Does the bigger bottle save money? On volume, yes. Using Adaa: two 3mls come to ₹758 against ₹669 for the 6ml, four 3mls come to ₹1,516 against ₹1,149 for the 12ml, and two 6mls come to ₹1,338 against that same ₹1,149. The savings are ₹89, ₹367 and ₹189. All three are worth nothing on a composition you turn out not to wear, which is why the sequence matters more than the arithmetic.
How do I work out the right size for my application frequency? Measure it rather than estimate it. Write the date you opened the bottle on the box, then note each day how many dabs you applied and whether you topped up. After a fortnight you have your own rate, which you can set against the published prices. No drops-per-millilitre or cost per application is published for these bottles, by us or anybody else I have found, because there is no agreed method for measuring what one dab delivers.
₹500. One 3ml and change. Adaa ₹379, Ameeri ₹385, Mastani ₹389, Nawaab ₹399, leaving ₹121, ₹115, ₹111 or ₹101. Two 3mls would be ₹758 at the cheapest, so this is a one-bottle budget and the bottle is the small one. The full version of this budget, with what to check before spending it.
₹1,000. Two 3mls, ₹758 to ₹798 depending which two, which is the best information this budget can buy. Or one 6ml - ₹669, ₹679, ₹685, ₹699 - leaving ₹301 to ₹331. Not a 12ml: the cheapest is ₹1,149, so you are ₹149 short. And not the trio either, which at 3ml is ₹1,055, over by ₹55. The everyday version of this budget.
₹1,500. Any 12ml with change - ₹1,149, ₹1,165, ₹1,179 or ₹1,199, leaving ₹351 down to ₹301. Or the 3ml trio at ₹1,055, leaving ₹445, which is itself another 3ml with ₹46 to ₹66 back. Or two 6mls if you choose the cheaper pair: Adaa at ₹669 and Mastani at ₹685 come to ₹1,354, leaving ₹146. The luxurious-but-not-loud version of this budget.
₹2,000. A 12ml and a 3ml: ₹1,528 for two sizes of Adaa, ₹1,598 for two of Nawaab, leaving ₹472 or ₹402. Or all four compositions at 3ml for ₹1,552 with ₹448 left. Or the 6ml trio at ₹1,859, leaving ₹141. Or two 6mls and a 3ml at ₹1,727, leaving ₹273. Three 6mls come to ₹2,033, which is ₹33 over. The wedding version of this budget.
₹3,000. The 6ml trio at ₹1,859 with ₹1,141 still in your pocket, which is the shape I would choose. Or all four at 6ml for ₹2,732, leaving ₹268 - the whole range in a size you can live in. Note what has happened by this budget: you can buy everything we make, which means the only remaining question is what you will actually wear.
Now size, which is simpler than the category pretends. The 3ml, the 6ml and the 12ml are filled from the same blend. There is no junior version in the small bottle, so size is a volume decision and nothing else. Volume does get cheaper as the bottle grows and here is the proof, using Adaa: two 3mls come to ₹758 against ₹669 for the 6ml, a difference of ₹89; four 3mls come to ₹1,516 against ₹1,149 for the 12ml, a difference of ₹367; two 6mls come to ₹1,338 against the same ₹1,149, a difference of ₹189. For Nawaab the pattern holds: two 3mls ₹798 against ₹699, four 3mls ₹1,596 against ₹1,199. Every one of those savings is worth nothing on a composition you do not wear. Which is why the small premium bottle beats the large cheap one when you have smelled neither.
The trio, where three compositions are cheaper than three bottles. Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani. At 3ml the set is ₹1,055 against ₹1,173 bought singly, which saves ₹118. At 6ml it is ₹1,859 against ₹2,063, saving ₹204. At 12ml it is ₹3,189 against ₹3,543, saving ₹354. It does not include Adaa, the lightest of the four and the only fresh opening in the range. One good bottle against several to experiment with.
Application frequency, and the honest gap in this guide. You asked about it and I cannot give you a number. There is no published drops-per-millilitre figure for these bottles, no dabs-per-bottle figure and no cost per application, because measuring what one dab delivers needs a test method this category does not have. What you can do takes a fortnight: write the date you opened the bottle on the box, note each day how many dabs you applied and whether you topped up, and at the end you have your own rate to set against the published prices above. One dab at a pulse point is the dose, two if you want it read across a dinner table, and never rubbed in - oil opens with warmth and rubbing crushes the top of the composition. Why nobody publishes a cost per application, including us.
Verified ingredient claims, which is the phrase in your question I like most. Here is what is published for all four: alcohol-free, IFRA-compliant, a jojoba carrier with no DPG, a built-in dab applicator, hand-blended in small batches in Pune, and 6-8 hours on skin, longer on warm or oily skin. That is the whole of what I will state. Anything beyond it - a percentage of anything, or a question about a specific ingredient class - deserves an answer from us in writing rather than from an article, and you should ask. And before you order, confirm price, size, directions and the returns position on the live product page itself, because policies change and articles do not. What is and is not published about the contents.
So, the recommendation, stated as a sequence rather than a product. Pick the composition whose note list you can picture most clearly, or the trio if three of them are equally plausible. Buy it at 3ml - ₹379 to ₹399, or ₹1,055 for the three. Wear it for a fortnight, one dab, written down. Then buy the 6ml at ₹669 to ₹699 of whichever one you reached for without thinking, or the 12ml at ₹1,149 to ₹1,199 if you have already finished a bottle of it. That sequence costs slightly more in total than buying the big bottle on day one and it is the only version of this decision where you cannot lose much. Which of the four to buy first and the full consultation, if you would rather give us your inputs and have us answer.
The three variables, in the order they should decide
Budget sets what is reachable, preference sets which composition, and frequency sets the size - and only the first two should be settled before your first purchase.
The four compositions and the three sizes
Adaa is bergamot and green cardamom over jasmine sambac and white musk - the lightest, the only fresh opening, and the mogra answer here since jasmine sambac and mogra are the same flower: ₹379 at 3ml, ₹669 at 6ml, ₹1,149 at 12ml. Ameeri is Taif rose, Indian sandalwood and Persian saffron with soft oudh: ₹385, ₹679, ₹1,165. Mastani is night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over oudh: ₹389, ₹685, ₹1,179.

