, it is used there, and if it carries your label the label goes with it. What that is worth to you is a judgement, and judgements are allowed - they just should not be dressed up as arithmetic.
Two more things that are simply not published, so they cannot enter your sum. SOSA does not publish how long a 12ml bottle lasts, in either form, for any scent; only Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only, publishes about 100 sprays at 10ml (₹549) and about 500 sprays at 50ml (₹1,499). And branding is exactly one thing: custom label or logo on product - no custom box, no printed sleeve, no insert card and no ribbon.
Tip: Decide the structural half yourself. Get the cost half from WhatsApp. Refuse the rest.
The two variants, and why the price is not the question
Spray or Hanging - same product, same price, different control
The store publishes both forms of every 12ml scent and names them plainly: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). They cost the same - ₹449 for Jasmine up to ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver. So the decision is about two other things. Who decides when the scent happens: a spray sits in a glovebox until somebody picks it up; a hanging bottle works from the moment it goes in. And what stays visible: the hanging bottle hangs where the owner sees it, the spray does not. When the car belongs to your customer, those two usually settle it. Only Mysore Orange Blossom publishes a life: about 100 sprays at 10ml, about 500 at 50ml. No 12ml bottle publishes one, in either form.
How to reach a decision without a number nobody has
Settle the structural half first: a reduction edits your price, an object does not.
Name your own figures - the reduction you had in mind, the invoice level.
Accept that the cost side is unpublished, and stop treating it as knowable.
Take invoice level and monthly count to WhatsApp. No rate is published first.
The SOSA principle
The reason this decision goes wrong is that it looks like arithmetic all the way through, so people complete it with the one number they were given rather than stopping where the published information stops.
One column is real and one is a conversation, and keeping them apart is the difference between a decision and a guess with a total at the bottom.
What the range actually publishes, from a 12ml bottle upwards
What is published about the product itself is straightforward, and it is worth knowing before you ask about anything else. Eight 12ml scents: Jasmine at ₹449, Sandalwood at ₹479, Lavender at ₹479, Icy Mint at ₹489, Lemon at ₹499, and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at ₹509. Each is sold as Spray (Strong scent-throw) or Hanging (Mild scent-throw) at the same price, so the form is never a budget lever you can pull to make a threshold work. Each also carries a 50ml spray at ₹1,499. Mysore Orange Blossom at ₹549 is spray only. All are alcohol-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India, and a fragrance adds a scent - it does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify a smell.
The SOSA gift edit
Four ways to structure this, and what each one does to the document
The option
Who it suits, and where it fails
A reduction on the invoice · a figure you choose
Immediate, needs no handling and every customer understands it without a word from you. It edits what your own work is priced at, the customer keeps the edited figure, and your next quote is measured against it. The amount is the visible cost; the edit is the one that lasts.
A bottle above an invoice level you set · retail ₹449 to ₹509
No line on the invoice, so your pricing stays intact, and the object goes into the vehicle. What it costs you at volume is not published anywhere, so this row cannot be completed on a page - that part is settled on WhatsApp before you commit to a threshold.
A bottle on every invoice, no threshold · retail ₹449 to ₹509
Simplest to run at a counter, because nobody has to check a total or explain who qualifies. It is also the version most exposed to the unpublished cost side, since the volume is every job rather than the top slice of them.
A Discovery Set for the top band only · ₹699 to ₹899
Three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, which is a visible step up for a large invoice without touching the price of the work. The trios are fixed rather than assembled to order, and the same unpublished cost question applies.
What exists for handing out in quantity, and what does not
Sets, combos, refills - and the four things nobody publishes
For businesses handing something to a lot of customers, this is the honest inventory. The Car Perfume Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Combos pair two scents at ₹899 and ₹949. 15ml refills are ₹399 to ₹449 and they refill the hanging bottle. Now the gaps, because you are planning around them: the trios are fixed and a build-your-own set is not offered; no spray refill is published; no bulk rate, minimum, lead time or per-unit cost is published anywhere; and no cost per spray can honestly be given.Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available - that is the one branding option. Quantities are settled on WhatsApp.
The rest of the range, so you know what a threshold could reach for. The Car Perfume Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999; the trios are fixed, so a chosen-to-order three is not offered. Combos pair two scents at ₹899 and ₹949. 15ml refills at ₹399 to ₹449 are for the hanging bottle, and there is no spray refill product at all, only a system described as in development. Higher again, SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 is a cordless waterless diffuser with three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off - roughly eight times a 12ml spray, which puts it outside most thresholds an automotive retailer would set.
Published as Spray (Strong scent-throw). Applied when somebody decides to apply it, and nothing stays visible in the cabin afterwards. Eight scents, ₹449 to ₹509 at 12ml.
