Yes, and almost always by you rather than by anyone else - which turns out to be the better version anyway. I want to be precise here, because this is the question where wedding pages tend to imply services nobody has confirmed. Putting your names on a hundred fragrance gifts is achievable, lovely, and entirely within your control using tags, cards and ribbon you make or order yourself. Anything that would require a brand to print, label, apply or assemble on your behalf is a conversation to have directly with that brand, not something to read off a page and build a plan around. Here is what personalisation is genuinely for, the four things couples do at their own dining tables, and the honest line around the rest.
Quick answers — read this first
Can wedding return gifts be personalised with the couple's names? Yes, and the practical route is that you do it. Couples add the personal layer themselves once the products arrive: a handwritten tag tied with ribbon, a small card printed at their own local press with both names and the wedding date, a ribbon in the wedding's colours, or a sticker sheet ordered and applied to the outer box. That is what guests actually read as personal, because a human hand made it. Any printing, labelling, engraving, applying or packing done by the brand is not something to assume from a page - write to SOSA with your dates, headcount and delivery point and treat the answer you get as the answer. The gifts themselves start at Rs 379 for an attar.
What is the best way to put your names on a fragrance gift? On the outside, not on the product. A hang tag or a card is the strongest option for three reasons: it reads as personal because the handwriting or the print is visibly yours, it costs very little, and it never covers a product's own labelling or ingredient information, which you should not do. A tag in thick card stock with both names and the date, tied with ribbon in the wedding's colours around an attar bottle at Rs 379 to Rs 399 or a solid perfume tin from Rs 459, looks considered and takes an evening for a hundred units. Adhesive labels applied to the product itself are riskier: oils and heat lift them, and they can hide information that should stay visible.
Does personalisation actually change how a guest feels about the gift? More than the money does, which is the useful part. A guest who receives a good fragrance in a plain bag reads it as a nice gift; the same product with a handwritten tag carrying their name reads as having been thought about. Named tags for the closest fifty and printed cards for everyone else is a common and sensible split, because handwriting a hundred and eighty tags at midnight in wedding week is how good intentions turn into resentment. Spend your effort on the tag rather than on upgrading the product: an attar at Rs 379 with a hand-written name beats an attar at Rs 399 in a bare box, every time, and it costs less.
The short answer
Short answer: Yes - and the reliable route is that the couple does it. Personalisation that works: handwritten tags on card stock, your own printed cards from your own press, ribbon in the wedding's colours, and sticker sheets you order and apply to the outer box rather than the product. Put names on the outside, never over a product's own labelling or ingredient information. Any printing, labelling, engraving, assembly or packing by the brand is not an assumed service - write to SOSA with dates, headcount and delivery point and plan around the answer given. Gifts from Rs 379 (attars) and Rs 459 (solid perfumes).
The pick: a SOSA gift matched to the life they live - personal fragrance from ₹379, home fragrance from ₹379, the Safar for their car (₹3,999), the Vaayu for their business (₹11,999).
Shop: the SOSA gifts collection - alcohol-free, beautifully packaged, from ₹299.
The best fragrance gift is matched to the life the person lives: a scent for their skin, their home, their daily drive - or the business they are proudest of. SOSA covers the whole ladder, from a Rs 379 attar to the Rs 11,999 Vaayu, every step alcohol-free and beautifully packaged.
Can we get our names onto a hundred wedding return gifts, and who does that?