Nawaab is the deepest, nine materials from white royal oud through sandalwood, saffron, black pepper, cardamom, aged tobacco leaf, amber and leather to white musk: ₹399 at 3ml, ₹699 at 6ml, ₹1,199 at 12ml. The trio of Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani is ₹1,055, ₹1,859 and ₹3,189 at the three sizes. Depth order, lightest to deepest: Adaa, then Mastani, then Ameeri, then Nawaab.
The SOSA attar range
Every SOSA attar is alcohol-free and IFRA-compliant on a jojoba carrier with no DPG, hand-blended in small batches in Pune. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. There are four, and the honest way to read them is by depth - how much the base note is doing.
| Attar | Built on | What it is, honestly | 3ml |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adaa | Bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac, white musk | The lightest of the four and the easiest first attar. Jasmine sambac is mogra, so this is also the mogra answer | ₹379 |
| Ameeri | Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh | The warm one. Rose and sandalwood doing most of the work, with the oudh kept soft | ₹385 |
| Mastani | Night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, oudh | The most floral. A different jasmine and a different rose from Adaa and Ameeri | ₹389 |
| Nawaab | White royal oud, sandalwood, saffron, tobacco leaf, amber, leather | The deepest in the range. Not a first attar unless you already know you like oud | ₹399 |
| The trio | Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani together | Three of the four at once. The honest answer when you cannot choose and will not guess | ₹1,055 |
Four honest notes. A note list is not a smell. Every composition above is described in the words we would use ourselves, and those words still cannot tell you how it will sit on your skin - which is the whole reason the 3ml exists. On the sizes: 3ml, 6ml and 12ml are the same liquid, and the only reason to buy the larger ones is that you already know. If you have not worn it, buy the smallest and let it earn the upgrade. On wear: all four are 6-8 hours on skin, longer on warm or oily skin, and that is the only figure we publish. We do not publish a drop count, a per-application cost, or a comparison with how long anybody else's fragrance lasts - including sprays. On what we do not make: there is no standalone musk, sandalwood, amber, tuberose, vetiver, khus, aquatic or tobacco attar in this range. Four compositions is the whole range, and where your answer is not one of them, this page will say so rather than talk you into the nearest thing.
Versailles
Attars are the part of this business where the marketing is worst, and I would like ours to be the boring, accurate version. Most of the category sells a bottle on adjectives - royal, exotic, hypnotic, long-lasting - and on numbers nobody has measured. You cannot smell any of it before you pay, so the words are doing all the work, and almost nobody writes them honestly.
So here is what I will and will not tell you. I will tell you what is in each of the four, in the order you meet it, and that they wear 6-8 hours on my skin. I will not tell you that one of them smells expensive, or that it will turn heads, or that it lasts twelve hours, because I cannot know the first two about you and have not measured the third. The honest sequence is: read the notes, buy the 3ml, wear it for a week, and only then buy a size. If none of our four matches what you have described to yourself, I would rather say so than sell you the nearest one.
The other thing worth knowing is how little you need. An attar is concentrated oil, and the commonest mistake is wearing it like a spray - a long press at the neck and another at the wrists. One dab at a pulse point is the dose. Two if you want it read across a dinner table. Do not rub it in; oil opens with warmth, and rubbing crushes the top of it. That is the entire dial, and most people never need the top of it. A portion of every order supports girl-child education.

What this guide does not claim.
- An attar is a fragrance and nothing else.
- - it names what a composition is built from and the order you meet it in, which is a description of an intention rather than a measurement, and it is
- . Nothing here should be read as advice about health, allergies or anyone's wellbeing, and no fragrance on this page is claimed to affect anybody's mood, comfort, confidence or state of mind. Where a reader describes a preference none of our four compositions matches, these guides say so and sell nothing.

On wear.
- SOSA publishes one figure:
- . SOSA does not publish a drop count, a cost per application, a projection rating, or any comparison with how long another format or another company's fragrance lasts. Where a customer review reports a different number, that is one person's experience of their own skin and not a measurement SOSA stands behind.
On what is in the bottle.
- The composition lists above name the materials a fragrance is built from. They are not a statement of grade, percentage or geographic origin, and this guide makes no claim about either. Where origin or grade matters to you, ask before you buy - that is a fair question and the answer belongs to the product page rather than to an article.
On other companies.
- Where another fragrance brand is named in these guides it is because a reader named it, and the page answers what they asked. Nothing here states what any other company's product contains, how long it lasts, what it costs or how it performs.
- , and no other company has reviewed or approved this content. If a product you already own suits you, keep it - several pages in this guide say exactly that.
On availability.
- SOSA is an online fragrance house and ships across India; it holds no retail counters, and no delivery window is quoted here. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Prices and availability change - see the live product pages.