Published as Hanging (Mild scent-throw), and the same price as the spray. It runs continuously once it is in the car, and it is visible from the driver's seat.
Three travel-size mini sprays in one box, in eight fixed curated trios from ₹699 to ₹899, plus a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. The trios are fixed and a build-your-own set is not offered.
from ₹699
The one published fact that settles most of this decision
Spray and Hanging are the same price. So the choice is never the money.
Every SOSA car scent is sold in two forms and the store names them plainly: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). They cost exactly the same - ₹449 for Jasmine, ₹479 for Sandalwood and Lavender, ₹489 for Icy Mint, ₹499 for Lemon, and ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at 12ml. So the decision is not a budget decision at all. It is two other things. Who decides when the scent happens: a spray waits in a glovebox until somebody picks it up, while a hanging bottle starts working the moment it goes in and keeps working. And what stays visible: a hanging bottle hangs where the owner sees it, and a spray does not. For a business handing something to a customer, those two facts usually decide it on their own, because the car belongs to the customer and not to you. Every one of these is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Only one scent publishes how long it lasts:Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only, about 100 sprays at 10ml for ₹549 and about 500 sprays at 50ml for ₹1,499. No 12ml bottle publishes a life, in either form.
Tell SOSA who it is for, roughly how big the room is, whether their home is already scented and what you want to spend - and you will be told which size and which scent, including the times the honest answer is the 50ml rather than the 130ml.
You can finish half of this sum tonight with your own invoices in front of you. The other half does not exist on any page, and the honest thing to do with it is ask.
— Sonal Sahani, SOSA
The SOSA gifting range
Two questions settle almost every reed diffuser gift, and the first one is not price. How big is the room it is going into? A 50ml suits a bedroom, a study, a hallway or a first diffuser; a 130ml suits an open-plan living and dining area, and it is genuinely too much for a small closed bedroom. Then: how much do you actually know about their taste? The less you know, the less declarative the scent should be - Morning Freshness is the safest of the five for a home you have never stood in, and Fresh Brew coffee-vanilla is the strongest opinion in the range. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.
The SOSA car range, sorted by who controls when the scent happens
Start from control and visibility, not from the price
Eight scents at ₹449 to ₹509. Applied on demand by whoever is holding it, and it leaves nothing visible in the cabin - which is why it suits a car the giver does not own
₹3,999 - rechargeable, three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off, so a driver controls when it runs. Imported rather than made in India
₹3,999
Spray and Hanging are the same product at the same price. The store publishes them as Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw), and the choice is scent-throw and who controls it, never budget. Every SOSA car fragrance is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Fragrance adds a scent to a cabin; it does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is not a substitute for cleaning a car. No spray refill is published - the 15ml refills are for the hanging bottle. Prices above are published retail prices; bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available, and quantities, rates and anything commercial are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 rather than published here. SOSA is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The honest spec sheet
What the SOSA car pages publish, and what they do not
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
Two forms, one price - Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw) are published as variants of the same 12ml product at the same price: Jasmine ₹449, Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479, Icy Mint ₹489, Lemon ₹499, and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Every one also carries a 50ml spray at ₹1,499.
Composition - alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free, IFRA-compliant, formulated by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles trained, and made in India.
The only published longevity - Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only: about 100 sprays at 10ml (₹549) and about 500 sprays at 50ml (₹1,499), published as about 50 days at two sprays a day and 3 months and above at one. No other scent publishes a spray count or a duration, and no 12ml bottle publishes a life in either form.
Sets and combos - the Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Combos are ₹899 and ₹949. The trios are fixed; a build-your-own set is not offered.
Not published, and therefore never stated here: any bulk rate, minimum quantity, slab, price break, lead time, turnaround or per-unit cost; any trade, partner or dealer programme; any cost per spray; how long a 12ml bottle lasts; and anything at all about what a gift does to customer retention, referrals or repeat business. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
Working out what to hand a customer, and how many? Tell SOSA on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 four things: what your business actually does, roughly how many customers a month you are talking about, whether you want the customer to control the scent or the car to carry it continuously, and what you want to spend per customer. You will get a straight answer rather than a catalogue. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available - that is the one branding option, and there is no custom box, sleeve, insert or printed packaging. What is not on this page, because SOSA does not publish it: any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break, lead time or per-unit cost; any trade, partner or dealer programme; how long a 12ml bottle lasts in either form; any spray count for any scent except Mysore Orange Blossom; and any cost per spray. One thing worth knowing before you plan around it: the 15ml refills are for the hanging bottle, and no spray refill is published, so a spray is a sealed unit rather than a topped-up one. Where SOSA is: an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India, with no shop, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city.