Yes, and here is the honest division of labour. 1. You buy the gift. An attar at ₹379 to ₹399, a solid perfume tin from ₹459, a candle from ₹379, or the Attar Trio at ₹1,055 for the people closest to you - published prices, ready to gift. 2. You add the names. A hang tag in thick card stock with both names and the date, handwritten or printed at your own press, tied with ribbon in the wedding's colours. This is the part guests photograph, and it is the part that reads as personal precisely because a hand did it. 3. Put it on the outside. Tags, cards, ribbon and outer-box stickers - never over the product's own labelling or ingredient information, which should stay visible and intact. 4. Ask about anything else. Printing, labelling, engraving, applying or packing done by the brand is not something to assume from a page. Write to SOSA with your headcount, per-guest budget, delivery point and in-hand date, and build the plan on the reply rather than the hope. 5. Split the work. Handwritten names for the closest fifty, printed cards for the rest, done across two evenings rather than one. Made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: you buy the gift (attars from ₹379, solid perfumes from ₹459) and you add the names - tags, your own cards, your ribbon, on the outside only. Brand printing or labelling is a question to ask, never an assumption.
The gifting ladder at a glance: an attar for them (from ₹379), a reed diffuser or candle for their home (from ₹379), the Safar for their car (₹3,999), the Vaayu for their business (₹11,999) - all alcohol-free, all ready to gift.
What personalisation is for, and who actually does it
Three things to get straight: what personalisation is actually doing for a guest, the four routes couples use themselves, and the line that should never be crossed by assumption.
1
The point
What a name on a tag actually buys you
Personalisation is not decoration. It is the difference between a guest receiving a gift and a guest receiving their gift, and that distinction does a surprising amount of emotional work at the door on the way out. It also travels: a tag with two names and a date survives in a drawer long after the gift bag is thrown away, and it is the thing that makes someone say months later that this was from Rhea and Kabir's wedding rather than that it was a nice attar. What it does not need to be is elaborate. Thick card, two names, the date, good ribbon. Money spent upgrading the product from ₹379 to ₹399 changes nothing a guest notices; the same effort spent on a written tag changes the whole reception of the gift.
Tip: a guest cannot tell a ₹379 attar from a ₹399 one - but they can absolutely tell that someone wrote their name.
2
The methods
The four things couples do at their own dining tables
One: handwritten hang tags. Thick card stock, a good pen, both names and the date, tied around an attar bottle or a solid perfume tin with ribbon. Slow but unbeatable, so reserve it for the closest fifty. Two: printed cards from your own local press, ordered with your invitation stationery so the typeface matches - fast, consistent, and the standard for larger counts. Three: ribbon in the wedding's colours, which does more work than people expect because it visually unifies a hundred different-shaped gifts into one set. Four: sticker sheets you order yourself and apply to the outer box or bag rather than to the product. All four are things you control completely, on your own timeline, at your own cost, with your own suppliers, and all four are why the personalisation question rarely needs anyone else at all.
3
The line
What must be asked rather than assumed
Here is the boundary, stated plainly. What is published and available is the product range - attars from ₹379, solid perfumes from ₹459, candles from ₹379, reeds from ₹749, Hotel Collection blends from ₹299, the Safar at ₹3,999 - at those prices, in the packaging they come in. What is not something to assume is a bottle printed with your names, a label applied on your behalf, an engraved tin, hampers packed and assembled for you, or bulk terms of any kind. If you want any of those, write to SOSA directly with your dates, headcount, per-guest budget and delivery point, ask exactly what is and is not possible, and plan around the reply. Also, never remove or cover a product's own labelling or ingredient information to make room for yours.
Tip: buy the product from the page; ask about anything that would need the brand to print, label, engrave or pack.
The SOSA principle
The personalisation guests remember is the part your own hand made: a tag with their name, your ribbon, your card - added to a gift you simply bought at its published price.
Names on the outside, never over a product's own labelling; handwritten for the closest fifty, printed for the rest; and anything the brand would have to make asked about rather than assumed.

The SOSA gifting universe
Every SOSA gift is alcohol-free, long-lasting and beautifully packaged, handmade in small batches in India - and the range is built as a ladder, so there is a right gift at every budget and for every life. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Here is the whole universe at a glance.