A note from Sonal
The enquiries that come from automotive businesses are refreshingly unsentimental. Nobody writes to me about the magic of a first drive. They write: we hand over ninety cars a month, we currently give a keychain, and we are fairly sure nobody keeps it. That is a good question, and it deserves a better answer than a brochure.
So here is the part I would want you to take away, and it is the only part that is actually a fact. The spray and the hanging bottle are the same product at the same price. Jasmine is ₹449 either way. Oud is ₹509 either way. That surprises people, because they assume one must be the upgrade. Neither is. What you are choosing between is who decides when the scent happens and whether anything stays visible in the cabin - and when the car belongs to your customer rather than to you, those two questions usually answer themselves.
The part I will not pretend about is the part most of these enquiries are really asking. I cannot tell you that a gift brings anybody back. Nobody selling you a gift can, and the ones who say they can are selling you something else. What I can tell you is the mechanism: a small bottle goes into a car, it does not need fitting or explaining, it works the same in a hatchback and in a seven-seater, and if the customer likes it they will use it where they spend an hour a day. What that is worth to your business is your judgement, not mine.
And the honest gaps, because you are planning around them. There is no published bulk rate, no minimum, no lead time and no per-unit cost - not because they are secret but because they are settled properly in a conversation, and a page that invented them would be lying to you. Custom label or logo on product is real, and it is the only branding there is.
Frequently asked questions
What would a car perfume cost us at the volume we would actually buy?
That figure is not published anywhere and this page will not invent it. No bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break, no lead time and no per-unit cost exists on any SOSA page, and no honest cost per bottle at your volume can be stated here. The published retail band is Rs 449 to Rs 509 at 12ml. Bulk orders are welcome and the numbers are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
What can we decide before we have that number?
The structural half, and it is more than people expect. A reduction is subtracted from the invoice, so it edits what your own work is priced at and the customer keeps the edited figure into the next conversation. An object is handed over after the invoice is settled, so it has no line and changes no total. That difference is real, it is permanent on one side, and it does not depend on what anything costs you.
Is a gift worth more to the customer than the money it costs us?
Nobody can tell you that and this page will not. It would need two numbers that do not exist: what the object costs you at volume, which is not published, and what a customer privately values it at, which nobody measures. SOSA states no perceived value figure of any kind. Treat any comparison built on that claim as two guesses with a total underneath them.
Will attaching a gift to a minimum invoice value do anything for our business?
SOSA cannot tell you that, because no data on what a gift does to customer behaviour is published by SOSA or by anybody else in this trade. What is knowable is the mechanism and the document: your pricing stays where you set it, and an object goes into the vehicle and gets used there. Whether that is worth the unpublished cost is a judgement you make, not a number you can be handed.
Does the hanging bottle cost less than the spray, so we could use it for a lower threshold?
No. Both are the same 12ml product at the same price, published by the store as Spray for strong scent-throw and Hanging for mild scent-throw, so there is no cheaper form to drop a threshold onto. The difference is who controls when the scent happens and whether anything stays visible in the cabin. If you need a lower-value tier, it has to come from somewhere other than the form.
Take the next step
Settle the half you can, then bring the rest to WhatsApp
The 12ml range at ₹449 to ₹509, spray or hanging at one price, is the published side of this decision. A Discovery Set from ₹699 if a top invoice band needs something visibly larger. No bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break or per-unit cost is published, so nothing here can finish the sum - take your invoice level and your monthly count to WhatsApp, where custom label or logo on product can be discussed at the same time.
Not sure which one suits the person you are buying for? Send SOSA their age, whether they drive, whether they like their home scented and your budget on WhatsApp, and you will get an honest answer - including when the cheaper product is the better gift.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the buying reasoning applies to any brand.
Specifications verified from the live SOSA product pages, September 2026: every SOSA car fragrance is published in two forms of the same 12ml product - Spray, described on the store as strong scent-throw, and Hanging, described as mild scent-throw - and the two forms are the same price. Those prices are Jasmine ₹449; Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479; Icy Mint ₹489; Lemon ₹499; and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Each of those products also carries a 50ml car perfume spray at ₹1,499. Limits of this guide: fragrance adds a scent to a cabin. It does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is never a substitute for cleaning a vehicle. No claim is made anywhere on this page about mood, stress, calm, alertness or wellbeing, nor about the safety of any product for children, pregnant passengers, elderly passengers or pets, nor about flammability, nor about how any customer or passenger will feel. No claim is made about business outcomes. Nothing on this page states or implies that a gift increases customer retention, referrals, repeat business, reviews, recall or sales; SOSA publishes no data of that kind and none is invented here. No competitor is named or characterised, and no rating, review count or customer name from any product page is cited. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; that is the only branding option, and quantities are settled on WhatsApp. SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, sending orders across India, with no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city.