The SOSA gifting universe
Match the gift to the life they live - skin, home, car or business
Waterless scent machine (~1000m³, app + timer) - gift a business its signature
₹11,999
Honest gifting notes: fragrance is personal - when you do not know their taste, choose a gift set (the Attar Trio, ₹1,055) or a home fragrance rather than a personal scent, and favour widely-loved families (sandalwood, citrus, soft florals) over polarising ones. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with any hotel brand. Ultrasonic diffusers use the water-based Hotel Collection fragrance; the Safar and Vaayu run waterless oil - the formats are not interchangeable. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

A note from Sonal
The gifts people remember are rarely the most expensive - they are the most seen. A scent is exactly that: it enters the person's daily life - on their skin, in their living room, in the car they drive to work, in the shop they built from nothing - and every time they meet it, they think of you.
That is why I built the SOSA range as a ladder rather than a shelf: an attar for the person, a candle or diffuser for their home, the Safar for their car, the Vaayu for their business. Match the gift to the life they live and it stops being a thing and becomes a habit - the daily moment where your gift keeps arriving. Everything is alcohol-free, long-lasting and handmade in small batches in India.
One honest note: fragrance is personal. If you do not know their taste, pick a gift set so they can choose, or scent their space instead of their skin - a home or car fragrance flatters almost everyone. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
Can SOSA print our names or the wedding date on the bottles?
That is a question to put to SOSA directly rather than one to answer from a page, and I would rather say that clearly than let a page imply a service. What is published and available is the range at its listed prices in its own packaging: attars from Rs 379, solid perfumes from Rs 459, candles from Rs 379, reeds from Rs 749, Hotel Collection blends from Rs 299. If printed names, labels, engraving or packing matter to your plan, write with your dates, headcount, per-guest budget and delivery point, ask exactly what is possible, and build the plan around the reply you receive. In the meantime, the tag-and-card route described here is fully in your hands and works beautifully, so nothing is blocked while you wait for an answer.
Is it safe to stick our own label onto an attar bottle or a candle jar?
Only with care, and generally the outer packaging is the smarter surface. Three cautions. First, never cover or remove the product's own labelling, ingredient list, batch details or safety information - that information should stay visible and intact. Second, oils and warmth lift adhesives, so a label on an attar bottle handled in a hot week can peel, curl and look worse than no label at all; test one unit for several days before doing a hundred. Third, a candle jar heats in use, so nothing should be applied where a flame or the hot glass is involved. A hang tag or a belly band around the box avoids all three problems and looks more considered anyway.
How many gifts can we realistically handwrite?
About fifty per person per evening if the writing is short, and less than you think once wedding week actually arrives. Be honest with yourself about which week you will be doing this in. The workable pattern for a large wedding is a split: handwritten tags with individual names for the closest fifty guests, and a printed card with both your names and the date for everyone else, so the effort lands where it is felt most. Do the writing at least two weeks out, not in wedding week, and do it in two sittings with someone to help tie ribbon. Store the finished gifts flat, cool and out of the sun, and count them twice into labelled boxes by function or by family group.
Should the personalisation say the guest's name or just ours?
Both if you can, ours only if you cannot. A tag carrying the guest's name is what turns a gift into their gift, and it also solves distribution on the day, since a named tag means anyone can hand out gifts without checking a list. But it requires an accurate final list, which is exactly the thing that keeps changing until the last week, so many couples do named tags only for the fifty they are surest about and print the rest with just the two names and the date. If your list is volatile, do not fight it: print your names and the date, and write guest names on the day only for the people who mattered most.
Does personalisation justify spending less on the gift itself?
Yes, and it is one of the few genuinely free wins in wedding planning. Guests cannot perceive a twenty-rupee difference between one attar and another, and they cannot perceive most of what a gift costs at all once it is past a certain threshold of feeling considered. What they perceive instantly is whether anyone thought about them. So the right move at scale is to hold the product at a sensible published price - an attar at Rs 379, a solid perfume from Rs 459, a candle from Rs 379 - and put the extra effort into the tag, the ribbon and the handing over. Save the bigger spend, such as the Attar Trio at Rs 1,055, for the handful of people you would have bought something special for anyway.
